Mete was an amazing communicator, very helpful and friendly. Our tour guide Fatima was very pleasant and knowledgeable, she offered us a very unique experience. Our drivers were kind and on time. Definetly recommended for anyone looking for a one of a kind trip in Konya.

Selene travel were easy to book with and arrange our meeting place and pick up. Our guide Gokselwas great. Showed us and explained all the interesting points in the Mevlana Centre and gave us an understanding of Mevlana, Sufism and the Dervish traditions. Great Etmieklek lunch at a local restaurant and a wonderful tour of the market with lots of really good local food tastes to try. City tour of historic sites and museums and a trip to the lovely village of Sille. We had a great time with Goksel. Interesting insights and conversations. Really excellent.

It was a great rxperience, the tour guide Huseyin was amazing, very knowledgeable, kind and patience. The experience ended up as 2 friends. I'm very happy because of the explanation of Rumi's live and city history.

We had a great day with our guide, taking us first to Sille, explain all the history very nice. The lady at the priest house insit we sit for a free glass of tea - how special! We saw all the best of Konja by walking in the old town and the history and stories of these places were shared with us Had a very nice traditional lunch as well!

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It was thoughtfully curated, deeply informative, and filled with eight full hours of history, Sufism, and stories—exactly what I needed, and more. A big shout-out to my remarkable guide, Hüseyin: a kind and warm soul with knowledge, integrity, and what sounds like a very exciting career in his former life! He also made sure I was safely dropped off at the bus station before we parted ways. It was a great pleasure getting to know him as a person, and I truly appreciated the knowledge and wisdom he brought to the trip. Highly recommend.

My experience exceeded my expectations The guides were sophisticated in their knowledge, meticulously planned and quite flexible to accomodate my changing preferences This turned out to be a personal tour from getting picked up at the airport, the guided tour of Konya (as a Rumi fan it was a very important trip) The staff was very fluent in English, had scholarship of the area to keep my interest and genuinely friendly (I count them as friends now). They made sure my next stops to Catalhoyuk and Cappadocia were lined up and coordinated. Special shout out to Fatma, Mete and Fatih for making the trip so perfect

I booked a flight from Istanbul to Konya and back for a 1 day tour. This tour was the BEST! Driver picked us up from airport when our flight landed at 8:30 am and then catered entire tour for us for the whole day in excellent large vans with drivers and knowledgeable tour guide. After a full day they dropped us off at airport for our 7 pm flight. They were so flexible and we spent the whole day touring all the great sites in Konya all in one day! We were a family of 5 with kids and mom age 70. We started off with historical Greek sites, then Rumi’s tomb and ended with some amazing mosques and museums! The driver was so helpful for our mom and dropped us off as close as possible to sites. The tour also included a fabulous lunch at an amazing authentic restaurant with the best food we had in all of Turkey. Everything was perfect and they made the tour comfortable, easy, accommodating for all of us and if we wanted to stay at a place longer they catered everything for us! Really the best service all around! 10/10!

My visit to Konya was fulfillment of a spiritual journey to renew my devotion to Mevlana Rumi. I was most fortunate to have Fatma Horzum as my tour guide and teacher. Her fluency in English ( she teaches English at a rural school) was a great asset. But more importantly was her profound knowledge of Anatolian history and the Sufi traditions embodied in Rumi's teachings. Her guidance throughout the tour ( I had only one day in Konya) was calm, respectful and paced to my senior needs . Fatma and her tour company are highly recommended to deliver a tour that is tailored to your requirements and needs. There is no commercial angle such as contrived visits to specific shops, restaurants etc. I return home with very find and dear memories of Konya . And I hope I have another opportunity to visit Konya with my family and spend more time with Fatma as our tour guide.

Everything was well organized. Guide (Fatma) was very good and nice. We visited several places: Mevlana museum, mosque, bazaar. Dervish dancers was quite an experience.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting what this tour offered me at the end: fantastic service, friendliness, and the most experienced and knowledgeable guide who took me around the places listed but also accommodated my interests. I was taken to an excellent lokanta across Mevlana Meydan, where I had a magnificent lunch. Everywhere we went, I was greeted warmly and sincerely. Turkish hospitality at its best.

My experience with Huseyn sir was amazing. Though I had about 5.5 hours only, he managed time well without rushing. From smooth pick up from the station to in-depth explanation of each thing, it was all worth the money.

