Another wonderful snorkelling trip to Koh Tao. Roon, the owner, knows all the best spots so we had 2 completely different snorkelling experiences and a very tasty lunch in between. The attention to detail from the start was amazing. The crew were exceptional. Value for money plus, plus, plus.

I cannot recommend 100 degrees east enough. They are more expensive than others, but it was very much worth it for the more personable service and flexibility of a smaller group. All the staff were super attentive, ensuring that we had sufficient drinks and helping to take photos (particularly taking my underwater camera and getting great shots from a bit deeper as I didn’t want to dive down). The team provided support for weaker swimmers on the snorkelling elements and were really good at pointing out particular fish and marine life. The lunch provided was excellent, primarily vegetarian curries that weren’t overly spicy with some fried chicken for the meat-eaters. I went on the Koh Tao snorkelling trip without my husband and the team made me feel completely comfortable. The smaller group made it easier to chat to others on the trip. The team were so attentive, ensuring that they knew what my priorities for the day were, i.e. seeing lots of marine life or learning about them or in reality a bit of both. This was a real bucket-list day, the waters were so clear and there were so many different fish and coral. There were extra staff on board as they were practicing safety rescue drills while the customers went out with our snorkel guides, which really made me confident that I was in safe hands with the 100 degrees east team. The 100 degrees east team and their tour to Koh Tao snorkelling really made my trip to Koh Samui. We would highly recommend them.

If you are after the VIP experience, then 100 Degrees East is the tour for you. From the first contact with Cara to our driver dropping us back at our hotel the whole day was 5 star. The team take amazing care of all their guests. With a maximum of 12 guests and 6 crew there was plenty of individual attention for everyone. When snorkeling there is a guide in the water for every 4 people. The boats are modern and spotlessly clean & well cared for and they time their tours to miss the biggest crowds which makes for a great experience. The team go the extra mile in everything - lots of fresh towels, beach mats, stainless water bottles (which they carry for you when needed) with plenty of refills to save on plastic waste, prescription snorkeling masks for those who need glasses, taking lots of photos for you and even providing electrolytes after kayaking. The lunch of home cooked Thai food was delicious and there lots of fresh fruit on the boat in between. We had a bit of a rough trip back to Koh Samui but the captain was very experienced and at no time did we feel unsafe. They had to take us to a different drop off point due to the weather, but Cara and our transport was ready and waiting when we arrived. This is not the cheapest tour out there but the saying "you get what you play for" rings true for this tour and it's 100% worth every cent. We would highly recommend the 100 Degrees East team.

Excellent service. The staff were amazing, especially Joe. Nothing was to much trouble. We felt very well looked after. The tours was fantastic, the snorkeling was brilliant, so many different fish and corals.

Our second trip with this company, and another home run! We came back to Thailand, but this time they picked us up from our hotel in Koh Phangan - I mean literally, they brought the boat to our specific hotels beach, and backed up tot he sand! We simply walked out of our rooms onto the sand, and onto the boat! Such a nice boat, new clean, stocked with drinks, the most friendly staff! We went to Koh Tao - OMG. Jumping in the water in Koh Tao was like jumping into an aquarium of fish! Above, below, all around, fish of every color and zize, incredible! At the end of the day, one of my kids commented "we should go back to Koh Samui early" and the captain said, "I'll take you. We can wait 30-40 minutes for you to pack your luggage. Why waste time with a ferry, we have a boat now."! So we packed up, they helped us carry our bags onto the boat, and off we went! I booked a hotel in Koh Samui on route (a 25 minute ride), and the staff had a taxi/van waiting for us in Samui to take us to our hotel. Incredible service, above and beyond, simply the best! If you go to Samui or Phangan, this is the company to hire for 5-star VIP experiences, 110%!

As an infrequent diver I was a bit nervous about remembering everything (how do I put on a weight belt again?). But I needn’t have worried, as literally everything is done for you. All you have to do is put on the BCD (they help with this too, as well as de-fogging your mask, helping you with fins etc) and jump in. I was the only diver on the boat - everyone else was snorkelling - and so I essentially had a private lesson with Bastion, the instructor, who was fantastic and put me at my ease. We saw plenty of cool stuff including a turtle as well as masses of the usual reef fish. Cara’s communication was first rate. Every detail is carefully thought through and designed to remove any niggles from your day. Food was surprisingly good and the staff were amazing. All in all a top notch experience, highly recommended.

