We stayed at this hotel for our mini-moon after getting married. The moment we walked in we were captured by the elegance and beauty of the hotel. The staff were so professional, high standard but also friendly. We recieved a complimentary upgrade to a Superior King room which was fantastic and so clean. This is the first time I ever called a hotel room, basically perfect, and I have very high standards when it comes to cleanliness in hotel rooms. The food was exceptional, quite possibly the best chef we ever experienced. Even something as casual as a fish and chips was wonderful! And also a nod to the Chef and staff for extending a heart felt congratulations on behalf of being newly married. We were able to fully switch off from the world, knowing we were in a fabulous hotel that do everything the correct way and exceed expectations and obviously the amazing Kilarney national Park right outside. The only thing I would add that may sound slightly negative is that we felt we had to ve very mindful in the pool and spa area due to several edges and steps under the water that are hard to see as they were not lit up by small lights or marked when we were there. That is the only flaw we found. Aside from that I need to state that we recieved the greatest massage we ever had. The masseuse was top tier and the relaxation area after the massage was beautiful. We really hope to come back here again in the future, perhaps for our one year wedding anniversary. Thank you Muckross for being nothing short of exceptional, and for making our mini-moon truely wonderful. This is a proper hotel experience ladies and gentlemen!

Muckross Park Hotel was the most incredible venue for our wedding. The staff were exceptional from start to finish, and a special thank you to Niall and Orla, who were an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. The food was outstanding and every detail was taken care of so beautifully. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Muckross Park Hotel to any couple looking for their dream wedding venue! 🤍
From booking my room last minute to check in to check out this beautiful hotel is exactly what Kerry hospitality is about. My gorgeous room had a lovely little personal touch of a welcome note with beautiful little chocolates- thank you Had a lovely meal in Monks restaurant, great selection on the menu. My bed was so comfortable I didn't even remember falling asleep it was absolutely huge! Its a great location for a stay to recharge the batteries after a walk in nearby gorgeous Meeting of the waters and Ladies View. Love the spa and pool here too so refreshing .Looking forward to my next getaway to Kerry! Perfect place to recharge.
We had a wonderful stay at Muckross Park Hotel. I visited with my mother, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and our room was spotless and very comfortable. A special thank you to the lovely housekeeping lady who was so friendly and helpful. She kindly provided us with extra coffee, which was greatly appreciated. The spa was outstanding—without doubt one of the best spas we have ever visited. The facilities were excellent, beautifully maintained, and incredibly relaxing. We also enjoyed dining at the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The waiters were very professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The only small issue was the early check-in charge. We arrived at around 1:30 pm and were asked to pay an additional €25 for early check-in. We felt this was a little disappointing, especially since guests still check out before noon. However, this was only a minor point in what was otherwise a fantastic experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Muckross Park Hotel. Thank you to the entire team for their kindness, professionalism, and excellent hospitality.
My 3-star rating is not necessarily due to anything bad, but because much more needs to be done for this hotel to live up to its 5 stars. Attention to many of the details that one should expect from a 5-star hotel are lacking. Some of the details I’m referring to: stains in the hallway carpets; dents and chipped paint in the hallway walls; chipped and cracked sink in the bathroom; shower was a small, limescale-coated shower head in the bath; patches of mould in the spa showers; sections of the spa out of order. Parts of the hotel, like the lobby, are very nice, but elsewhere it feels a bit shabby and in need of updating. The breakfast was a big letdown. The continental buffet falls far below the standard of even more budget-friendly hotels like NYX and Travellodge - limited options, stodgy mini-pastries thrown in a basket. Just very average, which might be fine elsewhere but in a 5-star hotel at €300 per night midweek, this should be outstanding. The hot options made to order are fine but overall it lacks anything to distinguish it from an average high street cafe serving brunch. This isn’t to say that it was a bad experience - the staff are fantastic, it’s a lovely setting, the hotel is generally comfortable, and the pool is lovely. All this is just to say that the overall experience is not on par with that of other similar 5-stars hotels. It was all just fine, but no wow factor, nothing noteworthy. In other 5-star hotels, you’re consistently and repeatedly wowed on arrival - by the lobby, the room, the bathroom, the shower, the gardens, the breakfast, etc. None of that was on offer here. Attention to the small and even not-so-small details that make for an outstanding rather than a decent experience is much needed.
