This half-day trip is fabulous! You get to swim in the huge Emerald Pool and view the Blue Pool and Crystal Pool. Then it's off to these awesome outdoor hot mineral springs, right in the middle of the jungle! The tour guide is super helpful and has good English. Lunch was in a restaurant and is provided as part of the tour. The food was delicious! Five stars from me!
Fabulous bathing. Short walk. The pool is a beautiful colour and warm to swim in, and the hot springs are hot like a bath. Can be a bit slippery but people will help each other so it’s ok. Well worth the visit.
We really enjoyed this half day tour! We were picked up at our Ao Nang accommodation around 830am and got back at 3pm. Still a fairly full day and we were tired by the time we got back so we were happy not to have the temple with 1200 steps still to go! We had an hour to swim at the Emerald Pool. While you are there it’s worth walking the extra 10 mins to the Blue Pool - not for swimming. There is a concrete path from the entry to the pools. The shortcut back to the entry is gravel. Our tour did not include lunch but there was no issue stopping at the same restaurant to order & buy our own food. The prices of the meals were cheaper than we had found in Ao Nang! It meant we were still close by our tour guide who handled both tours (full & half day). Next stop the Hot Springs. Also there for an hour where you can jump between different temperature pools and cool off in the river. I think the minerals in the water contributed to our feeling so relaxed and a bit sleepy at the end. Just what we all needed! If you have some sensory issues being in bare feet in the natural waters, bring reef shoes. We didn’t find sharp rocks but there is some leaf litter at the bottom that feels squishy under foot. As far as the walk goes, we had orthopaedic thongs/flip flops that were fine to walk in. I don’t think you need shoes & socks. Highly recommend!
This whole thing was very overpriced and very underwhelming. The entrance fee wasn’t included so we were essentially just paying for an overpriced taxi as the guide was just dropping us off. We went when all the other tours went so it was insanely busy to the point where it wasn’t even enjoyable. We ended up not even going in the emerald pool as there were too many people and we just took a taxi home as we didn’t feel like waiting over 2 hours to be taken back to our hotel. We were extremely dissatisfied with this avoid it if you can and just book a transfer elsewhere.
This was not value for money - we basically only pay for transport as the park fees were not included. It was 90 minute journey out of Krabi and it was a rush from the hot springs to the emerald pools. Water was included in the package but we literally had to beg for water - the driver was very reluctant to share the water. It was a tiring day. The emerald pools was a disappointment compared to the photos shared on social media.
Nice day out visiting hotsprings and the green pool. Left early and beat most of the crowds. Found a tour without elephants etc. Hot springs were 45 degrees and very relaxing. A bit of walking involved.
We opted for the half day jungle tour which consisted of a visit to the Emerald Pool, Blue Pool and Crystal Pool. This was then followed by a stop at the thermal waterfall before being taken back to our hotel. The trip from Krabi, booked through Viator and provided by Oh-Hoo Travel was about an hour from our hotel in the centre of Krabi. Our guide, Fatin, was lovely. She provided so much information and really took care of everyone on the trip. The Emerald Pool, Blue Pool and Crystal Pool are beautiful. We were given about an hour to swim in the Emerald Pool and didn’t feel rushed at all. There is a restaurant and a small array of stalls at this location. A short 10 minute drive from here is the thermal waterfall. This was amazing ! It’s like getting into a bath. The rocks weren’t slippery and there are plenty of natural pools for people to relax in. All ages were able to enjoy this location and nobody wanted to leave !
Really good day. A lot of driving but worth it. The walking at the emerald and blue pool is allot. Worth wearing trainers but maybe pack some swim shoes as a bit rocky. Overall a good day, but be prepared for some walking.
Bass was an excellent tour guide and made sure I got back to my hotel safely - as I was the only one in the group doing a half day tour. Beautiful pools, hot springs were surprisingly refreshing despite the hot weather !
Tour is overpriced for what it is. Basically a taxi. Also it was 37° during a heatwave and we were not given water before going to the hot springs which was utterly dangerous. I had to basically beg for a bottle. I would have fainted there if I didn't get it. So be prepared that you need water. Nice pools. We didn't get fully guided through though and I did miss the crystal pool. Guide was lovely though. Did take photos of us but weren't automatically sent them. Weird that lunch was included for some people and some went to the tiger temple so we dropped them off there. Bit chaotic.
Took an hour to pick up the others - So 4.5 hours in the car total. Rushed in/out of each place. Could have taken a taxi to these locations, as guide didn't provide anything but a ride. Driving back, they dropped people off at atv and elephants, making the drive another 30 minutes longer. Not well organized. Go to these places, but don't take a tour.
We booked this tour expecting to trek a bit a bit more ‘off-piste’ through the rain forest. Essentially this wasn’t really a tour, as we were dropped at the 2 locations and had to pay the entrance fees to the parks. Then took a tourist path alone to the pools which were clearly signposted. We could e done exactly the same trip by taking a taxi and we could then have taken more time and paid a lot less money.
