Wow this was such a great way to experience Railay beach! Pick up and gear rental was included, and the staff was professional and friendly. They would tailor the routes to your skill level and point to holds if needed. Morning routes were at Phra Nang beach by Princess Cave. During a lunch break you were set free to enjoy Railay walking street while the guide went back to Ao Nang to drop off and pick up for any half-day tours. Afternoon was climbing at South-East Railay beach, then a short hike to bat cave. Caving was pretty easy, but fun with stunning views. At the top, we rappelled and returned by longtail boat back to Ao Nang. I would absolutely recommend this tour and company to others!

This mid 40-year old had an amazing time rock climbing (and caving) on Railay Beach. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide - Faruk, Thanks for such a cool experience!!
What a great experience this day was! The guys from real rock climbing could teach me a lot about rock climbing, and they are great guys to hang out with too! Highly recommended
We did the tour with climbing then hiking to a cave and rappelling out of cave. This was perfect for us not being avid climbers.
Amazing experience! Better than I expected. Guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Great for all experience levels. I will do this again
We LOVED this whole day! Wow! This was our first time outdoor climbing (we top rope and boulder indoor). This is a must-do if you enjoy climbing and beautiful sights. The crew was friendly, supportive, attentive, and fun! They use a laser pointer to help you with the next moves (instead of shouting up to you, because that gets confusing when other climbers are there). We did about 5-6 routes (half in the am, half in the pm), went through an awesome cave and repelled down a cliff, and ate a delicious lunch close-by in the middle of the day. The boat ride to and from the park was also wonderful. Highly, highly recommend. Also make sure to look at the top when you get there! Even if it’s scary! Tip: The company keeps folks in the shade, and so sunscreen was actually unhelpful because it made us slippery and so we wiped it off!
Fantastic full day experience with a fabulous guide, Faros (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) Fantastic climbing with great guides who were keen to teach and help us out with laser pointers when we couldn't see a hold! We did a few climbs with a bigger group in the morning, then went caving for an hour or two before having lunch, and another couple of hours climbing in the afternoon. We climbed a range of routes from 5+ to 6b. There were complete beginners in the group who have a fab time. We felt safe and fully taken care of as two indoor boulderers who have minimal experience on ropes and real rock! We enjoyed it so much that we've booked another half day in a few days time!
We went as first-time outdoor climbers, with a little indoor gym experience. The instructors were very good, and provided relevant instructions and advice at a professional level. Routes were around 5a-6a, and I think the instructors could tell if you were up to the difficulty or not. My instructor apparently tried to push more climbs out of us so we were almost dead tired at the end of the day. The caving tour was surprisingly not as easy as expected as there were some steep elements you are hauling your equipment at the same time. If you are intending to bring your own climbing equipment, do tell the instructors so you don’t end up bringing multiple sets of equipment along for the hike. All in all, the experience was very enjoyable and it is a good way to experience outdoor climbing as a first-timer, and the Railay climbing atmosphere was great. It is wonderful to be able to see the breathtaking sea view when you top the routes!
It was a perfect day. We booked the whole day. And we got maximum, we could. Despite the fact, that lunch break was 2 hours instead of 1, we even finished our day earlier. Because to 4 pm we were done. The routes were super, different lengths, different difficulty, different places. Also were good covered from the rain. And we got personal instructor for us two. It was very- very good.
This was an absolutely phenomenal experience. Paul was so knowledgeable, strong and friendly and knows his way around climbing. My friends and I are moderately experienced climbers and we had such a great time!
Real rocks did a great job. They helped us arrange transportation. The instructors were fun and helpful. The climbing spots were beautiful and well suited for people who have done a little bit of climbing. The caving was a great way to finish the day. It’s more of an advanced beginner type trip - if you have never climbed before in your life it might be more of a challenge than advertised. We have climbed a handful of times in our life (indoor and outdoor) and it was a great challenge but not so difficult that we were discouraged. FYI, if you do the full day, lunch is not included, but you get about 2 hours to go into the town to explore and eat. There are many restaurants to choose from and dishes are very cheap. Also, consider bringing a bathing suit if you want to enjoy the beach between climbs or after.
As a first time climber, who is unfit, this was a little beyond my capabilities... Though the instructor sha and the entire team were very supportive and helpful for me to complete the climb. I would recommend this for fit people and for people who have done atleast indoor climbs before with ease. But overall, this was super fun!
Amazing tour and would definitely recommend to anyone physically fit! The guides were knowledgeable and nice, and the equipment was in good shape. We started off with some easier climbs on the beach. It was quite busy there and had to wait a while for our turn, but in the end we got to do as much climbing as we wanted. After lunch there was more climbing in more difficult spots. Then we did the caving tour, the views were absolutely amazing on this one. We finished off with a one more difficult climb with a great view as the reward. I would not recommend this tour for small children or anyone physically unfit. You should definitely hit the gym before coming here!
