Koh Tao & Koh Nangyuan By Speed Boat (Snorkeling Trip From Koh Samui)

Fab trip. The views are amazing, picture book. Well organised and everything provided. Really good value for money .

I'll start by saying that the staff were excellent; friendly, clear on timings, and professional. The day consists of 3 stops - 2 snorkeling stops on Koh Tao (you have the buffet lunch at the second stop), and a stop at the island of Nang Yuan. When I did the trip this week, the first snorkeling stop was not overly pleasant, largely because the water had lots of mini jellyfish. Just be wary of this. I know the company can't control this, and I'm not sure if it was just bad luck, but it put me off a bit. That said, the second and third snorkeling spots were incredible (and jellyfish free), and although I didn't see any turtles or baby sharks, I still saw so much marine life. I could have stayed there for hours but we did have long enough at both. The buffet lunch was excellent and plentiful and we had provided drinks (water and coke) on the boat. You can buy beer at a small cost. The main issue though was the 1.5 hour journey each way on the speedboat. Yes, you can't see a lot (except out of the back), but the problem is that the journey is far from smooth and, unfortunately, a number of people were sick on the return journey. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend this trip. It is too far to go and not a pleasant journey on the boat. The engines are incredibly loud preventing any conversation. If you suffer with motion/sea sickness do yourself a favour and avoid this trip. I'm sad to say this because I was really looking forward to it and the staff were all very good, but I want to post my honest review to help others.

The staff on the boat were really informative and friendly. Adequate time at each each of the 3 snorkeling stops. The lunch was very tasty and plenty of it. Cold water and soft drinks always available.

It was a perfect trip! We saw everything we wanted to see with an amazing guide, we saw baby sharks, a big turtle lots of fishes and beautiful coral. In addition, they had a nice lunch with a chicken option and a vegan option with rice and pineapple and watermelon in the afternoon. The guide was really kind and enthusiastic, he made nice pictures too!

Enjoyable day, not great weather but nothing you can do about that. Lunch was ok, crew should never eat before the guests. They were seated and eating before guests even came up the stairs. Would have been nice to look around Koh Toa but hard to do when we couldn’t have our shoes! BIG TIP, get earplugs for the boat ride unless you want industrial deafness. Totally ruined the day with 3 very loud boat engines for 3 hours!

Fantastic trip. Hotel pickup was right on time. Free breakfast upon arrival. Boat ride to/from islands was great. Crew was exceptional and friendly. Snorkeling was above average. Provide lunch was great.

Good safe snorkelling, lovely islands with fantastic views. Cheap for a trip that takes most of the day, friendly staff.

We did the trip through the hotel, they use K Sea speed Boats. It was 2200bht each and included transfers to and from the dock, 3 stops for snorkeling, a choice to kayak, and lunch. National park fees are extra @250bht. We went this route, which is pricier, to avoid overcrowded boats. The trip is 1 1/2 hours each way. All three snorkeling spots were great with lots of marine life to see. Lunch was soup, fried chicken and a mild curry stir fry with fresh fruit for dessert. Guide Thai was with us the whole way and very helpful. Boat crew was attentive. Only a 4 because we were picked up at 8 am and then waited until 9 to depart even though all guests were there.

Amazing value and some of the best snorkelling we have ever done, and we have done Mexico, Jamaica, Hawaii, etc. Super friendly staff, amount of time spent at each location was long enough to explore but not too long to get bored. Put together nicely and well organized. Lunch was also excellent at a cool non-commercial location. Highly recommended!

Amazing day. Well organised. Good lunch. Water provided. Good boat. The snorkelling was phenomenal around coral with so many tropical fish. Brilliant trip

I had booked for Snorkelling event but the agency did not knew anything and they offered me nothing charging me for it,it should be more professional and should value customers time as the site mentioned it was Snorkelling event I travelled all the way from Bangkok for the same.very bad experience

The staff were great, but the boat was so crampt. Both my knees and shoulders were squished in place which is not great with an hour and a half to run each way. Also the windows are well above eye level so you can't enjoy the journey unless you have the space to stand up. I think trip advisor said the tour started at 8am but we didn't set off until about 9am. This meant there wasn't much time at the first island, if we hadn't rushed up the walk to the lookout we wouldn't have had time to get in the water at all (were huge queues behind us). Buffet lunch was really tasty with a nice view. They sell very basic beach/rock shoes which aren't needed but give good peace of mind as some of the coral is within reach. The option to bob around in life jackets is good, as two of the spots are deep and a little tiresome as you're in the water for over 30 minutes. Also be careful of the waterproof phone cases they sell, great idea but mine was starting to leak towards the end of the day.