It was a nice experience walking through the tropical forest to see the different pools. Very crowded. The hot springs was nice too but again very crowded. I enjoyed it but wasn't the highlight of my trip. The travel company were very nice and efficient though
The place is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. However the operator offers no added value to the experience other than the transport. I have to say that they were well organised though. If you want an easy visiting process then it is worth booking this tour. However the downside is that you arrive at the spots at the same time as every other tour so they are packed. I would rather recommend booking a driver/taxi for a few hours and arrive at 9 am in the watersprings to avoid the crowds. Blue pool is very nice to see. I didn't even enter the emmerald pool given the amount of people there.
Apart from the beautiful places we visited, our guide was of extreme simpathy and very helpful. After 3 days in Krabi, our guide was the first to tell us more about Thai history and context. We recommend this tour as the lakes and landscape is great but also because the guide was great. the lunch was also simple but very tasty!
Our tour guide was amazing! She really took care if us, always smiling and polite to all the guests. She even helped us took pictures. I would definitely recommend this tour. The hot springs were great, and emerald pool is really refreshing after trekking through the jungle in the heat
We were collected on time and a good air conditioned minibus. The guide was friendly and helpful. The springs were smaller than anticipated and extremely slippery to enter but amazing. The spas were less crowded and beautiful too. The Emerald pool is stunning as is the blue pool, this was the best part of the trip and definitely worth seeing.
Staff were so patient and competent. Very clear and compassionate for the beginners. Trail is slightly challenging but they will guide you through well while finding the balance in letting you have autonomy. Most fun I had in Krabi. This is my second time.
We had a great time at the Emerald Pool and Hot Water springs. Though the spring wasn’t hot as expected due to rain the previous day. Had enough time to swim and also visit the Blue Pool. They also dropped us at the airport during return to Krabi.
Great tour and a must do in Krabi. Half day tour was an ideal length for ourselves. Have to extend our thank you to our tour guide who was helpful and welcoming on our trip.
The tour was amazing. Small group, a good tour guide and there was time for everything, dip in the hot springs, swim in the emerald pool and spend time at the beautiful blue pool. A pleasant 2 km walk in the jungle.
Was great fun. Apple our tour guide was so lovely and took pictures of us doing activities and gave lots of information. Absolutely scorching, the hot springs had shade however the emerald pool not so much. Wear sunscreen when walking to the blue pool a few uphill parts
Great experience at the pools and onsens! Definitely recommend for experience! Be sure to book the one with lunch provided!
Hot Spring Waterfall : The waterfall attraction gets rly crowded fast so be quick to find a spot and take photo. Emerald pool : The ground are slippery, qt a number of tourists fell when we were there. The time allocation for each attraction was just nice too.
Hot spring pool abit small so hard to find a good sport to relax. Can bring swimming equipment if you plan to swim. ...dont expect too much... overall is good trip to travel.
There was nothing terrible about this per se, but it wasn’t a tour. It’s transportation and facilitation. They pick you up and then other people. Then they take you to the places and tell you what time to be back. Then you’re on your own. No explanation of history, culture, etc. most of the time is spent driving and doing hotel pick up/drop offs so If you can afford to spring for a cab just do it yourself. Although not the fault of the operator- both locations are so crowded it’s hard to enjoy.
The emerald pool with the blue crystal water was really amaze us. The natural geysers are very crowded for a bath. The emerald pool is a great place to take a bath. The tour guide was really friendly and good spoken.
Informative and energetic tour guide. The tour guide is friendly, picked us up from hotel as scheduled (very punctual) , and we arrived earlier than other groups (less crowd). I liked how conducted the tour and had a genuine interest in conservation. we had so much fun! amazing experience.
The tour was very nice but the best was definitely the staff. Our guide Chao (hopefully remembering his name well) was the best. My friend felt bad and the whole team was attentive at all times, they behaved amazingly.
Very good excursion, we spent an extraordinary half day with family with young children. The guide was great.
So much walking for so little! So expensive pay for what there is to see! I was the only one who didn’t have a meal planned , I wanted to pay but the guide refused so I had to wait until the group finished eating to join them! The guide was really not nice! She made me change vans , not understanding English and her accent, the latter started screaming for no reason! It’s the suckest excursion I’ve ever taken! I strongly advise against it!
Well organized: shuttle pick-up from hotel and return as well. Quite surprised to see that during the half day the meal was not included. Ultimately, it's just a shared taxi that takes us to the waterfall sources and then 10 minutes to the emerald pool. The price for 4 is exorbitant knowing that you have to pay entrance to the parks in cash. I really regret not having left earlier by taxi which is 5 times cheaper than the bus. There is no real support or guided tour, we are left to our own devices between the parks and we have a strong constraint to do the timed visit. Fortunately the shuttle came to pick us up at the hotel (in Krabi) because otherwise it would have really been a big scam
Well organized with pick-up and times. Maybe I misunderstood, but I didn't experience a waterfall, just that we bathed in hot-tempered built-up spa baths. Nice day, with swimming and a bit of jungle, but no more than that. Don't have high expectations.
