Location of Pirates of Caraïbes need maintenance, is nice, but could be better. The withe beach is nice but too small, probably could be better one with black sands. The guide is very nice and speaks a good english even if you are not mother language.
Sean was very knowledgeable. Relaxed pace. Great value. Good way to spend a day. Only 6 people on the tour.
Sean was a really fun guide on this tour. He was also a very careful, considerate driver. Knowledgeable too. So all good.
Mr Fraser was our favourite tour guide in whole Caribbean. Showed us quite a lot of the island. He was almost constantly bringing some info and fun facts about the island. He was doing everything to make us feel special. W’ve seen Pirates of the Caribbean set, waterfalls monkeys, petit brothel village 🤪 and spice shop with great viwes just to name a few
The tour guide was excellent! He told us lots of info about the different areas and even provided refreshments! The pirate site was neat, they could do more touristy stuff with it, but kept it real. The beach visit was beautiful too. Nothing was crowded and the time spent was just right.
Great guide with beautiful scenery and many fun stops. Very good value for an excursion. Spending a day with Fraser is like visiting a friend.
We arrived in St. Vincent by cruise ship and joined this tour as a shore excursion. Very well organized, and we got picked up right at the cruise terminal. It offered great value and a well-paced itinerary, and our tour guides were incredibly friendly.
We only booked this the night before arriving in port, pick up was sharp 8.30 and right outside the port gates. Very friendly staff to check you in. Straight on the air conditioned bus. Tour guide was great, very knowledgeable. Had a handful of stop off for pictures which were great locations. Don’t expect too much from the pirates site although it is a magical place and very peaceful. Stopped off for 1 hour 30mins on the beach which was nice. Overall great value for a morning out finished off with Fraser’s home made rum punch!
We have enjoyed a great day around St Vincent with Frazer tours. Dionne was a lovely guide and they picked us up right outside the cruise terminal. We stopped off at a few lovely view points for photos. Called at the lovely bay for Pirates of the Caribbean film set and finished at a gorgeous Carribean beach for a couple of hours for a swim in the sea. Fabulous and thank you ❤️
This was a brilliant tour with a great guide. We say all the highlights and shared some great stories in the car and finished it off with some great mango on the beach :-)
What can I say, Fraser he was amazing, he picked us up and took us on an amazing tour of his home island. He told us lots of fun facts and stopped and took pictures of us at points along way, if he offers you rum punch....take it, it's his own make and was absolutely amazing. We was lucky enough to have this tour to our self as the other couple who booked decided for what ever reason not to join us, although we waited half hour for them after the meet time. He had us back to the ship in plenty of time and is one of the nicest guys you will meet nothing was to much trouble. Don't delay book with him and you will have a blast.
This is run by Fraser Taxi and Tours. Fraser and his staff run a business to be proud of. Not enough people signed up for this tour, so the day before Fraser contacted me and upgraded us to a slightly longer tour at no additional price rather than cancel my excursion. I really appreciated that. Louis and Sean led our tour, and they were fantastic. The road was very narrow and windy along some serious drop offs where you had to be cautious of sharing the road around blind turns-- but I felt completely comfortable with Louis at the wheel of the clean, well maintained and air conditioned bus seating about 16 people or so. He is a local who knows the roads well and drives with the kind of caution that comes from experience. Sean and Louis had a lot to share about their island along the way, making for great conversation, and timing everything just right at each stop so you never felt rushed or bored. They also provided drinks (including some STRONG, delicious rum punch and the refreshing local beer) and fantastic fresh mangos and bananas. The food at the log house bar next to the beach we stopped at last was FANTASTIC. We really enjoyed the casual chatting with both of them (ask about their prior jobs- both have had some interesting gigs) and I'm grateful that we were able to relax and put complete trust in them to deliver a wonderful day knowing that they would be sure to get us back on time.
We were lucky for Fraser the owner of the company we did trip with being local to the island his knowledge was exceptional we learnt so much not only about the history of the island but also what life is like living there. The number of view points visited were numerous and spectacular. He had the foresight to get us to the film set ahead of all the other trips. We fully saw the benefit as the numbers were increasing steadily as we departed.
We were greeted by Fraser of Fraser Tours who was a superb guide and host. He added an excellent waterfall stop and kindly filmed us standing under it! The Pirates of the Caribbean stop was decent and good fun but don’t expect Disneyland quality. Fraser educated us about the island and culture as we drove, which was all fascinating. We also made several very good viewing point stops.
