Pick up and drop off from the hotel was faultless. The driver, Vlad, was very friendly and looked after us really well. Nice journey there and back. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Excellent communication with the company who replied very quickly to any questions about the day. The only downside to the tour is that it is so busy with tourists. I've never been to a place so busy that it felt rushed and if the guide was at the front talking about a picture on the wall for instance, by the time you got to see the picture, he was already talking about picture/photo number 5 at the end of the room for example. The tour group was very big and people jostled to see. It was still a good day though abit rushed.

It's a good guided tour. My wife is very interested in the history of Auschwitz, so I planned for her. I bought 3.5 hours of two tickets from the official website. The arrangement is perfect. And the guide woman is expert of the tour and the history of the buildings and explained well about what was happening there. It was a very interesting and knowledgeable tour. After learning what happened there, I wish we could avoid the happening of the wars. Worth of time and money.
Everyone has to do this once. Harrowing and inspiring in one. Trip was very good with knowledgeable guide.
We were picked up from our hotel on time , small group of 8 people , Driver took us to the site then on to the next site , we had plenty of time and a guide on site . Smooth drive back to krakow .
Booked direct as we had read of many silly time changes and or cancellations by “tour companies”. We also booked the shuttle bus, from the Bus depot, which drops you off (and picks up) from right alongside the ticket entrance. There are hundreds of people but all very well managed in booked time slots. Each group has headsets with different channels so you can hear your guide without interruption from other guides. Excellent organisation. It’s an emotional/moving experience and it’s difficult to comprehend those events such a short time ago.
This was my second time visiting. This trip was with my partner as he had not been to Krakow before. Tomaz our guide was amazing.
What a absolute nightmare. Booked with these, for a “skip the line” 8 o’clock entry ticket, the night before we got a text to say the bus will be leaving to go to auschwitz at 1:45am, and to be there ready for 1:30am, I got in touch as I thought that must be an error, to be told they was unable to get any tickets so we had to go there to wait, we got picked up slightly after 1:30am, we was there around 10 to 3 in the morning… and told to go join the queue, even though our tickets were “skip the line”. So we joined the queue to then find out that it doesn’t open till 7:30, so we had to stand outside 3am till 7:30am , no access to a toilet, all cold, wet, we was in just after it opended & was then told we had to wait another 2 hours for a guide. By the Time we got in nobody wanted to carry on, we was all tired, all in pain from standing around for 5 and a half hours. Do not book!!!!! , get your tickets off the official auschwitz website & get the train
Tour was great. Driver was on time and very attentive. Be aware though that the time on Viator may differ from the time you’ll be picked up. Only after we were within the 24 hr cancellation they reached out saying the 9am tour was actually 1145am therefore we had to change our evening plans. Other than that, I’d recommend.
Amazing tour! Somber, but very necessary to see and remember. Really brings the history to life. Thank you!
Michal was wonderful! Punctual and comfortable transfer. We opted for the lunch and it was a feast! We were very well looked after!
The standard tour plus transportation. It's useful, of course, to avoid contending with getting tickets.
Very insightful tour. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job in talking through the past. It was a lot of walking but well worth the visit to pay respect. We were picked up on time, a very well organized trip. We got through the tickets and security area with ease and had hand held devices with headphones so that we could hear the guide throughout the tour.
Bit rushed couldn't see the things you wanted to see as was continually rushed along - lots of walking which was expected, guide was very grumpy. 2 hour wait to go in - despite purchasing tickets in advance. Worth a visit but the guide was a bit disappointing, seemed passionate, but was clock watching continually and a bit annoying. Really spoiled the day - seems its now very commercial and money making - not quite sure what is commercial about genocide or why it should be? Was expecting more - but the fact that you could get a MacDonalds or a Burger King jus down the road destroyed it for me. Tact -Absolutely none but worth visiting - I expected more, authenticity or caring - just didn't seem so.
