Itinerary
The Emerald Pool is a stunning mineral pool with blue-green waters hidden amid a lush forest, making it a perfect place to beat the mid-morning heat. The Blue Lagoon is another gorgeous gem surrounded by large, overhanging trees with roots extending across the water.
With waters reaching up to 42°C from underground volcanic chambers, the Hot Springs Waterfalls are therapeutic and soothing – quite like an all-natural jacuzzi.
Our last stop for the day is the majestic Tiger Cave Temple, called Wat Tham Seua by the locals, While the walk to the mountaintop temple may be a bit strenuous (expect a lot of stairs), the view once we reach the top is worth it. Take in the gleaming Buddha statue, see the tiger

Really good day. Our fantastic guide Por, made sure it all ran smoothly and gave us information on each stop as well as looking after all our belongings when swimming in the hot springs and the emerald pool. Recommend the climb to the top at Tiger Cave as the views are worth it, but advise doing this before visiting the temples below as it will probably take longer than you think!
Sadly Mother Nature wasn’t on our side today. Managed to get in the emerald pool before the heavens opened and by the time we went to the blue pool it was pretty torrential which spoit the view somewhat but we travelled in tiny season so half expected it. From there we had lunch which was tasty and plentiful! Another bus ride to the hot springs which were very relaxing - again it rained the whole time but didn’t spoil it. Quick change and onto the tiger temple half our party managed to climb while the other half visited the temple. Overall this was a good trip and had we had the weather would have been even better! Tim our guide was so lovely and helpful and answered any questions. The only negative I would say is it felt somewhat rushed between the activities! Only 10 mins after hot springs to walk the 5 min walk back to the bus and get dried and changed in tiny changing facilities is not really enough time and we were hurried back to the bus after being late. Also at the tiger temple the ones in our group managed the climb with only 15 mins to visit the temple, grab a drink and dry off so I feel this part could be longer
We had a fantastic tour with Pongpat as our guide and Bass as our driver. Pongpat timed everything perfectly—we were the first group to arrive at every location, which gave us some quiet time to take in the sights before other groups started arriving. His energy is contagious and he was an excellent guide throughout the day. Bass was a great driver and thoughtfully provided water after the hot springs so we could cool down. Overall, a really great tour—highly recommend!
It was well structured and perfectly timed for each activity. The guide was excellent and very helpful and made the day super easy.
We had a private tour as a family of 4 with our 2 kids. Our guide Koon arrived promptly at 8am, our transport was a spacious minibus, with cool A/C, comfy enormous seats and plenty of cold water all day. Koon was informative and friendly. He took time to show us the hot springs and emerald pool in the morning. Both of these required a walk, Koon pointed out varied wildlife. Lunch was a delicious Thai buffet, there were also alternative paid options for picky kids. The afternoon hike up the 1260 steps to Tiger Cave Temple was an endurance test, especially for smaller legs, but well worth it for the incredible views at the top. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would recommend Koon for a well organised tour.
Wonderful experience, lovely tour guide, great food. Beware of the monkeys at the temple, they were chasing people!
Fabulous day out with our guide Timm. Excellent knowledge & care for all her customers. Emerald Pool was amazing & hot springs like taking a bath! Steps at Tiger Cave are very steep & needed lots of breaks to reach the top but breath taking views once there. Great sense of achievement!
Everything about this experience was wonderful. The hot springs and Emerald Pool were so pretty! Even though it rained while we were at the Tiger Cave, we were still able to enjoy our time there.
Goon was very friendly and always keeping us updated all along the journey. A whole day well spent where the emerald pool was our highlight with crystal clear water with fish. The tiger temple was challenging but worth the pain once we reached the top. We were last to be back but Goon was patient! Everything was well planned and you get what was described from TripGuru. Thanks again Goon...keep on smiling!
Mr.Bon is as outstanding, cheerful and always happy to inform us on the history or whatever fun facts about the area. Even arranged a special drop off for me when I had to make some travel changes
What a tremendous day. Goon was a tremendous guide who explained, in detail, at each stop what was to happen. Everything was picture perfect. The Emerald Pool was lovely. The hot springs were hot. The 1200 steps up to the Buddha at Tiger Cave were difficult but we'll worth it.
