It was excellent. Our guide was Kate and she was top notch! The hike was nit that difficult even though there was vertical change. We were fortunate that the trail was dry. Kate took her time with ys and filled us in on the llcal history and the varios plants along the way. The swimming was great and the waterfalls were spectacular.

All fun 😁..all informative, easy trail, fun at the waterfall, wish I could've found a guava to eat 😁...Mahalo Kate .keep it kool !!
Pretty easy hike and family friendly. Beautiful waterfalls and we all just loved the swim in the second waterfall along with the climb up and behind it. So much fun! Our guide, Kate, was awesome! She was very informative about all the native plants along the hike. She also made sure we all were safe when climbing the waterfall. We all enjoyed it very much.
Our guide, Kate, was so knowledgeable about the vegetation and how it came to be on the Kauai island. Kate was amazing on assisting us on getting down the switchbacks and using the ropes. Also helping us get up the 60 foot waterfall. She made our experience worth every penny. She is well worth every penny you pay her. I will definitely recommend this to all my family and friends.
Such a fun experience! It was a slippery hike, but the ropes and hiking sticks helped a lot. Swimming by the waterfall was the highlight for sure!
This hike was everything we could have asked for and more. Our guide Kate was the best. She was knowledgable about the plants and animals around us, and was just easy to talk to. It was a beautiful hike down, theres a rope to hold on to most of the way down for added support. The 2 waterfalls were beautiful and it was an amazing experience to get to walk behind one of the waterfalls and swim below it. We saw so many beautiful flowers and fresh fruit on the trails and we were able to try a few local customs. Thank you Kate for an unforgettable time.
The waterfalls were so fun. The hike was short and informative. Kate was great.
The only thing that really could have been improved was the directions to the meeting location. You turn down a dirt road that’s about a 1/4 mile and makes u feel like you’re in the wrong location. If the plants were cut back and the sign looked more official it would have been more reassuring. Out side of this the guide was fantastic and the experience was amazing!!
Our guide Kate was very friendly and full of knowledge of the island. The hike is not to strenuous. The waterfalls and the scenery are amazing
If visiting Kauai you must do this. Our guide was Rashid, he was excellent. We had difficulty with the instructions of the meeting place from Trip Advisor, the co-ordinates took us to the wrong place. We rang Rashid who was fabulous, talked us through how to get to him and waited for us - we were 15 minutes late. You definitely need water shoes which can be hired when you get there for $10 per person. It’s a short but steep walk 0.25 mile to the first waterfall but there is rope to hold on to and trees so it’s easy to do. You must absolutely use loads of insect repellant - because we were late we rushed and left the spray on the car - I got over 20 bites . Rashid was brilliant, told us facts about the plants and area and the showed us how to swim in the pools safely. There are no other groups there so only a handful of people so got lots of great photos. Can’t thank Rashid enough brilliant trip.
We had so much fun. Kate was so friendly and very helpful. She always made sure everyone was well informed and safe. The experience was great. We recommend this tour.
Da Life waterfall hike was great! We had lots of fun and our tour guide, Kate, was wonderful and shared her Kauai Island with us.
I am actually scared of heights, but the guides made me feel so safe and secure, and it was way easier to navigate than I thought it would be. I was able to really enjoy the experience knowing I was in capable hands. So beautiful! Would absolutely do this again.
Beautiful falls and fairly easy hike. Refreshingly cool water was invigorating and my happy place. Our tour guide was so nice and insightful. Perfect for a family outing.
This excursion was very cool. Our guide was awesome. The trails were great and the waterfalls were amazing
Was a great trip...beautiful water falls and great guide. Bring bug spray and shoes you don't mind getting dirty or rent their water shoes. Great swim in the falls.
The hike is downhill and a little slippery in spots, definitely take your time, it is well worth it when you get to the falls! The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining! Well worth the money!
An amazing experience that should not be missed. Kate our guide gave us all of the info on plant and animal life along the path to the falls. She then took pictures if anyone wanted. The falls were very refreshing to play under and walk behind. Overall a great experience.
Not to physically strenuous, and totally worth it. Make sure you rent the shoes, there is rocks so the regular water shoes hurt your feet.
