Day tour was awesome! Lots of scenic stops and plenty of good commentary. John and Scott were amazing!
We started early a little mix up on where to meet, however the day went smoothly. Got to see an island that is not always visible. It was a fun day.
Rosario was our driver. He provided so much information about the island and also all of our stops. He always allowed enough time for everyone to enjoy their experience at stops. Cannot say enough about the Waimea lookout areas. Views were breathtaking. Would highly recommend.
Our guide, John, and our driver really made this trip special for us. We were able to ask any questions and they were very good about responding. The places were visited allowed for an unrushed experience. I will not soon forget what we were able to see.
The tour was great! John was an excellent guide. He even took some of us off-trail to view the canyon from a cliff. Very pleasurable experience!
Had a great time, hit some of the best locations, learned a lot, our guide made it fun experience and didn’t have to drive! Good food and stops to shop at. John and Moana were wonderful, thank you!!
John was great-helpful. John went beyond to make sure all was well with the entire bus.
Our tour guide, John, was very knowledgeable about the island and was able to make some changes to the itinerary due to the weather to ensure we had the best expense. Moana was a great driver we felt secure the entire time.
Wealth of information and positive happy environment
We drive around Kauai and take a look at many good places to see such as Waimea canyons, Hanapepe town and so on. I recommend this tour for the first time visitors to Kauai!
Very knowledgeable great views
Excellent tour and top notch tour guide/bus driver. Tour guide was a native women with excellent knowledge of route and historical and cultural information about Kauai.
This was a wonderful tour in a comfortable bus with numerous stops. We had plenty of time to see all of the areas and the tour guide was a local. Lunch was also excellent even though the place was busy
I had such a wonderful experience on this tour! We managed to see a significant portion of the island and the canyons in a way that felt both efficient and thoroughly enjoyable. We were lucky to be part of a small group of only four people, which made the timing seamless. A huge thank you to our guide, John, and our driver, Moana, for going ahead with the tour—I truly appreciate that they didn't cancel on us. Additionally, the lunch stop was a highlight; it was easily one of the best meals I had during my entire trip. Thank you, John and Moana, for such an amazing day!
Our family had a great experience, thanks to John & Ken our tour guides they were amazing! Highly recommend
Our tour guide, sabrina, made this a very fun trip. She was funny, friendly, and helped everyone in the group be friends. I was a female solo traveler, so I really enjoyed the camaraderie of the group and made friends easily. The stops were interesting and fun. I am glad I let somebody else drive me up the canyon, because it was pretty windy. The experience was pretty expensive for what you get, but being alone it was worth paying for it.
My husband and I had a wonderful tour with Jonna. She was very informative, learned a lot and enjoyed the day. You can tell that she loves what she does.
Small group. Knowledgeable driver/guide Jonna. Native and very nice. Day was long but sights were beautiful! Glad I wasn’t driving Canyon Road.
This trip was not ran as the itinerary showed. We drove past Poipu to start with. Our driver John could barely be understood. We took longer than should have at stops and strange commentary. Then coming down from Keo’ke Lodge he weaved around coming down the mountain across the center line and then ran off the road scaring us to death. After an unexplained stop at the bottom in Waimea for 30 minutes we choose to Uber back to our hotel. The first tour in my life I did not feel safe! It needs to be checked out!
I am not sure where to begin. First of all our driver gave us little to no info on each of our stops, I am not sure he had the knowledge to tell us any information, he did talk about where he lived and grew up. Here is the worst part, as we were driving back down the mountain we ran off the road and we are lucky that the bus did not flip, his reason was he saw a rainbow there last week! REALLY who does he think he was kidding, maybe he fell asleep at the wheel. After we finally made it back towards town and we’re waiting for the stop light to turn green, once it turned green he did not go, one of the passengers had to scream at him as she said, wake up! I am sure our bad experience was due to our driver. My trip was ruined and I would ask the company to look into this driver so that no one will ever have to experience what I experienced today.