Definitely worth the price. Our tour guide tan was amazing one of the best people i have met funny and knowledgeable would definitely recommend doing but bring or buy water for the temple
This tour was very well organized. Our tour guide Por was amazing! She was so friendly and knowledgeable and made sure to keep us on time. The sights were incredibly beautiful. It’s a fast paced day so be prepared!
Such an awesome trip! Arun was an awesome guide! Knowledgeable and friendly! Great trip to the pools and the Temple complex. Lunch was great! The climb to the temple on the mountain top was exhausting, but worth it in the end. Definitely make sure you are physically fit to make it... As the stairs and ascent can be difficult at times! The view was amazing! Such a great cultural experience.
Excellent trip today with our guide Tan and driver Dollar. Lots of time at each location so we never felt rushed and we were taken at the quieter times of the day so we had a lovely peaceful experience at the Emerald pools. We were taken to a lovely location for lunch and Tan looked after our belongings for us at each location too. I would highly recommend.
This was a great tour that covered several points of interest. It included swimming in a lake, hot springs, lunch and a visit to a temple. The temple visit gives you an opportunity to climb 1260 steps to a Budda statue sitting on top of a mountain (300 meters elevation). Our guide was organized and gave us clear instructions on all activities. My only wish is that the tour had the opposite order of things. Instead of swimming in the lake, followed by hot springs, followed by lunch and wrapped up with a climb, the mountain climbing should come first thing in the morning while it's not super hot. A swim in the lake would have been nice after the climb, not first thing in the morning. We liked the tour and the guide otherwise. Lunch that was included was delicious!
We had a great guide Arun, and he made the experience really enjoyable. Completely understand why he didn't join us on the steps up to the Tiger Cave temple, it was a mission and took a good 40mins, with some very steep steps. Nice to see some monkeys though. Good views at the top, and felt an achievement getting there. We arrived back at the hotel around 5.15/30, so a whole day trip. Lunch buffet, worth every baht of the 150 after the Emerald Pool. Arun was a great photographer, and sent the pictures immediately. Would have preferred to have done the temple first, so we could have relaxed in the Emerald Pool and hot springs/waterfall afterwards. (Its not a big waterfall, look at pics first). Small group of 9, and we had a nice group.
The hot waterfall was delightful and scenic, the different colors pools were gorgeous and the hike there was cool. The tiger came solo but the trek to the top of the mountain was hard and hot but the views vere worth it
Timm was great and that's what made this trip great. The trip itself is fine, but not quite what I expected. But as mentioned Timm made it a wonderful experiences. She was great with the guidance and information provided as well as answering all kinds of questions. She was amazing handling two rather obnoxious tourists who were on the trip and couldn't have cared less.
Arun was a great tour guide and it was a great day, thanks very much Arun
It was a very good experience ! Note that, on the first stop, you will need to get food for 150 baths (to add to the total price) Por was a very kind and joyfull guide, Thank you !
great tour , organised perfectly to avoid all the crowds. Tan was a very funny tour guide and very enthusiastic !
A fantastic experience, you get to see and do so much in a day. Coach is clean and has a/c, Arun was very informative and helpful. We made it to the top of the Golden Buddha in a tropical storm, great sense of achievement. Bring a water bottle you can fill, a towel and several changes of clothes, including trainers for the climb
Our guide arun was great helped us a lot and help us at every stage and was with us whenever we needed help. Overall, it was a great experience and all of my friendsloved it.
Excellent day out, well worth it. Our tour guide Arun was extremely helpful and informative, and was always happy to go the extra mile to make sure everyone had an amazing day.
Mr Bon was great! Patient, no pushing. We went way past our scheduled time but he was still all smiles!
This was a great but intense day out. Mr. Bon was our guide and did an excellent job at introducing us to all of the sites and ensuring we had enough time for each. The Hot Springs was AMAZING!! Although it was a hot day out, the water felt so healing and the scenery was beautiful. Tiger Cave Temple was NO JOKE!! Climbing all of the 1260 steps was quite the challenge but well worth it once you arrived at the top. The views were like no other and you really felt like you conquered something. Thank you Mr. Bon for guiding us through this wonderful experience!!
My husband and I had an overall great experience. We were picked up at our hotel in a brand new very comfortable van. Our driver was excellent. Our tour guide, she-ra was wonderful. Very personable, very easy to understand and nice to talk to. We really enjoyed the experience at all three stops and are so glad we booked this trip.
