The hotel decor and rooms were lovely, but the food was awful. Cold plates, lukewarm soup, main courses just warm. The same desserts each night (little squares of cakes) of our 4 night stay. Breakast was ok. For a 4 star hotel the food was dire. No waitress/waiter service.
In terms of location in Killarney you cant get any better than this hotel. Its literally situated in the middle of everything. The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, professional, friendly staff and really good breakfast. There is a choice of bars with in the hotel as well as a very nice swimming pool. Parking is around the corner on Lewis Road and only costs €3 per day.
Great location. Many shops, pubs & restaurants within walking distance. Parking across the street. Bit of a jaunt to lug suitcases. Had to circle several times for a spot to open up. Nice Irish breakfast buffet in the morning. If elderly, high step into shower-tub so request handicap accessible to hopefully avoid. Staff very friendly.
Easily the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Perfect location in the town centre also a pub at either side that can be accessed by the hotel reception. Very clean, nice big room with tv and a big bathroom. Food is very nice and the staff are very friendly and polite. Located in the town centre near all the pubs and shops. Killarney is a great town to go to and I hope to go back and stay at this hotel sometime in the future
This is an unbelievable hotel. The location is quite amazing as it is right in the heart of Killarney, which makes it very centralized to everything. We came here after a longer day of travels, and were pleasantly surprised to see the rooms. We stayed in a triple, which is comprised of three twin beds in which they can be moved apart or together. This is so convenient depending on your situation. We enjoyed the incredibly nice shower/bath situation, as it was very pleasant following a long day. They also have shower caps, wash cloths, towels, slippers, and soap available for guests. The number of mirrors is beneficial for the three of us girls staying there, and there is a number of options. They also offer here breakfast and dinner (at least these were the meals we partook in here) that are buffet styled. The options were delicious and luckily we could get as much or as little as we would like to eat.
