Sudamala Resort, Seraya, Flores

Although we didn’t stay overnight, our experience at the resort was so wonderful that we’ll definitely be booking a stay on our next visit to Labuan Bajo. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, and one of the biggest highlights was the amazing house reef just steps from the resort. On a single dive, we saw schools of fish, pufferfish, swordfish, and vibrant, healthy coral—an unforgettable experience. And a shark during snorkel! A special thank you to our dive instructor, Hafid, who was exceptionally professional, patient, and informative. He made us feel safe and confident throughout the dive while sharing his knowledge of the marine life and reef, making the experience even more enjoyable. Even without staying overnight, we were genuinely impressed by the resort’s hospitality, food, and diving experience. We can’t wait to come back—and next time, we’ll definitely be staying here!

If you’re seeking Flores Islands paradise with absolute beachfront accommodation, a reef you can swim to and breathtaking sunsets, Sudamala Seraya is a wonderful choice. Every room offers uninterrupted beach-front views and the Sunset Bar delivers unforgettable evenings. You can start the day snorkeling the reef and the à la carte breakfast is a standout compared with a typical buffet. In the evenings, the turn-down service adds a charming personal touch with a folklore bedtime story and homemade biscuits. The staff were absolutely delightful throughout our stay, making the experience feel warm and memorable.

We had a fantastic time at Sudamala Seraya. The island is beautiful with a house reef full of fish and a wonderful sunset bar. It’s island living so it does have a rustic feel but that is the charm! No shoes allowed in the restaurant - a lovely place to just relax. The food is slightly more than the mainland, but it has to be brought it. And the selection of Indonesian and Western dishes is really nice with evenings such as bbq / fish. The breakfasts were the best we have had in Indonesia. And lastly the staff, they were incredible. Very warm and attentive and genuinely wanting to help you enjoy your stay - we were mainly looked after by Ayu and Grace (both fantastic) and Zaka - who looked after us on arrival but also took to singing one evening which we loved. All the team were quality though - thank you. We would definitely recommend staying here for a few nights.

The villas are beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings. Every detail is thoughtfully designed. What really made our stay exceptional is the staff. Every single person was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. You can truly feel the passion and dedication of the team. The organization of transfers and activities was smooth and professional, which made the whole experience stress-free. This place is a true little paradise, perfect to relax after a more adventurous part of the trip. We would come back without hesitation.
