Kingston Day Trip -Devon House, Bob Marley & Murals In Kingston.

Kirk picked up on time. First location bob marley musuem, the group + other visitors will visit the museum with a guide (no pictures inside). Before the museum tour starts, kirk takes you to all the pictures spots outside the musuesm to take a picture which was great. After the tour, a short drive to the Devon house, where a guide will explain the different rooms, and you will be treated to ice cream A drive to water lane to see street art was good to see. I wrote this in the cofffee blue mountain tour, but due to public holiday the day prior to this tour, i wanted to see if i could do the coffee blue mountain tour the same day as this one in the afternoon. Kirk went out of this way to ensure there was enough time for me to go there, and spoke to the Estates to ensure they would wait for me (as that was my last day in the country) Honestly speaking, Kirk's adaptability, really saved my holiday...

My sister and I booked two Kingston tours and were fortunate to have Kirk as our guide/ driver on both trips. The first tour consisted of The Bob Marley Museum and Devon House. The next day, we went on a coffee tasting Blue Mountain experience. As we were also supposed to visit the grounds of Devon House on day two, Kirk changed this section to a scenic drive where we visited The National Stadium to see statues of iconic sports heroes. We also got to see Bob Marley's original statue in front of a mural depicting track famous Jamaican athletes and cricketers. We will definitely pass on Kirk's details to others.

Our guide Kirk brought us to Bob Marley Museum and we learned a lot about Marley’s life and his work as a musician. Then he brought us to Devon’s House where we learned its History. I highly recommend this tour and thank you Kirk for bringing us around Kingston and being our photographer.

Great way to see a lot of the city's highlights in just a day. Kirk was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the city and prompt with all pickups. Was also willing to be flexible and customized the tour route and drop-off point since I was traveling by myself. Would recommend!

Book this tour! I booked this tour because I wanted to visit these places and was concerned about fitting it all in during my vacation. It was all I hoped for and more. Kirk was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and I had enough time at each of the sites to fully appreciate each one. The driving tour through Trenchtown was a great bonus.

Kirk was a great tour guide! He brought me to all the areas and gave me a great insight into the history of the city & each destination! He also brought me to areas not listed like the art district & Trenchtown, it was great to see these areas with a local who could tell me about the area while feeling safe with a local. Really recommend, and Kirk was brilliant, he even insisted on taking loads of pictures!

Thanks for the tour - Shame the National Gallery was closed on Mondays but Bob Marley Museum was Great 🙏 Having a Red Stripe and walking around Kingston town looking at modern & colorful wall murals was very memorable (and something that you probably shouldn’t do without being with a local). We had a great trip with Kirk from our hotel in Montego Bay across the island to Kingston. He picked us up at the hotel in the morning and we drove straight to Kingston. We went to the Bob Marley house museum, the Devon House, and ended the tour in the downtown Kingston Art District where we walked around and looked at several city blocks worth of murals. We highly recommend Kirk - he provided a very pleasant and educational tour for us and we had a very fun and safe experience.

I’ll start this review by saying, the tourism industry cannot survive without tour guides like Kirk. From the minute my family and I set foot in Kirk’s van, he treated us like family. He was able to provide so much knowledge about the different parishes and the island as a whole. My dad, a Jamaican native, died on April 19, 2020 and on the 5 year anniversary of his death, my family and I decided to tour Kingston Parish, where he was from. On a day which could have been full of sadness, we had arguably the most fun of our entire trip and that was all because of Kirk. Kirk is one of those tour guides that makes you never want to end the tour. Kirk, my family and I appreciate you. My only complaint is that we can’t have you as our guide every time we visit Jamaica! An enjoyable and informative private cultural/historical tour of Kingston by car with stops at the Marley museum, National Gallery, Devon House, and a several block walk through the street of building murals. Treats and extras provided by our driver/guide Kirk, who was both entertaining and knowledgeable.

Kirk was very professional, friendly, respectful and he make us feel welcome . He had a lot of knowledge to share while we move around. The entire tour was beautiful and smooth.

