The crew on the boat was very nice and the tour was well organized. At the first snorkelling stop, I got stung by a jellyfish, but the crew had first aid! I was ok within the hour and could continue snorkelling at other locations. The food was excellent. Q and his friend were very sweet. They accompanied us for kayaking and took fun videos of us.

Itinerary
Start the day trip with a hotel pickup service in Krabi in the morning. Undergo a short health check-up by the crew of Krabi Sunset Tours at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang. Hop aboard the traditional longtail boat with your fellow explorers and head over to the Hong Island group.
Make a short stopover at Koh Daeng (Red Island) for open sea snorkeling with very clear water and a coral reef underneath.
Once arrived at the main island, named Koh Hong, start paddling on a sit-on-top kayak with 2 seats around Hong Island and explore the hidden mangrove forest in Hong Lagoon. Here you can swim in the cool turquoise waters and spot a wide array of colorful fish and other marine animals. Enjoy a yummy, fresh made Thai style buffet lunch directly at the beach.
Then spend a leisurely day exploring the secrets of the island, from mangrove trees to wild birds, giant lizards, incredible rock formations, and beaches. Relax at the turquoise beach and soak up the scenery - feeling the heat?
The highlight is the recently opened scenic viewpoint with a 360° panorama of the most amazing limestone islands the Andaman Sea has to offer.

I specifically booked a tour with a longtail boat to enjoy a more authentic and peaceful experience. However, at the very last minute, we were told the longtail boat was “broken” and that we had no choice but to go by speedboat instead. This seems to be a common trick used by smaller agencies in Krabi – they pretend the boat is broken just to switch to a speedboat and cram in more people for higher profit. The whole experience felt rushed, crowded, and completely different from what we had chosen and paid for. At the end of the trip, I raised a complaint and requested a partial refund due to the change and overall disappointment, but the staff refused to take any responsibility or offer compensation. I would not recommend booking with Trip Store Krabi – they are not transparent, and you may not get what you paid for.
It was good enough, but if not for the kayaking I probably wouldn’t recommend. Amazing views but tight schedule. The guide that led the kayaking however, went the extra mile. He was so sweet and knowledgeable and really tried to make sure everyone had the best experience.
Highly enjoyable trip. Beautiful scenery. Sufficient time given for all the stops. Lunch was simple but nice. The guided sea kayaking was a great experience. We were upgraded to a speedboat which was in superb condition and added to the enjoyment of the day. Guides were well organised, knowledgeable and super friendly.
An amazing experience beautiful scenery , lunch okay , we added the kayaking which was very good although arms packing next day . The 800 step climb to the 360° summit was well worth the hike
Good snorkelling with nice hard corals and fish life. We got stung by jellyfish so wearing long sleeve rash guard and long pants is recommended. Beautiful Hong Island with its lagoon, beach and viewpoint. Lunch box was ok and as expected on this type of day tour. Kayaking from the beach to the lagoon was the best part of the tour. Great services from Sila and the boat crew who looked after us very well.
Good tour with beautiful stops. True, it was a cloudy day the snorkeling wasn't great, but definitely still worth it. The kayaking was a fun addition.
Although the snorkeling experience wasn't impressive, I think that it isn't as bad as you might think if you're on a budget. Even if you have a lot of tourists in this area, you can find very nice and quiet spots to either take pictures or relax.
Though beautiful to look at, none of the islands in this tour were ideal for snorkeling. The water was not clear at all! The lunch served was also minimal and nothing special. The highlight, perhaps, would be the kayaking, which is not included in this but we paid extra for it when we saw the option available onsite. It was indeed an experience! But if your agenda is to snorkel - not recommended!
Maybe we were unlucky, but none of the 4 places we stopped were suitable for snorkelling at all - the visibility was less than 1m, there were many many boats churning up the sand and a lot of jellyfish. It was overall feel was very rushed and not the relaxing snorkelling tour we were hoping for. The food was ok. Adding on the kayaking option was the only part that made the day worthwhile.
This was definitely a highlight of our trip! Mr. Baw was attentive, funny, informative and the food was the best we had on a tour. The long boat was a nice way to travel, much preferred to the speed boat tour we had done previously. The snorkeling was good and we highly recommend the kayak option as we were able to get into the lagoon w/ the kayak (the tide was too low for the longboat to spend much time there) as well as kayak through caves.
The islands are beautiful, but you only have a short time on each leaving you feeling a bit rushed. This is very out of keeping with the general laid-back feel of Krabi. It's worth it if you're going to be in and around krabi for a week or more, but if you're only going for a couple days, I would stick with places like Raili, tong sai or AoNang.
We enjoy a lot the time there on November when it is not so crowded. It is high highly recommended!!
Hong Island has a lovely lagoon although it's not a good place to swim as there are so many boats around. The island has toilets available and the ones near the restaurant are better than expected. The guide on the tour tried his best to give us a good time although the fried chicken provided as part of lunch was rather dry. However, for the price paid, I shouldn't really gripe about that. I only realised that no guide would be accompanying us for the kayak option to the lagoon only when we were there though. Perhaps tripadvisor should highlight whether guides will be accompanying those who choose to kayak.
The snorkeling was amazing and my boys and I kayaked into the lagoon when the water was knee deep. I walked around barefoot in the lagoon while the boys paddled around and I took many photos. While kayaking back, we came a across a giant monitor about a meter long.

