Itinerary
During a short hike through the forest, you have the opportunity to explore an intact ecosystem. Sure you will be impressed by the unique ambience of the rainforest. The Emerald Pool or also called ‘Sa Morakot’ is a unique natural pond with a visually limpid blue color and wonderfully warm waters, making it a stunning spot for swimming in. An abundance of minerals from the surrounding limestone hills gives the pool its jade tone. Nearby the Emerald Pool you'll find the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful pool with deep aquamarine-blue water. But don’t be tempted to take a dip in the lovely looking blue water, because unlike in the Emerald Pool you can’t swim here at all! The bottom consists of quicksand and the water temperature varies between 30 and 50 degrees Celcius. After visit to the Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (approx. 1 hour - lunch is for own expenses). National Park fee THB 400 per person is not included and has to be paid cash.
Namtok Ron is located in a shady green forest area with numerous hot springs. The hot springs and cool streams converge on a slope to form lovely cascades of warm water. The water comes from volcanic chambers deep underground. Therefore the water always has a beneficial temperature of 35 to 42 degrees Celsius! You can relax in one of the many natural hollows in the creek and watch the water gently cascade into the cool pools. Hot Springs fee THB 200 per person is not included and has to be paid cash.
Set in a beautiful forest, Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) is one of the highlights in Krabi, for in addition to being a place of worship it is a famous meditation centre, and acts as a retreat for Buddhist monks and nuns from all over the world. You need to climb 1260 stairs to the top, with some of the stair risers being more than 30 cm high, so a degree of physical fitness is required to visit the temple. Once you make it to the top, you are rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding countryside with all the limestone cliffs and beautiful lush rain forest. The view is gorgeous enough to take away what remains of your breath!

We had an amazing day out with our guide and driver. Our driver was super safe and got us to all the attractions with plenty of time to see and appreciate each of the areas. Our guide gave us lots of information and took lots of pictures for us throughout the day. Highly recommend this trip!
We had Otto showing us around and he was marvellous. Our tour had nobody else so it was like a private tour. Otto also took lots of pictures and videos while we were out and sent them through to us so we had lots of the 2 of us. Highly recommend!
Both myself and my partner Emma had a fantastic day tour. We were lucky we had the hot springs all to ourselves. The tour was planned out really well and Otto our guide was fantastic. I would highly recommend
Very good experience and guide Otto is very good and cool
So much fun! Otto was amazing. Totally customized our day for us and is extremely knowledgeable. This was definitely a highlight of the trip! Thank you :)
Had a great experience with this tour. For all three stops we spent the perfect time in each. Otto was a great to us. Thank you staff.
Our guide got us to the locations early to beat the crowds and enjoy the sites. We had a great time experiencing the serene pools and the hot springs. The mountain views by thw temple were amazing! Thanks Otto!
Otto was amazing! He was so informative and gave us plenty of time at each stop. All the fees were included in the price, which made getting into each place quick and easy. He also took photos and videos of us along the way, so we could stay in the moment and enjoy the experience. Every destination took our breath away, and we had the most amazing time!
Very good, although very humid day and the hot pools was very hot.Emerald pools beautiful, neat and well worth visit.tour operators very good, informative and well trained.
We did our visit by ourselves, we didn't use any operator, we traveled with our own car. Emerald Pool is a gorgeous natural swimming hole and well worth a visit when you're in Krabi. The water isn't very deep, so most adults can comfortably stand with their feet on the bottom. To get there, it’s about a 1.1 km walk through the forest from the main entrance. The trail is paved and well-maintained, making for an easy, pleasant stroll. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a fantastic place to cool off in nature. I highly recommend stopping by if you're traveling through Krabi! If you liked my review, give me a like 👍🏻
Amazing experience. The tour guide Otto was very friendly and clear. The locations were lovely, and there was even time to stop for lunch. All the timings were perfect. I would recommend to anyone in Krabi!
Tukky is a very nice guide. She answered all our questions without hesitation. We took this trip in the rainy season, so there weren't a lot of people. We enjoyed the hot springs, these where 38° and very beautifull. The emerald pool is also really nice to swim. The blue pool is beatifull ( your not allowed to swim). Afterwards we went to tigertemple wich was impressive. The stairs are 1260 steps and my t-shirt was soaking wet with sweat... Beware of the monkeys at the top, don't wear a backpack or wear it on your belly. They will snatch it and you loose everything.