Actual set of pirates of the caribean was very disappointing. Tour guide was Fabulous, island is fab
Really enjoyed the outing. Visited all the sites that were listed. They emphasized that the Pirate site was a little run-down, but in fact it was a lot of fun!
The tour was really good, we went through the city and crossed several communities, visited a small cute garden and we reached the shooting area of the famous Disney movie. We had plenty of time to walk, take nice pictures and to check out some filming set articles left. Later we reached the Buccament bay, had lunch at a very nice restaurant. On our way back, we lost our sunglasses and got them back thanks to Mr. Fraser and his crew who found them :) We are very thankful of chosen this company for a complete pleasant experience.
We had no communication directly from Fraser before arriving in St Vincent. He was pointed out to us by other tour operators at the cruise terminal. We were advised there were insufficient guests booked (a minimum of 4 needed) and that he would need to cancel. Whilst we received a full refund from Fraser, we were added to another tour which gave a similar but not identical itinerary. The lack of communication was disappointing and listening to the conversations between Fraser and the other operators this does not appear to be an isolated situation.
Unfortunately our cruise ship had to sail past St Vincent due to a damaged vessel occupying our berth. However, I wanted to leave a review because as soon as we were informed I contacted Fraser Taxis & Tours who were incredibly understanding, very supportive and agreed a full refund as it was beyond our control. Based on this alone, I believe the tour operator to be extremely genuine and would have given us a great tour and full of fun.
Fantastic day, we had a great insight in to the island as we travelled along. Everything from politics, schooling and business. Do hesitate to book you are well looked after.
We arranged a tour with Frazer online to mainly see the Pirates of the Caribbean bay and film set but also see other parts of St Vincent. We arrived on the ferry and he was there waiting. Being a local his knowledge was great and explained many things along the route to the set. We stopped off a few times for views and also to see a waterfall in the Heritage Park - which was great; especially the fresh mango! We then headed down to the bay where the films were shot. Frazer had called the restaurant ahead and preordered our food and it came out nearly straight away. The food was delicious as were the homade juices. After lunch we looked around the film set and enjoyed the views of the bay. In addition we arrange a stop at the botanical gardens where we had a guide take us round and explain about the plants and trees. Frazer then dropped us off at the ferry port which ended our tour. We would highly recommend a tour by Frazer and felt at ease exploring and learning about what St Vincent has to offer. Thank you!
Thanks for the tour. We did enjoy with Roland 😁 The fan of the movies really love dressing up See you all soon Tashana crew from Guadeloupe!
We booked this tour, but we went to waterfalls too ( we did not want to), we had 2 kids (3 and 7) and we did not wish to be travelling for so long. They put two groups together. Also, rhey ask me to pay for our 7 years old, but charges were written from 8 and above. So I would say nothing that to be done to family planning a day. Please do not advertise fresh fruit, we haven’t any :(
Loved our guide ,Fraser, he was so informative and knowledgeable….Friendly and safe ..the roads were not for visitors to attempt with twists and turns .Also a stop also at Wallalou heritage park …so amazing with foliage and waterfall. Also visited and stopped for swim at a black sand beach with amenities ,bar and restaurant and some snorkeling. The Pirates of the Caribbean site was really good with lots of artifacts from the movie. The company does a great job of showcasing their home island.
Enjoyed the pirates exhibit albeit a bit worn down. Didn't care for the beach stop. We were there on a Sunday and the fort was closed.
We did the Pirates of the Caribean tour in January 2024. Our driver was Lewis and it was a really great day. We booked the tour for us as a family of five online in advance. We received a friendly welcome on site and Lewis took us well and safely to our destinations and we had plenty of time to enjoy everything.
We had a great visit here. It took about two hours maybe a little longer to see everything and have dinner. We wish we had brought our snorkel gear and we could’ve spent another couple hours snorkeling the bay. You get to eat right next to Jack Sparrow ship Mast. We got about four different meals and split them up among us so everybody got to taste something different. It was all very good. You really do feel like Jack sparrow could walk up beside you at any minute.
Highly recommend Fraser and his tour company. This was easily one of the highlights of our Caribbean cruise, learning a great deal while having many stops for photographs, visiting the Pirates Of The Caribbean movie set and getting to relax for a few hours on a beautiful beach. By far our favourite excursion out of the 13 islands which we visited. Fraser is very knowledgable, and an extremely nice guy. He made the day very fun and enjoyable while being informative and convenient. One to remember.
Touring parts of the island was interesting. Not much left of the movie set. Botanical Gardens was nice but not awe inspiring.