Wow what a fantastic experience! Communication and customer service from Cara pre trip was excellent - small touches like asking where our actual villa was and collecting us directly, rather than the nearest “pick up” location, made a great start to the trip. The group was small (max 14) so with 5 staff supporting on the boat meant excellent personal customer service, and one guide/diver per family. Our guide, Mr Bastian, was a star - hugely knowledgeable and eager to share his passion for marine life, pointing out where to focus throughout each dive. The 3 snorkel dives were each very different , but all fantastic - we even got to see a reef shark which was awesome. All in all an amazing trip and absolutely worth the price . You may find lower price trips, but they won’t compare or come near to 100 Degrees East - thoroughly recommended and would go again without a doubt. Thanks Cara and team 👏 👏

I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. It was extremely well organised, and we felt very safe. They took us to the most beautiful reefs and it was the best snorkelling experience I’ve ever had. Our children aged 13 & 10 thoroughly enjoyed it.

During your holiday you are lucky to find an activity that you recount to friends days, weeks or even months after your holiday has ended. This was one of those activities. It was professional, interesting and definitely memorable. Very highly recommended and thank you to the owners and staff for the memories.

It was an amazing day out. From the induction at their office, the boat trip across to the islands. The staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and made you feel comfortable. Awesome lunch provided. Explained so much about the marine life that you would see.

From the moment of booking to the post-trip farewell, Cara and her team were professional, knowledgeable and fun - quickly creating a great relationship with us. Stunning locations to dive finding the less busy areas. They even had prescription facemasks for this with glasses! Thanks guys!

Absolutely worth the money. We did 2 dives at Koh Tao with Jason as our guide and him and the team were outstanding. Excellent equipment, extremely knowledgable, great food, went to amazing spots. The dives were incredible, we saw so much and Jason really knows how to find the most interesting things- so many nudibranches! And a big shark as a bonus. We also did the ang thong trip and dive and it was brilliant as well. We did another dive trip to sail rock with silent divers and they were nowhere near as good, more like a factory with overcrowded boats and bad equipment. Cannot recommend 180 degrees enough.

100% recommend this tour experience. They were flexible, supportive, and offered an incredible lunch and refreshments along the way. They guides were knowledgeable and kind taking us to multiple dive sites FULL of vibrant wildlife.

We had a group trip to Koh Tao canceled by another provider—ended up being lucky for us. The team at 100 Degrees East got us in for a private snorkeling adventure that was customized to our family and missed the throngs of people at Koh Tao. We saw more fish than we could count, including rare angel fish, cool sea cucumbers, and a beautiful green turtle who let us watch her swim for quite some time. Along the way we had bumps and bruises and a little upset stomach, but Jeff and Star and the team bandaged us up and got us back out there. Great service and a worth the extra expense from the cattle herd operators taking the same trip.

Best experience with the most professional tour team. The price is on the higher side but not by much when you convert from local currency (what is +$50 more) - you are paying for quality of experience. Visit was full day - pick up was on time but never too early. Relaxed experiences, lots of chill time to balance out the water adventures. Small group, between 8-12 and then you split into smaller groups in the water for a private tour. Absolute professional staff, dedicated to your safety & comfort. Watching our captain outrun a storm to get us back to shore and safety before it hit was very impressive. Always felt well cared for and looked after.

Two teens and two adults went out for a VIP day snorkelling and diving. The boat and equipment were excellent, the crew were awesome and the food was great! There was real team spirit and family feel on board, lots of fun and a chill vibe. We stopped at three seperate sites, according to the very knowledgeable dive master and daily conditions, and there was plenty to enjoy for everyone. If you've shopped around and it all looks bit same-same, then this is the one to book - well worth a bit extra $ for truly VIP experience!

We had a fabulous day with 100 Degrees East doing 2 dives in Koh Tao. Cara, the owner, was really accommodating as we were a mixed group of snorkellers and scuba divers. The team was ultra professional with the dive masters having a maximum ratio of 4 diver to 1 dive master and each sub-group had its own briefing. The kit was in v good condition. The coral and marine life was fabulous for both snorkelled and divers and the mini snorkelling trip at the end meant we saw a large turtle. It was a lovely day. Not the cheapest but worth the money.

