This tour was fantastic. Joe is an excellent, down to earth, friendly, accommodating guide. We saw so much! The Ring is breathtaking. We loved all the stops especially seeing how shepherds round up their sheep.This is a not to be missed experience. I use a rollator and it worked out perfectly.

We had a wonderful day exploring the Ring of Kerry with Jo as our tour guide. Jo was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our journey fun. We visited so many beautiful places along the route, including Cahergall Fort, Portmagee, the Kerry Cliffs, Waterville, Kenmare, Moll’s Gap, Ladies View, and Torc Waterfall. The Ring of Kerry is absolutely beautiful, with so many hidden gems, breathtaking scenery, and a wonderful sense of Irish culture. We truly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend Jo to anyone looking for a friendly, personalized, and memorable tour of County Kerry. Thank you, Jo, for such a lovely day!

Joe is so good at what he does. Personable, professional and friendly, he made the day most enjoyable and fun. We would highly recommend him for this tour. A value to be able to not be on a big bus with a large number of people this option was convenient and affordable. His stories of family, Irish history and stops along the way were a perfect mix for us. We were never rushed and felt perfectly at ease all day.

Our private Ring of Kerry tour with Joe was outstanding! We went as a family of four and had a fantastic experience. Joe is very kind and knowledgeable and knows the best spots. We loved every stop on the itinerary and had time to enjoy everything (though it’s hard to choose, highlights were the Kells Sheep Trials, Kerry Cliffs, and lunch in Portmagee). Would highly recommend booking with Joe, as we would be more than happy to tour with him again in the future! A major highlight on our trip to Ireland for sure.

We spent two weeks in Ireland with many amazing experiences but touring the Ring of Kerry was definitely one of the highlights! Michael’s company made the day even more enjoyable as he made sure that we didn’t miss out on anything! Even in the chilly rain the Cliffs of Kerry and Torc waterfall were both breathtaking. The Daniel O’Connor cathedral was even more enjoyable than St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin because we weren’t sharing it with 1000 of our new best friends! We also enjoyed the sheep dog demo and Bog Village. It was wonderful for my husband to sit back and enjoy the scenery rather than navigating the narrow rural roads and of course Michael knew the best places to indulge in a yummy lunch, delectable chocolate and a single half pint of Guinness!

The tour was excellent! Joe had great recommendations for food and various stops, and clearly was well known and loved in the Kerry community! He was very knowledgeable on the history and extremely helpful! The vehicle was clean and comfortable, no complaints! Thanks Joe!

Joe was fantastic! He took us around the Ring of Kerry and showed us some wonderful views! We traveled as a family with 2 older grandparents and he really helped to get them as close as he could to the sights. His lunch choice was delicious and we would definitely go back. We were very excited for our private ring of Kerry tour, until we were notified that our tour was being cancelled, after we had paid. We received literally 48 hours notice with no reason for the cancellation. The email we received also said "Good news, your money will be refunded". We were very disappointed, since this was something we had booked in February. We were left scrambling trying to find any tour let alone a private tour so close to our date. I would NOT recommend using Kerry Private Tours, after our experience.

wonderful day out with Paddy Keane who took over for Joe who was under the weather . He switched a couple stops to fit our needs which was much appreciated . We were traveling with 3 generations aged 5 to 70 . We all had the best time! We got to see a ring fort up close and drove the Skellig Ring saw The Kerry Cliffs which were amazing the dark cliffs and turquoise water so beautiful and so many other amazing stops. It was a day we will always remember. Worth every penny for our group !

Joe was our tour guide for the Ring of Kerry tour. The weather did not cooperate- rain and mist shrouded the views. Joe with Kerry Private Tours was awesome! Drizzle and fog all day meant he had to play things by ear by omitting some sights not visible because of fog and filling in with other stops that he might not normally have made - but it worked. Two couples is the perfect size for his new and very clean van. We had a blast.

