Koh Tao 2-dive Day Trip From Koh Samui For Certified Divers

Exceptional from the beginning! I contacted them directly through WhatsApp after a recommendation. They sent me a weblink. I booked my needs and paid a deposit. I added a camera and dive computer as an extra. They picked me up from the hotel, took us to the dive centre, completed the paperwork and we were off. They even had prescription mask which saved me a literal headache. Boat trip was around an hour each way. They laugh and joke and chat throughout. Both dives were incredible - I have never seen so much life in every direction. Would 100% recommend.

Very professional organisation, with safety first, good supervising and instruction, nice diving spots and explanations about what to see, underwater life. Very good diving instructor, good food on the boat, transfer from the hotel etc. Everything organized online directly with Discovery Dive Centre.

My daughter throughly enjoyed her diving trip, seeing moray eels, groupers, barracuda and felt safe. And a good lunch. My significant gripe was the disappointing way that the trip was booked. On the website, I was able to select which hotel we were staying at (apparently within their complimentary pick up zone) - it was clearly on the drop down list. I then paid a significant deposit for the trip. Some significant time later, after money changed hands, a message appeared advising me that there would be an additional 1500 Baht for transport to/ from the hotel. They did not back down when challenged. This naturally goes against all sorts of trade descriptions / consumer rights / laws. The outfit apologised for “confusion”, but the only confusion is the way that they seem unaware that they are duping people. We ended up funding taxis to within the revised pick up zone. Suggest be very careful booking… An alternative company, which we have had a very positive experience with, is 100 Degrees East.

General a good organisation of the trip. Staffs and necessary equipment in a really good condition nothing to complain!

I went on another couple of dives with Discovery Divers and had another great experience. They have the best equipment, great dive guides (Filip, Pierre and Nai) and you will have a great day and experience with them. Fantastic communication with timely hotel pick up, pre dive orientation and post dive review to keep your dive log book up to date. They take you to great dive sites. I will be back diving with them in December!

My son and I had truly great time with Tom, our Thai guide, who is a superb diver. The Discovery operation is relaxed and really friendly, yet truly professional. Highly recommended. A fast boat and good lunch. What's not to like.

We had Sami as our dive master today, and she was absolutely outstanding! She guided us to all the special spots in the coral reefs and showed us a variety of beautiful fish. She explained all the steps very carefully, making us feel at ease throughout the experience. We had an amazing time, and they also catered to our dietary needs. A special thanks to OT, who took fantastic pictures and sent us a video of our dives. Thank you, OT!

After my first diving experience in Phuket back in 2007, returning to the waters around Koh Samui was nothing short of amazing. We completed two dives with Discovery Divers and were so impressed that we immediately booked a Sail Rock dive trip with the same instructor. We felt incredibly lucky to have the entire boat to ourselves, along with just one other diver, which made for a truly personalized and relaxed outing. Our dive guide, Otilio, was professional, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at ease. A big shoutout also goes to Samira, the deck master, who was equally attentive and helpful throughout the trip. The quality of service, attention to safety, and the warmth of the staff are exactly why we booked another two dives. We hope to return one day for more underwater adventures. Huge credit to the entire Discovery Divers team and their management. Keep up the excellent work!

The instructors were amazing. I am a beginner diver they made me feel very comfortable and were extremely patient with me. They made the dive a lot of fun! I would definitely go on another dive with them! Wonderful experience all the way around!

Very well run and organised event. The staff was prompt in answering questions via email. The dive briefings were good. The gear in good condition. Experienced dive leads. Recommended.

I had a great experience in the Koh Tao dives. We did two boat dives. There was people from all certification levels from master divers and experienced divers to novices to first time divers. Everyone had a great time and the dives were all safe. We saw an amazing amount of fish, coral, and a ray! Padi certified location. I also got to rent an underwater camera and took a bunch of photos. They have many options for photo opps from a camera rental to a private photographer. We had a great lunch on the boat and soft drinks and water were provided throughout the trip.

