We had the pleasure of being guided by Samual “Ruff” today, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Saint Vincent. Ruff’s knowledge of the island’s history was outstanding — he brought Dark View falls, pirates of the Caribbean, Fort Charlotte and the Obelisk of Joseph Chatoyer to life with stories that went far beyond the standard tour script. All this in just over 6 hours was amazing. At Dark View Falls, Ruff’s support helping the two of us navigate the falls was greatly appreciated, and he later guided us through Richmond Vale, where we saw first-hand the striking aftermath of the volcanic eruption — a sobering and unforgettable sight. What made the experience truly special was learning about Ruff’s own connections to the island’s culture. Having worked on the production of Pirates of the Caribbean, he shared incredible first-hand stories about working alongside the producers and crew — details you simply won’t find anywhere else. He’s also deeply connected to the local music scene, having worked as a music video producer for some well-known ragga soca artists from St. Vincent, and his insights into the genre’s origins added a whole new dimension to the tour and got me interested in the music. Ruff was friendly, personable, and clearly went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. This was a once-in-a-lifetime day, and we’re certain it wouldn’t have been the same with a different guide. If you’re visiting Saint Vincent and want someone who combines deep local knowledge with genuinely fascinating personal stories, we couldn’t recommend Ruff more highly.

This tour is a must when in St. Vincent, as you see the islands highlights. You will learn so so much about the islands history and culture. The guide is extremely knowledgeable and was part of the pirates of the carribean movie production on the island. You might also be able to taste his homemade ginger beer which was delicious. Highly recommended!

Absolutely worth the hype. Our IV Tours trip to Dark View Falls, Fort Charlotte, and Kingstown was a true 5-star experience from start to finish. The day was perfectly paced, with a great mix of natural beauty, history, local culture, and plenty of time to take it all in. Dark View Falls was breathtaking and refreshing, Fort Charlotte gave us amazing views and insight into the island, and Kingstown added the perfect local flavor. Although Wallilabou was closed, our guide still provided first-hand Pirates of the Caribbean information, which made that part of the experience feel special and memorable. IV Tours made everything easy, comfortable, and enjoyable. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly proud to share St. Vincent with visitors. It never felt rushed or overly touristy, just a well-planned, memorable day exploring some of the island’s best spots. If you’re wondering whether to book this tour, do it. It was one of the highlights of our trip and a fantastic way to experience St. Vincent. Highly recommended! We left the tour feeling like we made a lifelong friend.

When coming to St Vincent & the Grenadines…..IV Tours is the ultimate experience! The Darkview falls were rejuvenating and refreshing. Once again Ruff is very informative with explanations of where the water source is, the amount of falls and the pressure/force of the waterfalls (very important). Additionally you do not need to worry about photos and videos as Ruff being in professional production, he's very willing and capable of snapping and capturing some breathtaking imagery enabling you to cherish your moments for a lifetime. Most importantly a safe, cautious and respectful driver, Ruff and IV Tours is an unforgettable package. Definitely worth every penny, a 10/10 experience surely.

I shouldn't have to say this cause it's obvious but I'll say it for the people that don't know as yet,this tour was everything you could possibly want on a vacation/relaxation time with most majestic beautiful scenery. Me,my daughter along with some others had the most wonderful time on this tour it's a must to try.....big up to Ruff the Boss man. Miss out on this and blame yaself.

We had a private tour with Ruff where we went to Dark View Falls, Richmond which is the NWestern most point on the island plus the Pirates of the Caribbean set. Ruff was engaging, entertaining and enthusiastic. We learned a lot about the island and about the day the volcano erupted back in 2021. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Ruff

Bring some water shoes, a towel and change of clothes for this adventurous tour. You will have an excellent time, driving through the scenic island and then seeing the amazing falls. Very fun and exciting day.

