Thai Charm Cooking is the cooking school for Thai dishes. It is located outskirts of Krabi downtown. At your first moment in Thai Charm Cooking, you will be suggested about Thai menus which are Thai traditional foods. These dishes are unique and have a long history. The chef here will be a friendly teacher with his/her cooking expertise and introduce all ingredients and seasonings that make each dish special and good taste. You can select up to 7 dishes for learning from more than 15 provided Thai menus. In addition, two dessert menus which are mango with sweet sticky rice and banana with coconut milk sauce are taught. The class will be ended by tasting the special dishes from yourself. You will get a recipe book and certificate after you finish the course, and also can take away your dishes with you. You will graduate from the course with a new cooking skill. This will impress your friends and family a lot.
AMAZING!!!!! Best food we had in Southeastern Asia traveling for a month. We ate until we were sick and she walked us through every step with photos afterwards so we can recreate this at home. MUST DO!!
It was an amazing experience. Charm Cooking School did a wonderful job welcoming us into their space, explaining us what ingredients and how to use them, walked us throughout the entire cooking process to make our chosen dishes and had dinner at the end of the class. They also provided a cook book at the end and Penny said we can text her with questions anytime! I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to learn authentic Thai meals!
It was a very good experience; Penny was very professional, dynamic, and pleasant while teaching Thai cooking recipes. The recipes we chose according to Penny's instructions turned out delicious, since in the end we ate what we prepared.
What a fantastic experience. I am a terrible cook but with Pennys guidance I managed to produce 5 good dishes (although I say that myself!). The venue is lovely and tucked away inland giving a very personal feel. Penny was great and managed the group of 12 people very well. The other staff onsite were very welcoming and helpful. If you want to gain a glimpse of what Thai cooking has to offer then this is a must.
Penny’s cooking class was such a joy! We shared plenty of laughs, learned new skills, and left with full stomachs and happy hearts. Her warmth, humor, and passion for food made the whole experience unforgettable. Definitely recommend!
Avoid this place at all costs. We booked this for the 5th of November . We received a booking confirming with a pickup time st our hotel. We waited for over an hour in our hotel for the pickup, which didn’t arrive. When our hotel eventually contacted them one person said they were over booked and another person said they had a problem with water. Our booking references was GYGX7NR3HH8Z just in case they say they have no booking !! Very disappointing and unprofessional. Now we are having difficulty getting our moey back. Avoid there is better out there. FYI this was booked through the GetYourGuide app who also offered little to no support.
Super easy Thai Class! Don’t need much skills. Awesome food and nice environment. Need to improve the restrooms…. Penny is super nice but she speaks really fast, so if English is not your first language, you need to focus!
Great learning experience with a friendly professional and chief. A super mix of learning while enjoying every minute. The place was spotless and extremely well organised. I would recommend this trip whether you’re on your own a couple friends or group.
Penny was a fabulous host and teacher. Relaxed lesson with plenty of laughter. Must say this has been my best meal in Thailand and I cooked it 😁 Definitely recommend.

What an amazing few hours!!! Learnt to cook several Thai dishes (and eat them) with the amazing Penny! This lady didn’t stop smiling and clearly has a huge love for what she does which she passes on to those there to learn! Everything rubs like clockwork, ingredients are fresh, cookware super clean - such a good experience we may just do it again in a few days, honestly could not recommend more highly!
We stumbled across this place as we had a very long layover between the pier and our flight to Chiang Mai. We were incredibly fortunate to be the only couple here so we had the entire kitchen to ourselves. The cook (Penny) is lovely. Speaks very good English. And also teaches you history and knowledge on why things our done in certain ways. Our food we made was delicious and she’ll share your photos and a cook book via WhatsApp. Strongly advise you to arrive hungry as you’ll cook 5 dishes between 2 and 2 desserts.

What can I say. Penny made this one of our favorite things we’ve done during our 16 day trip to Thailand. Penny is a beautiful person, fun, charming, and oh so knowledgeable. What a fabulous time with Penny. This remarkably amicable effervescent woman met us with a huge smile and the joy didn’t stop. We made four dishes with Penny’s expert eye checking what we were doing every step of the way. The kitchen is airy and large, so plenty of space. Four of us, but she can easily accommodate 12-14. A gift cook book and certificate at the end. We had a super experience and wish Penny and her family every success. We all had a great time and would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to Krabi.
The most memorable part of the cooking class was the chef Pem amazing person I wish her all the best in her career the class was very valuable and 100% worth it to do defenetly recommend to anyone.
Penny and her family made us feel like we were in our own kitchen, always attending if we were struggling and made us laugh so much along the way! This tight knit operation was the best experience we could have asked for in our Thai cooking journey! She was also extremely knowledgeable and as we are vegan she knew all the best ingredients to replace so we got the real taste of Thailand! Penny explains the basics of Thai cuisine in a fun, but very clear way. She explains how to cut and prepare all the ingredients, substitutions, and how to cook a ton of dishes in an incredibly fast and organized way. The workstations are clean, and while you’re listening to the explanations, the rest of Penny’s team are organizing your ingredients so that there’s no messy kitchen at the end. Thank you Penny for the wonderful experience!!!
Penny was so sweet, bubbly, and energetic. Full of jokes and quips. She takes you through the process from scratch to finished product, educating you on all the different ingredients along the way. We were able to make four different dishes (including two desserts), which was great to get a more rounded food experience. And loved getting to take home the recipes for 14 total dishes! Just one piece of advice, the class and instruction takes a bit of time, so don’t come too hungry. And you make a ton of food but can take whatever you don’t eat back with you.