I forgot the tour guide name, but he is a nice tour guide. He is very take care of us and always have a smile on his face. The food which is including in the tour package was nice too, maybe we have no high requirements for the food but still enjoy!
We are the first time to kayaking, very nice! Guys you should try!

Although this trip's spots like lao lading island and Hong island are less scenic compare to Phi-phi island. But it is less crowded than P.P Island. We had sufficient time in every place, the tour guide is friendly and the lunch we ate was surprisingly good! (especially the green curry) The beach in Hong Island is pretty long, we had plenty spaces laying and relaxing under the tree. *Please apply insect repellant if you decide to take a stroll inside the Hong Island's forest. ˢᵒʳʳʸ ᶠᵒʳ ᵐʸ ᵇᵃᵈ ᴱⁿᵍˡᶦˢʰ

The tour was well organized and pleasant. We opted out of the kayaking and it turned out to be a very good choice, because otherwise we wouldn't have had any time to enjoy the Hong Island. Lunch was ok - after reading the comments about people being pleasantly surprised, I expected more, but was good enough.

The main con of this tour is that we didn't have enough time on Hong Island - just 1 hour for snorkeling before lunch and 30 minutes after lunch - we walked the trail.

If you would like to spend more time on Hong Island, I suggest you take a boat directly to the island and stay there for the entire day.

the beauty of the island tour is so good, the experience of the kayaking was also so good to have in my life
The pick up was on time but actual start time was over 30 min late. And of course we still were returned at the advertised time. The long boat was ancient and in poor repair. Actual snorkeling time was 30 minutes per stop. Insufficient. The kayaking was 45 minutes in old kayaks which were second hand from Sand Sea Resort. The seats were worn and in most cases damaged. The paddles were in a terrible state and you had to search through to find a decent one. We were refused single kayaks. The kayaking route was to the Lagoon which we visited by boat a short time later. The guide had no idea of the long tail boat schedule from the pier and got us there late, missing the boat and having an hour wait for the next one. We actually ended up having to take a private boat back to our resort at a cost of $40 Canadian. All in all a disapppointing excursion.

The islands are pretty, the lunch is good - the “snorkeling” is NOT a highlight.Extremely rude guide, who actually yelled at fellow tourists on numerous occasions. We’ve been travelling for a while are are pretty laid back-but this exeprience left us wanting to jump overboard and swim back to dry land!

Driver arrived on time at hotel but the transport is overloaded with passengers. Then, the longtail boat broke down in the middle of the ocean and we had to wait for 40 mins instead of the 20 mins told by the tour guide. Lunch was below average for Thai food. The guide just sent us out to kayak with no supervision in the rough sea. It wasn't fun at all.

This was a good tour and Hong island is very beautiful and worth seeing. I have had better and friendlier tour guide, but he did his job.

We went to Hong Island last year. We were on a day trip which was the 7-Island Sunset Tour with BBQ Dinner and Night Snorkeling from Krabi. We visited Hong Island after lunch. Our guide said that this is the place where you don't see water in one part of the day and the rest of the time, it's filled with water. We went there when water was deep. We were onlooking other tourists who were snorkeling, swimming there. There were quite a lot of kayaks and boats. We clicked a lot of photographs. The entrance is magnificent. Its between 2 hugs rocks and boats pass by in the middle. The water is clear inside. Not much of time that we spent there. Beautiful Paradise place.
We were picked up promptly at our hotel for this excursion, and our guide was very good. It was a beautiful day, and the boat ride was pleasant. We had to bypass one of the usual stops because high winds made that anchorage untenable, and at another of the stops, the small swimming/snorkeling area was wall-to-wall people when we arrived, so I opted to stay on the boat. The next snorkeling spot was also crowded, but not as much so, and we enjoyed the snorkeling there although there was a lot of dead coral. The lunch provided was good. There could have been more fried chicken, however. That went fast.