Nothing like the description. No air-conditioned tour bus with wifi. Our driver barely talked. We were offered bananas and homemade ginger beer. Our tour was barely 4 hours. Most trips we do through Viator are great, but this was disappointment after disappointment.

This excursion was filled with information and our tour guide (Dave) was excellent. He brought great energy to the event and was able to take us places the other van couldn’t take us.

Orveil was very knowledgeable on the history of the island and the pirates of the Caribbean.He offered refreshments and drinks during the tour. He responded quickly and was very helpful .

Orvil was an excellent guide. Super knowledgeable about the country and its history, and possibly one of the only guides with such personal experiences with the last volcanic eruption and filming of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Would definitely book again with IV Tours!

This was a fantastic tour from start to finish! The sights from Pirates of the Caribbean and the Dark View Falls were great as expected, but what made this tour stand out was the added trivia and information that our guide, Orvil, had for us. He took us through most of the south and west sides of the island, had interesting facts about each of the towns we drove though, and had places to stop with incredible views of the Caribbean Sea, La Soufriere, and even St. Lucia in the distance. Orvil was incredibly friendly and really seemed to enjoy his job, which boosted the mood throughout the entire day. His knowledge and love of the island, along with behind the scenes knowledge of Pirates of the Caribbean, made this an unforgettable way to experience St Vincent. We highly recommend IV Tours to anyone visiting SVG!

You know this tour takes you to Dark View Falls, Wallilabou Bay and Fort Charlotte, but it doesn't mention that a complete leeward side island tour is included as well! We spent a whole day (including hotel pickup/drop-off) with our incredible guide "Ruff" (Orville) with IV Tours. He gave us so much historical information and amazing stories of his time working with the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as his time working as a journalist during the 2021 volcano eruption. Even though the "Pirates" set was closed while we were there, he had awesome stories about working with the actors and he showed us spots all over the island where different scenes were filmed. His stories were so interesting! He is a photographer, and he took dozens of amazing photos for us and even sent them back the same day. We had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and we ended the day with a surprise by going to a house of someone he knew so we could get the most incredible view of Kingstown. He went above and beyond by spending the entire day with us, even though he had class immediately after our tour, and an exam the next morning! What an amazing experience we had with IV Tours!! They do many different tours both by land and sea. No matter what tour you choose, I guarantee you will be satisfied!

Our tour with Mr Samuel aka Ruff was without a doubt the highlight of my trip. I went on the tour with my 5 year old daughter, mother and aunt, both of whom are in their 60s. The tour is quite long, but Mr Samuel is so knowledgeable about his island and so easy to chat with, we were never bored once. We first went to dark view falls and waded in the shallow waters, had a quick bite and then headed towards the most northern part of the island, where we saw first hand the destruction of the volcano. This was an unexpected detour and oh so worth it! Mr Samuel treated us like family, taking us to see these extra sites as we had shown great interest in the volcanic eruption from 2 years ago. From there, we went to the next site, wallilabou. Unfortunately, that site was closed unbeknownst to not only Mr Samuel, but other tour guides who were at a total loss as to what to do. Mr Samuel however, quickly offered us another site to visit the following day in exchange for the inability to visit wallilabou. From Wallilabou, we drove through Kingstown (this could have been a longer visit, as we wanted to come out and take pics but unfortunately were unable to) and then ended at Fort Charlotte. We were told that the fort was under construction and not open to the public, but Ruff has his connections, and we were able to enter and once again be educated by Mr Samuel. He truly is very knowledgeable about his island, and his pride and love for SVG is evident. Another point to note, and a VERY important one, is that my aunt unknowingly left a substantial amount of money in his van in error. Mr Samuel called us that very night to inform us of his find and assured us that it was safe with him. It was returned the very next day without any issue. This tour was incredibly informative, fun and we felt like we were with a good friend. The ONLY downside was the AC in the van... it would have to be taken off when going uphill, and the passengers in the back were uncomfortably hot for that part. Other than that, I whole heartedly recommend IV tours and Mr Samuel. Amazing and definitely worth the price! Do not hesitate to book with him!