The best tripadvisor thing I've ever done. Had a great full day experience with instructor Fon who was a real pro. Even do it was raining Fon found nice spots. Will definitely come back if I travel Krabi!
The experience was truly amazing. Ip was our private guide for a full day tour, and he took us to a variety of climbs. My husband and I are intermediate climbers to start, so wanted to try different kind of climbs including easy ones and challenging routes. Ip didn't disappoint and gave us just the right amount of challenge between reasonable breaks. By mid day, my husband and I already felt like we had a great time. Little did we know, the afternoon was even better. Would highly recommend this company and ask for Ip if you can, as a tour guide.
We did the full day of rock climbing and we definitely recommend it. The morning just gets you comfortable with rock climbing and in the afternoon, you can really get in to it with a new area to climb. Chad and Phon were awesome! They were great and patient instructors. They took the time to teach us and help us improve our skills.
Highly recommend! Where other tour groups had 20-25 individuals, we were the only ones on our tour for the day. Our guide was personable, friendly, and easy going. We got to climb routes with a variety of difficulty levels with beautiful views at the top! Great food, beaches, and a cave to see with the all day excursion! Great experience trying something new in Thailand!
I did the full day course and was with a group of 7 with 2 tour guides in the morning. We were at Phrao Nang Beach for the morning and got to climb often, you need the rests in between while other climbers climb. In the afternoon I was the only climber doing the full day course with a guide, we were on railay east and got to ask and say where and what I wanted to climb and the guide (Chad) gave me good tips and helped - all round, really good learning and climbing with insane views!!!
Was an amazing day! I felt during the whole climbing very safe with the instructors and they were really nice. Also the cave tour afterwards was really adventurous and fun. Very recommendable :)
Amazing experience! Super cool guides. We climbed at a more populated spot in the morning, then broke off from the bigger group to go caving and abseiling which were awesome. Then met back up after lunch for some climbing in a more remote spot.
The guides that accompany are excellent. They add to the experience. As for the climbing, it was a once in a lifetime feel. It is super fun and also beginner friendly.
Fantastic full day climbing and abseiling experience. Teenage sons loved it. The guide made it fun and completely safe. Look forward to coming back in the future
Amazing day trip! My first time rock-climbing outside and instructor lovely, helpful and great at guiding you up the rock formations. 3in1 trip as we rock-climbed, explored bat cave and abseiled, which all included insane views!
Awesome experience. Guides are extremely friendly and helpful. Great way to see Railay beach. My guide Por went above and beyond to find routes suitable for my level.
Amazing experience! I was slightly worried at first because of my fear of heights, but my instructor was very encouraging and he made me feel like I was in safe hands. My friend who never had any experience with climbing prior to this program said that she also enjoyed it very much. Caving in the afternoon was also much better than I expected. The view was simply breathtaking. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who's traveling in Krabi. Can't wait till I come back here myself:))
It’s the perfect day trip. Should definitely book a whole day including the caving.. it’s worth seeing. Staff is very professional and friendly Aswell. One of my best experiences in Thailand!
Amazing day. Rock climbing was awesome and such incredible location. They looked after and ensured it was safe. The hike and trio via bat cave was excellent with incredible photo opportunities and then abseiling down was amazing. I recommend the full day. It was exhilarating and exhausting but well worth it!
The trip was incredibly fun and the booking process was easy as the owner was kind, helpful and responded quickly. We started by climbing some relatively easy routes to help us warm up and then proceeded to Phang An beach where we continued to climb immersed in an incredibly beautiful setting. Po, our guide, was highly professional and helpful. After climbing, we then proceeded to Railay viewpoint where we rappelled down to west Railay beach. The views were easily the best I have seen in Krabi. *Quick side note: our driver Rain was very friendly and took us to get some Roti after our long and lightly strenuous day. Highly recommended!!
I have never climbed in such an exciting background! We loved it so much that we came back the very next day, same tour same place same time. Tom was a wonderful guide a took us through a variety of easy going and challenging routes. Can’t recommend this place enough!
