She picked us up in a Mercedes mini-van- which was a little tight for the person in the back seat but very comfortable for 3. Mary is very knowledgeable on the area, she pointed out deer grazing, knew where the old castles and round houses from ancient times were, and accommodated our desire to focus on geological wonders like the Cliffs of Kerry, some waterfalls, and beautiful mountains and landscapes of this part of Ireland. Mary’s full day tour of the Ring of Kerry was informative & entertaining. The trip was well planned and offered many options to accommodate our interests. This was a fantastic tour.. Mary was delightful and so knowledgeable about Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. She filled our tour with great stories of the history of the area as well as how it has changed over the years. She took us to wonderful spots for amazing photo ops and handled the narrow, curvy roads like a pro! It was like taking a ride with an old friend. I highly recommend Mary and this tour!

Overall a nice tour though there was a bit too much sharing of personal political views and family matters by the guide. Also, the car was not suitable for 4 adults.

Went on walking tour of Kenmare and had a wonderful time. Eamonn was a wonderful guide and his knowledge of the history of Kenmare was amazing. Would highly recommend this walking tour.

Our experience with Mary included a drive around the ring and a sheep herding demonstration. Mary is a lifelong resident of the region with extensive knowledge of the history and geography. My wife commented after the tour that she enjoyed the stories almost as much as the scenery. Loved, loved, loved this tour. Worth every penny, and then some. My family had a wonderful day on this tour. Mary is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and happy to share insightful information about every stop along the way. It was also nice to have some options here and there to fit our particular interests and not waste time elsewhere. Just be aware that the roads can get a bit bumpy and curvy (not Mary's fault!) for those that get motion sickness; just take your dramamine and you'll be fine.

My husband and I were in Ireland for the first time and booked a three day tour to the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and Beara Peninsula. We LOVED Mary G. O'Sullivan! She is experienced, knowledgeable, fun, very good natured, and relaxed. We were able to go where a bus tour could not have taken us, and we saw castles, the impressive Uragh stone circle, beautiful vistas and more. We would so enjoy getting to spend more time with her on future trips. It was our most enjoyable travel experience ever.

Really great tour of the ring of Kerry. Mary or another guide will take you to great places in Kerry including the cliffs (couldn’t see because of the wind), scenic shorelines, the beauty of mountainous Kerry where queen Victoria loved and great pictures that were taken of me (mary) is a great photographer. I had so much fun seeing what I really wanted to see which was Ireland’s beauty this trip was so worth it.

Mary made our trip to Ireland even more special! She was a fantastic tour guide, mixing historical information with beautiful scenery. We toured the Ring of Kerry and took a ferry to Valentia Island which was spectacular. We also stopped at a sheep farm which my son loved! Mary went out of her way to accommodate my 5 y/o son which was greatly apricated. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable. My only regret is we didn't book another tour with her! There is just something about Mary! My wife and I had a fantastic time touring the countryside around the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula with Mary as our guide. Out trip was a fast few days without the kids and Mary helped us make the most of it, showing us a large portion of the Wild Atlantic Way and dropping us off in Doolin for a sunset hike of the Cliffs of Moher. My wife and I recently enjoyed a tour of the Ring of Kerry and the National Park, as well as Valentia Island and the Scelig ring. Mary was extremely knowledgeable, as she provided us the history of these lands as we toured the fantastic scenery. Mary showed us some of the most magnificent scenery we have ever seen. She even took photos of us at scenic locations. She drove a comfortable Mercedes, that provided more than enough room for the two of us. Mary is also a genealogist, and was able to provide some research for my family heritage. She also provided a few recommendations, such as staying at Ballyseede Castle the night before our tour.

We very much enjoyed our tour with Mary. She was on time and picked us up at our B&B in Kenmare, where we started the tour. She gave us plenty of opportunities to stop and take photographs. She never rushed us whenever we stopped. She even took some photographs of us together. She was very knowledgeable about the area and told us a lot of information about where we were and the history behind it. We also got to go to places where the larger or smaller tour buses would not be able to go, especially on Valentia Island. She was lovely to talk to and we had some very lively conversations over a lot of topics. We would highly recommend this tour with Mary.

Mary was the perfect person to drive us around the ring of Kerry, she was knowledgeable, witty and gave the right amount of commentary. We saw many things not everyone sees, especially if you’re on a bus. It was so pleasant to sit back and take it all in, Mary stopped whenever we asked and pulled over for photo ops, never rushed us or made us feel touristy! My favorite stopping point for food was lunch at the Waterville Golf club!! Amazing! My husband really enjoyed watching the golfers while we had lunch. Even though we have a rental car here, being driven by Mary was the best decision yet!!!

I book private tours with locals whenever I vacation in new place. Generally I book via word of mouth with folks in my personal and business network, so I had very high expectations of Mary. Mary exceeded those expectations by leaps and bounds. She was prompt for our 9am departure from our rental house and was full of knowledge about not only the Ring of Kerry, but all over Ireland. We had the most amazing experience with Mary on our Ring of Kerry trip. She knew the best spots, the best routes and the most picturesque viewpoints. We had a diverse group of family members and Mary catered to everyone in the group. We feel like we saw everything we wanted to see along the way and were so appreciative of Mary’s expertise in the itinerary! Mary is AMAZING. She is so kind, knowledgeable, and fun! We took a full day private tour of the Ring of Kerry. Mary took us places that the big tour buses couldn’t travel to. She told us stories of growing up in Killarney, Irish history, and even current Irish news stories. We were able to get out and explore when we wanted to, take photographs of beautiful scenery, and had a great lunch at a pub during the tour. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a tour with Mary and will definitely book again, if we are so lucky to do so.

We had an absolutely glorious day with Mary. She took us out on the Ring of Kerry, on roads where the big busses can’t go. It was a great day and gave us a break from driving ourselves around. We hit all of the great viewpoints where she gave us the opportunity to hop out and take pictures. We stopped at Cahergall Stone Fort and Torc Waterfall as well has many highlights along the way. Mary took us on an amazing tour of the Ring of Kerry in mid-late May 2022. It was not a traditional tour as Mary is extremely well schooled. in the area and emphasized areas that would open our eyes rather than simply visiting stops mentioned on tour guides. I don't know where to start. Yes, Mary was a pure delight to spend the day with - she is well endowed with the famed Irish 'gift of gab'. And though she had years away from Ireland having had fabulous experiences abroad, her knowledge of the area was astounding. She took us to beautiful places that traditional tours can't go and all the time gave us powerful historical context both for the regions we were visiting and Ireland in general. Mary is not "simply" a tour guide - she is an intellect both by education and by vocation. We learned so much of the Irish experience even as we were traversing this unbelievably beautiful countryside. It was a relaxing yet invigorating day! No rushing and we felt so much at ease not driving (her car is amazing)! One of the most touching moments of our tour - perhaps our entire trip - was when we were on our way to the Killarney National Park. Mary gave us an intimate view of the very difficult time of Ireland during the famine. She then shared a heart wrenching story which is told in a beautiful song that we then brought up on our phone. Here we were traversing the old, beautiful countryside of Ireland listening to this poignant anthem of loss and sacrifice. Stunning. You have many options for your tours of the Ring of Kerry. Mary provides a private tour and it is not cheap. We nonetheless felt it to be a bargain - we loved our day with her and our tour. We strongly recommend her services and feel it is unlikely that you will find a more able, knowledgeable resource - she knows so much about Ireland because of the time she has put into her tour guide vocation, her education which provides another whole level of insight and understanding and last but not least her love of the country she calls home.
