The server, Donhue, was amazing, and the quality of the food was 10 star quality. The 7 star hotel in Dubai couldn’t give a better breakfast. I am here sitting in awe an hour later, still enjoying this feeling. My ackee was perfectly seasoned, and the texture was unmatched. My dumplings looked like they were raised by both parents in the household, attended college, and have a trust fund and life insurance. They were AMAZING. My fried plantains tasted like they were imported from heaven. Even the broccoli and tomatoes were perfectly seasoned with black pepper and a thought of salt. Everything tied together perfectly. While this is 10-star quality, I would only recommend a little more flexibility in combining choices and portions, as we would like to sample more of our authentic cuisine, it’s very difficult to get this quality anywhere. It’s not a problem; I might just have an extra exciting appetite when it comes to Jamaican food. Either way, my expectations were exceeded. It was excellent. My waiter, Donhue, did not know this is my favorite meal, but his attentiveness and excellent customer service made not only the meal a standout, but he represented himself and the ROK/Hilton brand very well. I’m not sure if he will see this, but if he does, thank you, sir, and be blessed.

From the moment I arrived at ROK Hotel Kingston, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, I was immersed in an experience defined by stylish surroundings, delicious food, expertly prepared drinks, and genuinely warm Jamaican hospitality. Located in downtown Kingston, the hotel exceeded my expectations and made both of my stays truly memorable. I first visited in June 2026 and the staff immediately made me feel welcome with their great customer service. I enjoyed the experience so much that I returned for a birthday trip and my second stay was just as wonderful. The same high level of care and attention I received during my first visit was evident throughout my return. A special thank you goes to Sherene and her incredible bar team, along with the wonderful breakfast crew. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and professional, consistently making sure I was well taken care of. The front desk staff was equally welcoming during both visits. The hotel’s cleanliness, food, drinks, atmosphere, and hospitality all contributed to an outstanding experience. I will definitely be visiting again, and I highly recommend ROK Hotel to anyone considering a stay in downtown Kingston. Thank you to Sherene and the entire team for making both of my visits so special.

Thumps up to Sean at the front desk who helped us with everything we needed! Close to Water Lane, at seafront. We stayed there over weekend, so the downtown area is very dead - so if you plan to walk around at night or have fun, try stay there on weekdays or somewhere uptown (we also dropped by the AC Marriott, of which the location is more lively over the weekend). The suite is nice / modern, and if ocean front, good view. Parking is very secure - security at entrance and directly connected to the hotel. Hotel has a cafe on 1st floor, good coffee and provides essentials. As diamond you get free breakfast, but you will have to ask for "specialty egg" as no one will offer up at the buffet.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was spotless and ready upon check-in at 3pm. The Palate restaurant served up lovely traditional Jamaican breakfast items and American breakfast staples in a buffet style or à la carte format. Everything tasted fresh and the blue mountain coffee was the star of the show. The neighborhood has a lot of cool things close by within walking distance like a KFC and the Craft Market. I’d come back again. It was a peaceful retreat in the city. I felt safe and well taken care of there. They also have a third party car service you can book for a fee to get around town or further distances.