The pick up was about 20mins late, apparently due to many people going on tours. First of all we were taken to a meeting point at Nopparat Thara Pier where about 100-150 people were waiting to get on boats for various tours.

My group had about 25 people, so the Longtail boat was full. It took about 45mins to reach Paradise Island and we stayed there for about 35mins. Then we went to a lagoon 25 mins were everyone could swim if they felt like it and take photos. After this stop we went to Hong Island for about 2hrs where we had Thai food for lunch, and then we went kayaking around part of Hong Island 2 people per kayak and visited some isolated caves. The guide was great and took photos of everyone in their kayaks. We were scheduled to visit Red Island after this stop, but we were told that the water was too choppy and unsafe, so instead we had extra 20 mins on Hong Island for swimming. The flexible floating pier was a challenge to walk across at Hong Island, it felt like we were on a roller coaster and was hard to keep our balance as the waves moved the pier up and down. We then returned to Nopparat Thara Pier 45mins later and then transported by Tuk Tuk to our hotels.

Overall the tour was ok, but the Islands were very crowded as I expected, but at least we got away from people when we went kayaking and Hong Island was also nice place for swimming. The guide was very hard working to make sure everyone was happy!

We were staying in Railay Beach and we had to book a longtail boat to go back to Krabi to join this tour. It is an extra logistic and cost but we really enjoyed the whole trip. Everything was very well organized and even the lunch was quite good. We chose the option with kayak and I strongly recommend it! We could see Hong Island from the outside and explore better the lagoon. In this tour we had also the opportunity to see very colorful fishes around the Red Island for the fans of snorkeling. A fantastic way to know a little more of Thailand.

this was a really good tour, especially the nature walk on Kong Island. Joon, the guide was very informative and helpful

Small group tour of 6-8 people. Longtail is good for close trips but wouldn’t recommend for long ones. Guide was friendly and smart. Beautiful snorkel. Tip if you kayak you miss out on best snorkel at Hong island. Would repeat again

The tour was amazing! Our friendly tour guide from Krabi Kingdom, although he couldn't speak English well, did his best and made sure we were comfortable, safe and had a great time! And the lunch they served was delicious. Though the snorkelling part was a bit disappointing as we could hardly see much, perhaps as it was rainy season. But really big UPS to the tour guide! Highly recommended tour!

Tour was a lot of fun! Our tour guide was enthusiastic which helped. Definitely a must if you're in Krabi.

Pros - The tour and snorkelling were great, 5 stars, great scenery, saw lots of fish
- Lunch was tasty

Cons - The kayaking took us to a lagoon where the tour subsequently went, so it felt like a bit of a waste of money
- Tour guide was occasionally rude to some of the tour group

Review would be 5 stars without the two cons, which should be fairly easy for the provider to sort out

We loved this tour!!! The Company gives you ample time in Paradise Island and Hong Island, which are little paradises. Highly recommended.

This was just okay overall - good for the content, but everything else was less than stellar. We didn't follow the itinerary listed in this description at all. We got picked up in Ao Nang by songthaew on the tail end of my 8:30-8:50 window. We got dropped off at the pier amidst chaos of a billion people all transferring and being herded around. We were told to wait in one random area, and we hung out there for ten minutes before our tour guide came to talk to us. We didn't get into a longtail until close to 9:30. It was forty minutes to Hong Island I'm not sure we stopped at Koh Daeng at all, and by the time we got out and everything, it was 10:30 and he said we needed to be back by noon, only giving us an hour and a half there, not the 2 hours listed. A handful of us had signed up for kayaking, and our tour guide was remarkably unhappy at having to repeat his unclear direction on when and where we were doing this - actually yelling at us once that he told us once already, on board, on the noisy ship.

Kayaking was very cool, although the lagoon didn't have much water in it because it was low tide - he seemed surprised by this, but it's not like the tides aren't known. It's about 2 km there and back, and a good little workout. I was annoyed because I was paired with the guide, being a solo traveler, and he at points completely stopped paddling at all.

We had lunch at Paradise Island, which was pretty cool. We then also went to Koh Phak Bia for some reason we were all cold and only got off the boat because it was warmed in the water and then back to Hong Island for the lagoon where we were supposedly waiting out the storm. Nobody was getting out of the boat at this point. When somebody asked how long it would be back, perhaps with some wishful thinking that it might be less time with the winds or something, he snapped Same as the time here. And we're like ...okay, and if we've forgotten, could you please remind us?

