A little long travelling in van. But overall quite a nice day trip. The waterfall cold water at the end was refreshing.

Itinerary
Following a pick-up service from your hotel in Krabi, transfer to Phang Nga Bay by air-conditioned minivan to discover the famous filming locations of “The Man With the Golden Gun” in Phang Nga Bay.
Phang Nga Bay found its way onto the tourist map through its starring role in the James Bond movie starring Roger Moore as 007, and is distinctive for its sheer limestone cliffs that jut vertically out of the crystal emerald-green water.
Depart by longtail boat from Surakul Pier in Phang Nga province.
Cruise from Surakul Pier by longtail boat to James Bond Island where you will discover the famous Khao Phing Kan, a very high leaning rock with tiny caves. Here you can find stalls selling souvenirs mostly made from beautiful shells and wood. Walk around the James Bond Island and take a photo of Koh Tapu (also known as Nail Island or Spike Island). The limestone rock is around 20 meters tall with a diameter ranging from about 4 meters at the bottom and up to 8 meters at the top (hence the name of nail island).
Continue to Thalu Island, where you can take a guided kayak tour along the mangrove river and the giant stalactites caves & limestone cliffs.
Panyee floating village is where you will stop for lunch.
The natural island of Panyee is a towering vertical mass of limestone. Nearly all of the village sits atop a huge network of stilts that clings to the edge of the island’s coastline and stretches out over the sea in a maze of raised platforms and walkways.
Return back to Surakul Pier and make a short visit of Wat Suwan Kuha Temple, also known as “Monkey Cave”.
Continue to Raman Waterfalls, a place with an abundance of flora and fauna such as monkeys, deers, squirrels and birds. Note that accessibility may vary depending on water levels and schedule.

The trip was very long, but it was nice. You got to see a lot of things that you weren’t able to see another tours and experience with Mia and all the activities were wonderful. The monkey cave James Bond Island, beautiful
The boat trip around the islands was breathtaking, the views are just out of this s world. Be prepared for a long day.. We were picked up at 8:45 and didn’t get back until gone 7pm. This was due to being in a mini bus with others, which on all our other trips hasn’t been the case. The driver wasn’t the best, driving too fast a lot of the time. The water supplied throughout the day was warm. Lunch was ok, but again a number of boats arrived at the same time and it was more like a military mess room than restaurant. If I were looking to go to James Bond island and also kayak through the cave, there are trips that go by boat directly from Ao Nang beach, which is where we were staying. I think more info should be out in the info. That said memories were made.
It was definitely a good trip and one I would recommend. The long tail boat to the island was great. The canoeing around the caves was great. The time spent on James Bond island was also good. Lunch at the floating village was a good experience as well. It was a very hot day so by the time we got to the afternoon activities we didn't have as much enthusiasm as we did in the morning. We skipped the time seeing the monkeys and the temple to just sit in the shade. The last stop on the trip was to see a waterfall which was pretty unimpressive and not really worth the stop. All in all, it was a good trip and we are definitely glad we did it but I am not sure the 3 stops in the afternoon were worth it.
Very crowded, not at all what I expected. Lots of waiting around. Scenic but not a great tour, would not recommend during busy season. Maybe private tour would be okay.
We found the trip a bit underwhelming. It was nice to tick off our list seeing James Bond Island, but once you have seen the view there is much else to see apart from a few shops selling the usual tourist souvenirs. The other stops on the trip were also similarly underwhelming. The guide didn’t share any information about each location so we don’t find out about the history of each place. The buffet lunch was not the best, not much choice and the food was cold unfortunately. Be aware that you need to have your shoulders and knees covered when you visit the monkey temple (especially women). You will be charge to hire a sarong in order to go in. I had asked a couple of days before the trip if we need to bring anything specific and I was not told to bring anything to cover my legs so I would recommend for the tour provider to share that information with their guests before the trip.
The tour guide Mai was very sweet and told us about every place before we went. The initial trail via mangrove forests was great! The canoeing through the cave was really fun and the boatman clicked amazing pics of us! James Bond island lived up to the hype and lunch was decent too.