This was my 2nd tour with Real Rocks. Took the Full Day Rock Climbing And Caving Tours. Searched them on Facebook. Messaged them (during their business hours of course) to ask on something and they responded real quick! This allowed me to plan my things more easily. Confirmed with them my tour dates and personal details. On the tour day itself, the driver picked me at my hotel within the agreed time and ferried us to Real Rocks shop to register and get our climbing gears. Was introduced to my instructor for the day- Rain, a very easy-going guy with much patience in guiding newbies to rock climbing. Tested my harness, climbing shoe & helmet. They then sent us to the Ao Nam Mao pier to catch a long tail boat to Railay Beach where the rock climbing activity will take place. As part of Real Rocks quality service, each instructor only take a max of 4 students at a time. As a start, Rain showed & taught us on how to belay. After which we put on our gears and started climbing. Rain allowed us to try our skills on 4 different rocks (easy to super hardcore). Obviously none of the students succeeded in climbing the super hardcore rock. As lunch, we were given some cash to have lunch at one of the many restaurants in Railay. We soon meet back at the agreed time & place for the next activity- Caving. Walked for about 1km on the hot sandy beach before ascending the mountain (trekking). This tracking was easy. But next was the tough part. Had to climb some steep bamboo ladders and rocks. But the reward was worth it- This is what the renowned Railay Viewpoint is all about. Breathtaking panoramic views to the beach below. After having a good view, it was time to abseil down. Rain taught us the proper way to abseil down, and ensured each of us can do it before letting us down the cliff. He secured all the necessary points on the rock as well as on our harness, and then slowly and carefully, each of the students were guided to rappel down the cliff. And yeah, we all made it safely. We then descended the hill through the forest (some light trekking) before reaching back at one of the Railay Beaches. Walked back to our starting point, got some drinks to quench the thirst while waiting for other climbers to finish their activity. Once everybody were done, we took the boat back to Ao Nam Mao pier, and then to Real Rocks shop, and finally sending us back to our respective accommodation. Overall, I am very satisfied with the full day tour given by Real Rocks and will highly recommend them to anyone who wants to try out rock climbing & caving. Real Rocks can be reached by facebook or their official web page as well. Oh, not to mention, it was worth the money too.
Did the beginner full day rock climbing and caving tour. Had a blast, worked me out hardcore. Would def go again.
This tour was amazing! Absolutely worth the money. Our guides were fantastic, very knowledgable and funny. This was my first outdoor climbing experience, the guides provided routes to help you learn and routes that challenged even the experienced outdoor climbers. Climbing through the cave was a perfect way to end the day. I would suggest this for anyone near Ralaiy Beach.
This really was one of the best climbing tours ive been on. The instructors (Yod & Matt) were fantastic guides. Both helpful, funny, motivating and got things done without wasting time. Meaning we were able to get alot of climbing done. Me and my Girlfriend did the full day experience so we were taken to a great place for food and then taken to railey beach. After that, Yod took us through the cave were we abseiled down the other side which was another Surreal experience. Would recommend Real rocks climbing over and over again. Thank you all so much for such an amazing day.
I booked a half day climb and half day cave tour. It ended up raining over lunch time making the caves difficult and not as safe to access. Our guide gave the two of us who booked the full day the opportunity to continue climbing!! I in particular was very happy with this as a half day climbing was not enough for me. I had indoor rock climbed a few times before but climbing at Railay made me fall in love with the sport. My guide gave me a quick refresher to belay and I was ready to go. He was very professional and would provide verbal assistance as needed for the climb, but also would let me figure out the best route to go on my own as this is part of the fun! I have a new passion for the sport of rock climbing thanks to Real Rocks!
Booked the full day climbing experience and loved it! We’ve had experience with indoor climbing but never outdoor top rope climbing so this was a real treat that was both fun and challenging. We had a group of three in the morning and then it was just the two of us for the afternoon. Truly appreciated the tips and tricks we gained from the experience. Looking forward to more Railay climbing in the future! And make sure to bring lots of water!
What a great day! Never climbed before only in the gym but felt in safe hands throughout, climbed some amazing cliffs and the views were breathtaking! The staff spoke great english and a good laugh, would definitely use this company again.
Our son did the full day beginner class and even if the other 2 booked on the same day got sick, he was given a private guide/instructor for the day. He did not do the full program due to his age and I guess due to the missing adults on the day activity. Never the less he was well entertained the whole day with a very nice instructor and did 2 times 30 meters. A big smile on his face when he came home.. Recommend highly..
Four beginners set out with Jammy having never rock climbed before and by the end of the day he had managed to get all of us climbing and absailing despite our protests and fears! We really enjoyed our day out. The scenery, staff and equipment are all top notch. Jammy was an excellent guide and really added to our day. Thank you to all at Real Rocks for a brilliant day out! :)
Did the full day of rock climbing and caving. Was an exhausting but fun day. The guys are very passionate about what they do, and safety is their number 1 concern (which i really appreciated because it was my first time climbing anything EVER). Highly recommend you give it a shot!