An unnecessary and touristic tour. Very expensive for the value. Wasting a whole day on nothing important. They spin you around the island for hours in places where there are no fish and you don't see anything with the snorkel. Save yourself the money, go down to every beach with a snorkel and see in half an hour everything that is shown on this unnecessary tour.

Incredible snorkelling! Had an amazing day and saw so much. Guide was fun and helpful and helped us make the most of the day.

Islands were ok. Had about 40 people aboard. A large group from Taiwan made up most of the boat, it was a little more hectic than I gather a regular tour would be. Tour guides didn’t really do a good job explaining the itineraries so the guests were asking each other what was happening We had a shared lunch with about 80 people and it was just Ok. A lot Of pushing and shoving for food

Great experience !!! Nice team , lots of food and drinks. They really cared for the guests. The landscape was also beautiful and we could see hundreds of different fish!!

This trip is valuable for us, we have compared with others before booking and this company is the most reasonable price from what we found. We get picked up on time from the hotel, we did 2 times of snorkeling and visited the incredible view at Koh Nang Yuan. They provided light meal at the pier before boarding, lunch at the beach restaurant, and drinking water all the way. So, we would definitely recommend this trip to our friends.

The tour is well organized and the crews are really nice. It is worth for one day trip when you visit Koh Samui. We walked up to the view point with stunning view at Koh Nang Yuan that would prefer to have longer time on this island.

250k park fee plus deckchair umbella included...it was not...dont advertise that because not true. You lied.

The speedboat trip was somewhat overrated. You were in a speedboat where you couldn't see anything, banging at 90km an hour over the water which was pretty intense. Luckily they wanted to go back because of our daughter and my wife. Snorkeling was ok, not very many fish seen, but some small blue, some yellow and some coral. Was ok, but not super. Food was thick fine, the viewpoint Nangyuan you were in traffic for the top for all the same picture. View was nice though. Other children liked it, in short just enough

Superb day, the day passed too fast especially in the afternoon compared to the morning. We did some great dives. The people on the boat were very nice.

The excursion was well taken care of to perfection. Transfer, breakfast, speedboat ride, three beautiful places snorkeling, lunch and leisure. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended!

We were picked up in the morning by a driver on time. At the pier we had a small breakfast. That really appealed to us. When we took a seat on the speedboat, we were a bit startled how tight it is there. Unfortunately, you couldn't look out on the ride either, unless you stand. The crew then also sold water shoes. We felt that was money-making. Except on Koh Nuan Yuan, these were not necessary. The snorkel stops were good, but really not outstanding. The whole thing is pretty touristy. We thought that was a bit of a shame, because you had to wait in line longer on Koh Nuan Yuan to get to the viewpoint, as it was super crowded. The setting is really beautiful on Koh Nuan Yuan, only the beach consists of broken corals. You have to be pretty careful not to hurt yourself.

Am ersten Schnorchelspot waren wir das einzige Boot (obwohl viele Boote unterwegs waren). Viele verschiedene Fische gesehen.

The experience itself is good, the site is spectacular (like almost any place in Thailand) and both the diving experience and the beaches are magnificent. The problem is that it is a 1.50 hour boat trip. We were caught in a storm on the way back and the experience was quite scary, almost 2 hours of strong waves with rain and cold... I would pay attention to the weather and if there was any risk, I would leave it for another day. There are excursions closer to Ko Samui such as Pig Island that can be reached in a short time and also has diving activities. However, and although the experience was not the best due to this storm, the treatment of the guides and the islands were amazing. I hope to help future travelers.

Superb family day to discover the seabed and fish of Thailand! Perfect organization (we don't suffer at all from the large number of people participating in the excursion), super friendly guides and the possibility of snorkeling all day long, or relaxing on a pretty white sand beach in the morning. Free breakfast upon arrival in the morning and meal in a very pretty restaurant overlooking the coral of Ko Tao (the children were able to observe the fish from the terrace!) To do!

Sehr nette Reiseleitung, besser gehts nicht. Beste klare Gewässer mit atemberaubender Artenvielfalt im zauberhaften Korallenriff. Achtung, für den Transport mit dem Speedboot sollte man sich bei etwas rauerer See als seetüchtig erweisen. Sogar ich musste mein Frühstück fast wiederkäuen 😆 Bei dem straffen Zeitplan gibts nur Vollgas, das verstehe ich völlig👍

Es war ein sehr schöner Tag. Hat alles prima geklappt. Vor der Fahrt gab es ein kleines Frühstück, das war ausreichend da man ja dann auf das Boot ging. Wir hatten Glück und das Meer war ruhig. Es war eine angenehme Fahrt die 1,5 Std. dauerte. Der Ausflug ist sein Geld wert. Schnorcheln war super, leider keine Schildkröte gesehen dafür Fische in allen Farben.
