It was really informative and our tour guide, Kamil, was amazing! He was able to explain all scenarios in detail, be ready for a whole load of different emotions!

Early start to the day. Comfortable coach ride to Auschwitz. English tour guide was excellent, very informative. However would like tour operator to be more aware that communication can be clearer and to wait for large group to be assembled before giving instructions. We were stuck on back of coach and by the time we got off, instructions were given and group was ready to leave. Breaks were only 10 min long between different sections, so popping to rest rooms or quick visit to book store was not always possible!
It was a lot of walking but ok for me. It felt a bit rushed I enjoyed the trip, informative and the guide was friendly and helpful. I booked with this company when the regular tours were saying they were full and not taking any more booking for a particular day
Very informative in depth tour, the guide was brilliant. A must see, vital history that should be remembered and the victims respected
The tour is a long day with 3hour round trip from Krakow, but very harrowing at the same time rewarding. The day can be long but ensure you pick your trip provider well, as we heard of some very poorly organised, early starting trips or worse no tickets available upon arrival. The experience with Viator was well organised, very little waiting at Auschwitz with an acceptable 10.30am pick up, dropping at 6.30pm . Tour was well organised in smallish groups and gave details of the history of Auschwitz and Birkenau from its concept to the liberation by soviet soldiers in 1945. Many of the stories were harrowing, and I came away with more knowledge on the purposes and uses of concentration camps. We had 3 hour tour of the 2 sites, but there was still a lot more to see at Auschwitz. The tour involves a lot of walking, often on uneven ground with flights of stairs in Auschwitz
Krakville tours sorted our tour out where other tour operators gave us different stories about getting tickets . we travelled in 9 people hybrid people carrier which liked more than going on a coach. All went to plan would recommend. Apparently you need to book Auschwitz tickets 2 weeks in advance.
Just completed the Auschwitz tour. Conrad our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The tour was just at the right pace and Conrad's presenting style was excellent.
Guide was informative and the camp was emotional and well informed museum. The tour itself seemed rushed, this may be sued to a late departure due to individuals not arriving at the meeting/pickup point prior to the set departure time. 3 couples were 15 mins late and the tour bus turned around to pick them up. This caused our entrance to the camp to be 20 mins later than planned, and breaks were rushed. In my experience from other tours, if you’re late you’re left. Many tours really emphasize being on time. The booking confirmation prior to strictly state being on time, and the guide emphasizes it throughout the tour. This tour would benefit from stricter similar guidelines
Companies like this one should not be allowed to post their business here- open for booking, only to tell you at the very last minute that there is no guarantee that you could actually go, so you not only lost your money, buy also the chance to salvage your limited vacation time for meaningful activities. This company / business should be banned here.
Piotr is a great host. The tour was educational and un-rushed. Harrowing and horrific - how those who survived, survived is incredible.
Driver was interesting and friendly. Late pickup due to tardiness of other participant. Tour leader at Auschwitz-Birkeneu was exceptional.
They should visit this place. It was a great experience. The communication with the organisers was excellent. Thank you!
Communication was good, a phone call and message confirming collection time. We had seen some trips to the camps leaving at 4am due to ticket issues, however we set off at 11:30am. The coach was new, the staff were very good. The guide at the camp was superb. Sad to say a must see for everyone!
Experienced guide quick and easy pick up and return it's long though be prepared to get your steps in and note the camps are nearly 1 hour 45 minutes outside krackow
Don't book with this tour company. Day before we were due to do the tour they contacted us and changed pick up time to 4.30am in morning which was unacceptable and we ended up missing out on doing this tour. Very disappointing company to deal with
Very early start due to limited tickets - national holiday weekend in Poland resulting in lower numbers of guides at an incredibly busy museum. However this was made clear and the company did everything neccessary to get us on the tour. One downside was missing the visuels in the 10min Auschwitz cinema introduction but that was not the fault of the tour company
David our driver for this trip was brilliant from start to end. We had a very early pick up but this was to enable us to get one of the first tours of the day! David explained everything to us and was very informative always checking in on everyone! He was so welcoming and friendly throughout the full trip, even took us to the shop for a coffee while some of us stayed to queue. He made sure we got in to the tour and knew exactly what to do and was waiting for us upon return from birkenau. For being young and new to the company he was an absolute credit to himself and would recommend him as a driver for this tour every time! When travelling home he drove to a few other important sites linked to aushwitz to see which was brilliant and pointed out different sights on the way home with brilliant knowledge. Even down to book suggestions in the museum bookshop he was an amazing support for the day.