We booked a month in advance. We contacted the tour to arrange pickup details. Tour asked us to cancel 48 hours before our pickup, because they did not have enough people. They also informed that they cannot pick up at airport as advertised. They also asked us to cancel ourselves because Tripadvisor would penalize them for canceling. Misleading and unethical.
Booked the Pirates tour from the UK. Arrived at the port and were asked if we would mind doing the extended tour to the waterfall as well. Asked about additional cost and informed none as it was their request. Sat behind the driver (Lewis) who had additional assistance from (Sean). What a fantastic trip. We were in a mini bus with about 16 of us. Sean and Lewis were a pair of comedians who made the trip such a blast. Their banter with us and between themselves was great. There was a cooler box with lots of drinks water, beer, soft drinks, and rum punch all complimentary as was the various fruits etc. at the lunch on the beach. I can only speak for the two of us but I do think that everyone had a great time (especially as we drank the cooler box dry by the time we got back!!) Would I do the trip again? You bet, it was great!
Tour provided by Fraser's taxi tour. They did a good job. From 8.30 till 3.30 this was a good shore excursion from the cruise ship. Their directions and instructions about where to meet were good. They picked us up right at the cruise terminal on time without problem. It was a small bus holding about 20 people. The bus had aircon and wifi. However, when the scenery good we opened the windows and turned off the aircon. The wifi doesn't really work in remote canyons out of the city. We drove through numerous small villages that were scenic, we visited a fort on a hilltop, a botanic garden, the filming location for the movie, and finally a beach.
Absolutely amazing tour friendly full of knowledge lovely guide On time the journey as lovely . And made many stops along the way
The trip was marvellous, meeting instructions very easy and spot on. Frazer was very friendly and extremely informative we managed to get to the waterfall before the crowds so that was great
We booked a tour with Fraser Tours four months in advance of our cruise ship being in port in March, 2023, and confirmed about two weeks before our tour date. We were told our tour may or may not be private, and we were fine either way. Tours include “free wi fi, drinking water, tropical fruits, local beers, sodas, and rum punch”. No additional costs were mentioned. Meeting at the pier was easy, but when we arrived at 8:30, we were asked if we could wait for the other 4 people in our group who appeared to be running late. We were fine with that. But, when that group arrived we were told there was another problem – they ‘insisted on going on their tour alone’ as they had booked a private tour. Fraser spoke very critically of that group and implied to us that they were being rude to us by not wanting us to join their group. However, if they booked a private tour for the 4 of them, that is what they should have gotten; they should not have been asked upon arrival if they wanted 2 strangers to join their group. Fraser had no other drivers, so had ‘a friend of his’, Antony, another taxi driver, take us on a private tour. Antony was a fine tour guide who showed us around the island, told us about it’s history, etc. However, because we were not really with Fraser Tours, we did not receive any of the amenities (beverages, fruit) that were supposed to be part of our tour. When we visited Fort Charlotte, we were immediately greeted by someone who just started giving us a tour of the fort. We did not ask for a guided tour and when it was over he told us the charge was $4 each. Total scam! Sure appeared to be a set up between taxi drivers and the unofficial ‘guides’ at the fort. Later in the tour, we visited Heritage Park, which is lovely and peaceful. When we arrived, we were told the charge was $1 each. Another cost we were not told about. When we finished our tour, we asked Antony if we paid him or Fraser. He said we paid him, so we gave Antony the $80 Fraser charged when we booked, as well as a $20 tip for himself. Antony was not pleased with the $80, but did not say anything to us. Definitely don’t recommend Fraser Tours. Tour is not as advertised. We waited around for 45 minutes before starting on a tour that provided less than what we had booked. They clearly overbook and try to get people who booked private tours to add others to their group. They dump some customers on to friends who work for another taxi company, so you are not getting the company you booked with. Additional costs were also an unpleasant surprise.
Even though we were not on a cruise, Mr. Fraser allowed to jump in with the cruise ship clients (which is cheaper than a private trip). He is friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was to Dark View falls with a stop on the way back at the Pirate's of the Caribbean set and lastly the beach. The beach has a restaurant where you can grab lunch if you wish. Mr. Fraser also had wifi for the trip, fresh island fruit, and beverages for us along the way. At the falls he providered towels and water shoes, something that sound simple until you see others slipping around in their flip flops. At the end of the day, we were dropped off at our hotel which was convenient.
