This was an excellent trip from start to finish. Very professionally done. We had some food and drink whilst having a briefing, then got to feed the elephants, watch some having a bath and then see them in their natural environment. We helped in sowing new plant seeds via catapult (very cool), and were even offered a cold towel due to the heat. Knowledgable staff and great service. Highly recommended

Very informative, learnt a lot about the individual elephants and where they were rescued from. The guides were great
We had a fantastic experience on our tour today at Samui Elephant home. We did lots of research to ensure we were only booking an ethical tour and we were very pleased with the experience. All staff are very friendly and gave lots of information about each elephant. It is clear they show a lot of love and care for each elephant. The activities were very enjoyable and informative and we learnt lots about the animals. We would recommend to anyone visiting Ko Samui! Thank you Bestie for a great afternoon
The guide Bestie was great, loved learning about the history of the sanctuary and being able to feed the elephants.
This was such a beautiful sanctuary. You can really tell how much everyone that works here cares for the elephants. My favourite was princess! We got to feed them as well as see them bathe in mud baths and play. It was so nice seeing them so happy. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgable too. Bestie took us around the museum telling us about the history of elephants, what we can do to further support the unethical tourism and the differences between the two types remaining in the world. I would highly recommend this trip it was incredible.
Nana is such an informative guide. We loved hearing about the rescue elephants, the relationship they have with their caretakers, the plans for the elephant homes future. Its a Thailand must, Making the pumpkin seed 'food' to grow, seeing the elephants wandering in their jungle....they are clearly loved and taken care of. We need to stop any form of elephant riding/logging etc. The 8 girls and 1 boy are so gorgeous and we need to protect this species. Please visit & help! 🐘💕
This was a wonderful experience and so well done. The elephant sanctuary is spotless and so well run, which means the elephants are very well looked after. The opportunity to get up close and feed the elephants, walk where they walk and visit the museum was all wonderful. I could not fault the experience and excellent value. I love these beautiful gentle animals.
Absolutely amazing, to see the elephants, feed then and give them a shower was the best thing about the holiday
We had the pleasure of visiting the Samui Elephant Home. We wanted to see elephants on our trip but wanted to ensure it was the in an ethical manner. We couldn’t have booked with a better company, the trip was very educational and we were still able to observe the elephants closely and feed them. Bestie was a very good guide and answered all our questions very eloquently.
Brilliant Afternoon .Angie our tour guide was amazing. The passion knowledge and love she has for the Elephants is to be admired
Really well thought out guide was able to answer all questions, got a lot of education about the elephants and was amazing seeing them clearly well looked after. Thank you to our guide bestie!!
The elephants at the sanctuary are clearly so well loved and cared for and the staff are passionate about providing them with a betternfuture. The experience is also very informative about the treatment and future survival of elephants in the wild.
Honestly the most amazing experience. Our tour guide, best, described every fact and knew so much about all the elephants. I loved that it was truly ethical and they treat the elephants so nicely. I think I paid admission fee of £40 pounds but this includes transfer, drinks, food and more and lasted over 3 hours. Thank you so much.
Amazing experience, with all rescued elephants. Our guide Best was really nice, funny and very patient with the toddler that was in our group. Definitely would recommend:)
You can tell they passionately care about the elephants, very informative! Angie was a great guide!!
Great Experience and very knowledgeable guide (Angie) would definitely recommend 👌
I visited the sanctuary with some friends. After a short and curios explanation of the center, they introduced us to the museum of the history of elephants in Thai. At the end, the core of the experience: walking with and feeding the animals. The volunteers inspire passion and professionalism! I would recommend this experience!
Excellent experience and really great seeing elephants in their natural habitat. Our guide was excellent and it was very informative. We got to feed the elephants and I couldn’t believe how much they eat! Please support this great conservation effort!
Amazing project we loved the day here an DC the amazing team from Angie! To be so near with these animals was great expirience
Ethical and amazing experience. Highly recommend.