I'm legitimately surprised by how well everything went, the owner was very nice and the crew was genuinely super nice and helpful. They made sure we were taken care of in every aspect including picture taking, they've clearly had a ton of practice because the pictures they took with our phones came out perfect. I'm so glad I went with them. I'd recommend them to anyone that wants a great experience and beautiful memorable pictures.

You may find cheaper dive trips but this one was definitely worth the money. Their professional approach and attention to detail is evident from the minute you arrive. There were 12 of us snorkelling/diving and 7 crew with us on the boat. Once we arrived at the destination we were split up into groups of 4, each of us with a guide to show us the corals and fish. Our guide was passionate about the corals and fish, showing us things and taking photos for us if they were too far to dive down. He also made sure constantly that we felt safe. We were given a delicious lunch on Kho Tao and then two more opportunities to snorkel before we headed back to Kho Samui. I've been on other snorkel trips in the Maldives, but this was way, way more organised and professional. Bravo Team!

Our snorkel tour with 100 Degrees East was easily one of the best experiences we had in Thailand. Booking was simple and straightforward — Cara handled everything directly and was incredibly responsive. She offered the flexibility to pay on the day or by credit card (you cover the processing 3% fee), and the deposit process online was quick and secure. What really sets 100 Degrees East apart is how intentionally they plan their routes. The team goes out of their way to operate opposite the big tour groups, which meant we were often the only ones in the water. No crowds, no getting kicked by fins from groups of 50 (this alone is why they are worth playing slightly more per person to book them over other tour operators) — just peaceful snorkeling and uninterrupted views of the reef. They also navigate all the variables that come with the ocean — weather, tides, animal movement, and even the behavior of other operators — with a level of professionalism that made us feel safe the entire time. Their awareness and adaptability were obvious from start to finish. The small‑group setup is another huge plus. The boats max out at around 12 people, and with nearly as many guides on board, the experience feels almost one‑on‑one once you’re in the water. We saw an incredible amount of coral and marine life, and the guides were always close by, pointing things out and making sure everyone was comfortable. If you’re looking for a snorkel tour on Koh Tao that’s personal, well‑run, and far from the chaos of the big operators, 100 Degrees East is absolutely the way to go. We couldn’t recommend them more. As a fellow boat owner, every dollar counts when it comes to boat maintenance with those powerful engines that are getting you safely out to the reefs - considering booking directly with them.

We booked two tours in a row with 100 Degrees East, without any prior experience of the company. From what we experienced I can confidently say that the level of quality on each excursion is consistent and high.  We started with a hotel pickup in a comfortable minivan which was exactly on time. We were then taken to the main office for a briefing, to be fitted for snorkeling gear and to pick up the water bottles they provided. We were also introduced to our very friendly guides. Then we took a short walk down to the beach to board our boat. This was the second of our tours with the company and we were delighted to see some familiar faces amongst the crew, who greeted us warmly, more as friends than customers.  The boat is comfortable, spacious and has an onboard toilet. There are plenty of choices for seating and plenty of soft drinks and water available in a huge ice chest in the center of the boat. The crew were all lovely and were constantly running about and going the extra mile to ensure our safety and comfort. On the way out Dominik gave us a great explanation of all the fish we would likely see on the tour and taught us some safety signals for our peace of mind. His knowledge as a guide was fantastic and he could tell us which fish we'd seen from even the most vague descriptions. We visited three snorkeling sites, one before lunch and two after. Each site was unique and had something different to offer. They had clearly been carefully chosen to complement each other. Even though there were other boats around, our guides took us on routes that avoided other snorkelers, making the experience feel very private. Everyone who wanted was given a life jacket and the guide also carried a life ring to tow any tired guests so they wouldn't miss out.  A really nice lunch was served on a nearby beach and afterwards we were given some time to sunbathe and enjoy the area. We were given plenty of time to digest before heading to the next snorkeling spot. After finishing snorkeling we were taken back to the company office, where staff helped us wash the sand off our feet and we used the facilities before being taken back to our hotels by minivan.  100 Degrees East have clearly fine tuned the formula for what makes a truly great tour experience. The crew were fantastic from start to finish and the thoughtful little extras really added a level of polish that I have rarely seen by any tour company. This company sets the standard for others to beat and I would 100% recommend them.

