This exceeded all of my expectations and I couldn’t recommend this more highly! If you’re staying in Koh Samui and you’re looking for an authentic Thai cooking class experience, this is a must-visit. My partner and I visited and had a fantastic time preparing four traditional dishes using local ingredients (many of which were from the surrounding garden!) The meals we made were some of the best Thai food we’ve ever eaten. Geng, his wife and the other staff were very friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again in future.

Brilliant guides, amazing food. The guides are super knowledgeable and so passionate about their craft that you get swept up in the beauty of the cooking. Can’t recommend this enough, probably the best activity we’ve done in Thailand so far and easily the best green curry I’ve ever had.

What a great experience this was. From start to end we were treated like guests by the whole team. We were picked up and taken to the venue, then Grace took us to the local market. Grace was so friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job. We then went back to the venue and were welcomed by the whole team in a lovely friendly way! We were told all about the local produce and how to prepare coconuts on a tratitional grater ( a rareity now) and then got stuck into the cookery class. Wow… what an amazing experience. Started with a tour and education session on the ingredients we were using in the cooking class with Chef Geng.. then next stop the cooking school hosted along with his wife, son and team. The food was amazing and we learnt so much about what and how to cook our dishes. Plus we got the recipes as well. Highly recommend this. Best cooking class on Koh Samui.

We had such an amazing experience and would highly recommend this cooking class! We started with a guided tour of a local market with Grace, which was absolutely fascinating! She introduced us to many different ingredients, including herbs, curry pastes, fish, and vegetables, some of which we had never seen before. She explained everything in detail and showed us how these ingredients are used in traditional Thai cooking. A big thank you to Grace for such an interesting and authentic market tour! Afterwards, we headed to the cooking class, where we got to prepare all the dishes ourselves with excellent guidance. We made delicious Pad Thai, an absolutely fantastic coconut soup, and a traditional Thai dessert. Everything tasted incredible! One of the highlights was that we even got to make our own fresh coconut milk from scratch! It was such a fun and unique experience. We also got to try coconut sugar for the first time, which was really interesting. At the end, we even received all the recipes so we can recreate these delicious dishes at home! It was a truly wonderful and authentic experience. We learned so much about Thai food and culture, had lots of fun, and enjoyed every single moment. We would definitely do it again! An absolute highlight of our trip! If you’re visiting Koh Samui, do not skip this cooking class, you will regret it if you do! Our host and chef Geng was an absolute gem. From the fascinating market tour learning how to pair herbs and vegetables with traditional Thai dishes, to cooking in his beautiful open air kitchen using fresh ingredients straight from his family garden, every moment felt genuinely authentic. Geng shared his family’s cooking traditions and even trusted us with a secret sauce recipe passed down from his grandmother. The kitchen was spotless and the food we created was absolutely delicious. What really set this apart was Geng’s warmth, humour and genuine passion for what he does. His team were equally wonderful, helpful and polite. Geng also knew we were celebrating my sister’s 60th birthday and surprised us with a cake and happy birthday sing along, such a thoughtful touch that made the day even more memorable. We left with full bellies and beautiful memories. An experience that truly represents the heart of Thai culture. Book it. You won’t regret it. 🙏

What a fantastic experience, the whole team were so friendly; a really well organised half day trip starting out with a tour round a local produce market, followed by time in the kitchen cooking (and eating!) amazing Thai food. Thoroughly recommended.

Geng, O and the team were so amazing today. They fed us with so much food and information we went home mind and bellies full!! The whole process was so easy and affordable, definitely do this class without a question! We booked last minute just a couple and they were very happy and accommodating to us. Their cooking space was very clean and hygiene was super important which was great to feel. The semi outdoor cooking space overlooking their lush garden full of ingredients you use to cook is an added bonus. 100/10 do this class!

This was one of our favorite experiences while we were in Koh Samui. Geng was funny, knowledgeable, & helpful. We made authentic Koh Samui Thai food that was really good & relatively easy to prepare. The staff was helpful & accommodating. Perfect little excursion for my best friend & I. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience. We loved it. Cooking glasses were hosted by a lovely family with genuine care and enthusiasm, who coached us to cook the most delicious of food. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough.