As a seasoned diver I have used a fair few different operators over the years and I can honestly say that Discovery divers is right up there with the best of them. We had 2 open water students in the family that were treated amazingly well,Filipe deserves special mention, his enthusiasm, calm nature and superb teaching style really did make the difference. Once our trainees had qualified, we all went on a 2 tank dive day around Ko Toa. Filipe was our guide on this trip and again he demonstrated excellent local knowledge of the site and his ability to find small gems such as nudibranchs was stunning. Our transport to and from the island were fast and comfortable speed boats, lunch was delicious and the complimentary drinks are a nice touch. The boat was well equipped with safety equipment and the crew provided what felt like an enjoyable and safe environment to travel in. Rental equipment is of a high standard, and the whole trip was very good value for money in my opinion. Overall, I would be more than happy to dive with Discovery divers again, and I intend to later this week.

Amazing dives! The instructors were super friendly, helpful, and fun. Everything was taken care of and under control and no doubt they knew what they were doing! Lunch was good and it was overall a great experience! Thank you to my wonderful instructer Man!

I originally came here for a discovery dive last year. After I was certified, I found myself in Koh samui and it was a no-brainer to go back here. The instructors and guides are very knowledgeable, experienced, and fun! The boat crew are super helpful. Lunch was delicious. And also they have a speedboat, which allows you to get where you're going faster! Great place. You won't be disappointed.

These guys operate like a well oiled machine. Everything was well organised and prepared and staff and crew were amazing! Have done many dive tours over the years but this one was top shelf - staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, and had all the gear ready to go and changed tanks and set up new tanks for us for the second dive. Amazing service. Dives were great, although vis not great at first site but the second site definitely made up for it with a plethora of fish and coral to be seen. The second dive blew me away with how many fish we saw! Loved this trip, these guys are 100% professional and the service was next level. Would definitely recommend. Loved our dives

This was a lovely day in Koh Tao! Zoe and her team were as warm as the sun, and the entire trip was seamlessly handled. The dive sites were beautiful. The equipment was clean and well maintained and the beach where we had our lunch break + snorkel was idyllic - with soft white sand, clear turquoise waters, and a tranquil atmosphere. It was the perfect interlude to our diving adventures, allowing us to soak up the beauty both above and below the surface. I highly recommend Discovery dive to anyone looking for an unforgettable diving experience in / around Koh Samui.

Excellent experience. I am a fairly experienced diver but not having gone for a while I was a a bit nervous. Eric suggested that I pay a little extra to have a refresher dive. What a wonderful choice. We sped to Koh Tau island powered by two 250 cc Honda outboard motors. Within just over an hour we reached our first dive site. It only took about 5 minutes of revision in the water for me to feel comfortable. The dive master was patient and kind. Not condescending as some young male dive masters have been in the past ( I am an older female diver). The team on the boat prepared all the equipment which was in good condition and problem free They even helped me on with my fins. I felt like diving royalty being dressed! The dives were great amazing coral and fishes but any dive outfit can take you to a reef. What really made this boat stand out was the care and attention that the crew took with all the divers not just me. Lunch was decent with rice,curry ,veggies and some fried chicken. Plentiful fizzy soft drinks , coke and sprite. Some fresh fruit would have been a nice to take away the salt water taste but that is the only tiny addition I would make to an otherwise flawless trip. Look no further if you want a great dive day.

Pierre was our dive instructor for a two dive trip to koh Tao. He was very clear with communication and gave a quick skill refresher before our first dive. Madeline was the instructor for one person from our group doing DSD. She was also very good in making sure that everyone felt safe and comfortable under water. We saw some great marine life on the trip. We had requested vegetarian food and was provided on the boat. Highly recommend this dive center.

We booked this trip as it combined diving for my son and I and snorkelling for my wife (non-diver). All the staff were brilliant from the initial booking enquiry through to the actual trip. Our dive instructor was Josh who was brilliant. The trip included lunch which we ate on the boat and was very tasty. I highly recommend this trip!

My wife, daughter and I are certified and did two dives with Fisher. Our daughter's three older kids did an introductory pair of dives with Zoe. She was patient and fun with them, helping the younger two a lot to have a good time. Fisher was very good also, taking videos and pictures and guiding us patiently. The boat that brought us was almost new and very up-to-date, as opposed to most of the other dive boats we saw around Koh Tao. Maybe a little more expensive, but c'mon, if you're going all the way to Thailand...

