Quite a long speed boat ride to the destinations visited, but well worth it, picture perfect islands, clean swimming beaches, amazing

Amazing power boating to ko-Tao and Koh Nguyen with 3 different snorkel site. Abundance of corals and colorful parrot fish, crab, turtles.
The speedboat was very old, uncomfortable, and overcrowded. It felt like they were trying to squeeze as many people as possible onto the boat without considering the customers’ comfort or safety. They should clearly inform customers in advance how many people will be joining the tour instead of letting people find out when they arrive. The snorkeling spots were extremely disappointing and not worth the trip. There were no beautiful coral reefs or anything interesting to see. All I saw were broken corals and a few fish. The experience was nothing like what I expected from a snorkeling tour. Honestly, this tour was a complete waste of time and money. The boat was old, the snorkeling locations were disappointing, and the overall experience was far below expectations. I paid for an enjoyable island and snorkeling experience, but instead, I ended up feeling disappointed and frustrated. The tour operator should improve the quality of the boat, limit the number of passengers, and choose better snorkeling spots. I definitely do NOT recommend this tour to anyone. Save your money and look for a better tour operator. There are much better ways to spend your money than on this disappointing experience!
We had a fantastic day trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan! 🌴🐠 The trip included hotel pick-up and drop-off from Chaweng, which made everything really convenient. Breakfast and lunch were also included, which was a lovely bonus. We enjoyed around 1.5 hours of snorkelling in Koh Tao, where we got to admire the beautiful underwater world. We also visited Japanese Gardens, which was a highlight, with amazing marine life and crystal-clear water. We then had around 2.5 hours of free time on the stunning island of Koh Nang Yuan. We had plenty of time to relax, explore, enjoy the incredible scenery, and take some beautiful photos. The views were absolutely breathtaking! 📸🌊 Overall, it was a wonderful day filled with snorkelling, beautiful beaches, and unforgettable scenery. Everything was well organised, and having transport and meals included made the experience even better. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Koh Samui who wants to explore the beautiful islands of Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan! 💙🏝️
Perfect tour! Nice and helpful staff, good time to do snorkeling and good food at the buffet😎
Snorkeling spots in Koh Tao are a bit deceiving and below average in Southeast Asia. Lots of dead coral. Pickup ride was confusing and nobody had time to eat the « free breakfast » before boarding the speedboat. However, very good buffet for lunch and good value tour, with several bottles of water offered and nice staff.
not worth to book via internet better directly in center village, you can negotiate. For a real snorkley experience I suggest to take this tour to undestand different lication and after take a motobike and do it by uourself.
Prompt pick up in air conditioned mini van. Well organised tour. Full boat of passengers. Beautiful snorkelling experience with attentive and helpful crew. Tour ran to schedule and on time. Lunch was ok. Very crowded at second island Nangyan Resort Island. Snorkelling not as good but water at the beach was beautiful. Overall enjoyable day.
Amazing day, the team were brilliant, awesome snorkeling and great lunch with fantastic views 🥰
We were on Boat 12 and the guys were brilliant, all helpful and the Captain very professional. Food on Koh Tao was the best I’ve had on my whole trip. Thank you again 🙏 Dean & Sorn
Fantastic day. Staff were great.
Great day trip. The staff were amazing, the lunch delicious and the islands and snorkeling well worth doing. Really recommend this trip.
It was a great time! I didn’t realize how long the boat ride would be, so definitely check the weather beforehand if you’re even a little prone to seasickness. Our ride back was very choppy, a few people got sick.
The speedboat was full of tourists. As you are sitting on the boat, you cannot see the view. The boat smells like diesel fuel. The crew were nice and helpful, and generous with the water. However, at the beginning of the trip, they scare you into buying water shoes so that you will not get injured by the sea urchins. While we did not fall for that scam, most people did. Not a single sea urchin was seen by anyone the entire day. Also, they take your shoes and do not give them back until the end of the trip, so you are forced to either walk barefoot, or wear their $10 shoes. After riding for 1 hour 45 min., we arrived at the first snorkel spot - near the rocks. Poor visibility and very few fish. The second spot was a tad bit better and I did see a turtle and fish, but still poor visibility. Lunch was buffet and terrible food. Lastly, we were taken to the island, which was beautiful, but overrun with tourists. If you are looking for good snorkeling in Thailand, this is NOT your trip. Try the Surin Islands.
