Overall great trip! Good value for money. Very well organised. Guide was great. Lots of time at each stop. Plenty of drinking water provided. Pick up and drop off included. Lunch was good and fruit on afternoon. Morning coffee and snacks while waiting to board boat. Wrist bands made us feel more confident and part of a group as could see other people on your boat. Uniformed staff. Very well organised. All stops were amazing! Definitely do the walk to the 360 viewpoint superb! Only negative- boat was crammed be prepared for this.

Our second time visiting the Hong Island, the Longtail crew were amazing! The guide joined us snorkelling and showed us where to find the lesser spotted fishes. Even took our camera to the depths to get some amazing footage! Every time we got back on the boat we were given a bottle of water and the food included was an excellent selection of Thai delicacy. Scenery was outstanding, the weather makes this part so if you’re unfortunate for a rough or cloudy day you may not have the same experience. Wouldn’t hesitate to book this again when we return to Krabi.
We had a really fun day even though it started out in a downpour. Honey and Daisy were wonderful leaders and we had a great captain in the challenging conditions. We loved seeing the islands and we took the advice and clibed to the lookout on Hong Island. That was worth it!
This is a good combination of visiting two beautiful islands some distance from Ao Nang and including snorkelling along the way. The lunch on Lao Lading was more than adequate, and the opportunity to gaze on the Andaman Sea from the high level platform on Hong Island provides an unforgettable memory. On the other hand, if you climb to the viewpoint you won't have time to also relax for long on the beach. The melee of customers at the An Nang pier could be better organised - for example, customers for the different destinations and types of boat could initially be seated together so that they hear relevant announcements. The guide should also ensure that all 30 people on the boat can hear and understand announcements during the trip, and some of the life jackets were uncomfortable to wear. But overall a good day out. Smooth experience sailing between islands. The waters were rough so we couldn't go snorkeling, but that was out of the tour guide's control.
The beaches and sights were beautiful. However, we were last to get on the boat and we got the last seats which had no windows to look out at the beautiful scenery. We were told we had to stay in those seats for the whole trip. Also, since we were in the back of the boat we could not hear or understand directions from the leader. Also, it would have been nice to get a very brief information about the area and how it developed. The walk from the boat to the beach was very difficult and this floating dock moved around when walked on. The crowds pushing and shoving did not help. We are giving this a 3 because of the natural beauty.
Great experience, really enjoyed the tour guides attention to detail. Lunch was nice and tasty. All in all a good day.
The Islands were nice… the food was good but very sparse. We were hungry for the rest of the day. They say they’ll email you but they don’t- they WhatsApp and we didn’t get the info in time due to wifi which made our pickup very difficult and we almost missed the bus. They shove you in buses like cattle… it’s a massive travel company, not a small boutique group like we were expecting. Very expensive for the experience.
Regardless that it was a bit overcast and really couldn’t snorkel due to the sea being rough, let us spend more time on the islands which were fantastic. Even the really long stair climb to the top of the viewpoint was worth it.
The tour was amazing. We have been to many islands with some breathtaking scenery and staffs were so nice to us. Being a solo traveller, I was very much welcome to the group and had so much fun. Lunch was not that great, but the fruits we had on the boat were very fresh and juicy.
This is one of my favorite things I’ve done in several years! The boat was simple but comfortable. Our driver was thoughtful and willing to adapt his tour. The best part of course is the breathtaking beauty of the islands you get to see. I would recommend this to everyone. If you have mobility limitations you might not want to exit at beaches with floating docks.
Our tour guide Jun was kind and made sure everyone got their photos. You get what you pay for with this trip as its quite cheap so lunch was poor in comparison to the other trips I've had. The long-tail boat is slower so makes for a long day, I'd recommend a speedboat tour instead
The nature and islands were beautiful, unfortunately it was relatively crowded, maybe because we went on the weekend. Boat after boat came, unloaded people for schnorcheling, gathered them and went on. The guide was very unfriendly, impatient and rushed us in and out the boat without any explanations or information about the wildlife or how to protect (!) it. On the Hong Island he didn‘ t even wait until the whole group could listen when to meet again. The Long Tail boats themselves are loud and stinky. Considering the environment, I had a very bad conscience, although it was amazing to see this (so far) beautiful area.
enjoyed my trip! the boat captain made sure everyone has their “souvenir photos” taken from the trip.
The tour includes visits to some really beautiful beaches, snorkelling was super fun, lunch was nice and the tour guide was really helpful!
Good day out with many snorkelling opportunities. Picked up from hotel and taken to the pier. Time for toilet/change clothes and some complimentary snacks and drinks. First stop only for snorkelling with many fish to see. Taken to another island to have lunch on the beach. Beautiful location. Finally 2 hours at Hong Island. We did the nature trail, snorkelled and walked to the viewpoint. Good amount of time spent at each placd. Didn't feel rushed. Everything was sorted for you. Good friendly guide! Fruit offered on return and dropped off back at hotel. Thank you for a lovely day!
Great trip and a great guide! 360 veiwpoint is defenetly worth the walk. Make sure to bring water. Visited another smaller island as well, with a small but extremly beatifull beach.
