If you get motion sick, DO NOT BOOK THIS. The 90 minute boat ride to Koh Tao was no joke. On the way back, our drivers drove us through a storm and people actually fell out of their seats because the waves were so insane. However, the snorkeling was really beautiful and we saw baby sharks. If you think I’m exaggerating on the boat ride I’m not. If anything I’m underexaggerating.

Itinerary
The crew of Mr. Tu will pick you up from the hotel lobby on Samui and bring you to Bang Rak Pier where you will get useful information about the trip. After a light breakfast, you will cruise aboard the convenient speed boat in less than 90 minutes to Koh Nangyuan. As soon as you arrive on Nangyuan Island, the first thing you will do is hike to the top of the spectacular viewpoint. It takes around 15 minutes to get to the top and we recommend hitting it as early as possible to avoid the crowds. Besides the viewpoint, you can spend time at the beach where a plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent. At noon the beach is pretty crowded, but the fine white sand and the crystal clear water make up for that a bit. There are a few separate swimming areas on Koh Nangyuan - the Japanese Reef Garden is certainly one of the most impressive snorkel spot. The water is very shallow at the beginning with fine sand. After that it will be a little bit stony because the underground is full of corals, that’s why the water color is so beautiful. Continue to Koh Tao where you will enjoy a Thai style lunch in Montra Resort near Mae Haad Pier. Some of the most beautiful beaches dot the east coasts which are difficult to reach on the road. You will make several snorkel stops at Ao Hin Wong and Kluay Thoen Bay (Lighthouse Bay). With all the exhaustion of the sightseeing, sunbathing and snorkeling, you’ll need to have some refreshments after arrival at the pier on Samui, before returning to your hotel. Itinerary: • 07:00 - 08:00: Hotel pickup on Koh Samui • 08:00 - 09:00: Meet the boat crew at Phu Yai Non Pier and enjoy a light breakfast • 09:00 - 10:30: Depart from Phu Yai Non Pier to Koh Nangyuan • 10:30 - 11:15: Climb up to the viewpoint of Nangyuan • 11:15 - 12:00: Free time with snorkeling at Japanese Reef Garden • 12:00 - 13:00: Enjoy a buffet lunch at Montra Resort on Koh Tao • 13:00 - 14:00: Snorkel at Ao Hin Wong • 14:00 - 15:00: Relax at Kluay Thoen Bay (Lighthouse Bay) • 15:00 - 16:30: Cruise back to Koh Samui • 16:30 - 17:00: Get fruits & juice refreshement before transfer back to your hotel

This trip was horrendous and dangerous. The boat was shabby and the life jacket smelt of stale vomit. It has to be one of the worst boat trips I have been on . It was like sitting at a bus
We had a wonderful snorkeling experience. My father had an unfortunate mishap on 30th Dec while getting off the speed boat at Koh Samui on return leg of our snorkelling outing. He misjudged while getting off from the boat onto the pier and fell injuring his shoulder and groin. The pain was intense and he had to be helped to reach the office area of boat company. The staff there were extremely helpful and immediately called an ambulance which came within 7-8 minutes, left along with Mr Tu who came with us to provide help and assistance at the hospital. He stayed with us right through the documentation, first aid and Xray till the dislocated rt shoulder joint was reset by the Doctor after giving me sedation and painkillers. Since our boat journey ticket covered insurance, Mr Tu told us that they would cover the treatment expenses of approx 11000 Bath incurred at the hospital, and we did not have to pay anything. Mr Tu left only after seeing us off when we left by taxi to our place of stay at Koh Samui. His confident demeanor, reassuring presence and managing the Thai language interactions with the hospital staff were a big help to us in this crisis situation in a foreign land. We are extremely grateful to him. Suggestion - Would have been nice if our boat had transparent glass panels as against covered, we could have enjoyed the sea views. Plus they should be extra careful with the elderly people.