We really enjoyed, the guys are great and very friendly. Highly recommended
We absolutely enjoyed the trip and had an amazing time snorkelling in Koh Tao and hiking around the beautiful Koh Nang Yuan. With the help of a tour guide, we were lucky enough to spot a turtle and capture some great photos and videos. The tour guides spoke good English and were very friendly and helpful throughout the experience.
The people who run this are very nice and friendly but the experience is over-crowded and only okay. The boat is packed. The first snorkel spot is filled with sea lice that nip at your body. The second spot is nice water but not many fish. The third stop is a beautiful island but it is so crowded you can barely move and cant find a spot to relax. Lunch was not good. This trip would be great if they decreased the number of people on the boat by 50% and the number of boats going to the private island by 80%.
The tour was great, each location was beautiful, however the 3hr total ride there and back was rough. I think it is better to spend a night or two in Kao Tao instead. Everyone thought the island was so beautiful and we just didn’t get much time in each spot to enjoy it. Food was ok, a bit cold, everything was very efficient tho.!
We had an absolutely amazing time! The boat rides were not as bad as expected, the islands were stunning and snorkelling was magnificent. The lunch on Koh Tao was SO delicious!! We couldn’t believe how good ! The entire experience was wonderful and probably our best day visiting Thailand ! Our boat guides were friendly and professional! Would highly recommend!!
A very nice tour. I would book it again and again. Very good food and enough time for swimming. Clear, clean water. Saw lots of fish while snorkelling.
Lovely day.Pick up very punctual a very welcome small refreshments before we start the day.the staf were very nice all day water and some soda juice for free on the boat, the launch was very good. Overall nice trip, nice staff well organised we were also lucky with a calm sea and a smooth ride. Thanks.
Fantastic day out in the sun, 3 bays for snorkelling which is always most enjoyable. Service team excellent service, so nice and friendly. Nangyuan Island a very beautiful place in the world. I lost my glasses and team spent 2 hours trying to find them - amazing service going over and above - thank you
This was a great day trip to enjoy some snorkling . It was well run and the crew were fun . The snorkling was magical . So many different beautiful fish and anemones . I appreciated that they gave us our own time and we were able to swim freely
Hotel pick up was very convenient. Staff were friendly & informative. We had good weather, so it was very enjoyable. Boat was clean & there were plenty of cold water and other drinks
Absolutely amazing experience! The staff were incredibly kind, and the place itself (last stop) is pure paradise and made it worthy. We loved every minute of it (though the speedboat ride at the beginning was quite bumpy, not the tour’s fault, just part of the adventure!). The breakfast was really good, and while the lunch could use a bit more variety, everything else was fantastic. Highly recommended!
Nothing complaint with this trip. The crews were attentive, friendly, and fully helpful. Snorkeling was beautiful, lunch was delicious. It was another great day of vacation.
The snorkeling was great - however the travelling to the island was cramped- with no sight out of the boat - to sit for an hour in a boat without seeing anything was not fun. The life jackets also smelled. The lunch was delicious
Not that well organised, I totally get that the most of the people is dumb, but that’s way you should be more organised. Some of the guides had been a bit rude, probably exausted by looking after people that don’t understand a world in English and are not very well skilled in travelling. If you’re not at your first experice in snorkeling and have higher than average expectations, this is not what you’re looking for.
Great tour, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Very safe and comfortable trip. Beautiful beaches, great snorkeling. Gorgeous islands, great speed boat. Arthur was amazing, very helpful
A wonderful day out. Each of the Islands were just beautiful. Snorkelling was a little disappointing. The Reefs are dead. Few fish to be seen. The boat staff were brilliant. Very friendly and hospitable. If your prone to seasickness. Take anti nausea meds. Its a bumpy ride. Lunch was superb.