We had a great time with Joe on the Ring of Kerry. He contacted us a head of time to confirm the best place to meet and start our journey. Joe picked us up in a new van that easily fit all of us. The trip lasted all day but because of the number of stops, time went by very quickly. If I had any criticism it would be that it's hard to hear Joe from the back seat of the van. Also it would be nice if Joe could share more history on the area we are traveling. GREAT DAY!! I would absolutely book this trip again.

The last day of our trip to Ireland was the best day with our guide Billy and his Ford van. My husband and I began our day with a short easy hike to Torc Falls in Killarney National Park having the trail mostly to ourselves. Next on to Kells Sheepdogs for a sheep herding demonstration. We continued on to the Skellig Ring where the roads are too winding and narrow for tour buses. The Kerry cliffs are wild and spectacular - much different than the Cliffs of Moher. We ate lunch in Portmagee where the sea food is so fresh. Billy talked a lot about Irish history - we saw an English watch tower meant to thwart Napoleon and an ancient stone grave in a field. It was completely worthwhile to spend some time on our own with a guide and plenty of time for questions and discussion.

This was an absolutely perfect day! Joe was so personable and thoughtful! His driving was first rate, and his car was spotless and comfortable! Some of our favorite stops were seeing the Irish Wolfhounds at the old Irish village, watching a shepherd and his award winning border collie herd sheep on a working sheep farm, an incredible sea food meal for lunch, the waterfall at Torc, the ice cream in Sneem, I could go on and on, actually. The stops were so thoughtfully placed that I never felt like we were in the car too long. This will always be one of my favorite days in Ireland!

We had the most spectacular time visiting the beautiful Ring of Kerry with Joe. He was the perfect, knowledgable and fun guide for our family. He had just upgraded to a spacious 7-seat hybrid van that was so comfortable for our whole group, and he even made sure to have the proper car seats for our two small daughters. Can't recommend more! We hope to come back and visit Dingle next time :)

The day was wild, wet and windy! Joe was very communicative and we enjoyed the sheep herding demonstration so much. Although we couldn’t see much of the Ring of Kerry due to the fog, Joe made it up to us the following day with an extra jaunt to the Muckross house. My one suggestion would to make your vehicle expectations clear prior to the tour as we were traveling with my elderly parents and needed a spacious vehicle.

My husband and I had rented a car but wanted to both enjoy the Ring of Kerry - so glad we went with Joe! Joe picked us up at our hotel, was very accommodating, and took us to some awesome places. We had the best lunch and ice cream stop thanks to Joe knowing where to go. Joe was very nice and we learned so much more having him as a guide and telling us about the towns we went through. Highly Recommend👍

We would have been lost on this trip as the drive is very long and there are so many stops. Joe was awesome he took us to places we probably would have missed. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Ireland and the stops along the way. We also had some of the best sea food of our entire trip that ranged from multiple places along Southern Ireland. Our Ring of Kerry Tour with Joe was one of the highlights of our 9-day trip to Ireland. Joe thinks of everything to make the day perfect. He was also very accommodating when I requested that we squeeze in a side-trip for us to see a stone ring fort. In addition to the great fun we had at places like the sheep dog demonstration, he showed us some incredible sights that we would never see on a larger bus tour. It was also nice that he is known by the local business owners at various stops, which meant that we were seated quickly at lunch during a very busy time for the pub. It was a day we will never forget, and I'm so glad we chose this tour! I will recommend Joe to anyone I know who is going to Ireland.

Top notch service for vacation done with our 20 something daughters. Joe was very engaging and responsive, identifying and responding to their interests and customizing our tour. Absolutely loved our private tour with Joe! He took us to several places with no tour busses at all. The Kerry Cliffs were absolutely stunning, and we happened to have a sunny day and great light for photos. We stopped for lunch at a place in Portmagee where 90% of the patrons were locals. Food was great there. We saw a demonstration on sheep herding by an international award winning border collie trainer. There were several other stops along the way that made for a full and memorable day. Highly recommend this tour!

