We had a ticket with a 7am pickup but night before it changed to 5.25 pickup which being in our 70s we couldn’t make it . Our sole idea of going to krakow was to visit auswich so are very upset

The tour is operated in a group of a maximum of 30 people. During the trip, you will watch a documentary movie about the history of the Nazi concentration camps (subject to availability).
Guaranteed entry tickets! Visit the most well-known former concentration camp and the place of the biggest and most tragic genocide in the world history – The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum that has witnessed death of around 1.5 million people committed by the Nazis. During your trip, you will visit Auschwitz I, which was the first and main part of the camp but also served as administrative headquarters for the whole complex and Birkenau, which was initially designed as a concentration camp and quickly turned into the main place of the genocide with gas chambers and crematoria. Birkenau was also the place where women’s camp was located. It definitely is a must-see place in Poland, but also in Europe altogether.
After the tour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation or in the Krakow city center. If your hotel is located within the Old Town or Jewish Quarter, we will drop you off at the closest meeting point.

Overall the experience was unforgettable. Our tour guide for the 2 camp visits was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. However, due to the sheer volumes of groups coming through, the pace was so rapid there was no time to really look and appreciate the exhibits. If you don't cope with cramped small spaces the punishment cells area can be a bit claustrophobic. Saying that it gave a good appreciation of the appalling conditions the prisoners endured. Birkenhau camp involved a fair amount of walking over rough surfaces but great to be able to appreciate the sheer size of the camp. Unfortunately the minibus was very cramped and small seats with no legroom. Overhead rack too narrow to accommodate backpacks. Our driver provided little information on day schedule. It would have been useful to know when things like comfort breaks were planned for. Recommend to pack some food as a very early start and only short time allocated for break.
Communication for pick up was perfect and minibus on time at 0540. Took about an hour to reach Auschwitz. 10 minutes on arrival but wasn’t enough time to grab a coffee from a vending machine due to the queues for this. Tour guide was excellent (this is Auschwitz provided not your driver) we found the pace was good. At the end of site one, we had 10 minutes to use toilets or grab a coffee- again no time due to queues, then transferred on our minibus to the 2nd site. Which was guided by our same guide. This site is open-air and flat. The scale of this complex for what remains is quite harrowing. Once tour completed we had 15 minutes for toilet and to queue for lunch, managed to grab a sandwich as no time to wait on hot food and jump back on bus for the 90 minute journey back. You can pre book some food at time of booking which saves the queue. Overall this was a great educational experience, and a must for all to reflect on what happened here. Photos are permitted in most areas except for a few to remain respectful which is most understandable. There are alot of steps on site one with the buildings and a lot of walking.
Really can’t praise this company enough, would highly recommend their tours,Frank our driver had exceptional knowledge on every question he was asked, everything was explained very clearly, contact throughout was perfect, well done and many thanks
Everything was very well organised, from pick up to drop off. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and theres also an option to have lunch provided which was very nice. Would highly recommend.
Highly recommended using Mr Shuttle for day trips. Very friendly and well organised. Will be using them again.
Booked with Mr Shuttle as recommended by a friend. Pick up and driver were fine but tour was poor. Guide rushed us through with no time to stop and read information boards. He just continued the tour irrespective of whether everyone was with him. The Auchwitz tour was just a conveyor belt of groups again no time for reflection and at one point we joined the wrong group because our guide had disappeared. Tour of Birkenau was a waste of time. Very long walk to look at one barrack building. Did not visit the memorial etc even though we could see other groups there. My companion has done the trip before and thought that his earlier experience had been much better. I would have learned more if I had been able to move at my own pace with time to read and to reflect.
We are extremely satisfied with our visit to Auschwitz organized by Mr. Shuttle. Everything was perfectly arranged from start to finish. Our driver picked us up exactly on time, and the journey was comfortable and pleasant. The guide was also excellent – knowledgeable, professional, and very engaging throughout the tour. The entire experience was incredibly well organized, which allowed us to focus fully on this important and moving visit. We highly recommend Mr. Shuttle to anyone planning a trip to Auschwitz. Thank you for the outstanding service and flawless organization!
Absolutely fantastic company from start to finish the communication with this company has been brilliant. I cannot fault them at all. I booked them for both hotel pickup and Apple transfers and Auschwitz and they were on time. Very informative and always keeping in touch. Highly recommend them 100%. Can't fault them at all. The tour itself was brilliant. Heartbreaking but worth going the drive. I was lovely. I have nothing bad to say about this company
Excellent trip with amazing guide at Aushwitz. Thomas our driver was brilliant. On time and very organized and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Well organised trip. Travel timings as advertised. Time at Auschwitz thought provoking.