Fantastic tour. Michel our driver was incredibly friendly. Picked up directly from our air B&B and dropped back again. The tour itself was well organised and informative. The tour guide provided a great level of information at both locations. Well worth booking
We enjoyed the Tour very much! The guides are great and have a lot of information to share with you. We highly recommend them! P.S. The sandwiches from lunch break that we received we’re really good :)
First of all, Michael was 10 minutes early picking us up, which we loved because we were already downstairs. He was super friendly and very informative. He even stopped at two places before the beginning of the tour to actually show us two important sites related to it. Despite the fact that Auschwics is an eerie place to see, it is very important to do so in person. To be a witness of this dark side of history. Thank you, Michael, and your colleague at the museum- Anna?
Great trip, very moving, our driver was lovely & our Tour guide was very informative & delivered the Tour of both sites in a very respectful way. We were kept well informed prior to the trip & the pick up & drop off were great locations (we selected hotel pick up). I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this Tour if your thinking of booking.
This was an excellent experience. Our driver picked us up exactly on time and was very knowledgeable and friendly. The guide spoke perfect English and took us to several sites at both Auschwitz and Birkenau. This cannot be an easy job to do every day, but she was polite and answered all questions while remaining upbeat. High recommend.
Auzwich was a very sad and moving place . The tour was worth the visit even though there was a lot of walking .but was woth the visit
Well looked after, very informative guide & would highly recommend. He accommodated any requests & was a pleasure to be with for the day.
If you are going to do Auchwitz, book with these guys. From start to finish so professional and so so easy. Tour guide was fantastic.
Pick up on time, driver good, friendly and helpful...guide Anna was very good, knowledgeable and helpful but we did feel quite rushed throughout the tour, which took the edge off for us. TIme to reflect, read the displayed information and absorb the enormity of what happened would have been appreciated. We also queued for approx 25 mins, tkt time 8.30, 9am when we went in. Security checks need to be advised to customers as we were not prepared for it....
Very well organised and we were kept informed regarding pick up. Driver was on time and friendly. Our tour guide was very informative, knowledgeable and respectful. Anyone visiting krakow should book this trip.
We booked with Krakow direct and the trip was well organised with English speaking guide. Both my wife and I have been reading about the holocaust since our formative years and this was in our bucket list... but seeing with your own eyes it was like whatever we read about was coming alive... it's an indescribable experience...its not a touristy thing to do and it's not meant for all... most important, respect those who endured the sufferings and passed away...so, refrain from taking smiling selfies and posing for photos... you can take photos of most of the places otherwise...
The overall experience was very good. The tour was very well organised, arrangements were clearly communicated and the tour guide for both tours was exceptional which made the trip very memorable.
This is a tour well worth doing. It is very well organised. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel and our driver was great. The tour guide Kasia at the museum was very well informed and struck the right level of respect for the location. Makes you think!
the trip was cancelled 10 days before we left but it was all hidden in the viator web page and I was getting mixed messages - such as your trip is happening soon etc. The people who cancelled it should have just given me a direct message to my email address not through viator website. We tried to get on another trip and that was cancelled an hour before we were due to leave. I am expecting a full refund!!!
Everything was good, from the pick up to the drop off. our tour guides were great. The tour was very informative , shocking to see how the prisoners were treated. There was a lot of walking so be aware of that if you have mobility issues. We ordered a packed lunch with our guide and it was a lovely lunch, worth the money, the only downside was that there wasn’t enough time between the tours to eat it. Over all great
An incredibly important experience, made smooth and easy by our driver and tour guide. Highly recommended
You cancelled less than 24 hours before we were due to go - awful and very stressful as the trip was the main reason we came to Krakow
Absolutely seamless pickup and drop off! Michal explained EVERYTHING perfectly which meant we knew where to be, when and what would happen. Tour was excellent. You 'could' DIY it with the train but a tour is worth every penny to remove the hassle!
The driver & tour guide were amazing! They did the impossible by bringing to life the immense horror, suffering, evil & extreme sorrow of the darkest history - the Holocaust. Im a 3rd grneration As a 3rd generation American Jew of polish descent. I needed to bear witness to this horrific genicide.
