Coco Maria was super fun and friendly. She has an awesome vibe and sense of humor, which made our day even more fantastic. We saw lots of great sights and had a full day of exploring. She had a few hidden treats up her sleeve and we really appreciated her knowledge and planning ahead that she had done. Highly recommend them!

We did a private tour today on Kauai. We had a great guide, Shasta, that gave us a great, fun tour and had amazing knowledge of the area. We went to the Spouting Horn, Hanapepe Valley Lookout and the small town, stopped at a little bakery to try their donuts. Waimea Canyon State Park, (they call it the little Grand Canyon) Koke’s State Park but the cloud cover was unfortunately too much to see anything, and after lunch we drove through where Jurassic Park and the first Indiana Jones were filmed. Great day with amazing views. We were able to customize the trip and Shasta was very accommodating in what we wanted to see. We would highly recommend Kauai Soul Travel and Shasta.

Shasta is very sweet, kind and funny. She took us patiently to all the scheduled stops, identified important spots to take photos and took nice photographs. She gave very interesting insights and detailed stories about Hawaii and Kauai’s history, people, language and its culture. She engaged the kids very well and took us to interesting places for snacks and lunch. We had a wonderful tour of Spouting Horn, multiple stops in Waimea Canyon, Hanapepe Town and a local bakery. The weather was beautiful! We enjoyed the trip a lot! We highly recommend this tour.

This was an amazing tour with an amazing tour guide! The tour is run by a small family owned tour company, and they were so attentive and communicative. I highly recommend using Kauai Soul Travel to see the island, get recommendations for things to do around the island, and to learn about the beautiful island of Kauai. The weather wasn’t great for seeing the canyon, but adaptions were made to the schedule to get the most out of our time.

Traveling with 12 people was easy with Kauai Soul tour! Coco’s 7+ hour tour of Kauai was one of the highlights of our trip to the Islands! Her communications to our group setting up and paying for the tour was excellent! She picked us up promptly at the cruise terminal in her comfortable passenger van and led us on a journey around south and west Kauai which included Poipu, Kauai coffee, the amazing Waimea Canyon and Hanapepe. Coco was funny, engaging, and had many insights about the area and Hawaii history to share with us. We had a total blast with her! Highly recommend a tour with this incredible lady!

Shasta was wonderful—friendly and very knowledgeable about the island. We not only got to see a lot and learn a lot but just had a nice time. Well worth spending a day!

We snagged a shared tour because private was no longer available. Coco does not pack her vehicles to the max, she keeps her clients comfy! So we had no issues sharing the day with a multigenerational family. Coco is a beautiful storyteller and rich with knowledge of Kauai. Her positivity and wit were a nice addition to our day. From the Waimea Canyon to the swinging bridge, the tunnel of trees and beyond to little local spots, we had a lovely day! Worth every penny and more!

Wonderful tour, very flexible. Arranged a helicopter tour for the kids (24 and 28 yo) and took my wife and I to see a couple waterfalls on the east side while they were aloft. Made adjustments on the fly to accommodate what we were most interested in. Very informative, one of the few tour guides that never seemed to get the least bit annoyed at the constant stream of questions from my wife (haha). Would absolutely recommend.

I am so glad our family of 4 (2 adults, kids 15 & 17) booked this. First off, Shasta and Coco get an A+ for being accommodating. One of us got a severe sunburn, and we asked if we could re-schedule, and they very politely did. It was so pleasant to be picked up on time in a clean vehicle at our condo, and to leave the driving to Shasta, especially on the mountainous curving roads of Waimea Canyon. Yes, you could do this trip on your own, but then you’d have to concentrate on the road instead of the sights. You’d miss out on the back roads of Hanapepe, lose out on the best bakery in Hawaii, not know of the best place for an idyllic lunch past Waimea Canyon, and never follow Shasta on her secret mini hikes to the best lookouts and photo spots. You’d also miss having a dedicated person to take your family photos and entertain and educate you with Kauai trivia. They shared great ideas for us for our other days on the island, and they were perfect. Based on their recommendations , we returned to Waimea Canyon later for a hike to waterfalls and stunning views of the canyon. I decided we may only see Kauai once in our lives, and I wanted to make the most of it. Coco and Shasta definitely helped us do that. Book it and relax, knowing you are on great hands.

We had a great time with Shasta as our guide. She picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise pier in a roomy and spotless vehicle. First we stopped at The Spouting Horn and waited until we saw the water spout several times. Then we stopped on the way for a sweet pastry and coffee. Waimea Canyon was stunning from several viewpoints. Each time Shasta waited patiently until we were ready to move on. We had our choice for our lunch in Hanapepe, traversed the swinging bridge and even had time to shop. On the way back to the ship we stopped for delicious Hawaiian shaved ice! It was a day we will remember as one of the highlights of our trip to paradise! Shasta was friendly, personable and lots for fun! Thank you, Shasta!