Very harrowing experience everyone should visit just to see for themselves. Would highly recommend mr shuttle good communication from start to finish, tour length what spot on
Hmm. I won't comment on the tour operator. Picked us up on time etc. Our issue was that you are herded at great speed through Auchwitz 1 with no time to stop and take in what you are seeing. The exhibits whizz by. The guide was very perfunctory and professional. Her accent was extremely difficult to understand and we missed a lot. I'd say that we left the site with far less emotional damage than we expected. There are no personal stories, no grim sights(sorry but it is necessary) and very little to indicate that hundreds of thousands or millions of people died. It seems very antiseptic and bland. Luckily I have good knowledge of what went on as I am old, but I'm sure that lots of younger folk leave there thinking "so what?". Such a shame. We've ticked it off now, but I really didn't think they do the victims justice. Sorry.
I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the tour cancellation with only 12 hours' notice. I planned my trip, including air travel, specifically to participate in this experience. Such a last-minute cancellation not only caused enormous inconvenience but also negated my efforts and travel expenses. I expect a professional tour operator to manage their bookings with greater responsibility and offer appropriate solutions in such situations. This experience has ruined part of my vacation, and I cannot recommend your services. We understand that tour operators always do this; they sell packages they don't have.
Wear shoes you can walk in comfortably for several miles over the course of the tour. Especially if your tour includes Birkenau. The tour itself brings it home. It’s a hit of reality that is shocking. It’s such a rude awakening to hear and see how much the Auschwitz prisoners actually suffered. It makes you realize how fortunate we all are to be alive today and hopefully no one will ever have to relive their tragedy. I highly recommend this tour to bring to light our history and how so many countries were impacted by one insane man. If you’re going to do any tour while visiting Krakow make it this tour. You won’t regret it.
Auschwitz is extremely well kept, well maintained, Entrance - no issues with entrance. We were straight in, assigned our tour guide, received our headsets. 1st camp - this is probably the most emotionally draining. However, we were rushed through it all. Convinced we missed some (wait. The tour guide said we would be skipping bits...). Couldn't keep up with the tour guide, Charles, and what he was talking about. What I'm really disappointed about was that we went down to the cells and he decided it was appropriate to try and bring in some humour about torturous ways. Whether it is his way or dealing with the emotions, we don't know. But we were quite disgraced by it. All of the things we wanted to stop and take in, we were just rushed through. Barely any stopping, just a walk by. When I say rushed, it's a quick glance at the death wall, quick look at the shoes/cases/prosthetics, cells, etc. But you'll spend more time looking at photos. That part of the tour came to an end. We were told to meet again at 1.10pm, others thought 1.20pm. Where were we meeting to go to the 2nd camp? What was the time? No one really knew. So we decided to get the shuttle bus and head to the 2nd camp. We never saw anyone from our group again other than 2 people who must've done the same as us - just went our own way. Camp 2 - we explored this camp on our own. And I'm glad we did as it looked like the tour groups weren't seeing as much as us. I've read reviews that people visited there and left within an hour. We saw so much way beyond the main area that it took us 3 hours to do just take camp. So, top tip, when you get to the huge memorial, follow the path to the right. There's so much more to see! More has chambers, more buildings and stories. We spent 2 hours at the first camp, 3 hours at the 2nd. 1 hour break for lunch. And we don't walk slowly! We're quite fit people. So definitely take walking shoes. Restaurant - grabbed a spinach and feta roll and some strawberries. Came to £12. So we didn't go back in - so expensive! Shop - nice selection of books in all languages. Picked one up that isn't sold in England too. Looking online, it seems hard to get hold of. Overall, it was an educational visit. Just a shame that the tour guide wanted to rush through everything at the 1st camp. So extremely grateful that no one knew what was going on so we went our own way.
A deeply moving and important place to visit. The guided tours are incredibly informative and respectful. Not an easy experience emotionally, but definitely one everyone should see at least once.
We have recently returned from a four night stay in Krakow. We prebooked transfers from / to the airport with MrShuttle and also booked on their Auschwitz / Birkenau excursions. They were always prompt with good clean vehicles and pleasant and polite drivers. Can't fault the service. The specifics of the Auschwitz excursion for those who might wish to go on it were as follows. We were picked up at 5:50 by a 27 seater minibus. On route we were shown a DVD about the liberation of Auschwitz, this was very graphic but set the scene for what was to follow. We arrived at Auschwitz around 7:20 with time for a toilet break before our guided tour started at 7:45. Finished around 9:45 with then a 10 minute drive to Birkenau. The tour there finished around 11:30 when we then had around 30 minutes for lunch before heading back to Krakow. The tour and tour guide were excellent and the tour itself was emotional at times as you would expect given where you were. Can highly recommend the tour and MrShuttle.
