Muckross Park Hotel & Spa is one of the best hotels that I’ve stayed at, on par with Four Seasons and 1 Hotel.
The rooms are spacious and luxuriously equipped. The included breakfast is delicious. The high tea at Monks is delightful. Dinner at both restaurants was terrific.
The hotel is across the street from the entrance to Killarney National Park and sits on the Ring of Kerry road.
It’s incredible value for money and you will be delighted by your experience and location.
Whenever I visit Ireland, I intend to stay at Muckross!
My partner enjoyed a 2 night stay here. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Fantastic service and enjoyed breakfast and a two course meal in Colgans pub on both nights included in our staff. We also used the spa (no treatments) and complementary use of bikes. You can contact concierge via WhatsApp and we asked for towels and water and it was delivered to our room in a few minutes. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
This review is specifically related to a poor air conditioning system. They set the temperature at 19c and cannot make it go lower. Due to the building design, it does not even feel like 19c - due to humidity levels. If you need a cool room, this is not the hotel for you. The staff are friendly, but they won't actually do anything to assist you. Do not stay here if you need a cool room in summer months. Otherwise it is a nice looking hotel, has a spa, nice tub, etc. but if your most important thing is having a cool room, it is not the place to stay. It also seems it may be a broad problem across Ireland - buildings are not equipped for increasing heat loads, and mechanical systems are controlled broadly not at the room level. If you need a cool room, for health reasons and the like, be very aware of this. There may be other hotels with better cooling.
We had a wonderful stay at Muckross Park Hotel & Spa and it was truly one of the highlights of our 10 days in Ireland.
A special thank you to Breida at check-in, who was so kind and thoughtful. She surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful suite in honor of our 70th birthdays, which made our stay even more memorable.
The concierge team was outstanding. The two gentlemen at the concierge desk were incredibly helpful, arranging bike rentals for us to explore Killarney National Park and organizing transportation for our day in the Gap of Dunloe. That adventure ended up being one of our favorite days of the entire trip.
The breakfast each morning was exceptional, with a great selection and excellent service. Every server we encountered was friendly, attentive, and welcoming.
It was also fun to experience the lively atmosphere of the hotel while two weddings were taking place during our stay. The celebrations added a special charm without ever disrupting the relaxing environment.
From the beautiful property and excellent service to the perfect location near Killarney National Park, Muckross Park Hotel & Spa exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again. One of the very best hotels we experienced in Ireland. 🇮🇪🍀
Truly one of the absolute best places to stay. The property and hotel itself is gorgeous. Lots of parking, beautiful spa, comfortable beds, good sized rooms, great food- the list goes on. Very clean, it’s nice and quiet so you can actually relax. This was our second time coming and we will definitely be returning. Staff is incredibly helpful and kind.