Tour guide was excellent! Very well organized. This place must be remembered! Great full to people to help to keep history alive
I was recommend this company by a family member and booked a trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the salt mine online via get my guide. The staff were very friendly and informative and the transport was clean. The company will ring you the afternoon before your visit to tell you what time to arrive, as the times often differ to what is stated on the booking. Also, you need to make sure if you are going to Auschwitz-Birkenau that you take your passport with you to enter the museum. You’re not allowed to take metal items in with you, eat food whilst walking around both Auschwitz and Birkenau, or smoke/vape. If it is hot, I would highly recommend taking sun cream and a hat as a lot of it is outside (especially Birkenau) and there is not a lot of shade. You are allowed to eat and drink on the transport with the exception of hot beverages/food and ice cream.
We booked this tour well in advance of our trip to Poland as we knew it would be popular. Original pickup time was supposed to be around 10am from our hotel but we received an email 5 days before the tour saying the museum had provided a later slot and therefore the pickup was delayed to 13.05pm. Then 2 days before the tour we received another email asking if we could meet at a pick-up point 600m away instead of from the hotel as originally planned. The package that we booked said it included a 500ml bottle of water but when I asked about it we were told there wasn't any and that we could buy some at Auschwitz if we wanted. Very disappointing in the 29 degree heat. Our coach guide, Emily, had only been with the company a week or so but she was really lovely. At Auschwitz I did find the English speaking guide a little hard to understand but you could tell he loved what he did and he seemed very knowledgeable from the bits I did get. Despite the early disappointments, it was a fascinating visit but an emotional one too.
Excellent tour guide when we got to Auschwitz. Not happy being crowded in a taxi for the ride to and from Auschwitz. The description states there will be wifi, no wifi in taxi, no water in taxi. Had I known that I would be taken to Auschwitz I would have never booked
Excellent tour guide, really informative, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for being a great guide and making us feel safe and comfortable
The entire experience was sad and unforgettable. But what made the entire experience most enjoyable was our tour guide. She had great knowledge of the subject but most importantly was the passion of which she told the story. We went in the 1:pm tour. Forget tour guides name but she was AMAZING-
I was really disappointed with how rushed the tour was, the group was too big and I was barely given 5 seconds to look at anything before being hurried along. It was difficult to take anything in or have appropriate time to reflect on the enormity and gravity of the crimes that took place at Auschwitz- Birkenau. I would not recommend this tour.
Our tour was moved much earlier and they didn’t inform us of the time change so we ended up missing the tour. I had to spend all day trying to get a refund.
The tour was very rushed, very little time to take in the atmosphere. Still a fascinating place and well worth a visit but once is enough. The tour organisation before and after was spot on!
Driver and Guide, were brilliant and it was so well organised . Very impressed. Couldnt fault it great experience from start to finish
Honestly, don’t like to visit such places, but this tour was amazing. The guide was involved, very informative and even for kids enjoyed the tour. Couple hours walking, the place is very popular. Recommend visiting
Great door to door service. Our guide was fabulous. Be ready to do a lot of walking. Each destination was unique. Birkenau was huge. The most walking. It was a sobering experience on how horrible people can be. A must see to remember what had happened in the past.
Well organised. The guy who picked us up was lovely, helpful and took care of us the whole day. The tour guide was amazing. She was knowledgeable, easy to listen to, took care of us and was very respectful and professional. It was well worth the visit and the money. It isn't what you would call a tourist attraction but something everyone should visit and learn from. Very well done to all involved.
Negative- change in the start time of the tour to afternoon. Positive- tour guide Michal, very personable and knowledgeable. Camp tour guide Andrew very appropriate delivery given the setting
The transport was well organized, everything went in schedule, the memorial was everything as expected, the guides were professional and pleasant.
An understandably harrowing trip, to be treated with great respect. Such an interesting piece of history that should never have happened but should never be forgotten.
Fantastic organisation and communication from booking to conclusion of tour, Fantastic experience, book the packed lunch when asked a few days before.
Our guide Michal was very good and ensure that we went in very quickly and smoothly to the Auschwitz and Birkenau and also ensure that we had enough time to take a quick bite for lunch. He even sent us back to our apartment after the visit.
