This was such a fun and iconic Irish experience. I loved it and so did my daughter, the Killarney National apart is so beautiful with views of the lake on horseback.

We really enjoyed the horses. The guides were nice, but portions of the trail were shared with vehicles and joggers, so it wasn’t quite as peaceful and serene as I had imagined.
The staff was helpful and very nice. The horse was gentle. ,2 hours was a bit long for me, but I am 71 years old. I had a hard time dismounting. There was not much information/ discourse about the park...when the young girl did talk, she was in front and my son and I could not hear her. Overall, the ride was nice and it was a great way to see alot of this beautiful park.
Horses are very settled and easy to handle. Because most of the horses on our ride were white and we rode through mud and water they appeared to be not groomed well. This is NOT the case as they ride the same route more than once daily and their legs understandably are muddy. Our guides were AWSOME and helped with anything and everything. Cudos to them! Well worth the price of admission!
This was such an amazing experience. Definitely arrive early to get set up with boots, helmet, and get matched with a horse. Set up takes a little while. The views were spectacular and the park is so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to others and do it again myself.
It was absolutely beautiful! The park is stunning and we saw plenty of deer. The views from the top hill down to the lake is worth the whole ride honestly! Cookie was a lovely horse, the guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and THANKFULLY we were split into smaller groups and I was with people who could mostly ride. There was one other experienced rider in the group so we were able to do some lovely trot sets in spots! Not just your average ‘nose to tail’ ride which I was supremely grateful for. Not sure if the inexperienced group did trot sets so I’m not sure if it’s standard but it was definitely a welcome relief for an experienced rider!
Fantastic! Trail ride through the park—best views! Not different—trotted a couple of times but mostly a slow amble on designated horse trails.
Great 2 hour horseback ride thru the beautiful National Park! Every view was incredible!! The horses were so well behaved and the guides were great. Would def recommend!!
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and were able to get all of us up on the right horses The guides were personable and nice and ride was perfect!
What a beautiful calm ride through the park! The guides are knowledgeable and patient! Great hospitality.
Everyone was friendly and helpful the sites were great. We had a beautiful day to ride. With mountains and clouds in background it was a postcard picture
The ride was so beautiful and so relaxing The girls that led our ride were so sweet and did a great job!
Had a wonderful experience riding through Kilkenny National Park with Amy and Sarah, two fun and friendly guides. A beautiful day with gorgeous scenery.
Not only were the sights to see absolutely stunning but our guides and horses were friendly and knowledgeable.
We enjoyed this two hour tour so much this was our second time! The horses are extremely well behaved. Guides are very friendly. And the scenery/views… breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend!!!
Park was beautiful, guides and horses were excellent. Horse riding isn't for me, but my wife is really big on it and she and her horse riding friends had a great time.
My mom and I had the absolute best time. Our guides were lovely, the horses were quite calm and perfect beginners, and the views were stunning the whole time. I would absolutely recommend booking this experience!
Would had given 5 but we really wanted to hear more information about the areas we were seeing during the ride.
As a person who has never ridden a horse, Aidan (our tour guide) was extremely patient snd kind. We had a wonderful time and will remember this experience as a highlight of our Ireland trip. Also, be prepared for the rain!
Had a lovely time! Red deer and sika deer plentiful and the cool morning really showed the Irish beauty of the park. Jade, Aiden and the other girl ( apologies forgot your name) did an excellent job handling a large group of 11. I am a a beginner and felt very comfortable on Leo. The horses knew what to do without much guidance at all. Looking forward to returning for another ride.
Really relaxing experience. It didn’t rain on my horse back trip. Personally, I don’t think it would have been as fun if it rained but enjoyed the scenery, the quiet and the horses. Definitely recommend if you enjoy horseback riding and beautiful scenery. I am Also a beginner (have only ridden horses 5x) and it was very easy to do. No issues if you are a beginner.
Great staff. Good instruction Beautiful ride with overview of sites on ride. One of the highlights of our 12 day trip. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience with knowledgeable guides. Views were wonderful and the horses well cared for. Fun way to experience the National Park.
All was fine at the riding stable. Two hour ride at a walk only. The horses were very docile. It would have been nicer to have gotten out of a walk
Had a great time on the ride. The young women guides were great. All of the horses looked well taken care of and were well behaved.
Beautiful horses who take you through this beautiful forest. The guides were lovely and so was the entire experience.