Very disappointed Your traveling more I'm a van if you go by long tail boat , this trip we found long and boring , There's definitely better trips where your seeing different bays ,swimming ect this trip is nothing like that
The tour guide (Mai) was very nice and made herself understood. The tour was nice, but I expected more. James Bond Island is not as it is depicted in the photos, the water is very dirty. During the tour they give you water (room temperature, which means hot).
Bare in mind that this is a touristic trip. But we had a great time. For me, a trip down memory lane, as I did the same trip 25 years ago! The highlight of the trip was kajaking in caves. We were really lucky with the guide who paddled us around, as he managed to get us in alone in most of these caves that brought us into small, open space places with total silence. Even though we must have been 50 kayaks together. But also going in to the old, original part of the floating muslim village, the mangroves and the large buddah in the cave was great. And the final stop by the waterfall, where I took a bath in a cooler water than the sea, was very nice. The James Bond Island was a tourist trap, but we knew that. Overcrowded with people and very pushy souverneer-salespersons, but that was expected. We all got our standard photos :) Nice and comfortable minivan picked us up at the hotel and brought us back. All and all - great value for the money. And just being out in the Phang Nga bay is breathtaking, the mountains and the colors are stunning!
Fine if you’re wanting to see the attractions. Felt like we were being funneled from tourist trap to tourist trap, and being asked to tip everyone along the way. Big group so not personal. Lunch was ok. Canoeing was 20 minutes total. But Phang Nga Bay is gorgeous.
Scenery, floating markets and islands was great, but tour bus was 50 minutes late which impacted the day. James Bond Island was very crowded as multiple tours arrived at the same time. Waterfall was underwhelming as it was more of a stream and had a musky smell, but that may be due to rainy weather the day before. There was also over an hour and a half drive from Ao Nang, Krabi, which was briefly mentioned in the itinerary but most of us were caught off guard.
Great day however transfer and travel times much longer than expected/ advised. Told 45-60 mins drive from Krabi - took 2 hours :(
Super crowded visit to James Bond Island. The soil is basically a mud clay combination and very difficult to walk in. The amount of boats and people that are brought to that small island is incredible. Kind of ruins the experience.
Guests struggled getting in & out of boats but staff tried very helpful assistance with guests every way possible.
Beautiful landscape of Phang Nga Bay, but everything was happening too fast. I also thought that kayaking would be more interesting. Phang Nga Bay and Khao Phing Kan - wonderful
While to your was as it was explained I was disappointed by the overwhelming amount of people at James Bond island it would have been nicer to visit a less populated location, the number of traders reduce people interacting as it’s all the same. The waterfalls may be beautiful in season but out of season just let the local children enjoy there swimming ponds. This should to take of the trip out of season
We really enjoyed it, our tour was from krabi. About 1h30 minutes, through the countryside. 1) long tail boat - great experience 2) kayaking - we were being driven around and our guy was very good, went under the rock ( see pic ) 3) James Bond island - that was very cool, could walk around, things on the island not too pricey. 4) panaye village - village on stilts. We went around it and really enjoyed that. 5) temple - could feed the monkeys, which I really enjoyed and around a temple. A must go tour, we really liked it
From start to finish a really good but long day out as we were picked up from Ao Nang that said our guide and other staff were superb lunch was excellent and excellent value for money
More time in transfers than in the sightseeing (4 h in transfers). The car arrived 15' late to pick us up (not a problem), after 30' driving he stopped 10' to put petrol and 20' break! (nobody needed this break), after 1h30 driving you arrived at the peer. We were 52 people in the long tail boat with only 1 guide! The guide was very good but he could not cope with so many people as he had also to help with the boat when reaching the sights. We stopped at James Bond island only 45', not enough as it is an overcrowded place, you have to queue for every single picture of the nice spots. Not recommended for people who are not fit as you have to "jump" to get into the boat, the peers are high and the tide is low, therefore not easy to get into the boat. The stop in the floating village for lunch was ok but it could have been longer. The best and highlight of this excursion was the 35' trip on the canoe to visit the caves, guides were extra. Lot of time to visit the Monkey temple on the road back. Conclusion: if you are interested in the James Bond island, this tour is not for you. But for the canoe, temple, village, it was ok.
Very well organised trip. We had a fantastic time. Guide and staff outstanding! Would definitely recommend this option to future travelers!!!