The best snorkeling experience that we have ever had. The water was so clear, no trash. We saw so much sea life, even a few sea turtles. The experience was second to none! Everyone was very professional

This was one of the best things on holiday my partner and I have ever done. It was such an incredible day, we were well looked after and had so much fun. The boat trip over to Koh Tao was great, lovely boat and lots of space and shade. We visited 3 snorkelling sites which the team chose, and they were all incredible. The guides were amazing pointing out lots of things to us. They catered for all our needs. The lunch at Koh Tao was so yummy, they provided authentic thai food. We saw sea turtles a few times! Would absoulutely recommend this tour to family and friends, Cara and the team are amazing. We would love to do it again one day :)

I had a brilliant day out with the 100 Degrees East team on their snorkelling tour. The full day tour was safe, exciting and informative. Snorkelling guides in the water looked after everyone and helped to show you the best of the marine life at three different sites. I have been on crowded tours and i preferred being in a small group - the max is 12 and there were 8 or 10 of us on the day. Confident swimmers and beginners alike are catered for, and I had a great time learning the basics of free diving to get a closer look at the fish. Importantly, there was plenty of time to explore each snorkelling site and I never felt rushed to get back on the boat. Also, if you don't have an underwater camera, the team will send you some highlight photos via WhatsApp at the end of the day and this is included as part of the tour. Thankyou again, I had a great day!!

We had an amazing day snorkeling with the 100 Degrees team! My 8 year old daughter, husband and I did the full day tour to Koh Tao. The boat was very large and comfortably fit all 12 guests + 8 staff. The guest-to-staff ratio made us feel very well taken care of. All the staff were super nice & helpful. Diving was amazing. We spent over an hour at our first stop, with lots of coral & fish to see. Lunch was delicious & plentiful, with a special treat for my birthday. ❤️ The second dive site was more amazing than the first, with a greater abundance of marine life & more beautiful coral. We loved seeing the giant clams! The third dive site was unique and we were able to see two green sea turtles! They seemed entirely unbothered by us & allowed us to swim above or beside them without hesitation. It was incredible to see how large their heads are. 10/10 would recommend this trip!

From our first to our last interaction with 100 Degrees East it was just an amazing experience! Super quick on responses, didn’t mind a lot of questions - thanks ven sent je a photo of their fins when I asked which type they use! And when hubby left hiss sunglasses case on the boat, they dropped it off at our hotel the next day! Everything is super organised, clean, and safe. Their equipment is fantastic, their facilities great and their boat was clean, modern and well looked after. The team who accompanied us to Koh Tao was awesome - friendly, kind, attentive, and just all up amazing human beings! We had an amazing time and it was worth every cent spending that little bit more for a truly VIP experience!

A fantastic day with the team from 100 degrees east. From the staff to the Snorkeling and the delicious lunch it was truly an incredible day out. Jason was particularly great and helped new snorkelers for there first swim! We saw sea turtles, sea snakes and rays and it was a truly special experience. Couldn’t recommend more!

An unforgettable trip that was probably the best day of our holiday! This trip is pricy compared to some of the other trips available but was well worth it. Visited fabulous locations for snorkelling; too equipment and a guide just for our family made sure that we felt safe and saw all the best marine life! Gorgeous lunch on a beautiful beach. Seeing the turtles topped off a brilliant day. Recommend highly!

A brilliant experience from start to finish. A really warm welcome from Cara and the team who really go out of their way to personalise the experience for you. This is a small group activity which makes all the difference and is worth paying the extra for if you can. Lunch was exceptional as were the views. Having done the Anthong National Marine park day trip with 100 degrees east we were also booked on the Koh Tao snorkelling day. This was just as good as the Anthong National Marine park day trip. We snorkelled at 3 different sites seeing turtles, puffer fish and loads of other brightly coloured fish. We also saw a shark egg. The corals were beautiful and the sea very clear. Again we stopped for a fabulous lunch prepared by the chef at 100 degrees east. We had time to relax and swim at the beach before our second lot of snorkelling. Cara and team were amazingly helpful. I would highly recommend for experienced snorkelers and novices young and old. I can’t comment on the diving but the people who did it on our day seemed to have a great time too. I would definitely consider doing the days out again if I was back on koh Samui. Thank you

Cara and her team at 100 Degrees East were AMAZING and this was the best snorkelling I've ever done--which, to date, has included most of the Hawaiian islands and Barbados. The crew was extremely attentive, and it was very nice to have a small group to feel extra looked after. I cannot recommend them enough!