The person who picked us up and showed us was amazing. The actual guide for the experience was also amazing. The biggest issue was the fact that the tickets weren't aviable before hand which meant we had to be picked up at 4am and wait in a line at the destination untill 7:30 am with no guarantee of getting tickets to get in. This part I felt wasn't mentioned when the experience was booked and really unfair to not mention that. Again the lady Marta was incredible and I would highly recommend her, she was very honest and up front, I just wish the actual operator who I booked the experience with was the same
Terrible Experience – Avoid Krakville Tours I’ve never been so disappointed with a tour company. I booked an Auschwitz tour with a confirmed 10am pick-up, only to receive a last-minute message changing it to 4am. That’s a SIX-hour change, with zero explanation or apology. The communication was chaotic and unprofessional — I had to chase them for answers and got nothing but vague responses. This change has completely threw off my entire trip and put a huge damper on what was supposed to an amazing experience. Do yourself a favour and book with a company that respects your time and treats its customers properly.
Tour operator cancelled on the morning of tour whilst walking to pick up point. They accidentally gave us the wrong information twice the night before. They did apologise but we had to get an Uber then queue for 90 minutes with my 76 year old dad and then missed the Birkeneau camp as a result because he was too tired after the 90 minute queue and auschwitz tour.
Take good walking boots warm clothes and some food and drink, very good guide we had, and the journey is not to far away
Amazing! The trip was deeply moving and very interesting. So glad we did it The tour guides, driver and team were amazing. The driver went above and beyond and was so lovely. Thank you. Highly recommend
We found out the day before thar we hadn't actually got any tickets. The tour operator did offer us a refund.... or we could get picked up at 4.50 am to cue. So we decided to do that. We got picked up on time in a a old van that clearly had suspension issues. Our driver was nice enough and kept us well informed when we got there. It's about an hour and 15 from Krakow so you are waiting for the museum to open at 7.30. The museum itself it well run and our tour guide was fantadtic. Very passionate and informative. This day will stay with me forever, it is so haunting amd humbling to see the camps.
We managed to book via a third party but landed up with krakville tours . Very poor . No communication . Late atvpick up despite driver sitting there for 10 minutes . No idea of his name as no Introduction . A nameless girl appeared and called our name gave us a sticker and tickets . No I formation at all. 1.5 hours later we arrived . No breaks . No chat . Nothing other than bad 80s music on the radio . Auschwitz itself we had 5 minutes to go to a toilet . Then through security and Anna the guide from the museum was excellent. She had a great tone and knowledge of the events . She absolutley made the tour despite how harrowing the location. Both sites are very well done and really give you an insight into the conditions and scale of the events that happened. No toilet or comfort breaks . Ushered back tk the bus and thrown around ad the driver went at pace . Still no name . A stop at a petrol station somewhere . And 'toilet ' was the only words uttered . Before being dropped . Auschwitz is an absolute must visist but I'd avoid this particular company. Simply has to be better out there
It is just the transport and they charge a lot for it, they bring you in and tell you where to go, but you just go with the standard guided tours and still have to wait for long times. The drivers weren't very communicative. So most of the price goes towards transportation and i guess you could find better ways to that.. Also we left at 7am not 10am. The museum itself is worth the visit.
We booked this at fairly short notice as our hotel had no availability left. Our tour was organised for the following morning, the time would only be confirmed after we'd paid. I can't understand why we had to be.there for 8:30 when the tour was scheduled for 11:00. Such a waste of a morning, we had to skip breakfast at the hotel ( which we'd already paid for) and buy food at the restaurant. The mini bus we were shuttled to the location in was fairly cramped considering it was an hour and a half drive. The tour itself was taken by a museum member of staff and not by the tour company. It was very informative although there was a lot of walking involved which was expected however some members of our group had to sit out some of the tour.