What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon with the children, 17 & 19, we all loved it. Penny was a fantastic host and a wonderful teacher. English and explanations were great. Forgot to mention food was amazing too! We all left with Big smiles and full tummies.
Great food, fresh ingredients, most adorable chef. We came here with our family of 6 for the afternoon lunch session. Penny and her crew made everything seems so easy, and the food was amazing! Everything is fresh and clean. We made 7 types of dishes (including salads and desserts). We couldn't finish it all and took some boxes home, yummy :-) Penny explains everything with grace and patient, she give you the background and the small tips only locals knows. If I would have stayed more in Krabi, I would come again next week. For sure will come next time we're in town...

Penny was just the most bubbly, charming host. The experience exceeded all our expectations! They picked us up in a car in a spot convenient to our hotel. We each made 5 dishes and then we sat down with a beer and ate them before making 2 puddings. It is in a fantastic rural setting - everything was well thought out from the beginning to the end and we laughed and laughed. It was wonderful. Our 12 and 10 year old loved it too. Thanks penny!
I spent a lovely afternoon cooking with Penny. The class organization was outstanding making it easy to understand and follow instructions. We learned some interesting facts and tricks about the Thai cuisine. The cooking process was smooth and the food turned out delicious! I also enjoyed the setting of the school in a quite part of town. However, the biggest highlight of the experience was chef Penny. She created a very pleasant, easy going atmosphere, made sure everyone was taken care of. Penny’s sense of humor and lovely disposition made this one of the most memorable experiences in Thailand. Today experience of Thai cooking class was AMAZING. If you are looking for a thai recipes with a great atmosphere this cooking class is the best choice. Penny is an amazing teacher with a great sense of humour, she is helpful and very sweet. We cooked 4 dishes and 2 desserts. I don’t have a lot of experience in cooking but Penny makes it look easy and fun. Easy, fun and yummy. Thank you soooo much Penny.
We had a great time cooking with Penny! She was super sweet and taught us a lot about Thai cuisine. We each cooked 3 different foods witch you can choose yourself and 2 desserts. All food was super yummy!! After finishing we got a certification and a recipe book. Definitely something to do when in Krabi!

Going for a morning cooking class might sound crazy but it was the best breakfast experience if my trip! We cooked so many delicious dishes and each dish and its ingredients was explained to us. Highly recommend this experience

Penny is an excellent teacher, warm, funny, informative and adaptable. In our group of 2 we had one veggie and one carnivore, one experienced cook the other beginner - no problem, Penny adapted the recipes to keep us going at the same time and within our dietary restrictions. Class includes pick up and drop off from your hotel, but we were going straight to the airport after - no problem, Penny took care of that too. She LOVES cooking and talking food, has a fantastic outdoor cooking space and is super fun to be around. One of my favorite experiences in Thailand.

This cooking class was one of our best experiences so far in Thailand! We had the chance to cook some of our favourite Thai dishes and also some dishes we never would have tried and are now new favourites! Penny was a fantastic teacher! She made us laugh and smile from the moment we arrived. We have very little cooking experience but Penny was able to show us exactly what to and how easy it can actually be to cook thai food 😊 we received a fantastic recipe book and certificate after completing the class which we’re delighted with! I would highly recommend attending this cooking class when visiting Krabi, it’s a must ❤️ Thanks again Penny 🙏
This was a fantastic activity that was our highlight of the weekend. The Siam Cuisine Thai chef was fabulous. I forgot her name (Jain…M.). But she was so enthusiastic and full of energy..she made our class very enjoyable. The ingredients were very fresh and were already to go. I learned so much. The food was excellent- be sure to go on an empty stomach because there were at least 6 courses to eat. To top it off we came home with a recipe book. I made a dish last night at home. It’s hard to find the fresh produce in my remote home town!

That was super good. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about Thai food. The only little pity was that we were only 3 on the cooking team, a little more thinking I could be better.
It was the worst COOKING COURSE of over 10 courses we have done so far. It should take 4 hours. Durations we were already after 2:20 hours. I'm done. We were not in any market etc. Everything went fast. The instructor spoke very quickly. We felt like it was all about the money. We asked for the recipes on our email as we don't have WhatsApp. Nothing has arrived yet.
Penny taught Thai cuisine with a lot of fun and humor. We now know how to make our own curry and have eaten very delicious what we cooked together. Thank you so much!
The best cooking class I've ever done! The cook was super friendly and fun and we had an incredible time as a group! The recipes + all sorts of information around it , she has sent us all via PDF, even the ones we did not cook. It was all super delicious and I would make it again anytime! Highly recommended!!!