Super day with the Discovery divers team! Dion took care of everything with great professionalism. He made sure we understood the site. He was friendly and caring. So, the dives were a great experience, and Dion was making sure we could see all there was to see. I prefer the first dive at Chumphon pinnacle; it was less crowded and so beautiful. The food was delicious, and the whole team was very nice. Plus, the weather was just awesome!

 A top notch dive center and staff! Patient understanding and always ready to lend a hand and a great lunch to top it all off! 

Sam our dive guide was very friendly and we felt safe underwater with her! Eric the owner was also very helpful with the booking process and communication. Best part of the dive was swimming with the whale shark at chumphon pinnacle!

My girlfriend and I went out snorkelling to Ko Tao with Discovery. The locations were excellent and we saw lots of fish (including many parrot fish, thousands of “Doreys”, but no Nemo :)) a Sting Ray and a Moray eel. Unfortunately my girlfriend got sea sick and she had to skip the second dive. A big thank you to Dion who was leading the trip and really went the extra mile to take care of my girlfriend, even staying with us for 30 mins after the trip to allow her to recover. We really appreciated that.

----- PLEASE READ ----- Eric and Discovery Divers went out of their way to ensure the best possible experience throughout the whole day Scuba diving. They are extremely knowledgable of the local area as they have been in business for over 20 years. I was lucky enough to do three dives of which all were extremely memorable. They picked the best spots for the conditions on the day (highly recommend Sail Rock) along with making our safety of the upmost importance. At no point did I feel pressured or out of my depth as Zoe (Our dive instructor) was consistently checking in to make sure we were okay. If you are lucky enough to have Zoe as your dive instructor you are in for a treat! Zoe was much more than just a dive instructor that day, she not only showed us some of the best dive spots in Thailand but provided us with plenty of local knowledge of different islands including Koh Nang Yuan. The restaurant recommended to us for lunch on Koh Tao was also an absolute winner with lovely food - Thanks Zoe. It was my Birthday on the day of the trip and it will certainly be one of the more memorable ones. Eric also provided me with a T-Shirt as a gift which was the 'icing on the cake'. Overall I couldn't of asked for a more special day. Thank you to the whole team at Discovery Divers especially Eric and Zoe.

We rented a 3 engine boat for our group and we were all convinced that we've made the best choice and decision to book with them. Zoey was awesome and so is Pierre. We went to very good diving and snorkeling spots. We saw a lot of different species of fish, an eagle ray and 2 sharks!!! Zoe guided us in the water and she was very happy to point and name the fishes. It was great for our kids and I. Highly recommended!

What a day out and a great team to go with! The staff were beyond helpful from the moment I arrived and made the trip run very smoothly. Furthermore made better by the jaw dropping beauty of the Koh Tao coastline with great marine life on show. The lunch was very tasty but made better as was served by Pop and his infectious laugh! (You could hear it from 20 meters down) If you want to dive choose discovery! Couldn’t recommend higher.

Sick trip to Koh Tao with Discovery Divers, all the instructors and the boat crew created a funny and comfortable atmosphere on board. They were always helpful offering refreshments all day and even at the pier early in the morning the staff were super friendly and on the ball! The lunch we had was also brilliant, just what you want after being in the sea 😋

Staying at Sheraton- great hotel and stay- collected for Great day diving- highly professional, very friendly, very safety conscious boat team, small numbers and avoiding crowds, helped with every aspect of diving, warm water, delicious lunch and fruit. The sites are all 1-1.5 boat ride - a nice trip to enjoy too. Be prepared for variable viz but team exceptional with finding suitable sites and showing lots underwater. Also fabulous photos underwater to help make the memory last- thank you 5/5 ! Highly recommended team.

My partner and I joined the 2 dive trip to Koh Tao, I was diving and my partner snorkelled. We had such a great day! My scuba master was Yuko from Japan, she was great and we 2 really chilled dives together. My partner snorkelled with Stuart, and I think the 2 of them did more talking than snorkelling 😂 Equipment was all in great condition, boat was great and we had a blast. If we ever go back to Koh Samui, for sure we’ll go back to Discovery again. Cheers guys, Steph and Nathan

Had a really great time, doing trips to Koh Tao and Chumphon Pinnacle. Knowledgeable and courteous dive guides; equipment was excellent. My dive guide Russ was great. Boat crew and captain super helpful. Lunch is provided on the boat in between dives. Plenty of food and drinks. Guides take plenty of photos on every dive and make them available for free after each dive, which is great, especially for those without underwater cameras. Boat condition excellent. They also provide snorkel guides for those without dive certifications. Highly recommend Discovery Dive Centre for anyone looking to dive while in Koh Samui. Overall excellent experience. Thanks for everything.