It was the best excursion in Thailand for us. Our guide Arun was very attentive and knowledgeable. He made the tour truly enjoyable
This was the worst tour I’ve experienced since being in Thailand. The locations themselves were good, but unfortunately the guide made the experience very disappointing. She didn’t provide enough explanations, and when she did, she only spoke to the small group walking directly in front of her without considering the rest of us. There was no effort to engage or connect the whole group. She walked like she was running away and we had to follow her. It was about the trip. I’m also disappointed with TripGuru’s organization. We were given only one glass bottle of water and told to refill our own plastic bottles in the car. I don’t understand the purpose of providing just one glass bottle, especially when we were rushed from one place to another without adequate breaks. Additionally, we were not properly warned about the steep stairs leading up to the Big Buddha. The walkway is quite dangerous and full of monkeys. On my way up, monkeys started pulling on my t-shirt, which was very frightening. I was scared of being bitten and had to turn back halfway. It was an absolutely horrible experience. Overall, the poor guidance and lack of proper communication significantly affected what could have been a great tour.
Awesome tour of the Emerald Pool and Tiger Cave. Our tour guide Por was awesome and made it easy for us to enjoy the day! Would recommend to anyone spending some time in Ao Nang / Krabi.
Amazing time with our guide Koon. The whole trip was well planned with a good amount of time at each stop. He also provided helpful suggestions and tips along the way. Everything ran smoothly and we were well taken care of. Would recommend it for sure.
This was an excellent trip. The itinerary was well laid out, the stops were of value and the right length of time. The transportation was very comfortable and the guide, Arun, was fabulous. He gave us lots of information, including on other things we might find interesting to do, took pictures for us, and was a very friendly person.
Goon is a great guy. Gives a lot of information about the places you visit😄.
It is a great tour, it ran on time and Bon, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the area. He was also able to answer any questions we had.
Our guide, Arun was friendly and informative, pointing out wildlife and vegetation along the way! The Emerald Pool was just like the photos. The hike up to the top of the temple was harder than I thought, so it would have been good to have some more time here. We paid 150 Baht for the buffet lunch and it was great.
Tan (tour guide) and Bruce Lee (driver) were absolutely amazing! We were collected this morning on time and travelled by minibus. We booked through Get Your Guide which I found to be really easy. The bus is very comfortable, plenty of leg room and air conditioned which is definitely needed for this trip! Water was provided for free. We started our journey and the first stop was the Emerald Pool, plenty of shops and restaurants there to see too. Tan was very informative and told us lots of facts about the forest as we walked through it. We saw spiders and lizards! When we got to the pool, it wasn’t too busy, Tan knows the best times to go to each destination to avoid the crowds! Tan looked after our belongings whilst we enjoyed the pool and I felt very comfortable with this. Tan then gave us time to look at the blue pool, plenty of time to explore and not rushed. We then had a buffet lunch, options were rice, pad thai, chicken with vegetables and fruit. We had to pay 150 baht each for this but it was more than worth it. We then made our way to the hot springs, the water is gorgeous with 3 pools (all at different temperatures) and a waterfall to choose from, there is also Thai massage here. Finally we headed to tiger cave temple, there were lots of warnings about the monkeys (can be aggressive or steal items) also, a huge amount of stairs to climb in the heat is difficult, therefore we chose to walk through the caves and lower temple instead which was great! Water is provided for free at the temple. There is also an air conditioned cafe with plenty of snacks to choose from at the temple. Tan took lots of photos and videos for us throughout the day, I thought his English was fantastic and he was very funny, making the day really enjoyable with a laidback atmosphere. Thank you Tan and Bruce Lee for a safe, comfortable and enjoyable journey 😃
Booked via Viatour as when booked stated hotel pickup. Which I selected. I needed hotel pickup as my elderly parents were booked on. Once I booked, I checked pick up time and was told, that it wasn’t included in the package I booked. When it does actually state hotel pickup up and allowed me to select and book for the hotel I was staying at. That was a disappointing start, as we had to walk to the pick up as no taxis available at the time. The trip to the emerald pool is great, could do with more time spent at the national park, not too busy and lots of places to sit. The hot springs were good, again more time spent here would be great. The highlight for me would be the tiger cave temple. The walk to the top is very steep and strenuous, and I would say only for the fit. You will be sweating and dripping wet by the time you get to the top and back down. Takes around an hour and a half to two hours. You can get a refreshing juice outside the temple once done. Overall a good trip and Arun the guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Nice experience, we managed to get to many places before crowds, thanks to our guide Tan. He was really helpful and caring
Relaxing tour with Steve as our guide!