A fantastic cooking class. Tour through the local market with Grace was well informed and interesting. The hospitality and friendliness of the whole team on arrival was fantastic. Very professional operation. Geng is a great presenter and knowledgeable about food and excited to pass down his family knowledge. And the food was amazing! Fresh simple and delicious with enough to take home. Eat lunch there and have left overs for dinner! Would book again

Me and my fiancé had an amazing time at the Go Samui Cook today. The day was very well organised with efficient pick up and a nice tour around a local market when you learn about the local produce you then later cook with. The team have everything prepped and weighed out for you so you are never waiting for anything. They are also on hand to answer any questions or help when/if you get stuck. There was only 5 people in our class today and was a great atmosphere as everyone got on really well! This is great for couples, families and individuals as everyone cooks their own food! It was a most enjoyable learning and cooking experience with such a friendly and informal teaching team. The recipes are simple and the food I cooked was absolutely delicious ! The venue was airy and clean and everything laid out nicely for us to cook . Strongly recommend.

We had a good time. Hosts were lovely. Was a small group of international guests. Enjoyed the cook, the company and the environment. The small meals we cooked ourselves were very nice as well. Not a concern for us but they catered for halal and vegetarians and queried whether anyone had allergies. I recommend not eating before you go and if you do the afternoon booking, you may not need dinner.either.

Geng and his team were amazing. The experience from start to finish was just a delight to be part of. Market tour - learnt a lot from this and bought prawns to add to the dishes. We had a wonderful cooking class today, very friendly, helpful, and cheerful staff, we would highly recommend, we had a fun time and the food was delicious.

100% 5-star reviews thoroughly deserved. From pick up to Grace showing us the market to Geng, O and team guiding us through cooking this is a must do activity. Even with the prep done for us, it was real cooking - not just watching - and surprising how the same dish can taste different cooked by different people. Menu choice was perfect and Geng was the most entertaining host. Would 100% do again.

This was one of the highlights! Very nice people and very nice and good cooking class. They have different menu's during the week. The trip to the market was interesting and educational as well. Vegan and Vegetarian on the spot if you like.

Geng and O were amazing teachers! The class felt very personal, with each person having their own station to cook at. The food itself was phenomenal (probably some of the best Thai food we had throughout our stay). We were in the 2PM group and ended up not eating dinner because of how much food we were able to make / eat. We were even provided with takeaway boxes if you did not finish your food! Highly recommend this class!

We had an absolutely exceptional experience at Go Samui Cook and was one of the highlights of our trip to Koh Samui. The whole experience was incredibly well organised, informative and, most importantly, great fun. We learnt so much about Thai ingredients, flavours and traditional cooking techniques, and had the opportunity to cook four delicious dishes ourselves. Geng, Grace and the team were all fantastic — so knowledgeable, friendly and patient, explaining everything clearly and making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. This cooking class was one of the highlights of our honeymoon trip to Thailand! The booking process was smooth and even though our hotel wasn't listed, the transportation was still coordinated for our timely pickup which made arrival to the location seamless and stress-free. The kindness and enthusiasm of all hosts made the experience engaging and so much fun to participate in. I was impressed at how much preparation they'd done to provide top notch service during the lesson so that stations were kept clean and perfectly stocked as we cooked. The small group size allowed it to still be personal but at an excellent price point. There was a lot of value packed in when you consider transportation, market visit, education, ingredients (fresh from the garden no less!), expertise AND multiple courses of food. It was special to learn more about the culture and cook an authentic family recipe. This ended up being one of our best and most favorite meals on the island and we even got to take recipes home to re-create the day. Highly recommend if you're visiting Koh Samui!

It was a perfect day from pick up to drop off. Everything was so well or and such a beautiful setting to cook in. Geng was very entertaining as he shared some special secrets for Thai cooking and gave us very detailed instructions on how to make dishes. They all came out like restaurant quality we were so delicious. It was also fun getting to experience the market and see the variety of foods to choose from. The entire crew was so friendly and helpful every step of the way. I highly recommend this cooking class if you are in Koh Samui

The cooking class with Geng and his family was a lovely experience. The pickup from our hotel by Geng’s uncle was very good, the market visit with Grace was very interesting. Very simple with everything taken care of! The staff were lovely, especially Grace! The food was absolutely delicious and did not require any skill to participate. It was lovely to be able to cook from ingredients – 70% from the premise.

When traveling we often try to do a local cooking class and I can honestly say that this was by far the best we’ve done. We were collected from the villa at the exact agreed pickup time in a luxury minivan and taken to a small local market to check out the different foods we’d be cooking with. There was only the 4 of us booked in for the afternoon session so we had the full attention of Geng and the team. The menu we cooked was delicious and not too challenging. We left completely full! The team was extremely friendly and helpful and our kids really enjoyed the experience.