I did read before the tour that there could be alot of people on the trip, but 40 of us were squished into one boat, for an hour and a half from KS to KT. The boats aren’t big enough to hold this many people comfortably; you are pressed up against strangers in 30 degree heat for a long time. It could be made clearer that the trip out there is 90mins - several people vomited with sea sickness. Only once we were on the boat were we told that sea urchins were particularly bad, and to purchase sea socks would be 300THB - the only money we were asked to bring was for the access to the island. The islands themselves were pretty, but at least 5 boats the same size as ours were at every stop, meaning there were about 200 people trying to snorkel, take pictures etc. In short, if they didn’t put so many people on each trip, it would be a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The trip was quite good, the crew was experienced and quite helpful. The pickup from our hotel was seamless. We did not have the breakfast on reaching the pier since we ate at our hotel. The speedboat takes 1.5 hours one way to Koh Tao island which can be a bit boring since the boat's hull is pretty tall and you cannot see the sea while travelling. We stopped at 2 different places around Koh Tao island to snorkel, and spent about 45min in each spot. After the 2nd spot, we headed to the island for lunch, which was quite decent. An hour later, the boat took us to Koh Nang Yuan and left us there for about 2 hours to either snorkel or chill on the beach or trek up the view point. I would recommend the view point trek but it will take around 30-40min from start to finish. The beach at Koh Nang Yuan was stunning and snorkelling there was a real pleasure. The crew picked us back up at about 2:45pm and we returned to the pier from where a pickup van dropped us to our hotel. The crew was very helpful. My husband who is not a strong swimmer was guided personally by one of the crew members who took out a solid 30 min to patiently take him on a floatie and showed him how to use the equipment well, when to clear out water buildup to prevent discomfort and pointed out different corals and fish too. I followed a seaturtle for a while (which was also pointed out by the crew) and I saw many colored corals and bright fish. All in all, it was a great trip, worth the money we spent.
Amazing snorkeling locations and an amazing lunch with it. There was always water and sodas at the boat and the crew was great. We saw a giant turtle
Leaves from Koh Samui! (which isninportant because I nearly booked a tour leaving from Koh Tao wooos! The operation was seamless. Collection and drop off to accommodation. The guides were so friendly and fun. But the best bit was they didn’t restrict you too much where you snorkelled! I’m a strong swimmer and would often swim far away but if I got too far they just simply whistled and I’d come back a bit. No guides following you around in the water which I loved having the time to myself! Great lunch stop! It was sad seeing sooooo much coral bleaching but still plenty of fish about which is a good sign!! Koh Tao spots and visiting nearby Koh Nang Yuan was a highlight! Beautiful snorkelling, 3 small islands connected by little beaches and a short uphill walk to a view point that’s worth it! Free water and cola on board, beer for woo baht! No complaints!!! Viator doesn’t talk about the company name that is running the experience but I think it was good Samui or happy Samui and more it leaves from Koh saumi
10 out of 10 experience. Great tour guide. Be prepared for a long boat ride to and from the islands.
The staff and crew were fantastic from the moment we got picked up. The snorkelling, lunch and to be honest the while day was amazing. So many fish and the scenery was out of this world. Don't think twice about booking this trip, you will love it
The whole day was so perfect. The organisation from start to finish was flawless. Picked up from hotel in lovely air conditioned mini bus, great organisation and instructions when we arrived at the port. Speedboat is comfortable and fits about 30. You can only see out of back or if you go out in the front which isn’t covered. We were happy to sit inside out of the sun. The guide and crew were great and making sure everyone knew what the day held and making sure people were all ok. The trip is 1.5 hrs each way and the noise from the engines means you can’t really talk but honestly most people nodded off both ways! There was no one on board even slightly sea sick but the water was really calm. The first stop we managed to get close to a green turtle which was truly amazing and it swam straight under me. The scenery and koh Tao are magnificent and well worth to 1.5 hr journey. The second stop we stopped in another little bay and saw all sorts of fish. We haven’t done a lot of snorkelling but the coral and fish were amazing to see. The next stop was for lunch in a restaurant in koh Tao and the food was possibly the best I have had in Thailand on an excursion and we did the Michelin tuk tuk tour in Bangkok and this was better. Next stop koh nang yang which was knock your socks off beautiful. More snorkelling although not loads to see in the water but the place was incredible to sit and take in for an hour and a bit. Really great day and a highlight of our 2 weeks in Thailand. Remember to put plenty of sun cream on your bum!
This was a very good trip if I had to say something it would be that the boat ride is quite long and you have to stay seated which means you can’t see the sea or surroundings until you get there. The first stop was amazing snorkelling but the second wasn’t as good. Boats kept coming in where we were snorkelling so you had to move out the way. This could be better managed with times of other boats or not to come into the bay for safety of other swimmers.