Before The Tour should be mentally and emotionally disturbing episodes of history God protect us and for it not to happen again.
The pickup point was easy to find. The van was clean, and the driver was nice. The guide at Auschwitz was very good. The driver asked about lunches, and after receiving a count, he obtained a nice lunch bag containing a sandwich, fruit, water and a snack (10 euro extra). He was waiting when the tour was over. I would use this particular tour again.
Booked and they cancelled it due to them not being able to secure tickets. Absolutely ruined me and my partners holiday as we wanted to go see Auschwitz and when they cancelled it it was too late to book another one as they were all sold out. They should have complete guarantee that tickets to Auschwitz are secured. Horrible would definitely not recommend
Going to Auschwitz Birkenau was never going to be a pleasant experience but it is a necessary pilgrimage to keep alive the memories of those poor souls who were exterminated there. Krakville Tours organised our trip at the last minute and we were fortunate to have ‘Jack’ as our guide. His knowledge of the two camps was extensive and we were shown the brutality of human beings at their worst. He was clearly passionate about his job so he focused on the human element as well as the facts. We left there with a better understanding of the horrifying events that took place there before and during the Second World War. His narrative, combined with what we saw, ensured a tour of mixed emotions. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of going to the two camps to defy the deniers and try to ensure that nothing like it happens again. If you get ‘Jack’ as your guide through Krakville Tours you will have a passionate and knowledgeable person to steer you through this emotional experience.
The tour was excellent, very well run and organised and well worth the cost. Our tour guide, Jack, was brilliant, very knowledgeable, helpful, spoke with much passion and kept all on the tour captivated from the start to finish. We would highly recommend this tour and tour guide.
We booked our tour the day before and lady from Krakville then phoned later to confirm exact time of pick up from their office. It was an extremely hot day but thankfully there was good air conditioning in our bus. Had some time on arrival to use toilets and have a snack - we took our own but there are vending machines available. The bus driver communicated well and directed us to our tour guide and we were given headsets to listen to her whilst going round. She sometimes spoke a little bit fast but she was very aware that at times we were standing in extreme heat. We had a thorough tour of Auschwitz and then returned to our bus for the short drive to Birkenau. Our driver dropped us off and gave clear instructions where to meet her after the tour. We met our guide and did the walking tour with her stopping at various points to give us information on what we were seeing. She then left us and we made our way back to the bus, there are also toilets available at this location. We felt this tour was good value for money, the drivers were pleasant and helpful (there were bottles of water on bus too) and the Tour Guide gave extensive information on the vast tragedies that took place on these sites. On our return to Krakow we booked the Salt Mines Tour with the same Company.
It seemed to have been well organized until the day of the actual tour. When we made it to the meeting point, which was the tour office, we were informed that there was an email sent to us the night before telling us that the tour was starting an hour later. We never got that email, I checked. Then, they had no idea what tour we belonged on as there were apparently several scheduled for that hour, even though we had our tickets printed out with a confirmation number, etc. We were told to call some place from our phones with no international plan to sort it out. We did and that's how we found out what tour we were scheduled for. The tour itself was very informative, no hick ups there, although there was no break for food, however it had to be cut short due to the heat that day. We saw most of what we were intending on seeing.
We booked our tour for Auschwitz via Krakville Tours and paid for it via paypal before we arrived in Poland, and we were sent all the details before hand so we knew what to expect from the trip. The meeting point was easy to find and we went on a coach with lots of other visitors. The guide was great at sharing info along the journey and pointing out landmarks and giving background info to Auschwitz. He guided us around Auschwitz too with incredible details to bring to live the horrors that happened there. The whole experience ran very smoothly. Would recommend using Krakville for tours. Kind and friendly people who are happy to help.
Very good value for money. I was a little bit worried because I am 70 and the itinerary of the day and it did look a bit confusion but I should not have worried as I was informed and directed all the way. The guide was passionate about his profession and did not looked bored about doing the same thing day after day. A very life changing experience. I would highly recommend this company. The only thing I would advise that it is a long day with lots of walking so be prepared.