I really enjoyed this trip. I was picked up around 8am, which isn't too early in comparison to other trips I've been on. We were taken to the pier to catch the boat and whilst we were waiting we were all given free drinks and snacks (tea/coffee/chocolate, sweets, cakes) which was really nice. We stopped off at a number of bays so that we could go snorkeling, and although I didn't get in, it was a good opportunity for photos. When we arrived at Hong Island we were all given lunch, and I was really surprised when they gave me a vegetarian meal. I've been on other trips and really struggled to find a veggie option other than salad or chips. The meal they gave me was sweet and sour tofu with rice, which is one of my favourite dishes. We were also given fresh watermelon and pineapple slices. After that we were free to explore the island on our own for a few hours. The beach here is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of areas where you can shade from the sun. The 360 viewpoint is up a really steep mountain with around 400 steps to the top. It was a struggle with the heat, but it was totally worth it to see the stunning views of the other islands around the Andaman Sea. If you decide to climb it, I recommend wearing trainers rather than flip flops or sandals as the steps are really narrow and easy to trip. There is a nature trail which goes around in a loop, although the only wildlife I saw was a monitor lizard. There is a nice little cafe on the beach that do amazing ice fruit smoothies at a very reasonable price, although they do tea/coffee and snacks too.
So they say that we've to book the boat a day before we're planning this trip, but in my case we're here to relax and not sure that we'll wakeup at 8AM. So we got up at 10AM and planned and booked our trip at 10:30AM. One important thing to note that there are two different boats which go there, one is a speed boat which is quite expensive if you book( I guess that needs to be booked a day before your trip). The other one is a long tail boat which they've mentioned 2500BAHT which we bargained for 2300BAHT. So our trip starts in the water along with waves from Beyond Resort and we enter Hong island Lagoon, where we tried snorkeling, but there were no fishes over there. So we moved further to Hong Island 360° view point, on the Hong island. There's entry charges as soon as you get off the boat, and for the view point, you have to climb too many stairs (through there are 4-5 resting points in our way). But the climb is worth once you get the view Next on the island beach you can swim, do kayaking or can snorkel and can see different fishes which is mesmerizing. Our last point was Pakbia beach which doesn't have a good beach, but you may like it as a picnic spot.
An amazing tour! The organisation was amazing from start to finish and the staff were lovely. The islands are beautiful and the viewpoint is a must see! 10/10, would definitely recommend!
The tour the Hong Islands was lovely and very well organised. Loved the whole experience and the hospitality of the staff. The food provided was also good. Would like to mentioned Sophia who was our guide and she did an exceptional job.
Beautiful islands! One of the most mystical places on earth IMO. Traveling by longboat amount the limestone cliffs was amazing, the places we stopped included a reef where we swam and saw clownfish in an anemone, a cove where we had a small lunch the tour had packed. Hong island itself was gorgeous. We climbed to the top (10-15 minutes) for the 360 degree view which was amazing! Then rented kayaks and explored the mangroves in its hidden lagoon.
This is a great experience if you’re staying in Ao Nang or Railay. The organization was flawless, the staff was really nice, kind and professional and the tour leader had a really good level of English which makes it a better experience. The only downside was a very small delay due to the boat engine, but the crew was again very professional in fixing the problem and get us back on track (that’s the reason why I don’t give it a 5 star rating). Totally recommend this tour!
Amazing experience visiting three islands. The lunch was better than expected, really tasty. No regrets taking this tour over the Hong Islands tour!
The tour guide was very great and took us to snorkel together. I also dive into the water to play with the corals so that we can see the fish and sea urchin. The enthusiastic tour guide took the initiative to take pictures of us and shared the underwater photos taken by him before diving. Compared with the speedboat, the individual prefers the long tail boat, which feels more appropriate and simple. Although the scenery of Hong Ialand is not as beautiful as other islands (various blue waters), it gives me the feeling of being closer to nature, less tourists, mountains and holes. The lunch provided is also great, but it is not good but it is delicious!
1. Really have to follow the email to inform you of the time to pick up the car at the hotel lobby, because it is really punctual. 2. The local leader's service attitude is enthusiastic. When snorkeling, first tell you that you can't swim, then the lifebuoy will go down and take you to snorkel. 3. The beach scenery of Hong island is very beautiful. In addition to snorkeling, if you want to kayaking temporarily, you can pay directly (one person 200 baht). The entire itinerary is very substantial and recommended.
The friendly guides made the trip very enjoyable. The first time I saw such a beautiful scenery, it was very beautiful, I hope I can go again.
The island is beautiful. The itinerary is good. It’s a bit simple to eat at lunch, but it’s not the point. Great event.
Count that you will be charged 300 bahts more for national park fees and probably 100 bahts more because the hotel is “not on their list”. In the hostels they offer this same tour with included taxes and cheaper. Don't book it here without checking the price at your hotel/hostel.
Well organized and coordinated excursion - very kind guide and always listening to us - the hong islands are beautiful especially as we were lucky to be very few on the different islands. It takes about 45 minutes to get there by boat and come back the same with a slightly noisy engine but it's the charm of Thailand, you get used to it 😊 The lunch was very good and the price for the day reasonable 26 euros per person. Just one small thing, but important for Francophones, there are only guides who speak English. We are delighted with our excursion