Had a fantastic time, the tour guides were great. Great experience. Must try in Thailand. Spoke good English also 😀
This was a great day and we saw a lot in one trip. The longtail boat was a great experience and the scenery was beautiful. The kayak to the caves was good but a little scary at times as the sea was choppy and you had to lie down in the kayak to get into the caves! I didn't know the James Bond film the island was used in but it was pretty nonetheless although crowded. The negatives were that communication prior to getting to the boat was poor. It was not advised in the description that it's a 1hr trip from Ao Nang to the pier and as I was collected first in Krabi and there were lots of pick ups it was 2.5hrs in the van before the day even started. This was a really long drive first thing in the morning when you're not expecting it. Additionally as the driver didn't speak English, we never knew what was going on, and the van kept making stops with no explanation. The staff communication was really poor and definitely something the company needs to work on. Monkey Cave was a bit of a waste of time and could be left out - there were no monkeys and not much to see! All in all I would recommend this trip as a way to see Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island.
Got a lot for your money in way of different places to visit. However it was a bit of a bun fight with 44 guests to 1 guide. Didn’t get to know anything about the places we went.
The actual trip itself was fun, however the booking process was very poor. We booked and paid in full for the trip well over two months in advance, and at the time it was only half full. We received a notice a couple of days before the trip that they were canceling our booking because the trip was overbooked. We called and spoke to someone who told us to cancellation was a mistake and resent us a confirmation for our original date. we called and spoke to someone who told us to cancellation was a mistake and resent us a confirmation for our original date. When we called to confirm the trip 24 hours prior with our hotel info for pick up, , we were told the trip was not running at all because it was New Year’s Day, and was a holiday and we needed to reschedule instead we canceled something else to go on this trip 2 days later. One of the tour operators told us indeed the trip we were originally on was NOT canceled. So we now know you just overbooked and randomly bumped us twice even though we booked in advance. Very disappointing customer service.
The beach at James Bond island was beautiful but the tour was very crowded and not the best communication
Well organized, great value for money trip. Online subscription went smoothful. Pickup at hotel was right on time.
This was a great tour! I enjoyed that it was full of so many surprises! Started out on a long tail boat where I had an excellent guide. The water and rock cliffs were breathtaking. Then exploring James Bond Island on foot and swimming. Followed by lunch, Monkey temple with feeding the monkeys, and then a beautiful waterfall. Lots to see and do with an amazing staff. Thank you!!
Amazing scenery. Especially the canoeing was great. Too much time on James Bond island. It's a very small island so you don't need a lot of time to have seen it all
Excellent experience, the tour guide was very friend. I would totally recommend it. The tour was very organized.
It was a fantastic experience. The places are beautiful and breathtaking, however, we expected more explanations from the guide, for instance in the place we stayed for having lunch or in the temple of the monkey. Then, in the last stop, a gourgeus waterfall, it was maybe because we were exhausted and we had just took a couple of photos, have a snack and the group told to the guide to go back to our hotels. Apart from that, I would recommend this experience to anyone who have enough time and want to be the hole day exploring, it worth it.
Great and well balanced your. The pickup was great, the drive was smooth and the staff were very helpful. I do recommend this tour to everyone in the area. You get to see just about everything and have more than enough time to see it patiently. You never feel rushed!
James Bond island was fun and a cool experience if you’re a Bond fan. And the scenery is beatifull. There are a lot of people so 1 hour there is plenty. The kajaking was a nice change of scenery, and our guide was really good. The floating city was really cool! The cave was worth it, nice place. The waterfall at the end was unneccecary. Not to impressed. Other than that a great trip all in all.
We had very enjoyable trip. Nana, the tour guide was great. Kayaking was fun, but bit crowded. Recommend the tour for first time in Krabi.
Love it. The four guys is really and I love to spend time with my family. Will go back again if I have time
Although the tour did everything in the itinerary we found our experience underwhelming. The title of the tour “James Bond island tour from Krabi by long tail boat” is not strictly true. The tour does go from Krabi however we were not expecting to spend two hours crammed into the back of a minibus each way to get to the pier. The pier is situated only a few kilometres from James Bond island meaning during the long day very little time is actually spent on the long tail boat and the majority of the day is spent in the bus. However, the activities we good and we enjoyed the few hours spent doing the activities.