The tour was great. The commute on the coach was comfortable and easy pick up. The tour guides were super organised and efficient and the guide (Anna) at Auschwitz and Birkenau was very knowledgable, empathetic and efficient too. A really thought provoking day, would definitely recommend Krakville tours!
Lovely staff, very helpful. We originally booked one time but the company had to rearrange (no issues at all) - we were called within a couple of hours of booking to check if the time was ok with us. The guide at Auschwitz was very knowledgeable, and was happy to answer questions.
Great company that helped us very good after we had a bad experience with another company to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau. They have putted a lot of energy in our reservation and made sure that everything was arranged properly. A lot of respect for these people. Thank you once again!
Very good and on time tour. The bus had low leg room but the 3 hour round jurney was ok. We experienced a very cold weather with some wind and snow. Auschwitz is a place to see in a life time, for sure. It can't be explained what you feel around there. The guide was good, he answered all the questions from the group. The visit was about 2.30 - 3 hours long.
The guide was nice and clear, but the visit was badly organized. When the payment was processed nobody has been clear on the day's schedule and we were not given the time to have lunch. Plus, the visit to Birkenau was very rough.
Amazing experience, I really recommend to visit Auschwitz with Krakville tours! They picked me and my friend up at the time, then when we arrive at the place we were introduced to the guide who was really nice person and explained everything very clear.. after we went to birkenau again with same driver and guide. Really worth the tour! Thank you 😊
It's difficult to rate something like Auschwitz as it's not a tourist attraction in the traditional sense, it's a preservation of something terrible and a reminder of one of the darkest times in our recent history. Some might have reservations about visiting such a sad place whilst on a holiday, but Auschwitz/Birkenau is an absolute must-visit whilst in Krakow, and while I could never truly do justice to the poignant, haunting nature of Auschwitz by giving it something as arbitrary as a star rating, I can at least review the tour via Krakville Tours. We booked online in advance with Krakville for approximately £45 per person, which included of course entrance to Auschwitz and Birkenau, travel to and from both sites and a personal tour guide for our group. The tour lasted around 7 hours in total which includes 90+ minute tours of each camp, travel, and comfort breaks. Due to Covid-19 measures it did take a while to enter Auschwitz initially but once inside everything ran smoothly. We were also advised ahead of the tour to bring food and something to drink but there were cafes at both camps (as bizarre as that feels). The tour left from Sienna 17 at 10am, which is an easy central location to get to and a decent time to make a day of it. Our driver Chris/Krzys was really friendly and kept us all on track, and our allocated guide within the camps was Mirok. Mirok was a phenomenal guide and he really made the tour for me. He was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the various parts of camps and particularly in Birkenau when talking about the legacy of the place he was able to add a sense of passion and gravitas that moved many of us in the tour to shed a tear. To that last point, while our guide was amazing, because it was a guided tour it moved along very quickly (as there is so much to see). As such, it's hard to take everything in. However, it's something to consider - either visit independently with more time to explore but miss out on that knowledge and insight, or have a professional tour which provides everything you could want to know but it's more of an on-rails tour. For me though, I'm glad we chose the latter.
Hard to call this an attraction but its a must see from a moment from modern history. It must have been hell for those poor souls. We booked with Krakville just behind the main square as it was a lot cheaper than the hotel, and did not leave until 11 am. The coach trip was good and the camp guide was very informative. The place was very busy on arrival and sad to say could be termed a bit of a circus. Most people however walked round in silence out of respect for the victims. If I went again I would go round at my own place as a place this size needs time to absorb.
We came across the sienna 17 office by chance and decided to book the trip for the next day we arrived early as advised and were greeted by our guide (Karina I think ) spoke perfect English and was very well organised on all aspects of the trip making sure everything ran smoothly for us if your looking to book any trips I would highly recommend this company
We paid around £35 per person for a 7 hour tour which included personal guide, coach & entry to Auschwitz & Birkenau. Worth every penny. The guide were great & spoke fantastic English!
