Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary In Samui

Exceptional afternoon………………………………………………………………..it was worth every penny and I would do it all again.

Wow what an experience. Everything about the day we spent here was perfect. If you’re looking for an amazing day then this is it!!! For the price you pay, I think it was very good value for money. Not only does it include pickup, but it includes drink upon arrival, they take photos on your phone throughout, lunch is included (which was lovely!) and at the end they put together a video of your day and provide this free of charge!! The staff was extremely friendly, they go through facts about elephants at the start, introduce you to all the elephants they have in their care and tell you all about the characteristics too which was lovely to know. we loved preparing the snacks for the elephants and feeding them. They then take you to the jungle where the elephants free roam which was also amazing. (I woul recommend covering up as even with repellent on seconds before we went in, I came out bitten to death so bare this in mind) you then come back to have some lunch which was really tasty, then finally you get to hose down the elephants which was also a great addition to the day. Lovely day spent and loved knowing that the price we paid goes towards the care of these beautiful animals. Thank you for this special day!

The friendley staff are doing a great job to make it very interesting also for our grandchildren who had a great day it is absolute a must to see and to support the hole setup

We had an amazing time at Samui Elephant Home. The activity started with a great introduction to the days plans where we also learned about the elephants at the sanctuary. Then we were able to feed and walk around with the Elephants. It was so amazing to be so up close and personal! Our favorites were Lucky and his mother Maria. Such a joy to be around. This was a 10/10 experience if you are an Elephant lover.

Warm welcome by the team. Perfect English. Nice Experience from interesting facts about the grey giants to preparing food and feeding them. We also liked bringing out the pumpkin seeds in the habitat.

Brilliant day out, we had 2 young children with us, both really enjoyed the experience. Staff are amazing and really care for the elephants.

This was such an amazing experience . So informative and so reassuring that sanctuaries like this exist to look after these amazing animals. We had such a great time preparing the elephants food, feeding them , watching them forage and have mud baths then getting to wash them down Our guides were terrific and ending with a great meal Thoroughly loved this

Wow what an amazing day! Such a unique experience with wonderful staff. We had the opportunity to make protein rich food to feed the elephants, walk with them as they roam in their beautiful forested land, plant seeds to grow more food and wash then down after they played in the mud. This was one of our most memorable holiday activities ever

Very friendly tour guide and enjoyed the 3 hour trip , crowsize was small and lovely staff. Good for family visit, food was simple and very good. Food preparation and feeding the elephants was very special It's clearly visible they love their elphants so much and give good care

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Special Experience at Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui! This was honestly one of the highlights of our time in Samui! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and looked after by an amazing team. A huge thank you to Fang, Minny, Bestie, Molly, and Thicha. You all made this experience so enjoyable, and your friendliness, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm really made a difference. What stood out to me most was how much care and dedication goes into looking after the elephants. The caretakers are a truly special group of people, and you can see the commitment and love they put into their work. It was wonderful to learn from them and get a better understanding of the elephants and their care. The whole experience felt personal, relaxed, and incredibly informative. Every question was met with patience and helpful answers, and the team made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just another tour group. That personal touch is what makes a place memorable. The tour was also excellent value for money, and I left feeling that the experience was worth every penny. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful and memorable day! I wasn't sure what to expect in respect of the sanctuary itself and it didn't disappoint. A very well kept and looked after set up for the elephants, for all nine that are currently housed there. It is clear there is a real passion for the welfare of these animals that have mostly been either mistreated or overworked. Bestie was a great guide and the team that supported her were very helpful and clearly loved the elephants. The visit included making food balls, feeding the elephants, visiting them in the jungle environment, planting food, bathing them and a video.... We were also provided a basic lunch, which to be fair was delicious. The trip was definitely worth doing and I would highly recommend a visit.

Awesome experience, very informative and interactive

Had a wonderful time at the Samui Elephant Home with Bestie being a fantastic guide as well as the rest of the crew. We got a lesson on elephants, made them snacks, fed them, walked with them in their open and free habitat and washed them. What magnificent animals and what a great work they’re doing. The lunch was delicious as well and they surprised us with video shots of all of us interacting with the elephants. Definitely recommend doing this, without a doubt.

My wife and I visited Elephant Home twice during our 1st trip to Koh samui. Initially just a short morning trip then the half day. Feeding the elephants and learning about their lives was epic. Bestie tour guide such an amazing lady and so funny and kind. Impeccable place and so respectful of the magnificent elephants. Maria, Som boon, Lucky, Dao, granny Angie, Princess- Kamlai, all beautiful. The caretakers are amazing and care so much. The elephant sanctuary experience was amazing. The guide & staff are friendly & provided a good history of the 9 elephants, who are well looked after. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the experience! The tour guides were very professional and made it very fun and enjoyable time learning about elephants.

The experience was amazing. The guides were so knowledgeable and friendly and made the day informativeand fun. Hearing the stories about the elephants in their care was heartbreaking and eye opening. The guides and handlers are doing a wonderful job. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend it

We got to hear a history of each elephant and a bit about their personalities. We prepared their food and discussed their nutritional needs. Saw them in a natural area. The elephants are respected and treated with utmost care for their mental emotional and physical heath. I experience myself and my partner will remember for a life time. Staff was friendly funny and very helpful. Loved it

The Elephant Sanctuary experience was amazing. Was fantastic to hear about the operation, where the elephants had come from, preparing food for them and feeding them, walking through their jungle habitat, and watching how they respected and trusted their human carers. The only disappointment I have is that we were picked up in a 4x4 truck which made the 40 minute ride very uncomfortable, to then arrive and find other people had been picked up in lovely air conditioned vans.