Kate was amazing and patient. Even though we started off late, she took the time to explain everything and allow everyone to have a wonderful experience. Although the hike is short, it is slippery and muddy so wear good shoes. The water is refreshing and the falls are beautiful. We highly recommend this adventure. It was a bit challenging to find the location because of construction and it is off the beaten path. Know that the dirt road into the parking area is only 1 vehicle wide and can be bumpy in some spots.
The views are stunning, the water feels perfect, the hike is short and sweet but the elevation is steep so keep that in mind. Our instructor, Kate, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, patient, and safe! She took great care of our group making it a memorable excursion!
Your shoes will get muddy, but it’s worth it! Lots of interesting vegetation and the waterfall massage is amazing.
Rashad was great. Knowledgeable about the history. Went at a pace doable by all-Had fro a 6 year old to 74 year olds. Led many of the group behind the falls and to where to jump into swim hole.
Very fun experience. The waterfalls were lovely and completely private. Guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly! (Rashad) Would def recommend!! The road to the meeting place is a bit off the beaten path, but doable. Wear water shoes & be prepared to get kinda dirty & very wet. Perfect amount of adventure for us!
The overall experience was awesome. The hike was challenging for us who are not in shape but very doable. Strongly recommend this for a wonderful family experience and make memories!
It was a very easy hike. But the swimming was great and the waterfalls beautiful. We like harder hikes in general but it was worth it to see this private property and swim and climb the falls.
This was a very fun and beautiful experience. Our Guide Kristen was very nice and worked very hard to make sure no one slipped in the mud and that everyone got the most out of the experience. If you haven’t been up close to a waterfall in your life then this is a must!
Great hike, not too hard. Waterfalls are great, second waterfall is strong and a wonderful experience.
A great way to break up a relaxing day with a short hike to 2 pretty waterfalls. The hike was only 1/4 mile down and back but it was VERY slippery. You had to hold onto ropes down and back, which made it more fun, but beware if you are not in good physical condition. Also, do not wear your own shoes unless they’re easily washable. They get very dirty. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Glad we did it.
Not really as easy as but excellent experience!
This was a great experience. We wanted a hiking and waterfall tour which was shorter than the intense one to get to some other popular spots. We’re an active family but not hikers. Our 11, 13, and 16 year old kids did fine and had a great time swimming in the falls. It was pretty muddy. Be sure to wear grippy/water shoes. I wouldn’t recommend crocs. Our guide gave us some info about the plants but most of our time was focused on enjoying the hike and falls. It was the right mix of island info and nature for us.
Amazing hike! We had the best time! Gorgeous waterfalls! Pro tip…hike is a bit steep and the trail was muddy so be prepared for that. There are ropes to hang on to, but the mud was a little slick. This did not detract from the experience, but a person should be prepared for it. Also, water shoes are a must! Our guide was great!
We did the hike and falls swim, and it was the best tour we have done on Kauai! The hike was an easy quarter mile down to the waterfalls was through a beautiful rainforest. Our guide, Rashad, was amazing, with a very friendly personality, peaceful spirit, and incredible knowledge of the island plants! The best part was being able to swim right under the waterfalls, jump off rocks, and even walk behind the waterfall! Floating in the water in the middle of a rainforest looking up at the palm trees and lush plants was wonderful ! It was honestly way better than going to the “Secret Falls”, which are crowded with hundreds of people. Here we had only a handful of people, and it felt like the real Secret Falls!
Great hike with our tour guide Mitchell. Everything was amazing.
This was such a great experience. Getting to see two different waterfalls was amazing, but my absolute favorite part was the timing. A lot of these types of tours completely drain your day, but this one was just the right length. Fun, beautiful, and still left me with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of my afternoon!
Awesome time. Great easy hike for even people who dont hike or are out of shape. Beautiful. Guide was knowledgeable and funny and patient. Highly recommend. Look forward to doing the propelling version of hike.
This tour was outstanding! The value was fantastic and we would’ve paid more. Several things we liked was that it wasn’t a whole day, so we had time to do other things. It was about two hours. The guide was very kind and knowledgeable. He let us know about different movies that were filmed there as well as about plants and animals in the area. I didn’t expect the hike to be completely in the jungle with very narrow, slippery pass, however, without going that way, we couldn’t have the same experience. Bring great hiking shoes for the walk down and up, but also bring water shoes for when you go in the water because there’s rocks. Again, probably the highlight of our trip. We will 100% do this again when we return.