Tukki was amazing. Spoke good English. Car was smooth and AC was great she knew the perfect time to take us
The price I paid for this trip was worth it. The guide Tokky was very good and sweet
Well what a day the hot springs were lovely and HOT then on to the emerald pool you must wallk to the blue pool. Lots of people on our tour didn’t and wished they had then on to tiger cave omg the walk to the top took us 44 minutes up and 25 minutes down but we are 62 and 63 years old but dare I say a little fit. The tiger cave was very spectacular a must visit we done it with get your guide
Tour guide was fine, and destinations were good, but the tour is 9 hours not 6 as advertised. The budda is at the top of a mountain 1260 steps, and it's no easy task, bring sneakers, im in good shape and took many breaks, this tour is not for obese people. Hot waterfall springs was the best, stop 2 , buffet was just ok, but it was cheap, 150 baht, bring at least 2k baht for 2 people
Only two participants and the guide was quite passive It’s nice to go to these sights but I think timing couldn’t better planned eg climbing tiger cave mountain is a bad idea in the early afternoon when hot
Amazing excursion to Emerald Pool, Hot Springs, and Tiger Cave Temple. Easy and on time pick up at the hotel. There were only 4 of us. 20 min drive to the first stop. Nice clean minivan with good AC. The hike to the Emerald Pool was beautiful and gratefully shady. Swimming in the clear water of the Blue Pool was heavenly refreshing. Quck lunch and 10 min drive to the Hot Springs. Interesting area, but it was too hot to get into the pools The Tiger Temple is gorgeous. There are 1160 stair steps to get to the top from Tiger Cave Temple. It's a long way up, but the view was worth it. Pouring rain saved us from being overheated. Highly recommend.
The tour was amazing! However I do wish we completed our tour in the opposite order. The water was amazing and the climb was hard but totally worth it!
I wish the tour was done in opposite order, but it was a fantastic view. Bring water shoes because there are a lot of rocks!
Otto was the sweetest tour guide! He planned the day perfectly and we ended up beating a lot of the crowds because of how the tour was timed. Definitely required lots of physical effort but so worth it.
My husband and I had an amazing experience with Otto today!! We saw so much including the blue pool, emerald pool, hot springs, hiking through the forest and finishing up at the Tiger Cave temple! Otto did a wonderful job catering to all of us and making sure we were happy, safe and taken care of with VIP treatment!! Highly recommend!! Thank you Otto! 🙏🏻
We had the most incredible day with Otto visiting the Emerald Pools Hot Springs and Tiger Cave Temple, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better guide! From start to finish, Otto was absolutely amazing. It was just the two of us on the tour, and he treated us like queens the entire time. He made everything feel relaxed, personal, and special. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and so attentive — always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. The Emerald Pools were beautiful and so refreshing, and visiting Tiger Cave Temple was an unforgettable experience. Otto shared great insights, helped us take photos, and made the whole day seamless and fun. If you’re thinking about booking a tour, don’t hesitate — Otto is the best! Thank you for such a perfect day we’ll always remember. 💛
Perfect! Everything was on point and well organized. Also the food at the buffet was so good for the price. Thanks Otto, you are the best!
We had a great day out with Otto, such a nice person. He brought us to the blue pool and springs right in time before they got crowded. He used to work at the pool so he knew all the trees that had a resident snake which was cool to see. The tiger cave was amazing, and felt so good making the stairs it's a work out but worth it for the view, and they have a filtered water tap at the top to refill your bottles , coming down is easier. Monkeys we fine along the way didn't bother us. Highly recommend this trip it's a great day out and great value for money. Thanks for a great day out Otto.
It’s a tough decision to make when you arrive, the stairs or the caves. We split up and both of us had a great time and stunning views.
Emerald pool/hot springs/dragon cave tour was good with this operator, Wonder Siam. All the attractions are nice, however crowded and very busy. Wear a bathing suit with hiking water sandals like Keens. (not flipflops). The dragon cave is a tough climb to the top of a mountain about 1260 steps, some stair risers are 14in high. If you are in decent shape it is doable. And worth the work for the view. Up and down with rests and viewing took me about 1hr 30min. A critique on the operator: they said pickup at McDonald's in Ao nang. However, there are 2 McDonald's in Ao nang and never gave clear definition as to which one. You want to go to the one on the beach directly infront of the ocean. I figured it out by googling, but other people went to the wrong McDonald's. The guide said it happens almost every day. They need better English skills and clarify this in the briefing.
Lovely trip hot springs so nice and emerald pool and temples beautiful and tour guide excellent
Had the best day out with our tour guide Tukey. She was amazing. She was very knowledgable and a great guide. I would highly recommend.
Tukky was a great tour guide, very kind & good english. Would do again! Lots to do and see, and you can hang out on the side when you’re done. Great!
It was hard to follow our guide Otto’s english. He couldn’t explain very well to our questions. Timetable that is shown in the app was not accurate. It felt like most activities were in a rush. But the car was very nice and comfortable and it was a smooth ride.