We were picked up from the airport by Mr. Mete and his brand new luxury car and driven to a very cozy cafe for tea before the exciting adventure of Konya. Fatma was a gracious host as she took us to all parts of Konya . I was surprised there Was so much to see., From all the beautiful mosques to learning about the Whirling dervishes and all about Rumi. My tour, The highlights of Koyna, was amazing. My guide, Hayri, Was so knowledgeable about each site he took me to and even taylored the tour to some of my own Interests! Mete organised Fatima to take us around Konya. She was impressive with her knowledge on several subjects and historical aspects of Konya. The restaurant she took us to for lunch was amazing. Fatima is a fantastic tour guide. She took us to see all the museums, resting places of Rumi and Shams Tabrezi. Alladin mosque was great to see as well. Lunch at the restaurant was delicious. This is a must tour for Konya visitors.

Mete arranged a wonderful guide named Hayri. Hayri grew up with the kids of American personnel on a US military base in Turkey and knew English very well as a result. I was traveling with my girlfriends and we booked this 7 hour tour as a way to see Konya and understand a bit more about the Sufi religion and history. It was well worth it and provided context and background information. Mete was professional in handling our tour and in his communications. Since our tour was on a Monday there were several sites that were closed so he provided alternative stops for us to review ahead of time which was helpful to our group of 3 and the added stops did not disappoint. Our guide Yunus was informative and interesting throughout the trip. We walked from site to site and he explained in detail the history of the Sufi's, Konya and Turkish life. The Mevlana Muzesi was stunning and we enjoyed it immensely. The Karatay Medresesi Museum was also an amazing place with so much information. We were parched by that point and Yunus kindly bought us water. One of the added on places was the Konyanuma Panorama Museum which was filled with paintings depicting Rumi's life and journey from Iran to Konya. It was well done and contained a lot of information and we highly recommend it to added to the regular tour. Another added on site for us was the Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Taş Bina... formerly a girls teacher training school, it is now a digital experience and cultural arts center. The center delved into the history of Konya and was fascinating and well done.. again it should be part of the regular tour! We truly enjoyed our day walking with Yunus and Mete's skillful driving to our meeting point and to the village of Sille. Highly recommend this tour!!

The driver & guide Hüseyin TIKIZ was excellent and very nice person. He explained a lot about Turkey, especially Konya & it’s history. The lunch was also very good. This package was worth my money.

The tour was excellent. The guide was knowledgeable and very cooperative. I went with my parents who are 65+ and 75+ and my daughter who is 9. They were very understanding and patient and designed the whole tour keeping our comfort in mind. The lunch place was excellent as well. Overall, I had a very good experience and recommend them to anyone who is interested in touring Konya.

Mete Horzum and Selene Travel do an excellent job and I highly recommend scheduling a tour with them if you plan to visit the blessed city of Konya. We did the “Highlights of Konya” tour. Because we have small children and due to unforeseen travel issues, we had to make last minute adjustments to our tour, but Mete and his team were extremely accommodating. We also made special requests as needed to accommodate our schedule. Selene Travel tour guides have a long history with the city of Konya and have an incredible amount of knowledge of Mevlana Rumi. If you gave an interest in learning about Mevlana Rumi and the history of Konya, Selene Travel will not disappoint. Also, some tips for tourists who are also visiting Istanbul during your travels to Türkiye — I would recommend shopping in Konya instead. Konya has some incredible shops run by local artisans. Also, general shopping for clothing, gifts, etc. is much better priced in Konya. Selene Travel can provide some recommendations if needed.

A long, long time ago, I majored in Near Eastern studies, so I am familiar with Arabic, Persian, and Turkish, as well as with Turkish history. Perhaps because it's still early in the "season" (7 May), it was a 2-person walking tour, so it was very personalized. Our guide, Fatima, was knowledgeable, filled in some gaps in my knowledge, and most importantly, improvised the tour based on my interests and questions. Perhaps the highlight was the tomb of Rumi's mentor, Şems-i Tebrîzî. I am neither religious, nor a Sufi, but this a very useful tour, well worth the cost for 2 people. Selene Travel is run by Mete Horzum, who is a real, live Mevlevi dervish. We didn't get to meet Mete, but he was very helpful in the days leading up to our tour. The weather forecast was iffy, and he reassured me that the forecast for 7 May was pretty good. It was; we had only a few minutes of showers during a 7-hour walking tour. Excellent value. Exploring on our own would not have been nearly as productive.

I can’t recommend this tour enough. I came to Konya as a single woman and was made so comfortable by everyone at Selena travel company. Hatice was my guide and made every moment of the tour special for me, whether that was showing me small details related to Rumi’s life and influence to giving personal anecdotes from her own very beautiful life story. I felt she had my best interest at heart and was careful to ask if I wanted to stop and shop and didn’t allow any pressuring from sellers as I have experienced in some tours before. I can’t wait to return to Konya to see more of this beautiful city and learn more of Turkey’s amazing history.
