Did the Vermont Nature trail and had a great time. Pickup was punctual. Fraser is a safe driver and very knowledgeable about rainforest flora and fauna. He took his time and pointed out all the types of plants and trees. We were lucky enough to both hear and see a flock on parrots fly overhead with bright yellow streaks. Will be a treasured memory. The hike itself is muddy and steep in places, but I would not call it difficult.
Fraser will make your experience the highlight of your visit to the island. He is reasonably priced, (nearly half the cost of Sandals), clean vehicles with snacks, waters & Beer. He knows his topography, plants, wild life (parrots), had hiking sticks, & rain gear for us when it rained. He paced our hike to our age and ability. We made it to the top of the mountain and saw parrots flying against the jungle mist. He listens well and made excellent observations about the jungle and how the Vinceys' manage this resource and it's impact on the island. The drive from Sandals took nearly an hour then we hiked for another 3 or so both up and back to the vehicle. Fraser made this hike an exceptional one and we've hiked all sorts of trails. This rain forest trail wouldn't have been the same without Fraser!
A great trail in the rainforest of St. Vincent! Fraser was patient, interesting, thought-provoking, and eager for all of us to see the native birds. Even though we were running very late (due to circumstances beyond his control), Fraser didn't leave out any of the locations we were to see, and extended the tour so we could enjoy the island. The trail WAS strenuous, which wasn't in any of the descriptions, so you might want to do something else if you're not in proper shape for an up-and-down hike, often in the mud. But HUGE fun.
Fraser was a very good guide. He could not do enough for us. He was very knowledgeable about the fauna, trees and the animals on the trail. He was very friendly, amusing and a safe driver and he knew a lot about St Vincent. I would definitely recommend Fraser and take another of his tours.
Frasure took me on a guided hike up to the summit of La Soufriere volcano. Such a memorable trip. The knowledge he has of the area is top notch. The trip was phenomenal. His prices so are fair compared to the resorts. I 100% recommend.
Hiking through the rainforest and learning about all the plantlife. We were only able to get a fleeting view of a parrot, but still worth it. Frasier was very informative and was a fantastic hiking guide. We felt we really got an appreciation for St. Vincent. Comfortable taxi and excellent beer and rum punch.
An excellent tour to Vermont Nature Trail. Fraser was informative, kind and helpful. We highly recommend touring with him.
This tour is amazing. You learn so much about St.Vincent from fraser who keeps feeding you all sorts of information. Important buildings, the beaches and the beautiful scenery. You have excellent WiFi that works on the bus as you are travelling around this amazing island.
Very good time on the trail. Fraser is very well prepared. And I hope to book with him again. If you are in SVG, findFraser.
Fraser is pretty darn cool! He brought snacks, waters and jackets for this hike! Would recommend!!!!
Great tour with Fraser who has extensive local knowledge and always has packed anything we may need on our adventure. Highly recommend!
Today we went with Fraser on the trail and had so much fun! The trail was very accessible to all ages and was amazing to go through the forest and see all the different species of plants and tree. Fraser was very knowledgeable about everything and more to do with the trail and could answer every question we had. He also took excellent photos of us which we will always have to remember the trip by. Afterwards as an extra we went to a river to swim in which was a lot of fun and the water was so clean and clear. He is also an excellent driver and you always feel extremely safe driving with him. Overall we had a great trip with Fraser and would highly recommend to anyone going to St Vincent to go with Fraser!
Fraser is a very friendly and welcoming tour guide who can answer every question you have a about St. Vincent - the culture, people, nature and industries. The tour itself takes about 3 hours and includes drinks and snacks. After the tour we had a beer and a little swim in a river along the way. We also had the best Mango ever at the lookout. Can definitely recommend him!
I highly recommend Frazier’s Taxi and Tours. I had a terrific experience visiting the Vermont Nature Trail as well as Buccaneer Beach. Frazier has thought of everything in advance, snacks, liquids, bathroom breaks and meals so I don’t have to worry about anything. Frazier knows the island like the back of his hand. He knows all the short cuts to avoid traffic jams so I can make the most of my vacation. This was my second trip with Frazier’s Taxi and Tours and I would happily book another.
Fraser knows this island like the back of his hand and EVERYONE knows who he is. That's how popular he is in St. Vincent. He explains the significance of the land, buildings, the people and towns as he drives through to the Vermont Nature Trails and back. He has all the snacks and drinks you want! He's truly the best tour operator I've experienced while here for the past few weeks.
Fraser was incredibly attentive and able to accurately predict the needs of his clients. Warm, welcoming, and eager to share the history that's surrounds his beautiful home. Competitively priced and treats his clients like family. Loves his international medical students, travelers, and anyone looking for fun and adventure.
We had a great trip with Frazer, amazing rain forests, and a great swim in the waterfalks afterwards. Frazer was great company and full of interesting information. Magic day. We will be booking another trip soon!
We were supposed to do the volcano tour on March 20 but due to flight changes we had to "settle" for the Vermont Nature Trail on March 19th. It ended up being such a delightfully surprising wonderful day with Fraser! He did not disappoint! His warm smile welcomed us at the ferry terminal where he picked us up with all our luggage. He had snacks ready for us. As we wound our way through the colorful Saturday farmer's market, Fraser gave us a running commentary about all we were seeing. It was so interesting! The Vermont trail was also very worth seeing. It rained off and on all afternoon, which made the temperature very comfortable. The trails were muddy and fun! Fraser is extremely knowledgeable and stops to point out all the different flowers and trees. He's also a passionate steward of the land. We took our time and really took notice of the beauty throughout the trail. Fraser adapted to our pace. We could have simply hiked in a lot shorter time but he offered the luxury of observation and exploration. He also stopped to pick up bbq on our way to the bnb. Fraser was attentive, friendly, passionate and simply a delight to spend the day with! Thank you, Fraser!!