He was helpful with pulling down as much covering as he could for the guests stuck out by the spray, and asking people to move down so more people could get under cover, but he repeatedly said it was a bad weather day and we shouldn't have come, which makes me wonder who's making him run tours in dangerous weather. He handed out motion sickness medication after it became clear it was going to storm, but one poor woman was sick repeatedly on the way home.

This could have been a GREAT experience if our tour guide wasn't so hostile about having to repeat himself when his English was minimal and was willing to explain more about what was going on and where/why we were going places, especially in the rain.

The tour was great, although the longtail boat was a very very long ride, almost 3 hours of the trip was on the boat.

Tour guide was amazing and friendly, the kayak experience is definitely the highlight of this excursion.

First time here in Krabi? Must do this, then you'll get a feel of it and know what to do next time when you return.

it was overall a wonderful experience and our guide Brown was very keen in interacting with us. Some portions of the trip were very touristy and hence very crowded but Brown amended the itinerary such that we would not be clashing with the whole mass of tourists on the islands.

This tour was amazing. The tour leader explained everything really well. Hong Island was incredible especially the kayaking to the Lagoon. It was great that the tour also brought us to Paradise Island. This was the best tour of the islands that I went on and would recommend this tour to anyone.

The highlight of our trip , amongst the many options this seemed like the best best option , and thanks to Krabi tours it actually turned out to be so. The boat was perfect and the guides were good, so was the equipment for snorkeling and Kayaking.
A must do for families who want to spend quality time with some adventure

This was one of the highlights of our vacation in Thailand. Great tour, beautiful spots and great communication with guides! I like to do my own things and plan my own trips, but this was more than expected! Book this tour!

It is what it is. Beautiful and Very touristy. The guides and operators were proffesional and everything was fine, just realize you are going to the disneyland of Thailand. There's a reason everybody does this, it's amazing. Having said that, I would recommend adding the kayaking porting to the trip if you like a little adventure. It wasn't difficult but my 80 year old grandmother couldn't have done it either. If you don't kayak you end up with an extra hour on a beautiful but VERY crowded beach.

We had a great time, beautiful scenery and enjoyed the kayaking!

TRIP HIGHLIGHT! I was apprehensive based on previous reviews but I'm so glad I did it. Yes, it's crowded, but there's plenty of space for everyone. The stop at the lagoon prior to was a highlight as a non-swimmer. It's the place where everyone takes their fancy boat pics, too! We saw a large kimodo dragon walking around, chilling in the picnic area. It didn't bother anyone, and we didn't bother it. Fascinating to witness! The lunch was really good, per usual. Hong Island is one of the few places you'll see ice blue waters in Thailand, not the murky green stuff. If you do no other island tour, you should do Hong Island!

I felt like the trip left a bit to be desired. It was a lot of shuffling from one place to another and a lot of crowds at each location. The trip seems to be better fitting for families with young kids or older couples.

I would also suggest that you buy your ticket in Krabi rather than online. There is an additional 300 baht charge to enter Hong beach that I was not told about. Other passengers paid 500 baht for the tour and then paid 300 baht to enter the beach. I had paid roughly 800 baht online but was still forced to pay the 300 baht to enter the beach.

In a rainy day, crowded beaches and poor snorkeling spots...

We did many tours in Thailand Phi Phi, James Bond etc and this one was in both of our opinions by far the best.

Excellent snorkelling locations, vibrant guide and amazing home cooked food.

I would say this is a must... especially for the price!

I would recommend this tour to everyone! My 21 yr old daughter and I loved it! We went in August, so the weather was not the best and the water was rough, but we would do it again in a heartbeat! The optional kayaking was SO fun, you should do it! Our guide was friendly and spoke decent English, the lunch provided was yummy and plenty of food.

It was great! Bowne was an excellent tour guide and the Kayaking was a MUST.

The tour was very nice. Hong island is a pure gem. We also had a nice lunch close to the beach and a dip to the amazing lagoon. The highlight of this tour was actually the Paradise island. A small uninhabited islet with only 2 small beaches and extremely amazing landscape.
BUT, we were absolutely disappointed with the crowds. The tour as a tour is a must, but Thai authorities has to do something with this out of control situation. We counted the people at the beach of Hong island, there would be about 1000 at the same time!!!! This is totally unacceptable!!! Hong island has 2 beaches, one is full of boats and the other tiny one full of people! There has to be a daily limit cause in a few years there will be no Hong island any more!!!

Really friendly bunch, looked after us well on this awesome tour. Picked us up from near our hotel and dropped us off, no problems.
Looked out for our vegetarian food requirements too.

Some some beautiful parts of Hong Island and the nearby islands. Did some very nice snorkelling they provided the snorkels and life vests