Terrible speedboat trip – Dec 9, 2025 Our boat broke down, had to be changed in unexpected port. Seas were rough, which was not indicated by captain or tour guide before the trip. Very bumpy ride took 2.5 hours instead of 1.5. Around 30% of passengers vomited by the end of prolonged 2,5hours and who managed to do not, could be sure s/he was sitting close to the person who did. Due to speed boat issues our program was changed and we had very little time at Koh Nang Yuang. When we asked about a oartial refund, the guide dismissed us that office is far and he can not do anything. Staff were kind, but overall this was a stressful, overpriced experience for family (6,500 THB). ⚠️ Not recommended to use this company especially for families or elderly, although other age groups were also affected.
I can’t say enough good things about this trip! Fantastic team who can’t do enough to help you. Comfy boat, good quality snorkle equipment and a delicious lunch. All amazing. My family will remember this trip for a long time. Thank you. 🙏🏻🙌🏻💕🫶🤿🐟🐠🐡
We had a wonderful trip! They picked us up at our hotel on time. When we arrived we had very limited time to have the light breakfast, about 5 minutes but we stuffed our pieholes with the yumminess and jumped onto the boat! The ride there was fine, nice and calm. We stopped at Mango Bay which was by far the best place to snorkel but my only complaint was that they didn't oil our masks at this stop because this was the best viewing! The masks kept misting up. Then we went to the lighthouse and jumped into the sea. Here they oiled the masks and the world of difference it made was immense! Then we went for a delicious lunch. Honestly, really yummy food! The last stop the weather unfortunately started to change which made it a little bit miserable to chill on the beach but the snorkeling was also lovely. Saw some awesome sea slugs and a massive hermit crab. The ride back however was not ideal! The waves smashing on the boat and us going flying through the air was a laugh at first but then people started to get greener and greener. Obviously not the tours fault but if you have a bad back, this wouldn't be good for you! Our guide Win was fabulous "choppy choppy 10 minutes" has become a saying on our holiday now! I would definitely recommend this trip. If you love stalking fish, this is for you!
We had a perfect day trip, the guide were very professionals and they followed us in the snorkeling. They also went underwater with our cameras to help us take pictures and videos of the turtle that we saw in Ko Tao. Guides were always available and ready to help us and give us informations. I definitely recommend this company.
The snorkeling on Koh Tao was UNREAL!!! Probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my life. So grateful this tour organized such a beautiful experience for everyone. complimentary breakfast congee was delicious too.
Just wish we had more fun time. They told us how things would go down, but didn't make sure everyone was listening or understanding so some people didn't make the most of the time, but we had a blast!
We went on the Koh Tao trip by speedboat on December 8, 2022. The boat looked in a state of disrepair (so common in Thailand). The seas were calm, but the boat got thrashed about as if we were in huge waves, but there were no waves, just a rolling ocean surface. The boat slammed down as if it was dropped onto concrete, over and over. Probably the wrong boat for the intended purpose. Boat ride was rough or worse. The crew, lunch, swimming and snorkeling was good. I don’t recommend this trip.
I've never been to Thailand before, neither have I tried Snorkel before. We randomly selected this trip due to it having the lowest price at that point in time comparing to the rest of the companies. However, what surprised us was that it actually became the best trip we had during our stay in Thailand. The trip was very organised. We got picked up from our hotel and were treated with delicious local breakfast. We then had the most amazing snorkelling guide on our boat, he's not only friendly and kind but also well experienced. After knowing it's my first time snorkelling, he guided us at all three snorkelling locations, divided into the sea to show us the sea treasures and took us to areas with the most beautiful sea views. I felt very safe during the whole experience. It really created unforgettable memories and I hope more tourists know about them.
An excellent snorkelling trip with 3 chosen locations where one could see coral, coral decay and bleaching (sadly) and plenty of marine life. Pick up was prompt, as was check in. Boat professionally crewed. Ample lunch served - fresh Thai buffet. Excellent masks to use. Fresh water hose down after last swim. Special thanks to Kuwon (English name Troy). He worked very hard all day to ensure that we all had such a memorable trip. I have been on many snorkelling day trips over the last 20 or so years. This has been the best by far. Thank you.