Otto was kind and a great guide. We skipped the cave- our entire group didn’t want to climb 1200 steps
Overall it was a nice day. Every spot felt just a little rushed. The emerald lake and hot springs were very nice to swim and relax. The hike to the temple was tough but the views were worth the climb. There are monkeys along the hike. They were aggressive and one bit my husband (unprovoked). Had to get a rabies shot and medicine. Very expensive!! If you go don’t take anything on the hike not even a water bottle. The monkeys were attacking people with a backpack or water bottle in hand.
Great experience, timed all the sites well and avoided the really busy moments with more of a crowd, fun day out, Otta was a great guide and gave important information and guidance.
Otto was fantastic! By starting early, he made sure we could enjoy all the highlights without large crowds. Everything was well organized, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
Amazing day at all 3 venues. Highlight was the Hot Springs! Our guide, Tookey was really friendly and knowledgeable. She was helpful and made it a great day for us. We had enough time at each place and the timings were perfect as we missed the crowds. The climb up Tiger Caves was tough but with a slow steady pace and with lots of rest breaks the view from the top were breathtaking. Overall, Tookey made sure we got the most from the day with some memorable moments we will treasure!
Excellent experience! Mr. Oddio was very kind and patient. They were very punctual in picking me up, the vehicle was very comfortable, and the driver was very friendly. They made my trips to these beautiful places the best. 1000% recommended!
It wasn't made clear which McDonalds was the meet point and caused a lot of confusion. Our transport had been damaged and we had a warning bleep continuously bleeping. Our guide we were told was in hospital and the stand in guide was very off when asked about the bleeping. The guide then fell asleep until we reached the first destination and his mood improved. His knowledge was limited with interesting facts. We departed for the the hot springs and we told our guide would protect our valuables whilst we enjoyed the hot pools. Upon return the guide needed to be woken from his sleep. The final stop at the Tiger Temple was nice but 2 hours allocated because those wanting it able to walk up the thousand plus steps to the view point. It was too long a stop if you were just viewing the Temple and surrounding grounds. I appreciate the guide was a last minute stand in and might have had a late night but no real facts were provided, the annoyance of the continuous bleep was an irritation. Having said all that we still enjoyed the day but could have been a lot better.
We had the best time with AD! His energy was infectious and he knew so much with many tips on how to get the best experience at each place. The way they’ve organised - hot springs, emerald pool, tiger temple is perfect as we just missed the crowds at each one. AD, thank you so much again for such a memorable day!!
Very planned out and enjoyable. Loved the experience. Tsusi (sorry not sure on spelling) was a fun tour guide. The Emerald Pool was beautiful. Be aware the Tiger Cave steps are really hard work getting up.
The trip experience was good although pick up was badly organised. We were told 8 am but not picked up until 45 minutes later. The springs were wonderful. Would have liked more information on the history of the Temple
Otto was a great tour guide and did his best even though he was sick. The itinerary was good, but we would've liked more time at the Tiger Cave Temple, it took us 50 minutes to get up the stairs so we could only look around for 10 before heading back down.
We really enjoyed this trip. Otto our guide was informative and friendly. The Emerald pool was so nice to get into after our walk. The hot springs were very hot 35 degrees but lovely. The Tiger caves are well worth seeing even if like us you cannot do the 1200 or so steps up.
This tour was amazing! We had the BEST guide Jimmy who was so kind & had such a fun energy. He knew the secrets to beating the crowds & kept us laughing. Due to the rain we couldn’t see the Tiger Temple but the Emerald Pool & Hot springs were unforgettable! Must do if you’re in Krabi :)
We had such a wonderful day with Otto on our Emerald Pool, Hot Spring, and Tiger Cave Temple tour. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He also took pictures and videos of our family which made it a really unforgettable experience. Highly recommend booking with Wander Siam and asking for Otto!
Timmy was so helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. She even took pictures for us so that we got some really nice shots. The tour was well organized, the lunch was tasty, and the views were beautiful. My friends and I had a wonderful experience. And our driver Mr. Lee was also very nice. I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone.
Awesome tour guide (Mr. Otto was mine). The places you see are pretty incredible. Everything was smooth from pickup to drop off and the guide was very communicative beforehand with questions I had. 100% recommend.
Otto from wandersiam was a great tour guide, and made sure we were the first group in every spot we went to, he was enthusiastic and took pictures of us often.
Timm is an excellent tour guide who speaks great English. She took all the time we needed at each stop. We visited the Emerald and Blue Pools (hot springs), ate local Thai food for lunch and the last stop was the Tiger Temple with 1,260 steps! Such an amazing day. Don’t hesitate booking this tour. we messaged via What’s App for details on meeting time and location.