We went on the snorkeling trip to Koh Tao with our two kids (7 and 9 years old) and we had the best time! Everything was very well arranged: from pick up at the hotel to the wonderfull lunch at a remote beach. The kids had no snorkeling experience, but that was not a problem. Our snorkeling guide Alex made them feel very at ease and made the day an unforgettable experience. This trip is worth every penny!!

This was a wonderful snorkel trip. The reefs around Koh Tao are amazing. I have snorkeled in many places around the world and this was one of the best. The tour started out with lots of information. Our own stainless water bottles were given out. The boat trip, even though long, was enjoyable. The wind is great when it’s hot and humid out. We did three stops for snorkeling and each was fantastic. The last one was to see turtles and we certainly saw turtles. We saw lots of corals and amazing fish. The Thai lunch stop was great. The entire trip we were offered many drinks and they served fresh cut fruit after each stop. Which is wonderful after snorkeling!! The people in the boat helped us out so much. Were very polite. And the guides in the water were wonderful. They took our GoPro and dove down for better videos for us! I highly recommend this trip to anyone that wants to enjoy some fantastic snorkeling.

Created a tripadvisor account just to post a review about this company. What a great experience! You pay more than others but ansolutely worth every cent. Personal attention due to the small groupsize (max 12), very friendly crew and all new equipment. Food and drinks throughout the day were also super. We are a family with 2 boys (10 & 12) and got our own instructor (tom) during snorkelling hours. Extremely friendly, great with kids and showed us all the cool things under water.

Highly attentive crew, knowledgeable guides and incredible locations. In the lead up, Cara was fantastic with communication ensuring that everything was in hand for any requirements and the pre trip briefing was crystal clear. Everyone on our Snorkelling Tour was an absolute diamond throughout our day. Alex was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the locations and the marine life we were seeing. Very aware of the people in our group and would check in with everyone regularly. There was an emphasis on not impacting the environment, no fish feeding or touching the corals which is how it should be so we can preserve the corals and enjoy snorkelling around them in the future. The journey to Koh Tao is about 90 mins from Samui by speedboat. The ride was very smooth and comfortable. Miau (sorry, spelling) was an excellent host on the boat the rest of crew were fantastic, making sure everyone was hydrated and comfortable as well as offering to take photos and videos for people and highlighting specific view points. Lunch was lovely, plenty of option and plenty to go around, good fuel for the 3 stops of snorkelling! Whenever we return to Koh Samui in the future we will be booking again in a heartbeat. What an experience!

The snorkeling tour to Koh Tao by 100 Degrees East team was definitely the highlight of our 7 days trip to Koh Samui. The tour was very well organized and Cara's team prepared everything we needed - snorkels and fins, labeled water bottles, iced drinks and fruits during the day, home cooked lunch, towels, beach mats etc. We were separated into small groups of 4-5 people and each group had a guide. They brought us to less crowded spots so we could enjoy ourselves. We were in the water three times and saw so many amazing marine lives including a beautiful turtle. Our original tour was canceled due to the heaving rain. 100 Degrees East emailed us very early in the morning saying they felt it wouldn't be a enjoyable day for us given the weather condition. I was actually very grateful that they were so responsible and decided to cancel. They could've still taken us out that day since it was not a storm, but we wouldn't see much because the water wouldn't be clear in the rain. We were staying in Koh Samui for a few more days and got rescheduled (very lucky as their tour is usually fully booked). I think Cara and her team tried their best to make sure we could have a unforgettable experience and we did. We would definitely join this tour again or other tours organized by 100 Degrees East on our next trip to Koh Samui. I already recommended this tour to my friends.