Love to know samui Elphant Home, see the animals in their habitat in a respectful way, prepare their food and feed them. It was a good experience to share with the family

A great half day experience learning about the incredible work the sanctuary team do to rescue and protect the elephants.

An amazing experience, felt very comfortable at this sanctuary and confident that it was ethically managed. Learnt so much about these amazing animals from Lisa who was a fantastic guide. It was wonderful to see elephants in beautiful surroundings. We made food, seed bombs and had a wonderful lunch after feeding and observing. Before booking, I did really extensive research on which elephant sanctuary was truly the most ethical and authentic experience. It was clear that Samui Elephant Home exists truly to save the Elephants from harm, to give them the life they deserve, and not just cater to tourists. They’ve created a space for education, and conservation that is accessible to all to take part in. We truly had such a fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, through each thoughtful activity, we felt like time flew by because of how captivated we were by not only the elephants, but also the staff. You can see how much they care about what they do. All of our guides had wonderful English and were so kind about answering all of our questions. We really enjoyed hearing guide Bestie’s introduction and back story on each elephant and how they came to the sanctuary. Lisa was our main guide for the rest of the day and walked us through preparing snacks for our new elephant friends, then along with her interns Mint and Fang, took us for a walk with the elephants out in the field where they explained in great detail what we were seeing. The day ended with a delicious lunch and smiles on everyone’s faces! Thank you so much Bestie, Lisa, Mint, Fang, and all of the handlers at Samui Elephant Home! You guys are the best💙

We had a fantastic experience at the Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Koh Samui! What impressed us most was how genuinely they put the elephants’ well-being first. The staff were very knowledgeable, caring, and clearly passionate about the animals, while the relatively small group size made the experience personal and relaxed. It was wonderful to see the elephants treated with respect and allowed to behave naturally. Highly recommended—definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

We had a lovely experience and it was amazing to see the elephants so close up. We learned so much about elephants and the ones they have rescued are adorable! It was very hot in the jungle area so ensure to take sunscreen and a fan/water. The only disappointing thing was that half way through the tour, Bestie, stopped and asked us whether we were happy with the interns who were supporting the tour as they had informed her that we were not happy with them. We wholeheartedly had no idea what they were talking about and were SO confused, we then saw one of the interns crying, this put a downer on our experience as we genuinely didn’t have any concerns or issues, we were completely perplexed and it was just a sad ending to the tour, still now we have no idea why the interns mentioned this to Bestie.

If you want to get up close and personal with these amazing animals, I highly recommend booking this tour. 🐘❤️ We were so impressed with the entire experience and the wonderful staff. Everyone was so informative, kind, caring and relaxed, which made the whole experience even more special. I actually found myself crying during the tour. It felt incredibly spiritual and peaceful knowing that these beautiful elephants had been rescued from logging and riding and are now living a much better life, receiving the love and care they deserve. Drinks were provided throughout the tour, followed by a lovely meal at the end. They even provided us with a free video of the day, which was such a wonderful keepsake. What an amazing experience. It’s very clear that the team here care passionately about these elephants they have rescued and are determined to make sure the rest of their lives are lived in freedom and tranquility. The guides are knowledgable and whilst it is not a hands on experience you really do get up close and personal.

Incredible, ethical experience! Prepared food, fed and observed them in their environment and sprayed the elephants with water to cool. All staff were knowledgeable about each elephant and shared key facts.

The people love the elephants and treat them very well and are very kind to them. The elephants are also very friendly and kind to the kids and love there food.

Such a great activity with such amazing, passionate staff. We learnt the background of all the elephants at the sanctuary, made them food, fed them, saw them in their natural environment and finished the activity with a lovely lunch. Highly recommend this activity.

They did such a great job making the whole day feel super personalised to us, and you walk away really feeling like you made a direct, positive impact on these elephants' lives. ​Honestly, what struck us most was how genuine the guides were. They weren’t after your money they just genuinely cared about educating us and asking us to spread the word about proper elephant care. ​Making the food and feeding them was so much fun, and everything flowed really smoothly without us ever feeling rushed. Finishing off with a lovely lunch to just sit and digest the day was the perfect touch. ​Loved their honest approach, too: "We don’t claim to be the best [best would be elephants not in captivity], but the best we can offer these elephants." ​If you're in Samui, definitely go support them! Great for all ages.

Amazing experience where the elephants come first. A very enjoyable morning learning about these rescued elephants and the care they receive. We learnt so much that we will remember for a lifetime. We had a great family day out. The elephants are well cared for and looked after. It's a great close up experience and we learnt a lot about elephants. Very hands on as we prepared the food and then fed the elephants. Cooled them down with water. The staff were great and kept us well fed and hydrated. Definitely worth the experience.

Wife, my 21 year old son and I spent half day at the Elephant Home Sanctuary. We got a little bit of the history on each of the 9 elephants, the we made food for them , we then fed the elephants , took pictures , and give them their bath. A beautiful experience. The sanctuary looks after the elephants in a very respectful way.

The most amazing experience I have ever experienced in my life at 38 years old. I went with my husband and my 5 year old who was in heaven. He was a little scared at first but the tour guides were amazing making him feel comfortable and getting the most out of the experience. The whole experience from making the food for the elephants, to feeding them and padding them, amazing to see they can roam in the jungle attached to the care centre to the food and tour guides were 10/10 if I could give them a higher score I would. Highly recommend. It’s a great experience, the guides clearly genuinely care about the elephants and are hugely knowledgeable. The experience was thorough and informative, with close-up encounters with the elephants both in feeding them and in just watching their behaviour.
