This tour company was recommend by our hotel manager and I am so happy we followed her advice! Our tour was perfectly organized. Pick-up was announced for 8:15 and, even though they had a few stops before us, they were there at 8:15 on the dot. The wait at the pier was short and the small speedboat we boarded was in good shape and the crew were so friendly and welcoming. The snorkel gear didn’t show any of the wear-and-tear you usually find on snorkeling tours, it actually looked new. We had plenty of time for snorkeling at each stop. It was clear that the tour guide wanted to stay on schedule but we never felt rushed. Lunch on Koh Rok was great, no gourmet food but fresh and tasty dishes. Drinks were included (water, coke, oj) and always easily accessible during the whole tour. The boat ride from Koh Rok to Koh Ha was a bit choppy, but we felt very safe - mainly because of the professional crew. As we were nearing the end, the guide walked around with a tip box, but it wasn’t pushy and we were more than happy to tip the amazing crew. Once we arrived at the pier, we were met by agency staff that quickly and efficiently assigned us to our drivers and we were on the way back to our hotel within 5 minutes of arriving at the pier. There are only 3 things I would like to note. Not as complaints, but as feedback: 1) it would be great if the tour guides enforced a few rules/laws a bit more strictly. On Koh Rok, tourists were smoking cigarettes and weed outside of the designated smoking areas. I know it’s not the guides’ job or responsibility to make sure that tourists behave, but it would make everybody’s experience more enjoyable. 2) I would have appreciated a crew member or tour guide to be in the water as well during the snorkel stops. A) to make sure tourists don’t touch or stand on the reef and b) to point out good spots to snorkel. 3) match the driver/taxi to the actual amount of passengers. There weren’t enough seats on the drive back and one of us ended up having to sit on the floor. All in all, we had an amazing day and I couldn’t recommend this tour company enough!

Itinerary
Get picked up either by speed boat directly from the hotel beach or by car from the lobby (depends on the location of the resort). Cruise on a modern speed boat from Koh Lanta towards Koh Rok in less than 1 hour with professional skipper and knowledgeable fluent English speaking tour guide. The new and spacious boat offers both outdoor and indoor saloons, clean toilet and is equipped with the latest safety and navigational equipment. All our crew are trained in first aid and CPR.
Make a first snorkel spot in the stunning lagoon of Koh Haa, made up of 6 rocky outcrops located half-way from Koh Lanta to Koh Rok.
Continue to Koh Rok which is protected as part of Mu Ko Lanta National Park. The twin islands are some of the most beautiful in Thailand’s Andaman Sea with brilliant white sand beaches, crystal turquoise waters, expansive coral reefs and metre-long land monitor lizards. The sister islands of Koh Rok consist of Koh Rok Nai (the 'inner' island which is closer to the mainland) and Koh Rok Nok (the 'outer' island). They are separated by a 250 m coral channel and much of the corals are not more than 5 metres under the surface and can be easily explored with a snorkel. We advise to bring your Go Pro or waterproof phone case to capture the amazing underwater scenes.
During the trip you will make several snorkel stops around Koh Rok and enjoy a delicious Thai lunch served on Koh Rok Nai. Spend leisure time strolling on the long white sandy beaches of Ao Man Sai, Laem Thong and Sarn Chao Beach. For the more sporty of you, follow the trail leading up to Pha Samed Daeng, a viewpoint affording sweeping northern vistas to Koh Ngai and Koh Lanta.

Beautiful, clear waters with some of the most gorgeous tropical fish. Most beautiful beach we have been to.
This was a great trip and a good way to experience two beautiful islands without too many people. The pick up was on time and simple, the crew were excellent, and the food at lunch was lovely. It was amazing to see so many different fish whilst snorkelling and the beaches were stunning. An all round great trip with a really good balance.
Ex snorkel trip. Very well organized with easy transportation. Guides were great. Food was great. Would highly recommend for a snorkel trip to Koh Rok and Koh Haa
At first I thought this trip would be hectic because the amount of small children and what appeared to be an oversold tour. However it was very different. There was enough space on each boat without being packed in and the snorkling in each area was the perfect amount of time. On boat 7 our tour guide None was great and very entertaining making the experience a fun day out. The lunch although seemed simple was delicious and enough to go around, even having a second serve if you wanted. We were also provided fruits and cold drinks throughout the trip. Highly recommend this tour. Our hotel pick up and drop off was great too being collected and dropped back directly to our hotel was good after a long day and the taxis were also not jammed pack like some tours which was also a bonus
Great organized tour, I was scared it was going to be too packed with people but it was actually okay! I went in September. You get some nice food for lunch and see some nice islands and fishes. You have some time in the beach to chill in between. The speedboat is really fine in my opinion. I really enjoyed!
