1-day Safari To Akagera National Park With Big Five Adventure

We had an incredible experience last weekend with our guide Farhan. He is reliable, punctual and very knowledgeable about the wildlife in Akagera. Thanks to his experience as a guide he was able to provide us with the perfect day... driving safely to and from Kigali and finding the perfect moments in the park to stop and show us the animals. I can't imagine a more lovely guide, he was friendly and clearly passionate about his job, and I can highly recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in a great experience at Akagera. It was a wonderful and unique experience thanks to our amazing guides Farhan and Fabrice! They were very informed and showed us a lot of animals. I very much enjoyed the friendly and welcoming atmosphere and how the guides were paying attention to ours needs :) I would 100% recommend this trip!

We had a one and half day with a tour guide called Mansoor, a young very professional guide that was experienced with the Park and where the animals were located within the park. This guide I would recommend, great experience!

What an amazing day in Akagera National Park! Miriam was a fantastic guide. She arrived promptly to pick us up and we got an early start for a full day seeing at least 20 different animals plus a large variety of birds. She shared what we could expect, her English was terrific and communication was easy. She shared some helpful and interesting information about some of the animals and the park, but left us to our amazement and conversation amongst ourselves much of the time, which was just right for us. Safety was a priority, but so was seeing as many of the big animals as we could, she even turned us around when she received information about some lions; we were able to see 4 females and 2 males, and they were beautiful! We also saw elephants, rhinos, hippos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, baboons , monkeys, and so much more. I would highly recommend Miriam as a guide and would definitely book with her again if we are fortunate enough to go on another Safari.

This was a great experience. The vehicle was comfy and nice. Mariam was an amazing guide. We stopped and had lunch. Mariam did her best to make sure we saw all of the animals and had an enjoyable time.

This was an outstanding Safari experience. Miriam was outstanding guide. She was very knowledgeable and was able to get us to see all of the big five animals. We saw elephants, lions, rhinoceros, water buffalo, baboons, monkeys, hippopotamus, crocodiles, warthogs, and many many species of birds. She was flexible and able to reroute our trip to see the lions as they were attempting to hunt a giant monitor lizard

I had a wonderful time. Safari tour guide and driver did a great job showing us the various animals and birds. I think we saw just about every animal there was to see. Lunch stop was wonderful. Good food at a good price.

We had a wonderful safari day with Mariam as our driver and guide. She spotted a Ross' Turaco as soon as we left the game lodge! She was a skilled driver for the all day safari and also on the busy Kigali streets when we returned. Her English was excellent and we enjoyed our time seeing plenty of giraffes, zebras, rhinos, antelope, birds, cape buffalo and even 3 sleepy lions. I highly recommend her and her company.

Great 1-day tour of Akagera National park for a game ride with my guide Miriam who was so lovely and informative ! Saw 4 of the big 5 (didn’t get a chance to see a Lion but not for lack of trying !) - the park is beautiful as well as the drive there from Kigali. Can recommend for solo travelers (my experience) or groups. Great communication beforehand and during tour. Pick up at 5am from hotel in Kigali and drop off around 7.30pm Would love to come back ! Thanks again for the great experience :)

Mansoor is the best guide ever! His knowledge of the wild life at Akagera made the trip that much more memorable. He arrived promptly at 5am and we set off. A quick stop for amazing coffee and treats along the way with great conversation was a fantastic start to an incredible trip. He is an expert in not only driving through the park but also spotting all the animals. I still don’t know how he did it! I can’t recommend Mansoor enough. He is a genuinely pleasant person and you will have a great trip with him by your side!

We had so much fun at Sarari. Driver were helpful and told us of animals. Car was safe and tidy. We saw different kinds of animals.