The boat was crowded and full of all types of snorkel People and levels of divers. They took good care of me and I would return. My divemaster Jaronz was terrific.

We had a great experience with the team at discovery dive completing my Scuba - instructors were all amazing helpful, professional and friendly throughout always making sure we were all ok and watered throughout. Drinks on board were great as well as the fruit and accommodating my dietary needs. They nailed the vegan option which was very much appreciated. Great team who really looked after us and made the experience a memorable one

The highlight of our recent trip to Thailand was our private charter to Koh Tao with Discovery Divers. Stuart was an exceptionally patient teacher for me, who had never dived before, while Dion was able to take my experienced diver husband on a very scenic dive at Shark Island. After a delicious lunch we were able to dive together at Laen Tien. At the end of the trip they gave us some great underwater images from our dives. It couldn’t have gone better and I am grateful to Discovery Divers for making the trip so satisfying for both of us.

We were looking for some adventure in Koh Samui and landed up in Discovery. Eric offered six of us the best deal available which suited our requirements and the experience was exceptional. We experienced the same what we had been committed. The drive to Koh Tao was exceptional in the apes boat. The staff was very accommodating and professional. It was first time for all of us and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Our instructors were very experience and motivating. They give you all the comfort and support. I am not sure about other diving agencies, but i am sure about Discovery that nothing can be better than this. I wish best of luck to Discovery team and would like to see them again when back in Koh Samui.

Diving with Discovery Dive Center in Koh Samui with diver Zoe was an amazing experience for both myself and my teenage son. Very professional and really friendly team

Discovery was an amazing experience right from the start. Everyone at Discovery was super chilled out and passionate about diving. Adequate information was provided at every step of the process, from first enquiry, through booking till the taxi drop home. Taxi that picked us up, was on time and quite comfortable. We were taken to the Dive Center where we met our instructor Guelil, and later on a speedboat. He was super chilled out and very patient, eventhough we were acting like babies. He gave us complete info about the dives, equipment, and other divey things. The dives themselves were amazing, the first location was perfect for panicky first timers like me, and the second spot was very beautiful. Full with colorful fishes, and varied terrain in Full HD. The food served onboard the boat was tasty. The boat staff was super helpful and the pictures taken underwater were also quite nice. All in all, Would do it again!

Excellent experience for both of us. We had had a diving lesson in a pool in London before heading to Thailand and I had dived once before in Australia 10 years ago. The team were all friendly and passionate about diving. The booking process and the dive day itself were both super organised and stress-free. The 2 dive sites were great too. Would definitely recommend.

Been on this service today with the team and it has been BRILLIANT! For someone that isn't the best of swimmers and is actually scared of the open water I was put at ease brilliantly by Stuart with him checking on me all the time (I did the Snorkeling and my partner did the Scuba Diving) he also found the service from Zoe in and out of the water very professional and amazing. Would definetly recommend to anyone looking to do scuba diving or snorkeling as we've both had the best day today with you guys on the boat and the rest of the team and boat team.

They have their own boat, which is full of the most lively and welcoming people. The entire experience from hotel pickup to drop off was hassle free. The boat was full of drinks, food and fruits. Big shout-out to Filip for being a top bloke and an amazing dive buddy. He loves taking pics so if you want loads of pics during the dive, ask for Filip. :) Would definitely dive with you guys whenever I am around again. Cheers!

Very professional dive company with great staff. Had a great day out to koh tao with Guita as my guide, very helpful and always made sure I was fine as I hadn't been in the water for a couple of years. Dive sites were full of marine life, 2 sites were quite different from each other and very interesting corals and fish. Must also mention Stuart made sure the trip ran smoothly and organised the team very well with attention to detail but also a good bit of humour thrown in. Absolute must if you are in Samui.