Today’s tour through Beautiful Killarney National Park was so much fun! 🤩 My horse was Ray, the boss of all of the other horses. Such a ham!🤣 We were behind Isla, from Sweden. Isla was a delight! We chatted & enjoyed the scenery. The group’s leader , Anna was fun & witty. Was a relaxed atmosphere & can’t beat the scenery in beautiful Ireland. Lovely people on my tour. Thank you so much! 🌈✨☘️🐴🇮🇪
Staff were extremely welcoming upon arrival and ensured we were matched with a horse appropriate to our experience. Tour guides provided insight into some history through places past and the deer/cows we passed. As an avid nature lover this experience was a nice change to take in the views, all whilst having an animal fix whilst on holidays.
Wonderful tour through the national park. Deer scattered throughout the park and the scenery was beautiful. The horses are very healthy and well cared for and the staff very helpful. If you’re an animal lover, this is for you.
This was kind of a frustrating experience because this tour is VERY restricted. They walk you in a tight line and you are not allowed any freedom to move. You must stay exactly in line behind the horse in front of you. I have been riding for many years, so this was really disappointing to me. For guided vacation trail rides, I never expect to gallop around wildly, but to walk at a glacial pace where my horses face was basically attached to the rump of the horse in front of it? for two hours and 175 euros? yeah hard pass. you get to trot a little bit, but even this was an issue because my partner is a super beginner and didn't want to trot! But you HAVE to trot with everyone else otherwise you'd break the line! So I can't even recommend this trail ride to beginners. the park is beautiful though, and the guides were awesome. But next time I'd skip this trail ride and just rent a bike.
Every time we travel we look for a ride. This one was the best! Beautiful scenery and the ride was geared for each person’s ability. We highly recommend this experience!
Knowledgeable staff, great for all levels of experience, trail ride provided lots of great views and wildlife sightings.
Great morning ride. Well mannered horses. Competent staff. Beautiful views of park. Beginner riders felt comfortable.
The whole experience was wonderful. The guides were kind, attentive and friendly. The scenery was like out of a picture book. The stable even provides boots for riders. Would strongly recommend this for anyone visiting the area!
The stables do a fantastic job of matching you with an appropriate horse and they ensure that you get to have a canter if you are capable. It was a beautiful way to experience they National park and learn some of the history. I would have loved the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt or polo as a memento of my ride. Something with the stable name and a picture of my horse Sophie or of the scenery.
They choose the horse based off of your size and experience level. As a beginner, they handed me my horse “Ree” and the woman said “He will protect you, he is best boy” … he required almost no direction but listened to everything I asked of him. He was perfect. I was able to enjoy the beautiful Irish landscape without worry, he truly was best boy and I was so grateful for this experience! [tip your guides!]
Unfortunately, we had quite the weather during our trip. The staff was excellent, making sure everybody was OK and did the best they could to give all of us a great experience. Even with the weather or not being friendly, the view from the water was amazing.
A very enjoyable horse ride with friendly guides and beautiful views of the national park. We spotted deers and elk on our ride!
Nice ride through the Killarney National Park. Did two hours. The scenery is incredible. Guides were informative and helpful.
Beginner friendly, kind with good instructions. Ride was beautiful and the guides stopped for plenty of pictures. Highly recommend!
The ride is lovely and staff is terrific! Tip: Place Killarney Riding Stables in Google maps or the address in the email because it is located at another spot than main entrance to Killarney National Park.
Be sure to arrive half hour early . Also, they provide helmets and boots. They go in rain or shine. Thankfully, we had beautiful weather.
Excellent ride. The horses are hand picked according to your riding experiences and height. The guides provide positive support and guidance in addition to highlights of the area history. Fantastic, I strongly recommend.
The staff was friendly and were excellent with the horses. The scenery was spectacular! It don’t hurt that we had a perfect day!
Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and very good with kids
Seeing the park on horseback is amazing. We did the 2 hour tour and the views were amazing. We were up close and personal with both kinds of deer and a few kerry cows. Great walk and trot! Thank you ladies it was fabulousfabulous
Tommy was amazing. He did a fantastic job giving out tour information as well as great information about Irish culture and history.
A lovely ride with wonderful, well-cared-for horses and terrific guided! The park was scenic and peaceful! There is no better way to see it than on horse back!
The views were gorgeous! The staff is very helpful and super friendly. We booked in November and ended up getting a private tour with our guide, no one else. Lovely views of the lake. Well mannered horses. 10/10 would book again
Really great . Only complaint is that viator only provided one time period to go and the facility itself provides many different time frames to go there