We had a fabulous day last week with Shasta as our private tour guide. This was our first trip to Kauai (there were 4 adults in our group). She was so sweet and knowledgeable, and showed us things we would never have seen on our own. She knew the best spots to stop and view the canyon, and even found time for a stop at Kauai Coffee. AND she was a great driver - we felt very safe and comfortable in her minivan. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai and we would highly recommend it. We truly enjoyed getting to know her and spend the day with her.

What a wonderful day we had exploring the Waimea Canyon and southern tip of the island! We feel a tour is the best way to really get to know the area so that you can continue to explore on your own. This tour did not disappoint in any way! Starting with a tasty treat in Kapaa and seeing some incredible sights at the Waimea Canyon, it was a very full day rich with history & sight seeing. We loved the swinging bridge in Hanapepe & the Spouting Horn was spectacular! Shasta was our tour guide & she was exceptional! I would highly recommend her!

Coco and Willow were excellent guides for the day. I had messaged CoCo numerous times before our tour to narrow down what all we would like to see on our tour and she accommodated us greatly. She started our day with sweet treats and continued on to educate our minds and fill our soul with wonderful memories of a beautiful island. We did a small group tour from Kapaa round to Waimea Canyon with Coco from Kauai Soul Travel. Stops included Poipu Beach, Spouting Horn, and Hanapepe , home to the swinging bridge. I felt like I knew Coco so well already when she arrived to pick us up. In my quest to have everything precise we had been corresponding by email and WhatsApp since March. Luckily she is a patient calm person. We had to change dates and she refunded fast and rebooked us efficiently. The vehicle was clean, the air conditioning spot on and Coco provided cold water bottles. Her driving was safe which was comforting when we are used to driving on the other side of the road. The tour felt like travelling with a family member or friend. Lots of laughter, great legend telling and Coco was a wealth of historical and current local knowledge. She captured great photos of us and for us. She also gave us some ideas (not for her tours) for places to visit and restaurants to try, just because I asked. Would definitely recommend Kauai Soul Travel. We felt the tour we did was excellent value for money. If we are every lucky enough to visit Kauai again we would definitely take another tour to somewhere different with Kauai Soul Travel.

We had an amazing private tour as part of celebrating our honeymoon. Between each of the stops, we were able to learn about the rich history of the island and different aspects of the culture. We saw seals, natural water spouts, waterfalls, rivers, and incredible views over valleys. Our guide was extremely friendly and welcoming and certainly made the experience THAT much better. We'd recommend this to anyone looking to get some amazing views and learn about the history of the island.

A wonderful way to start our vacation in Kauai Shasta took us on the southwest side of island tour. We started at a local bakery. Drove to the highest point of the canyon for the most spectacular views!!! We had a delicious lunch on the beach. The spouting horn must have set records that day. We absolutely loved this tour and Shasta. I’m sure we will travel with her again one day.

You could drive around yourself, find parking, and learn on your own. OR..you could have a local take you around, know exactly where to go, and have the stories to share. Shasta was amazing as our guide around town. You mention anything that you would want to do on the island and she will have a recommendation for you later. We had a lot of rain, but our tour guide really helped make the most of it for us! We were able to see the most amazing waterfalls and many other scenery treasures that we never would have found without her, plus the history and legends about each location. Plus a stop for a hawaiian pastry, amazing super fresh and made to order sushi, sea turtles and monk seals! She even went the extra mile and gave us more suggestions of places to visit in other areas of the island we told her we would be going to. Thanks so much for the great day!

This was an excellent tour by a very professional and knowledgeable tour guide. Our tour was in fact a bit longer than 6 hours. We were off the Island Princess and Coco Maria met us at the ship and we were off to visit the Island. Because we wanted to make sure we were back aboard on time Maria changed the tour to accommodate that and still see all the important things. Waimea Canyon was excellent and the other spots she chose were very interesting. My wife is a retired tour guide from the Niagara area and rates Maria one of the best she has seen. There is no doubt in our minds if you want the Best of Kauai, Kauai Soul Travel and Coco Maria are the place to go.

Our guide was great. She gave us a very personalized tour of more than a half dozen scenic and cultural sites throughout the eastern half of the island of Kauai. They included everything from watherfalls and beaches to ancient birthing stones and fascinating legends -- and then topped it off wih the option of a swim in the warm waters of a picture-perfect sandy cove or doing a little shopping or eating in a fun spot just accross the road from the beach. Along the way, she introduced us to local craftsman and vendors who were her personal friends. All in all, it was a perfect way for us to be introduced to Kauai. The tour is advertised as a "small group tour," and it is really given by the owner of a small tour company who has been giving tours of the isand for more than 10 years. We could not have been more pleased with the tour and our guide, and we highly recomend both.