We had The best driver in Ireland! He picked us up on time and we settled in the car. Joe took us to the best places and showed us great sights. Joe is a wonderful guide and knew all the shop workers. He kindly told us which places were more of a tourist trap and which places were a better deal, family owned type places. We’re not the chattiest group but Joe talked the perfect amount and let some of our group nod off for a quick nap at other times. We felt so comfortable with Joe. Joe was incredible! I wasn’t sure what all we could squeeze in for the day and he suggested the Ring of Kerry. His communication was excellent leading up to the tour even suggesting accommodations that we ended up loving! He was prompt, car was immaculate, and he had everything we forgot to bring (husband forgot sunglasses). Each stop we made was evident that he was well respected in the area and his knowledge was very informative. We never felt pressured to leave when we were enjoying walking around, his stops were well planned out and efficient. This was great because we only had one full day in the area. He took us to places where the buses couldn’t go. We had a car rented and considered making this tour ourselves and I am so glad we chose to use Joe instead. We were able to sit back and relax with a professional driver who loved and knew the area and its history. The pictures we captured and the memories we made, we will never forget. Joe was a wonderful tour guide!! I spent two days with him; we traveled around the Ring of Kerry and then drove up to the Dingle Peninsula. We saw all the highlights and hidden gems in two days. He looked ahead at the weather and planned events for each day to maximize my experience based on expected visibility/ rain. He suggested more ideas based on my interests and didn’t take it personally if I chose not to do one of his suggestions, which is exactly what I want! He gave lots of ideas and let me customize my trip. Joe is incredibly kind, easy to get along with, and very perceptive. I traveled alone as a young(ish) woman and was so glad that I chose Joe to show me around!

We had a fantastic day with Joe on the Ring of Kerry. The weather didn't cooperate, but Joe made the trip fantastic! He took us to many places off the main bus route that we would have never seen without him. We stopped at beaches, museums, local pubs where the locals eat, and even stopped for homemade ice cream for the kids. Joe wasn't watching the clock all day and wanted to ensure we had plenty of time and a great tour. I would HIGHLY recommend booking a tour with Joe. We left feeling like we had made a new friend. His Mercedes is comfortable with plenty of room for 4. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely book with Joe again.

Our first trip to Ireland couldn't have been better and it was all because of Joe Long. His private tour was taylored to our every need. He found an excellent hotel for us at a wonderful price. Joe took us to off the beaten paths to incredible little restaurants, castles, and breath taking scenery. As a tour guide he is unbeatable!

Oh my goodness!! Where do I start with Joe Long! He is not a 5 star, he is a perfect Ten!!!! From the moment that I contacted him, he was very quick to get back to me with pricing and details. He was willing to do not only the Ring of Kerry but the next day also do Dingle Peninsula. And..... the brave chap also did a 3rd day to explore Killarney Park and take us to our next adventure location! Joe helped me to plan how to arrange transport from Dublin down to Kerry Airport. He also helped to choose a place for us to stay and the place he chose was amazing the breakfasts were great! Mr Long selected great places for us to eat that were off the beaten path very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Even took us to a beach so that we could get our feet wet in the water because it was such a warm and lovely day. He had his work cut out for him with our group as it was like herding a bunch of turtles. He really went above and beyond. He listens to what you like and does his best with the alloted time to get accomplished what you won't see on the big bases. Before we even went on the trip I felt like I already had an Irish best friend with him! Joe is so kind and professional. He knows the place well! If we go back, I would call him up in a heart beat! You won't find any more professional, kind true gentleman than this!!!

My wife and I toured the Ring of Kerry with Joe as part of our trip to Ireland for the Notre Dame game, and it was a wonderful day of sightseeing and learning. Joe was courteous, professional and very attentive to our needs and he constantly pointed out things and added history along the drive. Seeing the Kerry Cliffs, having an Irish coffee at the Red Fox with the Kerry Bog Village, and watching the sheepdogs at work was amazing! Lunch in Portmagee was a wonderful way to break up the drive, followed by delicious chocolate sampling at the Skelligs chocolate factory. You HAVE to have the ice cream in Sneem! The admissions costs, when needed, at some of the stops were very reasonable. Joe did a wonderful job and made our day one we'll never forget! Highly recommend!