A must do in Krabi! My first time rock climbing, was super nervous but managed to get almost to the top! Big thanks to our guide Neil who we ended up doing a private caving tour with him later that afternoon :)
Had a full day rock climbing with the team and fellow travellers. Really great experiences ! Unforgettable ! The team was really easy going, friendly & our safety is their top priority. Will definitely come back to Real Rock Climbing in the future ! =D
It was great! Everyone new to climbing should try it and if you hate it just stay and enjoy the amazing beaches nearby! Literally the coolest beach I've been to in my life is right nearby (west railway I think, where the caves with the religious offerings are). If you're somewhat experienced you'll have a total blast. I've been climbing in gyms for 2-3 years and have been outside a few times. Then did two days lead climbing with a friend and a guide around the Krabi / railway beach general area. Went in early June which is rainy season and it was totally fine. It seems to rain really hard once and a while for up to two hours and then the rest of the day is good. We had one day only a brief shower day 1, pouring rain in morning then cloudy (went kayaking instead) day 2, then a beautiful sunny day all day day 3. However new or experienced if you are flexible with route choice the guides know what areas won't get wet. They have an amazing section of easy to hard climbs all under an epic overhang 40 meters up that stay dry. The lead climbing and instruction were great. We learned how to set up top ropes after leading routes and how to rappel. It's such an amazing place it's hard to describe. If you are experienced ask them to take you to a few different areas to lead and definitely check out the cave you rappel out of. It was insanely cool.
Of my 5 days in Krabi, this was my favourite! Everyone at Real Rocks is friendly and welcoming, whether or not they are your guides. My team and I also appreciate our guides, Jammy & Po, for being very patient and encouraging towards us throughout the tour. They were very fun to be around and we felt safe with their knowledge & experience. It is not easy to manage a group of 5 but both Jammy & Po gave us all a memorable experience. Will definitely climb with Real Rocks again, someday. Thank you so much for the adventurous experience!
Hi! Firstly, taking this package is seriously one of the best attraction that I will never regret. It's packed with many activities that will just make you awestruck from the start till the end. The majestic view of the scenery cannot be simply described by words. If you really want to have a taste of how it feels like; do book this attraction without any hesitations :D The staff Jammy and Po at Real Rocks is amiable. They are easy to approach and is equipped with both knowledge and skills to make our climbing experience a better one. The interaction and funny antics which they display never fails to amuse us too. Also, the transition of the whole programme was delivered well too. This include getting the right size of harness, shoe size etc. The instructions was also fluent and they are attentive to the safety of the participants as well. In a nutshell, everything is great and fun! FYI: Climbing visit is dated on 19th Apr 2018.
I spent over a week climbing full days with Real Rocks and their instructor Tom. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. I kept requesting Tom as my instructor for the week because of the good first impression - super laid back, friendly and very knowledgeable. I was a repeat customer because of the experience. Highly recommended for all skill levels! There were people of all abilities, and they accommodated everyone. Definitely check out the climbing day with the cave - Indian Jones kinda experience!!

This was definitely one for thrillseekers but is way harder than it actually looks. Harness and equipment is provided which is great, but be prepared to constantly change shoes when moving from one set of rocks to the other as the rockclimbing shoes are not made for regular sand. There were many groups out at the same time us as and it was very busy, so as a result we were told to start on a hard one. For a beginner, this was ALOT to ask for! Eventually we moved on and had lunch, followed by a trek to the caves - this included alot of uphill walking over rocks and stones - comfy shoes advised! The views from the top are amazing though and definitely worth the walk. We were dropped back to Aonang beach where we were staying after the experience. We cut the initial booked one day to half a day as it definitely is exhausting. Worth a try for sure though when in Krabi!

If you do one thing, do this! Having not climbed before, I was a little hesistant at booking the full days climbing tour, however it was the best decision I could have made. Our morning was spent as part of a smaller group climbing the beautiful yet crowded rocks of Railey beach where we were taken through the basics including all safety procedures. Once I had done a couple of routes our guide Tom told us we would now be breaking off from the group to get away from the tourists (welcome news as the crowds were getting bigger by the minute!) The two of us were then taken to the most peaceful and serene climbing spots in Railay, where we were given one to one tuition all day which saw me complete routes I never thought possible- being rewarded with the best views in Krabi. After lunch we were taken on a route which included cave climbing, jungle trekking and abseilling as Tom kept us going with great tunes, ice water and brilliant chat! Tom's knowledge, enthusiasm and passion, as well as the most incredible scenery I have ever come across, made this a day I will never forget- thank you so much!
We had a lovely day, climbing in the morning with several on the beach. In the afternoon we were alone with the guide and could freely decide whether we wanted to continue climbing or instead walk to a cave and abseil. We were climbing again, it was a lot of fun but was also exhausting.
Morning climbing, afternoon hiking in a cave and some climbing so as to exhaust his last forces. Beginner/Beginner Level +