Some people may think it's a bit morbid to visit somewhere millions of innocent people died, somewhere atrocities occured, but if we don't learn about these things we will forget what happened and it may happen again. This tour took us around Auschwitz first and then birkenau and the sheer scale of these places is amazing. We learned alot about what went on here and about the people. The trip lasted between 10am and 5pm. We were picked up at our meeting point on time and had an hour inbetween both camps to grab some lunch. The guide was very knowledgeable and very honest with her information. We were lucky enough to walk into one of the krakville offices on a Wednesday afternoon near the square and book for the following morning. The price was good (around 35 pounds each). I recommend this trip and this tour company to anyone visiting krakow
The tour in our view was good and informative if a little rushed. The guide was very knowledgeable and full of answers for questions raised. The downside was our tour driver who seemed very rude and ignorant and seemed more interested in his phone then the wishes of party. Visiting Birkenau seemed an after thought after being told and shown so much about Auschwitz as we were quickly walked through the middle of the camp without having to many things explained to us or shown what in our mind was important. Once the tour was complete we were ushered to our bus to be met by the same driver who even made a fuss of having us on the bus before he had finished using his phone. We felt we didn't have a chance to use the facilities or even purchase a lasting memento from what is the most barbaric place on earth.
I found Krakville Tours on internet. I wrote and e-mail on a sunday and got a quick reply in about a hour. After that I contuined to ask questions and again I always had quick replies. They were so helpful and kind. When my husband and I took the tour, everyting was perfect. The driver was so nice and our guide was perfect! He didn't just explained, he also made us have perspectives. Just one thing I have to add; when we paid for the tour on internet, they gave us a guide book before we take the tour. Guide book was so helpful; but it was written that we had to bring our lunches. Si we did. But then we learned that we were not allowed to eat in there and also there was some shops for take away... That's all, we definetely recommend this tour!
The Auschwitz tour was a most interesting and enlightening experience. This can be a difficult topic but the company and guides did a tremendous job. I recommend this tour and this company. This experience tries to explain the horror of Auschwitz. The guide was accompanied by a senior guide so we actually had two guides at Auschwitz. She was very truthful about many touchy subjects but told as she saw it as a Proud Polish citizen. There are many fascinating aspects to the tour. You see the room where the Nazis wanted St Maximillian Kolbe to die of hunger You see where Rudoph Hess, after convicted of his war crimes, was hung facing Aushwitz, making it the last thing he saw in this world. You see where the new inmates, (men, women, and children) disembarked the train and Nazis decided if they were given a chance at life. There were a lot of tourists there and more often than not you would come into a building when another group was leaving and another tour group was right behind you when you left. I really didn't feel rushed at all during the tour, though. The bus ride to Oswiecim, the tour, and the ride back to Krakow went according to schedule. The company was very good at giving you a timetable for what was next and what we could expect. A couple of things to consider. There is a lot of walking. The guide says 4 km. I think it was a bit more. Be prepared for this. When you first enter Auschwitz, you have to clear security. These guys are like the TSA on a bad day. You need to remove your belt, shoes, loose change. This was the low point for me in the tour. I had to be wanded a few times. Not the tour's fault. I wish I would have known about this in advance. There are alot of places where photos are not allowed. Our guide was very good at informing us of this. No Selfies. This is a long tour. Bring some food or drinks for after the tour. I was able to keep a few soft drinks in the bus.
Having originally planned to go to Auschwitz and Birkenau under our own steam, we were advised to take a tour as they couldn't guarantee tickets at the gates, even in September. We passed this company's office, checked on TA and decided to use them. At 149 zloty pp this was more than we planned to spend but having been we realised this was a reasonable price. We were collected outside the office at 6.30 by a clean and comfortable minibus. I would recommend taking food and drink with you as on arrival there is a short break for the toilets but on exiting we had a really horrible, expensive cup of coffee. The tour gives you quick access through security and Ryszard, our guide, was excellent. He pitched the information and respect at just the right level of solemnity. I learnt a lot from a Polish perspective, as history covers the Jewish atrocities but little is known of the other peoples who suffered here at the hands of the Germans. I would suggest that anyone with mobility issues might struggle as the ground is uneven and there are quite a few stairs. The minibus then takes you on to Birkenhau which involves a lot more walking than Auschwitz. Very moving and I would highly recommend this company.