I was recovering from a flu on the day of my tour and Mr Kirk was so attentive and kind. He gave me some coconut juice to help with my flu and even stopped by a pharmacy to get me some medicine which cleared my stuffed nose right up. I unfortunately had to cut my tour short as I was feeling unwell but would recommend this 10/10. He’s very knowledgeable on the area and this tour if worth it!

We took this tour 2 days after Hurricane Beryl hit Jamaica. There were a lot of outages throughout the island BUT Kirk made it happen! We had an amazing experience. He provide great facts about the island, personable conversation and special detours that heightened the Kingston experience. We were immensely pleased with this tour. You must include a day trip to Kingston as part of your Jamaica vacation, particularly if you are vacationing in other parishes of Jamaica. My mother traveled by herself during the journey, and our driver was quite kind. He ensured that we were well taken care of and honored with the finest kindness and respect. We acquired a deeper understanding of Jamaica's rich history and culture through our trips to Devon House, the Bob Marley Museum, and the National Art Gallery. People visiting this gorgeous island for the first time and those interested in learning more about its history should definitely consider doing this.

Tour cancelled the day of due to a sick driver and no back up. While the representative was professional, this is an all day tour and the last minute cancellation put us in a bind. After much difficulty, we found a tour on our own that cost much less.

Wow!! Everything was great, but my most memorable experience was visiting the Bob Marley Museum!! The museum was beautifully kept, and our facilitator, Oneika was the absolute BEST!! She was such a charming and knowledgeable person who went above and beyond in accommodating us. I’ve recommended the museum to so many people since I’ve arrived home. Will definitely do again!!

I enjoyed Mr. Shane with the Bob Marley tour. He was very informative entertaining and very helpful. I also enjoyed Ms. Norma with the Devon House tour. She even wore the dress for the time period which was real enlightening. The National Gallery of Jamaican Art was wonderful. It was worth every minute of the 4 hours to and from Negril. We booked last minute with Kirk, but he was very accommodating. He picked us up on time from our hotel, and was always ready whenever we were ready to move to the next site. We saw several must-see sights in Kingston, and the major highlight for us was the Bob Marley Museum. As the day progressed and we had more conversations, Kirk pointed out and took us to different spots that he thought we would find interesting or came up in conversation. The activities were timed well, and even with one of the museums being closed on the weekend, Kirk pivoted and took us to an art museum that we loved and thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend Kirk, he was the best!

My mom and I were in Montego Bay for her birthday. I chose this excursion because of the many activities included. Kirk was our tour guide. He arrived at our hotel on time, and was kind, attentive, and thoughtful the whole day. This particular day was my mom's birthday, and he bought her some cupcakes to celebrate. Wagwan! This tour was everything and more! Kirk is the perfect captain for this tour. He’s very helpful and kind. He arrived on time and is very knowledgeable about Jamaica history and current events. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable 4 hr ride from Negril to Kingston. Visiting the legendary Bob Marley House/Museum is a must while in Jamaica! Also Devon house is a great historical landmark. Make sure you get some Jamaican patties at Devon house bakery and ice cream! Kingston Craft market was is a great stop to grab all your souvenirs. Overall I highly recommend booking this tour! Visiting Jamaica and the Bob Marley Museum in particular was on our bucket list and Kirk made it unforgettable! He was highly professional, arrived early, had great email communication, was very personable and informative. We saw everything in Kingston on our list and enjoyed shopping at the market away from the hotel tourist spots. We did rent a car for our trip but Kingston is not the best place for tourists to drive so we highly recommend booking with Kirk. He made us feel like he was a friend showing us around town. Fantastic day out. Kirk met us at our hotel and took us out for the entire day and then drove us to the airport. The service from Kirk was outstanding. Ice cold coconut water, napkins and ice cream! All complimentary. It was our first time in Kingston and we felt very safe with Kirk as our guide. The Bob Marley Museum is amazing and very moving. The tour is first rate. Followed by Devon Heritage House which is fascinating and beautiful. The history is amazing. You will not be disappointed with this fabulous day out! Kirk is the best. We also did a few other bonus stops that were bonus!