Fraser was an excellent guide who knows a great deal about his homeland. There were drinks and wifi on the coach which was very comfortable. We also sampled papaya from Frasers own tree. We visited the waterfall and the Pirates of the Caribbean movie set followed by lunch if you wanted (not included) at the beach. Fraser was happy to take photos for us. Lunch was slow to be served so Fraser extended the time at the beach. A special mention for Lewis the driver, he was amazing. I would definitely do another tour with Fraser should we visit St Vincent again.
The excursion held an excellent variety of stops paired with an even more excellent tour guide (Fraser himself!). We had a blast. Tip: Take advantage of the time at the beach! It goes by quickly if you eat at the restaurant (which, by the way, makes an excellent vegetarian roti). And the beach itself...If you love translucent waters, black sands, a smooth coast, this may be the opportunity for you (weather permitting:)). Don't forget to pick up local juices from the vendors nearby--well worth it.
Nice half day tour -get a nice look at St. Vincent, experience the Pirates of the Caribbean set, and relax on a beach. Perfect with kids.
Longer than expected. Almost 7 hours !!! Great! Never felt rushed. Suggestion: Include beach chairs and umbrella with pricing for the beach portion of this tour.
Fraser was very informative, but we didn't think he treated his driver well. A long drive up to a tiny botanical garden seemed a bit pointless, then a couple of hours stopping for a BBQ lunch that seemed more about Fraser getting a free meal (and nothing for the driver) than an experience for the whole group. Note...Cruise ship passengers don't need any MORE food. We had a nice swim at an adjacent beach while some of the group gorged themselves, but getting hit up for $8USD for a couple of cold cokes from a beach vendor just reminded us that we visitors are there to be pillaged. The 20 year old Pirates of the Caribbean set was mildly interesting but the only costumes provided were a couple of child sized hats and plastic swords for two kids. No, Captain Jack Sparrow pics for us adults. Got the overall impression that this tour has been repeated so many times they have lost the eager drive of delivering something memorable that may once have been there. However...anything is better than staying on the ship and there's only so much they can do in a few hours as getting around on all the islands is slow progress. This review is not intended to put people off going, its intention is to let Fraser know that in our opinion, there's scope for improvement.
We had pre arranged a tour with Fraser, who met us at the Cruise Port on time. He then introduced us to Lewis our driver and guide for the day. We had a very comfortable air conditioned vehicle. Our tour took us through various towns and villages on the east coast of St Vincent and through old plantation areas, which have now been repurposed, to old film set of Pirates of the Caribbean. We had lots of fun here. Lewis provided us with lots of refreshments and bananas, so we had to partake of the rum punch. We then went to a beach, for 2 hours which was amazing, the water was so warm. We opted to pay for a sunbed each which was $10pp. Lewis then took us back to Fort Charlotte, overlooking Kingstown. This offered amazing views right across to Bequia and Mustique beyond. Fraser and Lewis were both fantastic and we enjoyed every minute. Can't recommend them enough.
Superb trip. Clear pick up instructions provided by Fraser, who met us in person and on time. Our driver Lewis was a St Vincent local who knew everyone and everything about the island, making an informative and entertaining guide. Free drinks and snacks thrown in, and even WiFi in the modern air conditioned minivan the 4 of us had to ourselves. The Pirates location was fun, and e had plenty of time at lovely Buccament beach, plus a couple of other stops, but it was Lewis who helped make it a special trip. I 100% recommend Fraser Tours, and suggest that you contact Fraser direct before booking via TripAdvisor/Viator etc as he will be able to run through more options for your bespoke trip.
Fraser was an excellent tour guide and showed us a range of places in St Vincent not just the pirates of the Caribbean set. Was easy to find off the cruise ship and dropped us back in plenty of time with a lovely beach break.
Fraser was a terrific guide with a lifetime of experience on the island. It was very noticeable how popular of a person he was to his homeland. I will have to say the waterfalls were the best we have seen in the Caribbean. Definitely had a great experience. ❤️
We booked this tour and paid full in advance. As soon as cruise reached the port and we came out. There was no one to receive us. We didn’t have SIM card so asked locals to call tour operator. He didn’t pick the call 3-4 times. So when we called again and again, he picked and told that we were not in time so he will not come again. He didn’t bother to come again to pick us and wanted free money. If you don’t want to ruin your experience and pay second time for other tours, AVOID THIS.
10 stars for rum punch. Solid service. Well organized. Highly recommend. Would do again in a heartbeat
The driver was very nice and told us a lot of interesting facts about the island, very well , we can recommend without any hesitation
Sean our driver and guide was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about everything and made the tour si interesting and fun.