The whole tour was amazing , super friendly staff. Honestly speechless after my visit with the elephants highly recommend
Highly recommend! This is the ONLY ethical elephant experience on Samui, and home to reacued elephants prwviously uawd for labour, entertainment and have experienced prior harm. The staff, caretakers and volunteers put the animals first. All proceeds go to caring for the animals with a goal to build a elephant hospital on Samui. Wear decent shoes as there will be some light walking they also have options for those with mobility issues. You will be in an open field for part of it, so a hat is suggested . They feed you a vegetarian lunch with dietary considerations. Those that dont do the lunch package tour to museum. I once in a lifetime experience we will never forget, best day ever!!!
I had tour guides Best and Patty and they were absolutely incredible. So informative and answered all of my questions. They were funny, smart and took loads of photos and videos of me as a solo traveler. Highly recommend, so ethical and educational
An amazing, ethical elephant tour. Great introduction to Asian elephants and the whole programme was well curated. The elephants look well looked after and Kathy was a wonderful guide!
Katie our tour guide was fantastic , gave us lots of great information and answered all our questions. The museum was very interesting and of course feeding and watching the elephants was amazing . Lots of cold water available and toilets were immaculate . Well worth the money
Wonderful ethical visit to this sanctuary to see saved elephants in a caring natural environment..the staff/volunteers made this a memorable day visit with their knowledge/caring and love for these beautiful animals.
Great work being done here we learned so much about the elephants and interacted with in a humane way well worth doing this
Wonderful! Very educational, Katy was knowledgeable, answered all our questions, very friendly and kind.
A wonderful way to spend a morning in Koh Samui. The 9 elephants living in the sanctuary have been rescued from performing in the circus, from logging & from being ridden. They are now being lovingly cared for in their retirement home by truly dedicated staff. We learnt so much from Katy our guide & had the opportunity to observe all the elephants in their jungle & to feed them. Such beautiful gentle giants. We arrived to Koh Samui by Cruise ship & were a little anxious about the pick up & making it back to the ship on time for an early departure. There was absolutely no need to worry. The tour was very well organized - staff were on the pier to meet us, transport was in clean, air-conditioned vans & we got back to the ship in plenty of time. The Sanctuary is around a 20 minute drive. All in all it was a great experience
Katie was brilliant, I was dubious when I was sat at a table putting pumpkin seeds in clay, but as the tour goes on you literally fall in love with the Elephants, and Katie was funny, charming and a great guide. Fantastic and well recommended
Amazing staff, beautiful facility and friendly happy elephants. Worth the visit and time with them. Easy transport.
Had an amazing experience here! They are so informative, educational, and passionate about saving elephants and giving them a better life! They teach you so much and a very hands on experience. Great interaction with the elephants. 100% recommend coming here and supporting them!
The Elephant Home was a very unique, personal experience with some of Samui's largest residents. I was pleasantly impressed by how nicely they take care of their elephants and that this was not a show or performance, but an up close and personal introduction to an elephant sanctuary. Everyone there was very nice and cared for their guests. I would recommend and reserve early, because the group size is very limited. We had great weather and an excellent fun time there. We did everything that was stated on the brochure.
It blew me away not only the elephants but the educational and ethical values. Wow. Once in a lifetime you get to feel and see elephants in their habitat. Not for show, not for fun, but to feel their power. I was taking a picture of my parents and one was walking and I had to quickly get out of the way. Truly, amazing, one of the highlights of the trip and the appreciate the tour guides love and commitment to these animals👌
Long drive Long time at the museum Feeding the elephants is nice Nice hospitality Unlimited water Clean toilets
What an absolutely amazing experience. Angie was dedicated and spoke in excellent English about the history of the elephants and the individual animals at the sanctuary. There is a strong focus on conservation, sustainability, and ethical treatment of both the animals and nature. They also showed great consideration for visitors—everyone on our tour, including a pregnant person and a child, was well looked after. Meeting and learning about these rescued elephants was a huge highlight and is highly recommended.
