Scandic Kemi

Good service, location and food. Easy route to hotel by car. Parking area is a bit on a tight side (grid size and numbers), but plenty of free spaces nearby. Restaurants, bars and shops at walking distance 1km max.

​"An absolutely appalling experience. The shedding Christmas tree alone says it all... The corridors were not properly vacuumed, and over the course of three days, no one managed to clean the table in the hallway where guests are supposed to sit and enjoy the view. To top it off, there was mold in the bathroom corners. These are just a few issues. We only stayed because we were left with no other choice, but we would have left immediately if we had a better option. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone who has a choice."

The Scandic Kemi is an ideal place for exploring the south of Lappland. We were there for 4 days including new years eve. The rooms are looking a little bit odd but this is no complaint! Everything is working fine, we slept well. The ladies at the reception are the best! 😃

The Scandic Hotel is located in the center of Kemi, close to the main shopping street. There are several ideal spots nearby to view the Northern Lights. The hotel and rooms are designed in a nice Finnish style. The rooms are good and spacious, and the bathroom is very large. The bedding is really good, both for adult and children's beds. The free-access pool and sauna were a pleasant surprise; we swam there every day. The breakfast and dinner buffets are extremely generous, with plenty of choice and quality. There's even a vegan and gluten-free section. The games room in reception is a real plus when you come with children. The staff was very pleasant and always attentive to our every need. I highly recommend this hotel!