This tour to Tiger Cave Temple, Emerald Pool, and the Hot Springs was one of the absolute highlights of my time in Krabi. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation. The climb up Tiger Cave Temple was challenging but incredibly rewarding. The panoramic views at the top are breathtaking and make every step worth it. It’s a spiritual and humbling experience. The Emerald Pool was stunning—crystal-clear, naturally warm water surrounded by lush jungle. It felt like swimming in a hidden oasis. After that, soaking in the Hot Springs was pure bliss. The warm mineral water was deeply relaxing . The tour was well organized, with comfortable transportation, a friendly and knowledgeable guide whose name is Porpawanda . We had much time at each stop to really enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. If you’re visiting Krabi and want to see some of its most iconic natural and cultural attractions in one day, this tour is an absolute must. Highly recommended! 🌿✨
Such a great day out, plenty of time at each spot and didn’t feel rushed. Tiger temple was a particular highlight! Our guide Bass was excellent! He was so approachable and answered all of our questions! Our tour was all admission fees included which took away any stress from the day.
*From America* Our tour guide Arun made this excursion the best we have had in Thailand. He is so knowledgeable, personable & funny! Don the driver was professional as well. Thank you both so much!
I would not recommend this particular trip. The overall experience felt incredibly rushed, and the timing of the activities was poorly executed. While our guide was skilled and professional, the general planning of the day was fundamentally flawed. The Pool Activities: The majority of the day is spent at the two pool activities. While the Emerald Pool is still impressive, it is much less so in person than the photos make it out to be, as it is a very small body of water. The Hot Springs were also underwhelming; aside from a waterfall portion of warm water, the area was extremely crowded and hard to enjoy. The other three "springs" are no more than warm swimming pools in the middle of a concrete area. Tiger Cave Temple & The Summit: The biggest disappointment was the visit to the Tiger Cave Temple. Upon arrival, we were told we had to choose between the activities because the schedule does not allow enough time to do everything. We elected to walk to the summit—a very difficult challenge that takes significantly longer than the "40 minutes" advertised by our guide. Upon returning to the ground, we were essentially forced back onto the bus because our time had expired. We hadn't even had a chance to visit the main temple—the primary attraction we came to see—after being told it closed at 4:00 PM. However, as we passed the temple, we noticed people were still entering, so we took our own time to view it anyway. Final Verdict: This review isn't a reflection of our guide, who did a good job, but rather the poor logistical layout of the day. If you want to actually experience the temple and the summit without being rushed, I would personally skip this particular trip.
An amazing day, our guide Arun was excellent. We have done a few excursions and all where great having Arun as a guide put this one over the top for us. The stairs to the temple very challenging but we'll worth the effort. Thank you Arun.
We had an amazing experience with our guide Arun who took us to Khao Pra Bang Kharm National Park which is the only lowland rainforrest in Thailand. We did an easy hike through the jungle and swam in one of the pools that are scattered throughout the park. Arun answered all our questions on the flora and fauna of the park, as well as some more general questions about Krabi/southern Thailand. We had a tasty lunch buffet near the entrance and then we took off to Thailand's only thermal waterfall. It was a bit crowded but we managed to find a spot to soak and relax. After that, we showered and changed, and continued towards the Tiger Temple. The 1260 stairs were a challenge, however we managed at our own pace. Free water was kindly provided at the hillside and also at the top, what a nice touch by the temple!
Had the best time as part of the tour. Bon was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we were all careful around the monkeys at the temple. You are given more than enough time at each stop and Bon gave clear directions for each meeting point throughout. Thank you Bon!
Arun showed us some great spots and was very patient, informative and understanding. Funny and entertaining, happy with the trip and would recommend people to do it!
We had a lovely full day tour to visit the hot springs and the Tiger Temple, our driver picked us up from the hotel on time and our tour guide Tan was really informative and friendly,it was interesting to learn about life around the jungle, with Tan’s expert guidance we managed to miss the mass of tourists everywhere we went. The climb to the temple summit is really difficult,I had to turn back half way as my knees couldn’t take anymore, perhaps would have been nice to jump into the water after the climb but then probably would have been stuck with the crowd.