I took the snorkelling trip to Koh Tao and right from the beginning it was a wonderful experience. Cara and the crew were amazing - super friendly and had a great plan for the day. They made everyone feel comfortable no matter what their skill level was ( by the end of the day all the guests were duck diving like experts). The boat ride was a vibe - sunshine, breathtaking views the whole way. The warm water, coral and fish life were beautiful and lunch was delicious. I could personally tell just how much the dive team enjoy taking guests to these spots - they definitely love their job! If you love nature the ocean and an awesome day out this is definitely worth doing while in Koh Samui. Thank you 100 Degrees East Dive Team!

The 3* classification represents our frustration of not taking the Kao Tao diving trip, scheduled with Cara one month in advance (for April 16). Making a reservation, 100 Degrees East does not require any down payment. One day before the scheduled trip, Cara informed us that our transport will leave our hotel at 8:25 “…in case the other participants from the hotel do not CANCEL the trip…” Arriving to the hotel’s reception for the transport (8:20), we were notified that the trip was cancelled due to weather condition, “…100 Degrees East does not want to charge high prices for a trip in bad weather condition….”; reasonable? yes… At 8:00 there were light showers, which completely disappeared at 9:00 am; at 11:00 the day was completely SUNNY… We believe that 100 Degrees East knows the weather conditions in this period better than anyone… We may suspect, as there is no down payment required, that (due to the early rain), other participants, simply cancelled the trip (no penalties), so it was not economical for 100 Degrees East to have a trip with few people. Pity we were not aware to this detail before, to be able to schedule with another operator.

It was an awesome day with the organization and the team! A really fantastic time! There was an hour drive on a speed boat, snorcling, lunch time, kayaking, two short hikes with great sightseeing at a laguna. Really amazing. Great team, a lot of fun!

We snorkeled at 3 reefs and all of them were beautiful! The food was nice and the guides were great.

This was an amazing tour with a wonderful company. 100 Degrees East really stand out. The professionalism from the office team and the boat crew is outstanding . After the first request by email we received good information regarding all aspects of the tour. Cara at the office answered all our questions and we got pickup information the day before. The boat was comfortable and with only 12 guests onboard we had room to spread out a bit. The crew was knowledgeable, in good spirits, helpful and did their abosolute best to give us a wonderful experience. Lunch was also good. When snorkeling they split us into small groups with a guide. The guide was very good at spotting fish and other sea creatures that we otherwise would have missed. On the boatride back to Koh Samui the waves had picked up a bit, but the boat captain tried his best to make the ride back as smooth as possible by adjusting speed and predicting the waves. The boatride back therefore took a bit longer than anticipated. On another boat tour we attended from Koh Samui with a different company the waves on the way back was much rougher and they did not slow down at all which was quite unplesant. I prefer 100 Degrees East’s approach regarding this matter. Will definitly reccommend this company for anyone looking to do an awesome small group snorkeling tour with a highly recommended company☺️

The trip was amazing, and the itinerary so professionally worked out..so special avoiding the tourists… The crew were all great, would definitely recommend 100 Degrees East for a memorable day out… we even saw Whales!! How special

The small group experience was worth the extra cost. The equipment was well maintained and high quality. The mask was the clearest and most leak-free I have ever used. They even had a –2 Rx mask for my husband who wears glasses. The beach lunch was delicious. The crew helped graciously with every step of the day. It was a highly professionally run company. We saw a lot of coral and a nice variety of fish species. Unfortunately the reef colors are “washed out” due to climate change and if this is the best snorkeling spot in Thailand the oceans are doomed. Sad to see local fishermen fishing out the tiny fish in the snorkel habitat. None of this is the fault of the tour - just some editorializing about the dire future of humanity as we know it. Snorkel now before there’s nothing left to see.

Had a fantastic time today on the Koh Tao Snorkelling trip with One Hundred Degrees East. Staff very friendly and attentive, couldn't do enough for us, and made trip so much fun. Had two snorkeling stops of about 1 hour each over a coral reef with many different types of fish and wildlife. Including in the second place chance to see green turtles in their natural habitat. Day also included refreshments on request and a lovely Thai lunch which we ate on a secluded beach. All in all, it was a great day and fully worth the price paid.
