We arrived in Tornio early to catch our flight to London later in the afternoon and decided to have breakfast here. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, what happened afterwards completely spoiled the experience. As we were leaving, a member of staff ran after us and shouted across the street that we hadn’t paid. When I explained that we had paid, she insisted that we hadn’t. She then questioned who we had paid, and fortunately my husband still had the receipt, which she rather abruptly asked to see. Once she checked the receipt, she admitted that we had paid and apologised. However, by then the damage had already been done. Being publicly accused of not paying was embarrassing and unnecessary. Mistakes happen, but this situation could have been handled much more professionally and discreetly. Sadly, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place.

First of all thanks for reception staff, both shift. All ladies helpful, warm, communicative and always there to help or give an advise. Hotel itself very well located in Tornio, with clean rooms and comfortable beds, had an own kitchenette in the room as well and a nice view towards the river. A bit pricy but worth it!
Our stay at Hotel Olof in Tornio, Finland, was truly special. From the moment we walked in, we felt the warm and welcoming atmosphere — friendly staff, stylish interior, and a perfect central location made our trip comfortable and easy. We enjoyed peaceful walks along the riverfront, delicious breakfasts with aromatic coffee and cozy evenings in the warmth of our room. Everything was thoughtfully arranged to make us feel at home. This vacation left only pleasant memories and a strong wish to come back again. Best regards from Norway🇳🇴
Excellent hotel...superb location and very warm and helpful staff. We requested vegetarian food and they helped us with it. The receptionist us with our bags and also with the rooms. Very nicely appointed rooms and well lit. For us Indians it is a place worth staying. For a small town in Finland the service we got was excellent.
Nearly a nice place to stay! First of all when checking in I was ignored by the person working there for several minutes before being acknowledged and checked in. Then she gave me the wrong information about what time breakfast finished at, she said 11 but it actually finished at 10. We arrived just after 10 and luckily the lady that was beginning to clear everything away allowed us to grab some food. If we'd been any later we would have missed it altogether. It was the second lady that made it a 3 star review for service rather than a 2. The first impression of the room is great, very nicely decorated, pretty big with a kitchen area too. After that things are not so good. First of all there was a half empty glass of water on the kitchen counter, one of the ones from the bathroom it turned out. The shelves in the fridge were dirty, the glasses in the cupboard were dirty, the cutlery wasn't clean. There was nothing provided to wash anything ourselves. The bed linen was stained (hopefully it was just stained and not dirty!) The bathroom door had two different colours of hair on it and white splatters, the shower was covered in water marks, there was makeup on the electric plug cover in the bathroom also. It's located next to a surprisingly busy road and was extremely loud with both traffic and people until quite late at night. Overall it was a very disappointing stay.
