⭐ “Award-winning breakfast”? You really have to wonder what award it won. I have stayed in many hotels across Europe, but this was by far one of the worst and most shocking hotel experiences I have ever had, particularly when it comes to breakfast, service and organisation. The hotel apparently advertises an award-winning breakfast. After experiencing it ourselves, we genuinely have to ask: for what exactly? If you want to have cereal, you apparently need to complete an organisational obstacle course: one queue for a bowl, another for yoghurt and yet another for the cereal. Having to queue three times just to make a bowl of cereal is quite an achievement for a hotel breakfast buffet. Despite being told otherwise, the breakfast area was consistently packed from 8:00 to 10:00. At the same time, conference attendees were walking directly through the breakfast tables. Relaxed breakfast? Absolutely not. The service was even more bizarre. Rubbish, cleared dishes and used food were placed immediately next to tables where guests were still eating. Meanwhile, staff apparently found the time to rearrange decorations somewhere in the room. The priorities were difficult to understand. From around 8:00 a.m., items were already no longer being replenished. No jam. No croissants. For an allegedly award-winning breakfast, this is simply embarrassing. The layout doesn't help either. Tables and chairs are placed so close to the buffet that it is difficult to move around, while guests are practically walking directly past other people's plates. Privacy and comfort clearly weren't priorities. And then there is the room. The rooms are extremely poorly soundproofed, and the air-conditioning cannot be properly switched off. Even more bizarrely, the unit is located behind the wardrobe, which seems to amplify the noise rather than reduce it. A good night's sleep was certainly not what we experienced. But what really stood out was the attitude of the service staff. The manner in which guests were treated came across as exceptionally arrogant, dismissive and condescending. I have rarely experienced such an unpleasant attitude in a hotel. Hotels can have busy periods. Things can go wrong. A breakfast buffet may occasionally run out of something. But when you combine poor organisation, an overcrowded breakfast area, food not being replenished, rubbish being placed next to guests, conference attendees walking through the dining area, extremely noisy rooms and staff who make you feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying guest, this is no longer an isolated mistake. It is a fundamental quality and service problem. The most disappointing part is the enormous gap between the hotel's apparent image and the actual experience. “Award-winning breakfast” sounds impressive. Our experience was closer to award-winning marketing — but certainly not award-winning service. One of the worst hotel experiences I have had in Europe. Definitely not recommended, and we will not be returning.

We had an excellent time at hour stay. Room was cozy and nice. We asked for a small bed for our son and it was excellent. Service was kind and welcoming. Sauna was terrific (although women sauna is tiny in comparison with male sauna. Location is great for a weekend touring Oulu. And breakfast in the hotel is a MUST.
Fantastic hotel with great services, new gym and amenities. Food is outstanding, especially the breakfast buffet! Staff are friendly and I strongly suggest becoming a rewards member as you receive 10€ voucher per night (Book only with hotel website not external agency). My only suggestion is that the music in the main restaurant and bar should be changed... Feels like a post apocalyptic scifi movie opening... at least change it up. Other than that, it is a great value hotel and perfectly located.
Very cosy hotel, clean, professional staff. Parking to be reserved in advance to be in the safe side. Great blueberry juice! Reindeer Schnitzel was a bit to salty but progressed very professional.
Room was new and nice overall. Sauna had a quite short timer and not "clear enough" how it operates. Literally one button on the wall without explanation. Anyway löyly was smooth and we rested well even though fire alarm woke us up. Very good if not exceptional breakfast in "finnish standards" = not too high quality normally. One chef was making perfect omelettes and did them very fast. 10/10!