We've been looking for a good snorkeling experience and this was it. Communication was excellent, starting immediately after I booked the trip. We snorkeled at three spots (2 at Koh Rok and one at Koh Haa). Our guide, On, pointed out the best places to swim at each spot. The snorkeling was excellent, with lots to see at each spot. Like most places in the world, much of the coral was bleached but we did see lots of healthy coral as well. Many varieties of fish, even moray eels and cuttlefish. Water and soft drinks were available all day. My wife was stung by a jellyfish at our last swim, and our guide acted quickly to assess the situation, and to alleviate her discomfort. (It wasn't serious and she was fine before we arrived back at Saladan.) The boat and snorkeling gear was all fairly new and in good shape. Overall it was a great day!
We had a good time! Swim around Ko Haa for bigger fish and a cave! You can bring beers and put them in their cooler!
Go for this if you enjoy being packed like a sardine in a clown car. No shade on the actual staff on the boat, but the company needs to stop being so greedy and take less people on the boat.
Great trip, all the guys on the boat were great and super attentive, the dude that asked if I wanted to see big fish was a legend, he took me out and we saw a reef shark and then the turtle!! Thanks dude and thanks for helping me back cause I didn't have fins. Delicious and plentiful lunch and drinks provided throughout the day. Couldn't recommend this tour company enough!
While there is definitely coral bleaching there is still some good snorkelling. The lunch was simple but tasty and we found them to be quite organized even though it was a big group. The initial boat ride was about an hour on a speed boat so keep that in mind if you get seasick.
We really enjoyed the tour. Staff was great. We got picked up at the hotel as scheduled. Great snorkeling spots. Food served at lunch was ok - we were in an uninhabited island.
I left angry and disappointed - probably all good if the seas are calm but this irresponsible, money grubbing business continued with the tour in extremely rough seas. I will be making a serious complaint to the Ministry of Tourism. The boat driver was all about speed and drove recklessly and it was a miracle we did not capsize.
We booked the full day tour and overall it was an excellent experience. The crew were warm, friendly and professional, and they made the day feel well organised from the outset. We saw some truly amazing fish and marine life, with plenty of opportunities to snorkel and explore a range of beautiful locations. Masks and snorkels were provided and were perfectly adequate for the day. The food was a pleasant surprise, with genuinely good vegetarian options, and travelling between locations gave us the chance to see some stunning scenery along the way. There are a few important things to be aware of. The boat was very full, and it takes a long time to reach some of the snorkelling spots. You travel at real speed, and on the day we went the sea was quite choppy. This led to a fair amount of sea sickness, and the constant jolting left my back sore after hours on the water. This is absolutely not a reflection on the crew or the company, but it is worth bearing in mind when booking, especially for anyone with back or mobility issues. That said, if you are comfortable spending a long day on a fast boat, the snorkelling itself is fantastic and the crew really do make the experience enjoyable. The marine life, locations and overall organisation make this a memorable day out and one I am glad we did
Very good tour. Snorkeling spots were decent. The water was crystal and there were lots of fish etc to see. The lunch served at Koh Rok was good! All in all nothing to complain about!
Koh Rok and Koh Haa tour was fantastic - highlight of our trip to Koh Lanta! Safe life jackets and snorkels, and the on-boat guides were fantastic. The team runs such an efficient operation and we thought we spent exactly the right amount of time at each spot. Topped off by a fantastic lunch and super efficient transfers direct to our hotel. It can be difficult to differentiate between operators for tours like these, would highly recommend Tin Adventures!
The tour was average. Snorkeling wasn’t anything special and all three stops had the same reef and fish. Did see 2 squid though! The lunch was basic and took up the majority of the tour at 2 hours. Saw monitor lizards and that was cool! The guides had little to no interaction with the passengers. The tour to phi phi maya beach was way better
very well run tour. Got to snorkel in many different spots and there were stops by beaches for those too tired to snorkel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. however, if you get sea sick easily this trip moght be difficult. Expect to spend up to 2 hrs on choppy waters.
Excellent day of snorkeling in crystal blue waters. The fish and coral life was amazing to see. The trip was well organised and managed. The staff were very friendly and the boat fantastic. Lunch was delicious. We also had endless access to cold bottles of water and soft drinks. Overall awesome memorable day out!
