We loved our time here- we took advantage of the amenities - the bar downstairs is properly furnished, and we LOVED the spa and gym facilities. After day of hiking around Killarney national park, we recovered with some pool swimming then the sauna and the steam room and the Jacuzzi and the cold shower. They supplied robes and nice locker rooms. We used the gym which was equipped with all the machines and free weights one would need for your basic full body workout. The rooms were clean and the location of the hotel was perfect. The staff was there for everything we needed. Turned out we booked an extra room since we did not know there were enough beds in the first. And although we booked through third party site, the staff allowed us to make a change before we payed. Saved us a lot of money. Would 100% stay here again.

I Highly recommend The Plaza Hotel, from the moment we arrived, everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel valued throughout our visit. Our room was spotless, beautifully presented, and exceptionally comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The hotel's facilities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and luxurious. Breakfast was delicious with a fantastic selection of fresh, high-quality food, and every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Dinner in the Tanyard felt like an incredible treat, the food was outstanding. Cocktails in both The Tanyard and Cafe Du Parc were delectable, a real treat!! If you're looking for outstanding service, immaculate rooms, and a truly memorable stay, I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. We will definitely be returning and would happily give it five stars, can't wait for our next visit!!!!
The Killarney Plaza Hotel is a beautiful hotel in an excellent central location. It’s just a short walk from the lively town centre and within easy walking distance of Killarney National Park, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The hotel has a dramatic and stylish feel throughout. The grand staircase makes a fantastic first impression, and the pool area is absolutely stunning—it was definitely the highlight of our stay. The restaurant area is a little confusing to navigate at first, but it’s also beautifully designed. Our room was spacious enough and comfortable. The bed was very soft, while the pillows were just okay and not really to my personal preference. The bathroom felt a little on the small side. One issue we experienced was with the blackout curtains. While they do a great job of blocking light, they don’t close completely at the top. Because the hotel is illuminated at night, a significant amount of light still entered the room, making the blackout curtains far less effective. We even had to use the bed throws to try and cover the gap. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is elegant, well located, and the pool area alone makes it worth a visit. With just a few small improvements, it would be an outstanding place to stay.
Had a fantastic weekend here in the plaza. The hotel is spotless and so well kept. Beautiful fresh flowers in reception giving a gorgeous smell. The staff are beyond helpful. They simply cannot do enough..the spa and gym facilities are superb. Food and drink were a delight. 5 stars all round
This was a true 5 star experience. From the heated floor and towel warmer, to the views of the National Park, to the absolutely delightful staff, you won't be disappointed at the Killarney Plaza. We were welcomed to our suite with a chilled bottle of wine & beautiful sweets. Inside, we found a personalized message on the TV, enough towels for a group of 10, and a magnificently comfortable bed. The room was huge, plush and well-appointed. Staff could be found cleaning the property 24/7 it seemed, polishing marble and mirrors. The pool is gorgeously decorated with mosaic tile and offered a quality steam & sauna. Downside is that the shower in the pool area was out of order. I should also mention there was no Wi-Fi in room 418. We were told they had just redone all the routers and were troubleshooting, and we were given a password for the property's Wi-Fi. The true gem of the Killarney Plaza is Tim, with his gregarious nature & excellent advice. He's funny and sweet and when we asked about a bike rental facility he pointed us in the direction of the hotel's own bikes, which were lent to us at no cost to explore the National Park. The hotel also warmly welcomed us back & let us store our luggage for a few hours between driving in from Dingle & leaving for Dublin on the train. This hotel was a highlight of our Ireland vacation, and truly holds a special place in our hearts.