We used I V Tours, a local tour company here in St. Vincent. We couldn't have had better tour and guide. Orville was very knowledgeable about the island and he had first hand experience living here all his life. It was very interesting that he worked with the crew on the set of the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean. So when we saw the set he could point out the various details and how the were incorporated into the movie. He also had first hand experience with the eruption of the volcano in 2021. He was the main photographer of the eruption event and his pictures were featured by news media all over the world! We got to see the volcano from a distance and he took us to where we could still see where the volcano ash and debris had wiped out a river. The Dark View Waterfalls were beautiful and we were lucky to be the only ones there. Overall it was a wonderful tour with a very expetienced guide. I would highly recommend it.

This trip was fantastic, our host was brilliant, his knowledge of his island was great. A really enjoyable day was spent by all .

(Possibly 4.5) Booked a private 2 person full day tour of the leeward side of St. Vincent, including the botanical gardens as an extra. It appeared that possibly the tour company was exceptionally busy that day and contracted our tour out. However; David was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable about St. Vincent. He totally covered any requested area and, in fact, spent extra time with us. Definitely a full day!

We took this tour as 2 couples & adult children. Our guide was so accommodating & knowledgable about the areas, history & places to stop. We got such great background knowledge on the Pirates of the Caribbean making that I don’t think we would have got with any other tour guide. He was invaluable in helping us navigating Dark View Falls, taking the best routes & getting great photos. Our tour was curated for us & included, a trip to Richmond & info about the volcano & river that flows into the sea there, I would highly recommend this tour.

The view was amazing breath taken hiking yes short one. Water not cold . No Mosquito. Not difficult to get to the falls. I recommend go to st Vincent. You do need a tour person

Was a very full day. Tour guide has lots of knowledge and stories to share. Covered a lot of ground by van as well as the brief hiking at dark view falls. He's a courteous driver and we felt secure.

More than a tour of the beautiful Dark Falls, this area has lush vegetation and awesome views. Also included in the tour were the Charlotte Fort, the Volcano, pirates of the Caribean set and more. Ruff, the owner, has a wealth of knowledge of the island and shares his many personal experiences. A family member had passed away so we made a pit stop to the church and met some of his family members. A great, inexpensive, lunch on the beach in a local spot. Highly recommend any tour with Ruff as he is a great contact to have on the island. Super friendly and goes above and beyond. He is a professionally photographer too and shared the pics at no additional cost. A true local gem!

Ruff is very knowledgeable about SVG; it's history, culture, geography, food, etc. It was a terrific experience. The falls were beautiful, the views from various stopping points were awesome.

What a great tour yo see the Black Falls! We learned such about the history and culture of St Vincent and the Grenedines on our drive. The sights alomg the coast were stunning and the rain forest feel of the falls was beautiful. Ruff was so positive and friendly and very accommodating to our group. Fort Charlotte was closed for Unesco renovations but got to see the view from up there

Just one word for this tour AWESOME!!My family and I went on the tour and we didn’t regret it! The sights were breathtaking especially the Fort Charlotte! The kids enjoyed the WiFi while in the air conditioned van. Orville was very knowledgeable about the sights we visited and seemed so excited to share info. This tour put the icing on the cake for our visit to St.Vincent! It’s is definitely a hidden Gem! We will be visiting again real soon!!

Discover the great outdoors and love for adventure! Walking on a swing bridge seeing the rushing rivers below you…WOW what a rush!!! My 82 year old mother tried this and loved it as well! After we hiked to the amazing Dark View Falls there are three amazing falls we could only make it to two. With the water cascading down the hill, relaxing every single muscle in your body… SO therapeutic but I must warn you it’s very COLD. Our tour guide Ruff, as known by the locals was super knowledgeable about all the sights along the island. A trip for all ages.