Awesome experience! My family and I have never been that close to a waterfall. Best activity my family and I have done on the beautiful island of Kauai. Tour guide was very good at explaining everything and had a great sense of humor.
This was an awesome experience that our family of 6 (3 teenagers, husband/wife, 76-yr old senior) did. We had two tour guides who helped us go through the hike through the 'jungle' to get to the waterfalls. The scenery obviously was amazing, and when you reach the waterfalls, it is breathtaking. Swimming in the falls was refreshing and everything you could imagine. A few tips - It is very muddy going through the jungle going up and down different terrain. Make sure you have water shoes with good grip or go barefoot. If you wear regular athletic footwear, it will get severely muddy so if you plan to use those shoes, expect it to get wet and dirty. Make sure you hold on to the rope going through the hike as it is very slippery. You can use a walking stick that they provide. We didn't use it but our 76-year old mother used it and she found it very helpful. I am not a hiker, and this was rated one of the easier and shorter hikes online. Its about a half a mile hike down to the waterfall through rocky, wet terrain which I was a little nervous going through, but I made it. I hiked all the way back up without stopping so its doable. Our 76 year old was able to keep up as well. Definitely book the trip and chase those waterfalls! Definitely worth it!
It's a fun experience! Light hike, good for any skill level, beautiful waterfalls, and a refreshing swim. The guides were very knowledgeable, professional and fun!
What a great excursion! The hike is not too strenuous and the waterfalls are just beautiful. My family and I had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this activity! It was a fun way to celebrate my 60th birthday!! One bit of advice: BRING (and use!) BUG SPRAY!!
It was a great experience. Waterfalls were beautiful. Make sure to wear mosquito repellent. Guide was exceptional.
Great for low to moderate activity level. Not a strenuous activity…Reviews and descriptions of other waterfall hikes scared me off. Had given up on the idea and ran across this one and it was perfect.
Went on this tour with my husband and sons (18 and 21), and everyone loved it. The waterfalls were gorgeous, and my sons really enjoyed swimming in them. It was a bonus that they were able to climb up and walk behind the large waterfall. This was a big highlight from our trip. Our guide, Rashad, was great - very entertaining as he taught us about the vegetation and Kauai history. The hike is short but steep - not too bad on the way down to the falls, but obviously harder going uphill on the way back. There were ropes to hold onto which was especially helpful on the big uphill steps (for those of us with shorter legs). Recommend decent shoes for the hike - our water shoes were okay for the hike and were a must for the falls because it was rocky and slimy walking in the water. Bug spray is also good idea as one of my sons got a lot of bites. The drive between the main road and the meeting location is one way with absolutely no shoulder which is a problem if someone from the previous tour is leaving. We were forced to reverse a very long way back to the main road because multiple cars were leaving when we were arriving 15 min before our start time. And then we had no idea if more cars were going to be coming. My recommendation to the tour operator would be to give more time between the tours to allow for everyone to clear out before the next group starts coming in.
Amazing experience. Highly recommend. Frolicking in waterfalls- can’t get better than this. Great guide.
Loved this - was a bit concerned as it rained but no issues and our guide, Raz was very informative and we enjoyed the stories and history about the area. Waterfalls were beautiful and loved having the area to ourselves. Worth every penny!
My husband and granddaughter were with me, it was challenging for him with two knee replacements! Slick hill, he wore his hiking boots , which was crucial for him! We wore water shoes with treads! Worked well! Loved the entire experience! Guides were great! Don’t let the short distance Hike make you think it was easy! Downhill to the falls, uphill back! Loved it!
Loved this tour! Fun and interesting. Bring bug spray and water safe phone case.
Great hike through the island woods to 2 lovely waterfalls. The 60ft(larger) water fall was very scenic and we got so great pictures of the family swimming in pool and standing behind the waterfall curtain.
Great experience - well worth it! Waterfalls were awesome. Definitely worth swimming in both waterfalls, water wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be. Our guide Kate was amazing, friendly and well informative.