We were collected from our hotel in a great a/c bus. Arrival at Mr Tu’s was slick and easy. Breakfast snacks were on offer. Had an excellent day visiting islands, snorkelling, kayaking. Lunch was lovely in a stunning location, drinks of water & cans of Fanta were on offer all day! Would highly recommend, great value for money. Highly recommend bringing beach shoes for this trip.
We hade a Lovely day. Very friendly staff and well organized from pick up to drop off. Food and drinks all day.
They picked us up from our hotel in a air conditioned van, not a bad journey to the pier. Breakfast was fruit, doughnuts, toast and coffee. We had a safety talk before we boarded that was in English and Chinese. There was a lot of people on the speedboat but that was to be expected on a trip like this. The snorkeling was average as there wasn’t that many fish and to see the coral so badly damaged at the last stop was heartbreaking. The boat trip was pretty long but also that was also to be expected. The crew were friendly and lunch was pretty good, a masman curry with fried rice and fruit and ice cream. Pretty crowded with all the people but again that was expected. Probably wouldn’t go again and isn’t a must do trip but it’s nature.
We arrived at the pier to board and were told that since we were over 65 we would not have insurance and wanted us to sign a waiver form or not be allowed to board. We refused and were then told we would only have half coverage if we went. Totally unprofessional as no mention of this is on any of their brochures or on their website. The snorkeling was the worst I have ever experienced. Hundreds of people in an area the size of a swimming pool with visibility of less than one metre with virtually nothing to see. The walks to viewpoints were lovely but all food provided was very ordinary (a tepid green curry for lunch). Could not recommend this trip to anyone.
So, here we go i dont know where i should begin. The positive Good transfer to and from the pier The bad Poor excuse for a breakfast when we arrived. A toast was all you got I didnt expect a full breakfast buffé but come on.. When it was time to leave we had to put pur shoes in a big bag before boarding the boat, Im gona get to why that was bad later. The boatride to the first site was okay, a totally crowded boat with no legroom but i can live with that. The first site: We arrive at a small small smaaaall beach called mango beach..when we arrive there is 3 big boats already lying there with a loooooot of people in the water...and the sand is really rough so we would like our shoes...but the crew didnt get them for us...instead they wanted us to buy watersocks for 200 baht....not really a LOT of money, but the principle of it was that they knew that the sand was hard to walk on and Held back our shoes so we would buy their crap. In the meantime more boats showed up, and it the end there was more boats then places to go into the water...and of course with that so much people you could almost not see the water. And this is how it was on the other sites aswell, all the boats and people in the same place in the same time.. And all the time, ”45 min here, get out” we were treated like cattle througout the day. Then after a while it was time for lunch... That was just mayhem. Again all the boats with their passengers to the same small restaurant...it was like piranhas going through the buffé...i had to physically block people so my friends could get any on their plates...it was madness... After that there was one more site...which was exactly the same as the others...and then the ride Home wich me and my friends really longed for... I wouldnt recommend this tour to my worst enemy
We had expected a bit more from this tour. The whole thing was a soulless mass tourism event. The snorkeling spots were completely overcrowded and it felt like Munich's Stachus during rush hour. Not very nice. The underwater world is very beautiful, but unfortunately also very damaged, which is very sad. The ride in the speedboat was like being in an overcrowded school bus. On the return trip, we ran into a storm and rain, for which the organizer is of course not to blame, but it just didn't exactly make the tour any better. Speedboat riding is only for people who don't have problems with getting seasick and is also not recommended for people who are prone to migraines or have back/neck problems.
There is a lot good about this trip, the snorkeling is beautiful, the food is tasty, and the transfer is well arranged. But the speedboat is horrible. I went yesterday and have been lying down all day with terrible back pain. So, definitely go snorkeling, but find another form of transport.