I wanted to snorkle some coral, and this was the ticket! A free pick-up/drop-off at my accomodations plus a very fast clean newish boat took us out to a cluster of three islands. Great snorkeling, a stop for lunch, amd good company. Highly recommend. Do note that you will be asked for 250 Baht ($7.50) for the lunch stop. Well worth it.
Overall, it was a very good day trip. The pickup was just in time, with a very nice car. The logistics on the pier was very good and fast. The small breakfast included banana and a drink. We sailed to koh Tao first with a speedboat that had very high windows, so we couldn't see the way, and the way wasn't bumpy at all. It took about 1.5 hour to reach the first snorkeling place, which was very beautiful. When you get there, try to stay close to the rocks, where more fish can be spotted. The 2nd snorkeling place was just 5 minutes ride, since it was at the other side of the same small bay (I wouldn't call it a different place...), and it was as good as the first one. Then we sailed to lunch in Koh Tao, which was adequate, no more no less - steamed rice, fried noodles with vegetables, chicken drums and fruits. The last place we visited was Koh Nangyuan, where we stayed 1.5 hours. A word of advice - if you want to do more than just visiting the viewpoint, go straight there, since it took us about 1 hour because of the line for taking pictures. The way back to Koh Samui was much bumpier, but I think about half of the people fell asleep. The crew was very nice and helpful, providing free cold water and cola and beers for purchase. The last thing, we requested to be transferred to a different place than our hotel on return, but that ride left without waitng for us, so we had to order our own ride ...
This was a great snorkelling and hiking excursion. Three snorkelling opportunities of varying degree of enjoyment. The hike to the viewpoint on Koh Nang Yuan was great. Not too challenging and the views were definitely worth it. Lunch at Koh Tao was great and plentiful. Crew was all very friendly. Nice touch having an option to bug cold beer on the boat. Overall very good excursion at a good price!
Loved the tour saw loads of different fish and the tour guides were so friendly and made sure we had a great time, I don’t know why there are negative reviews as it was a really great experience
I did enjoy snorkeling 🤿 in different locations and the islands were beautiful. We had enough time to walk around. To improve: - the vegetarian options were: boiled eggs and omelettes. Curry and Pad Thai were both with chicken. - it would be nice if the guide had educated us on corals life, fish, habitat and some history of the islands. After all, the speed boat journey was over one hour
Whole day trip which started and ended with a pretty boring and effective boat trip in a full speed boat with no view. Funny staff with good mood, refreshments were frequently offered. We visited two fantastic paradise islands, Koh Tao and NangYuan, with relaxing atmosphere and nice facilities. Snorkeling in Mango bay and another neighbour bay outside Koh Tao (Rock bay?). There was clear water and easy access to view fish and coral reevs upclose. Fantastic lunch buffet and beach at the "main land" pf Koh Tao, allthough I missed local dishes with seafood as I don't eat meat, and wanted to try some delicate thai dishes besides salads, fruit, rice and egg. We had some time for activities and beach life as well. Easy little foot trip to a view point with a loong quew at the top (with a bar with refreshments and trees with shadows). Much experience and beautyful natur over - and underwater, a taste of the real paradise Thailand, that cost little!
I would definitely go again. It’s a great team they have and made for a wonderful time. I highly recommend to try this out.
Very fast boat. Very nice snorkel. Private island with very spectacular beach . Good to take pictures.
Great trip, snorkelling spots we saw plenty of different fish. Then the island was beautiful and the look out point definitely worth the walk up
Went to a whole bunch of reefs and islands, lunch and to an amazing island lookout. Great staff, great boats. AMAZING TIME. Thank you -Canada
I just finished my Open Water Diver course with Lex Van Helden, and he was absolutely fantastic! He can speak both English and Dutch! Lex is patient, detail-oriented, and incredibly skilled at teaching. He made me feel safe and confident while explaining everything clearly and thoroughly. His passion for diving is inspiring, and his friendly, professional approach made the experience unforgettable. I would HIGHLY recommend diving with Lex Van Helden—he’s the best instructor you could ask for! Thanks to him, I’m hooked on scuba diving!
The crew of the speedboat were really helpful and looked after everyone with nothing too much trouble. However, two of the three snorkelling stops were marred by a lot of debris in the water. Koh Nang Yuan was stunning.