This is admittedly an isolated incident, but thought it would be helpful for others like me, who aren’t totally comfortable with these kinds of tours where you’re at the mercy of a limited description on the booking site and a crew of strangers in a strange land, who you hand over all control of your safety to. Was picked up at hotel, and brought to a beach for boarding. The person who checked my name seemed to be holding a joint, which didn’t bother me so much until I saw the same person then as the main crewman helping passengers board. I raised this issue in a note to the operator after I walked away and did not go on the excursion, and was told that it is common for people to smoke palm leaves which looks like I joint. My thought is, if that mistake can be made, maybe keep the smoking for when you’re not dealing with customers who might be already a little nervous about entrusting their safety to strangers. Additionally, the boat was not as I expected. Maybe I should have, but the description “The new and spacious boat offers both outdoor and indoor saloons,” gave me the impression they would be more spacious than shoulder-to-shoulder with other passengers. The word saloon to me means a place to get away, so I believed I would be able to find places on the boat to not feel so crammed. I may have gotten past this if I wasn’t already on alert due to not trusting the staff I encountered. Again, I walked away, and did not go on the excursion, knowing I probably was forfeiting what I paid, but my peace of mind is more important. I reached out explaining my issue, hoping I would deal with a company reasonable about customer service, but as stated, absolutely no refunds. So, beware, and be sure this is absolutely what you want to do before booking. They will not work with you under special circumstances.
It was an amazing trip! Super organised: we received a message a few minutes after booking the trip with the pick up information. They were on time and very friendly. The guide (TAY) was super sweet and even wanted to hold our baby so we could snorkel together. We had unlimited water and soft drinks on the boat, and had a litte snack (fruit). Lunch was on a beautiful island and was very good. The snorkeling itself was also very nice! we saw a lot of fish an even a shark! I was even thinking about doing the same trip again.
Well run tour including hotel pickup and drop off. The snorkelling spots were a little bit samey, but here was still plenty to see in the 30-40 minutes we had in each spot. Koh Haa was a particular highlight with the five rock islands in the middle of nowhere. Lunch was decent, but the lunch break could have been a little shorter (it was almost 2h) as there was not too much to do there except swim and relax on the beach. Definitely worth the trip though!
We went out for snorkling 3 times during the excursion. We saw a lot of Fisher. The Coral are not colorfull. We stop 2 hours at a wonderfull beach and the snack was good. On the boat we had water, cola, orange juice and fruits. We were 32 person on the boat. That makes a lot of people.
This was the best snorkeling tour we have taken. They take you to three snorkeling spots where you jump off the boat. Koh Rok was the best spot. Koh Haa was good also. The most beautiful colors species of fish. Water was nice and clear. Lots of coral. Although, most of it has died off. But still beautiful. The crew was awesome! Helped you out in every way. They provide water and soft drinks on and off the boat with lunch. Lunch was great! Had time to relax on the beach for a few hours. I highly recommend this tour.
Nice and caring team, rather well organised, safe, pleasant and good food. But the snorkelling experience? Well, if you have never been snorkelling in a good spot before, you will probably really enjoy it. For us, since we did many dives in the Great barrier reef, it was disappointing. The coral is pretty much dead and there are just a few types of small fish. It was probably much better 30 years ago. Not anymore.
beautiful places, good guide. he was swimming with us to show most interesting fishes. not for people with sea sickness, boat rides are long.
Fantastic day, really recommend this trip. Well organised, great food and amazing snorkeling 🐠 Staff caring and a fun packed day. So glad I booked it, well worth 100%.
Awesome trip. The best snorkeling I've ever experienced paired with some lovely relaxation time on some gorgeous beeches after a great meal put on by the crew. Good active day out lots of folk nodding off to sleep on the ride back. If you like a snorkel and are staying on Ko Lanta I'd strongly recommend giving it a go! 🤿🐟🐠🐡
One of the best place and sea I ever saw in my life. Amazing route with snorkeling stop and then the paradise of Ko Rok in front of us. The SinthongChai crew has been professional and very kind with all of us, they offer fresh fruits, they gently inform about the timing of the excursions and help during the activities on water. I would Highly recommend the SinthongChai organization and Ko Rok Ko Haa visit.
We booked this trip from our hotel on Koh Lanta. We really wanted to snorkle and visit Koh Haa. There was a long sail to Koh Rok which was bumpy but of course it takes some time going to the islands. We had a little stormy weather which was unfortunate but the Koh Rok and Koh Haa was stunning places for snorkling! Many beautiful fish and for both islands not many corals. The team was kind, looking out for us and they’d prepared a delicious thai lunch for os as well as drinks and fresh fruit. They made sure we got on boat and off safely and they weren’t shy to lend hand. In the end they gave us a wonderful trip and many good memories. Good guides!