Easy pick up around the corner from my hotel. Very well organised & a great service! Would highly recommend Mr Shuttle.
Very somber and emotional visit, one everyone in a lifetime should do - no one should forget and we must learn especially in today's world
Well from start to finish it was perfect, arrived at the hotel bang on time, courteous driver greeted us with a smile and off we went. Great video with information about our up coming tour and then we arrived when it finished. We were greeted there by our guide Simon who was extremely informative and was a pleasure as a guide. The trip home was also straight forward, lovely clean and newish mini bus so we were so comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to book with these guys again and I highly recommend everyone to use this company for all your tours around krakow, trust me, you won't be disappointed x 10/10 xx
A very worthwhile trip and experience. The bus picked us up on time outside the hotel. En route to Auschwitz they put a documentary film on for us on Auschwitz. When we arrived we were directed where to go and met up with our guide. Trip took us to Auschwitz 1 and 2. Only issue was we didn’t have a chance to visit the gift shop in Auschwitz 1 and had to get straight back on the bus. Also, after Auschwitz 2 the driver said we had not booked tickets for the Salt Mine or arranged a lunch. We didn’t even know that was an option as we would have taken both. As a result we had to change buses on the way back to take us back to the hotel.
A very pleasant and easy pick up and journey to Auschwitz. Delivered with care and ample information. Highly recommended for a professional tour experience
Exceptional tour. Our guide Tomasz was so knowledgeable and explained every facet of the experience in a very interesting but personable way, linking stories to artefacts, experiences of personal relevance..
Excellent trip Well organised Very polite transfer staff Comfortable vehicle Excellent and informative guide Emotional
Done 2 tours with this company, absolutely fantastic from start to finish..our driver Michael was amazing, full of banter & great advice. Nothing was too much trouble, definitely an asset to the company...
Booked a last minute trip to krakow and the only way to visit Auschwitz was on an organised trip. Picked up on time outside our apartment, small group tour, great guid at Auschwitz very informative, then dropped back to the centre. Reasonably priced and good communication through out
We did 2 consecutive trips with Mr Shuttle Auschwitz/Birkeanu on Wednesday 28th January and then salt mines and Schindler's factory on Thursday 29th. Fantastic experience on both days, great communication the day before and on the day. I even left my book of Anne Frank on the bus and they kindly delivered it back to me on the next day. I would highly recommend these
Outstanding service from Mr Shuttle. We pre-booked a tour of Auschwitz/Birkenau with Mr Shuttle before we arrived in Krakow. Everything was confirmed and they sent text message the day before, to confirm out pickup time. On the day Mark, our driver arrived on time then picked up a few more passengers before heading off to Auschwitz. Mark briefed us on what we were going to do. He issued out lanyards and tickets and then introduced us to our tour guide. The tour was amazing if somewhat chilling to hear the history of the site. It was busy throughout but our guide kept us moving along. She was so passionate and knowledgeable of the history and sad tales of what had happened at this place.
Fantastic service from start to finish. Clear communication all the way. Michael arrived at exactly our pick up time of 5.50am. before people give out about pick up being early it is essential to see the sited in daylight. Highly recommend this tour as we had no waiting time our tour guide was amazing (I'm so sorry I forgot your name with the emotion of the tour) We learned so much and got a real understanding of what happened in the horror camps of Auschwitz. Book early, arrive at pick up time and stay with your group and you will not be disappointed. Thank you
95% of tour guide companies are scammers. Beware, I warned you. Don't trust them. You will have to wait in the snow or rain for 4-5 hours before getting in even with fast track ticket. Not to mention that you have to get up at 1am in the morning just to reach the destination from nearby Krakow
The trip organisation with mr shuttle was really good Good info. Driver was excellent. Really happy The camp trip itself is quite long. And are draining emotionally. Alot of walking.
We used Mr Shuttle to book our experience, it was easy to do and we had communication up until the night before. Our driver Martin was excellent, very friendly, gave us some history behind Poland and made sure everyone was comfortable. He explained what we had to do and ensured we were where we needed to be. Our tour guide was excellent. The tour was an eye opener and definitely something you have to experience. If I was to be really picky it would just the the times for a break we're a bit short but of course to fit it all in you have to be. Would highly recommend booking through Mr Shuttle.