Angie was a very good guide, learned a lot about a possitive aproach of elephants. We plants seeds to grow food in the future and feed them to see the elephant up close
A very worthy cause and what an amazing sanctuary, all of the staff were amazing and the elephants were amazing to see up close .
Very educative and the guide Angie was awesome. Very passionate, honest and educated. She is doing this by heart. This is a home for elephants and they take real care of them. You are allowed take care of them to. Feeding, petting be with them
I had a great time. It was a wonderful experience. I went to the elephant museum and learned a lot about elephants. Thank you Angie for the tour. She gave us a lot of information. I highly recommend this program to everyone.
We chose this tour because it included an educational element, rather than just looking at the elephants. Our guide, Angie, was really knowledgeable and passionate about the elephants and how education is key to the safeguarding these beautiful animals for the future. The visit included lots of information about the evolution of elephants both in Asia and elsewhere. We also got to feed three of the elephants, which was an amazing experience. Excellent clean facilities, and small gift shop. Definitely recommended!!
Very informative and an amazing experience - highly recommend 💝 Big thanks to our guides Angie and Katy to make it an unforgettable visit 🙏🏽
I had a wonderful experience here. A big thank you to Noot our organizer, who made the day so memorable and fun. We were picked up at our Hotel, driven to and welcomed at the site with bottled water and coffee. The site, museum and toilets were very clean ⭐️ She shared many interesting insights about the elephants and introduced us to them in such a warm way. You can see the dedication and care for the elephants they have. We got to feed 3 of them, take photos, and even help prepare seeds for future crops. 😀 An unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend!
What an amazing place, first the staff are so friendly helpful and enjoyable to be with, the love the show fow the elephants is incredible. The time spent feeding walking with the elephant was incredible. Then the food and drinks available. We would definitely recommend this place
Our tour guide Angie met us all outside at the tables. Right away you could tell she was very friendly and quite funny. First she quizzed us, testing our elephant knowledge, then laid down the safety guidelines. I was quite impressed with the museum! It's cleanliness, displays and information boards were very impressive! Then it was time to meet the elephants! We got to walk into the jungle with Maria and the baby elephant Lucky. Of course Lucky was everyone's favorite, but he is a naughty boy! We were able to take pictures with these great animals and then feed them. We ended our time in the jungle by shooting pumpkin pellets into the jungle using slingshots, as to help replant a natural habitat for the elephants. We ended our day with cold clothes and tea to help cool down. I recommend anyone visiting Samui go to the Samui Elephant Home! And ask for Angie - she is great!
Visiting Koh Samui’s Elephant Sanctuary was an absolute privilege. You can immediately feel the deep bond between the elephants and the team—it's clear they are a family, and the care and respect shown to these majestic animals is truly heartwarming. The visit was both fun and meaningful. We learned why sanctuaries like this are so important for elephant welfare, and we got to take part in some amazing hands-on activities—preparing a delicious lunch for the elephants, feeding them, and even making seed balls (launched by catapult!) to help grow future food for them. We also walked alongside these gentle giants and watched them enjoy a relaxing bath—an unforgettable sight. The team took excellent care of us throughout. The facilities were spotless, the food was delicious, and there were always drinks available to keep us refreshed. A truly wonderful experience from start to finish—thank you to everyone at the sanctuary for your dedication and hospitality!
This was a wonderful experience for the whole family. Highly recommended ! Star of the show is Lucky the naughty boy ❤️ Not only seeing the elephants but understanding the history and connection between elephants and Thailand. The people here are doing a very valuable job for the future of elephant preservation.
It was beautiful, very interesting and impressive to experience the elephants. We can only recommend a visit.
Humbling for the soul to prepare their food, hand feed and understand the lives of these rescued elephants.
Wonderful experience with the rescued elephants, interacting on their terms only (as our guide said, if you have the food, they're your friend - once it is gone, so are they!) Great to see humane and ethical interaction as the focus, alongside education.
