Hotel which is on the older side but clean, has all the needed extras. Service is good. Stayed in a loft which was spacious with minimalistic interior. Ac worked. Free parking is limited. Breakfast buffet is generous and tasty. Location is excellent and good starting point for walks.

A big, comfortable room, a friendly reception, and a perfect breakfast. Free parking is also available.
It does the basic job that a hotel is expected to do, provides a room to stay in. The staff is very nice too. But the room was quite worn, the furniture - old, bedside lamp did not work and the mirror was chipped. The view I had was of a delapidated ruin (picture added). At least it seemed very clean and neat. But the overall impression was of a room that is liveable, but not much more. Which would be fine if it had cost a little less, whereas I paid nearly 100€ for one night, which seems a bit too steep for what I got. The breakfast was quite unimaginative and the selection was small. What is perhaps worse is that there was little sense and connection in what food was provided. It was really hard to think up of how to combine the foods to make something that tastes nice. Similar approach worked in other hotels I was in because the selection was at least twice, sometimes three times as large, so mixing and matching was very easy. Here, since there was way less variety, the chefs should put more thought into the compatability of what is served. The location, though, is very nice. Close to the train and bus station and just next to the main street, you can walk almost anywhere.
Unbelievable..I was just kindly requested to "change" my review by TripAdvisor.. I now understand why there are more good reviews than bad ones here.. So I'm removing some of the negative sounding words..The rest stays: No amenities to be used safely, beds have old very uncomfortable mattresses, it felt like sleeping on a wooden plank. There were spiderwebs in the bathroom, there were stains on the walls and doors :(. It was 35 degrees in our room, airco coughing up dust instead of clean cold air :( Breakfast was very, very bad (obviously days old, sweaty cheese and sausages, pancakes very super greasy, bread and pastry stale). I'm used to Eastern European/ Baltic kitchen..and this food had nothing to do with it. At dinner we had to wait one hour (!) just for the menu (people in the conference room had it..). After we finally got to order..we had to wait another hour for our drinks and food, which was not worth all this waiting. How can a hotel have just one person running two restaurants on her own?! And boy the lady was doing her best..she was very rude as well. I just heard the hotel is known for buying their stars and Lithuanians would never stay there. I saw similar complaints (old, dirty hotel, rude stuff, airco not working and lots of spiders in rooms) in reviews on different websites :( The location is the only good thing (30 min walk to the old city)
Great location in the centre of town. Close to plenty of bars and restaurants. The train station is walking distance, or a short bus ride and the airport is only 50 minutes on the bus. The only downside to my stay were some noisy guests, unfortunately two of them were in the room next to mine.