Very nice experience. Our guide Mai really nice. They should explain more experience on kayak. That aomeone does it. I should give more time to the other islands and less time for the muslim island.
Very well organized and it was less crowded than I expected. I would definitely recommend doing this tour! Thank you very much!
Good day trip. Picked up at the time given. However when booking it was not explained that there would be a 2 hours minivan journey from Ao Nang before we reached the longboat. Good photo opportunities at ‘James Bond Island’, although was very crowded. Canoeing around an island through caves was good, although again it wasn’t explained that we would not be doing the canoeing but would be chauffeured. Meal provided was excellent but could have done with more time to look around the floating island. Not really keen on the add ons on the return journey that again we were not expecting. The monkey temple was ok but felt the waterfall with no water was a waste of time. Think we all would have preferred to go straight back to our hotels after a long day.
Pick up from hotel was almost an hour late, the trip itself was good from then on. We enjoyed the long tail boat trip through the mangrove swamps and islands. James Bond island was pretty crowded, but that can’t be helped. Lunch was good.
Great tour and amazing experience! Going through the caves is unforgettable 🤩😜. We thought we had to row but actually they take you in inflatable canoeing through very small caves to a lagoon so quiet and relaxing 😌
Really good trip, very enjoyable and got to visit a lot of areas! It was a long trip but positive over all with a great tour guide nanna!
Lots of variety in the day and interesting places to visit. The food was amazing and the waterfalls were lovely!
Had brilliant day, great sights and experiences and friendly helpful staff. Kayaking was great, well organised, very scenic travelling in and out if the different caves. James Bond Island very good especially for Bond film fans. Monkeys and temple in caves also great.
A full on day, great long tail boat ride through the mangroves onto a limestone cliff and cave area. We swapped into a canoe and were paddled through some small access points into some fantastic open caves! Really impressive, we loved it. Back onto the long tailed boat to James Bond island. It’s a tick in the box for a bond fan! There are a lot of souvenir stalls there who were on a hard sell mission and were in your face for over priced tat! We went onto the floating village for lunch. Lunch was great, lots of options on the buffet. We were encouraged to go shopping afterwards as we were there for 1 hour plus. Again overzealous stall holders and kid’s trying it on say it was for school fees, spoiled the experience. We headed back to the dock and back on the bus to see a reclining Buddha, which was nice and feed some very bored monkeys. Next stop was to a waterfall, this in my opinion was a stop to many. There were limited or no services available for a drink or snacks, the waterfall was quite boring. Our guide was there at every opportunity to take couple photos etc and to make sure everyone kept to the schedule. Our mini bus was cramped and the a/c was not fully functional! So it turned into an uncomfortable ride back to Ao Nang. All in all I’d recommend it for the canoeing and the James Bond experience. The rest were an effort to either empty your wallet or drag a half day trip into a full one
The whole day out was fabulous and well organized…great value for money enjoyable food and great staff looking after us
Trip is excellent value for money, you visit some stunning places, would highly recommend this. Tour guide for the day was Mai, who was out of this world.
We had a great day trip to James Bond Island as well as plenty of other sites. The guide was really friendly, accommodating and took a great care of the whole group. You get a lot for what you pay!
A must do for any 007 fans, busy day with full itinerary which was well organised apart from initial pick up and drop off. Collecting and dropping off participants took over an hour which when added to the drive to the departure pier, meant a lot of time in the mini bus. That said, all the attractions were interesting, with the ‘James Bond’ island predictably quite busy (I guess there are a lot of JB fans). Overall, a recommended trip.
A definate 'must do' on your Thailand experience. Picked up at Patong beach hotel at 0900, at pier for speed boat at 1000 for 1030 departure. Gorgeous scenery en route to the first stop, a cave with great photo op's then onto JB island and the iconic movie location where you can swim out to the rock. Onto the incredible floating village for a buffet lunch with a dcent selection, not great. Following a walk around the floating village and scool with floating soccer pitch it is off for a bit of canoeing viewing the rocks and their natural beauty up close with the funny guides. Then onto the stunning Palm Beach for sun, swim, jet ski etc or relax with a cocktail before returning to the marina at 1730 and back in our hotel pool by 1830. Most enjoyable.