Absolutely a must when in Poland , it’s very somber and humbling and a reminder of a lot of the bad things the human race is cape-able of , and the suffering and sacrifices many people experienced .. the tour is fantastic and wouldn’t go with anybody else other than mr shuttle . We were picked up by our driver at 05.50 at our hotel and driven to a bigger van to meet the rest of the people on the tour . Our driver Christian was extremely friendly and courteous. The journey took approximately 1hr 20 mins and there we met our tour guide Anna who was very very knowledgeable and informative . Then you get escorted to the second part of the tour which is birkenau camp . If you have any doubts about booking .. don’t … you won’t be disappointed!
This the 3rd time using Mr Shuttle for excursions and airport pickup! I have recomended to so many others too! They are so helpful the drivers are always willing to recommed things to do. The office staff explain everything you need and response time is fast! They are always there to help.
Mr Shuttle was excellent. Picked up on time. Very attentive. After the trip, he offered if we wanted to go to the salt mines, so we did and that driver was just as good.
Great experience booked a few days before travel great communication picked up on time from apartment and dropped back at apartment would definitely recommend lovely driver
Five star trip from start to finish. I was worried about the trip after hearing other people's horror trips with queuing and early pick ups. Frank lifted us at 7.40 bang on time in lovely clean 9 seater. After one more pickup we were on our way. Once there and parked we got handled lanyards then given our tickets with a 9.50 tour start. 5 mins later we were inside and ready to start. Our tour guide brought us around the camp and when it was finished we had 15 mins and we were on our way to the next camp. Once we were finished we were on our way home. Frank chatted and gave us history and other great information then he asked if we wanted dropped off somewhere other than our hotel. Really nice gesture. So all in all we enjoyed the day (as much as one can enjoy a concentration camp) and we will definitely recommend Mr Shuttle to any friends going to Krakow.
Great tour company, Michael was very knowledgeable and attentive and our guide around Auschwitz, Wanda was amazing, had a huge depth of knowledge, compassion and empathy. Would recommend anyone to book through Mr Shuttle, they were great, fantastic communication throughout.
After sometime we chose Mr. Shuttle for our tour. Thankfully after hearing some stories we definitely chose well. Great from start to finish kept us well informed and timings were spot on. Driver was really good and did everything for us from times tickets. If I could have given them 15 out of 10 i would. Everything from start to finish was very professional. Exceptional company.
Great! They were so accommodating and. Helpful. They emailed the pickup time the day before! My only critique would old be too much food for lunch. Sandwich and salad?!? One or the other or half a sandwich is plenty!
Mr Shuttle was very reliable, good communication and hardly any queueing when we arrived at Auschwitz. I would book with them again.
Mr Shuttle was very reliable, good communication and hardly any queueing when we arrived at Auschwitz. I would book with them again.
We used Mr Shuttle for all our trips and airport transfers during our stay in Krakow. They were always there on time, vehicles were clean and good quality. Drivers very friendly and informative.
Great experience with Mr Shuttle, picked us up at our hotel and dropped us back afterwards. Our driver Rafael was really helpful and professional and our guide Sofia was great too. Pick up time was an hour earlier than scheduled (6am) but we were informed 24 hours beforehand. Would definitely use Mr Shuttle again.
We used Mr shuttle for all our trips, Auschwitz, salt mines, Golf buggy tour, Zacoplane and the thermal baths. All trips the communication was excellent email and text for collection times the night before. Drivers always on time and really helpful and informative. Tickets all organised no queuing. Could not fault anything and would 100 percent recommend and use again.
The pick up from near where I was staying and drop off all worked seemlessly. The bus was comfortable. All good.
Very helpful and no delays. Good guide. Learnt a lot about the true history and facts. Very important that we never forget
I was texted my pick up time the afternoon before day of excursion. We were picked up promptly and provided with lunch and water bottles for later on in the day. The trip was informative as the driver read out information about Poland during the times it was occupied by the Nazis. The tour guide from Mr Shuttles english was absolutely perfect. Could answer all questions we had. He was friendly and made us all feel safe and secure. Bus on the way stopped at gas station for toilet and refreshment shop if needed. I will use this company again for any future excursions abroad as the level of professionalism was above par. Thanks again
I was kept well informed of my pick up time the day before, and got a reminder text an hour before. Our driver took us to Auschwitz then to Birkenau for the second part of the tour. I opted for the packed lunch which was great. Back at my hotel early afternoon. Definitely recommend Mr Shuttle.