Highly recommended. We did the Vermont nature trail, some operators drop you at the gate and leave you to it, but not Fraser, who was a well prepared, very knowledgeable, and entertaining guide, which made it a truly memorable excursion. He warned us it might be wet - it's a rainforest after all! But we didn't have lightweight rain jackets. No matter, he lent us a pair. He even had a spare pair of beach shoes to lend me after the trip, as I got my trainers mud trashed. Add to that all the info stops on the way, explanations of local habits and customs ;), and provision of free local fruit and drinks - and a very fair price for the trip, cheaper than others I'd looked at. Give him a call and he'll talk you through everything and sort out a pick up spot. İf we're lucky enough to return to St Vincent we'll definitely be giving Fraser a call again. He's done the volcano many times, he'd be my man for that!
Fraser was a really fabulous guide, incredibly prepared with everything we needed, including water shoes for me, and a delicious mango from his tree. The Vermont Trail is also beautiful. Highly recommended.
We reserved a guided hike through the beautiful and lush rain forest. This was a memorable experience. Our guide Lewis educate us about many of the plants and trees in the forest and we ate the most delicious mango after the hike. We also booked for a transfer up to Richmond Vale and during the drive up the Leeward Coast, Lewis filled the trip with interesting personal stories and facts about the different villages we passed through. We also had a tasty lunch at the restaurant at the Pirates of the Caribbean movie set. All in all, excellent and personable service!
Great tour with Fraser! We got told a lot about the island on the way to the Vermont Trail. There were bananas and melon to snack on and to finish at Fraser's Rumpunch beach. The Vermont Trail is mega interesting, but you should be good on foot. There are roots everywhere and it goes up mountains for minutes. You will get explained many plants along the way and with good luck you will see parrots. You don't need a headgear and backpack and you can leave it on the bus at Fraser's. You get a walking stick. There are clean toilets on the Vermont Trail. Reverse is held on the beach. Unfortunately, this is not so nice and you should go left towards the hotel beach and rather there into the water or rent a lounger with the locals for the hour.
It was a great trip. There were only three of us and the trip took place anyway. It was very personal and informative. Thank you again
Super great tour with Fraser's taxi and tours of the rainforest. You have to do it. The tour was conducted by the boss personally. Very informative and funny. Mr Fraser always had a funny saying in store. We were only a small group of 8 people. The collection from the port worked flawlessly. Everything super organized. We would do the tour again immediately and can highly recommend it.
We booked the rainforest tour Vermont Nature Trail with Fraser's taxi and tours and were absolutely right. At the meeting point, the boss personally awaited us with Fraser to take our group on an exciting trip on a nature trail with lots of information. At every corner he had interesting information about plants and their use and answered the questions of the participants with a lot of background knowledge. Some funny anecdotes were also included, so we could learn a lot about the island, the people and nature. After the Nature Trail we went down to a beach as you imagine it on the postcards. Few people, white sand, wonderful water and nice bars in the background, some music and good mood. We tried his favourite bar with great views of the beach on the recommendation of Mr Fraser. With a few cocktails and a few local specialties, we enjoyed ourselves. The time was enough for both the snack and the beach. After a final Frasers special rum punch we went back to the starting point. All in all a successful tour with Mr Fraser, who gave us a wonderful day.
Fraser Taxi cancelled our tour the same day. Another taxi company came to warn us 10 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time!
A fantastic trip in a comfortable minivan, 2 hours through the rainforest with lots of explanations from the boss himself. We were in a small group and even our lazy children loved the tour on the trail. 😉Afterwards we had a refreshment and a cool down on the beach, a great day! 👍🏻
Personally accompanied by the very humorous and competent boss. Waterfall and mud baths are also recommended.
Nice and interesting walk through the rainforest on a paved path with many steps up and down. Easy to do and nice and cool in the shade of the trees. Here you can walk the entire course instead of just half of it, with a small group, and for half the price of the cruise company. They are neatly waiting at the cruise terminal. The transportation is luxurious and Fraser is an excellent guide who tells a lot. Had a nice day. Can recommend this tour to everyone.
Better late to write a review than never. To make a long story short, we were picked up in a very comfortable off-road taxi. We had Mr. Fraser himself as our guide, just our family, and the tour was part of a six-week Caribbean vacation on various islands and it was the absolute highlight. Many others who did the same route with an organization experienced much less because it was explained or shown less and the groups were often much too large.
Keine 24 Stunden vor Ausflugsbeginn wurde uns per e-mail die Buchung storniert. Toller Service......
Super tour with our guide Eresto. He walked the trail with us, unlike the other vendors who drop their guests off at the entrance, and explained many things. Then we went to the Buccament River, where we could cool off extensively. Highly recommended. The tour was announced with 5 hours, we were traveling for almost 7 hours.
We booked our day trip with Fraser Taxi in advance by email. We were warmly welcomed by Loui and then drove our car towards Vermont Nature Trail. The car was well equipped, air conditioning, wifi, drinks and fruit all incl. We tackled the trail together, even the son of our friends (5 years) did great, the hike took about 2 hours. An unforgettable moment, great vegetation, sturdy footwear advantageous. Great guide - we were told so much about the island and its inhabitants throughout the day - just great. After the trail we went to Buccama Beach where we spent almost 3 hours - very touristy- you have to like. After relaxing by the sea we went to Fort Charlotte and took great photos. We can only recommend the individual tours with Fraser Taxi.