Great excursion. The people of Thailand have these tours nailed down so well. There are usually several tours (10+) leaving from the same place, but the Thai people really have it organized so well from pick up at your hotel and dropping you off at the end of the day - so very organized, it doesn’t make it feel over touristy. The tour crew was very helpful, organized and made the excursion well worth it. The boat trip was about an hour to the first snorkel stop, snorkelling was amazing and just got better to the end of the day. Clear skies sunny, calm waters, some of the best snorkelling we have seen in our lives amazing trip!
Fabulous care was taken of us all by the fantastic crew. Includi g the pick up drivers. Plenty of time snorkelling. Great lunch. Water and drinks also supplied.
It was a great tour! I wasn’t snorkeling, but I had a great time! I was swimming in the sea on Koh Rok and in the turquoise waters in Koh Ha. Summary of the tour: absolutely stunning clear water turquoise lagoons and white sandy beaches, comfortable speed boat ride, delicious lunch on the beach included in the tour, and staff members - very friendly and helpful (our guide, Non aka Leo was funny, informative and friendly). Amazing tour! Thank you. I would do it again and recommend to my friends :)
My children rated this the best trip they had ever been on. The captain and staff were very kind to them and helped them spot sea creatures. They felt safe and well cared for and loved all the snorkeling spots. There were three boats and everyone who arrived was allocated a boat, so their boat was not too busy. There was a range of people of all nationalities. Everyone was nice except one Spanish woman who complained about waiting for a group who were late to arrive- “I don’t care about them, let’s go” Fortunately the captain waited despite her selfishness. The boat was a little bumpy on the way out but the kids enjoyed the ride and didn’t feel scared. They stopped to snorkel then had a delicious Thai lunch in the shade with more swimming. There were more snorkel stops and a calm ride back. Fruit and snacks were served and drinks were available on the boat. The girls were so happy when they came home and had had a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend. Thank you to the captain for taking such good care of my family.
We had a great time on this tour and loved Nol our tour guide, who was a pleasure. We went out on rougher water and still felt very safe and secure, Nol + crew took us to some awesome spots to snorkel which didn’t disappoint. The lunch was delicious and fresh, and the beach that you pay the fee for is beautiful and well worth it. Bring dry bag and your own towel. Transportation was easy for pickup and drop off. Overall great experience, would rec to anyone looking to snorkel / do a group tour. There were about 20 people on the tour w us plus the crew (4 or 5 guys)
This tour is well run. Pick up from our hotel was timely and while the speedboat was full (30 people) it was basically a taxi to the snorkeling sites which were the real goal. There is a bathroom on board, but pretty rudimentary. A couple of people got seasick, I would highly recommend taking motion sickness medication if you are prone to this. I am and I did and it really helped. The first stop was Koh Haa which had mediocre snorkeling just not that much to see. The second stop was in Koh Rok which was better than Koh Haa. I saw a rather large eel, better coral and more fish. Then we went to another part of Koh Rok where the beach is and disembarked at a floating pier. This is a national park and you have to pay $400 Thb per person in addition to the tour cost for park entrance so be aware of this. Here there are picnic benches and our guides gave us lunch. I had requested a vegetarian option and was a little disappointed when I was only offered the vegetable side dish that clearly was not a main course. The grounds of the beach offer a lot of nice shade because there are trees just off the beach. We saw monitor lizards roaming about which was exciting and we had time to snorkel just off the swimming area of the beach which had some pretty fish. There are bathrooms on site as well. The beach at Koh Rok is white and the water is quite beautiful. We made one more snorkel stop at another part of Koh Rok after lunch. It was maybe the best of the lot with some sea anemone and more fish. The clarity of the water was excellent and I saw only 1 piece of garbage (a plastic bottle) in the water the whole day. Then it was back to Koh Lanta. This takes about an hour. I thought we were supposed to go by a waterfall on the return, but we never did, not sure why. Overall, the tour is worth it. The guides were nice and competent. Be sure to ask for flippers because they were not initially offered. You will be driven back to your hotel which is very helpful. I only wish the beach at Koh Lanta where we departed from was cleaner. There is a significant amount of plastic garbage on it and it really degrades the area and experience for all people, locals and tourists - this in not the fault of the tour just a big picture observation. Overall, this tour was a positive experience and worth the time and money!
Great trip. Staff was very kind and helpful. Captain did some snorkeling with us and showed us some moray eels which most people would have missed. He showed me a cave where we were snorkeling, which was awesome. The food on the trip was very tasty. The sea life and coral is mind blowing. I will book again in 2 days because the trip was that good. You will love this trip.
Everything was OK but just OK with the exception of the National Park beach where we had lunch ( just OK) where the beach was stunningly beautiful with sparkly crystal clear water and soft white sand. The speed boat was functional- it was at full capacity so was just a means of getting A-B quickly but was over 2 hours of the day. Your view on the snorkelling will depend on where you have snorkelled before and when. We are a 65 year old well travelled couple who have had the benefit of snorkelling in these parts for over 40 years. The decline of coral and fish everywhere for us is a sad sight but that said there are still a variety of pretty fish and we are still glad we spent a day doing this.
Excellent day trip. Well organised with very helpful and very considerate staff. The snorkelling was excellent with plenty to see. The lunch was excellent, tasty and wholesome. Plenty of water on tap when required. Pick up & drop offs were smooth and efficient. Too much sun in the bow so sit near the driver as the engines are noisy and slightly fumes.
3 separate snorkelling options, all of which were pretty good (better than the snorkelling we’ve had during Ao Nang tours!) Guides were knowledgable and friendly, the yacht was clean and modern. As most other tours, it can be a bit packed. however, it was definitely not the worst we’ve been on, and in total there were maybe 3-4 other yachts doing the same tour as us so it was busy but definitely not unbearable.
Such a fantastic snorkeling experience with a knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend this trip if you're interested in high quality marine life. We saw thousands of reef fish and some very unique species!
The tour was excellent. nice staff, there was enough time for snorkeling. We saw beautiful corals and fishes. I really recommend it to everyone who likes to snorkel.
This tour was amazing: the snorkeling spots were like swimming in an aquarium! The skipper of the boat jumped in the water with us to show us even more fishes. It was amazing!
We can recommend this operator. Friendly staff, good communication, pick up at our hotel, good boat and snorkelling equipment. One thing they should improve is that they tell the clients not to touch the corals while snorkelling…
Had a great time snorkeling. Maybe spent a bit too much time on the island for lunch. but still a good day all around.
Fabulous experience with crew that care about environment. Knowledgeable and made sure noone interacted with wildlife or fed wild animals etc..
Enough stops for snorkeling and awesome crew. Saw a lot of fish and got snacks at the last stop of the day. Had a great time! Worth the money!
It wasn’t a great start when the tuk tuk (long base) picked us up and then drive like a mad man to Saladan. There were no hand holds in the back of the vehicle and he was going extremely fast and it did give me a few more grey hairs! The boat was full (sit at the back for a smoother ride) and we got to Koh Haa in about 30-40 mins. Snorkelling there was 30 mins then back in the boat for 30 mins to Koh Rok where we dropped off non snorkellers and our lunch and then went only a short distance for another 30 mins of snorkelling. Came back to the main island and had a tasty chicken curry, veggies, chicken drumsticks and plenty of rice. There was also fruit which I think should have stayed in the cool for a bit as it got a bit ant infested. We then had close to 2hrs on Koh Rok which felt like a bit too long. I would have preferred to do more snorkelling, or be given the option to do more on the adjoining island. The island was very pretty but there is construction happening and it was very busy. After the long wait, we got back on the boat and went a short distance for a 40 mins snorkel. Then we started back and was dropped off at our beach so at least we didn’t have to endure the mad driver. All in all it was a good day out but more snorkelling would have been my preference. Koh Lanta isn’t known for its snorkelling so you have to do these day trips. Tip: take stuff in waterproof bags if you plan to sit at the back as that is where people got in and out of the boat.
Excellent day tour. Beautiful beach and snorkelling. Crew and speedboat was excellent. The Thai style lunch was delicious. Got 2 hours on Koh Rok to chill between snorkelling stops. The tour didn’t feel rushed. Would definitely to another trip with Tin Adventures.
Overall amazing experience. The snorkelling was beautiful, we got to see tons of amazing fish and other sea creatures. The island where you have lunch is also beautiful. One thing to keep in mind. The ride on the speedboat might get a bit bumpy if the weather is not absolutely perfect. If that's a problem, do no sit on the front of the boat because it jumps the hardest there and try to be in the back. It was actually quite fun for us but I get that might not be for everyone. I was also pleasantly surprised with the English level of at least one of the guides which was way above the common standard here (thumbs up Dean). The lunch was alright and they do have vegetarian option. You will also get plenty of drinks throughout the day (water, cola, juice) and some fruit. For the price it was an amazing day.