Wonderful scenery and relaxing ride. The views were amazing. Sally did a wonderful job narrating on the trip. Lunch at Koke Lodge was spectacular. The smashed potatoes were unbelievable.
The entire tour was excellent. Waimea canyon was magnificent. John was amusing and friendly. The bus was very comfertable as well.
Polynesian Adventure is my go to for land tours on Hawaii since my first visit in 2024. This tour was just as great with our tour guide John, who was incredibly helpful with tips on things to do while here along with the island's history. I have another tour scheduled later this week and expect no less in excellence from this company.
It was a nice tour, learned a lot and saw a lot
John was our driver and he was great. Seen some great things
Met expectations. Felt safe with driver/ tour guide. Guide was very informative and offered to take pics.
The excursion was a great activity. The knowledge gained helped us to get a better understanding about the layout of the island. We were able to use the information to determine the best way to spend the other days on the island. The person leading the activity was very knowledgeable and made sure we all had a good time.
Met all expectations. Safe driver!
Our tour guide Sabrina was great and very knowlegeable. However, the tour is too long. It was a 10 hour day which is what the itinerary says. The problem is the amount of time spent at each location. You don't need 30 - 40 minutes at a location. Not all the stops were like this but a lot we just need 10 minutes or less to see the view and take pictures. The lunch stop was the perfect amount of time.
Guide and driver was very professional and made you feel welcome. She provided very useful information and helpful ideas. She altered the tour timing to ensure that we saw the canyon while it was sunny even though lunch was delayed which was not a problem.
The entire tour was excellent. All the stops and things we saw were as I had hoped. Waimea Canyon was magnificent even as the clouds were beginning to come in. The itinerary in the brochure was as described. John was a delight and so amusing and friendly.
See much of the points of interest without the need for a parking space. Just look at the scenery while Sabrina takes on the traffic for you. She also gives you the instructed tour, but as a local goes far beyond the headlines giving you great info that only a local would have. Comfortable ride, plenty of bathroom areas to take advantage of, and never a hurry up. We had a very mixed group, from mobility issues to newly weds and together we had a blast. Also should mention we nearly covered all 4 corners of the earth with our group. Lots of fun, and education too.
John was excellent host for our tour. We learned so much history. He has great knowledge and funny entertainer.
John was so great! What a fun, beautiful and entertaining experience!
John was terrific, very knowledgeable , good sense of humor and took good care of us.
We had an amazing experience on the Kauai Waimea Canyon and Kōke‘e Tour, and a huge part of that was our guide, Sabrina. She was incredibly attentive, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what she does. You could immediately tell how knowledgeable she is — not only about Hawaiian history, but also about the island’s unique fauna and flora. She gave such an interesting and thoughtful overview throughout the tour that made every stop even more meaningful. What really stood out was how much she cared about everyone having a great experience. She was warm, personable, and always attentive to the group’s needs and questions. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and it’s easy to see why people enjoy these tours so much with guides like her. Sabrina truly made the day memorable. Highly recommend this tour!
This tour was excellent. We got to see everything we hoped to see and more. This was a small group tour and felt very personalized. The canyon is amazing and we got to see waterfalls. We pulled off into less crowded overlooks to see different vantage points of the canyon. John was awesome and very helpful with my mother who has some mobility issues. I would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to explore the island of Kauai.
It was a lot of fun. John knew a LOT so he could tell us about the landmarks and flora throughout the bus ride. He was also very accommodating of our individual needs. I highly recommend if you are interested in seeing the canyon and learning about the history of Kauai.
Wonderful. Beautiful. Driver so nice and accommodating. Really enjoyed the day with John
John was great. The trip was fantastic
Tour seemed stretched out. Too many stops, some unnecessary. Tour guide veered off subject, didn’t deliver much relevant content.
Friendly, knowledgeable, made sure we got to see good views
It was nice :-) The Tourguide was very funny.
John Is a very fun and prepared guide. Thank you.
John was awesome, entertaining, knowledgeable, and was a great time!
John was an excellent tour guide who made sure we didn’t miss any great photo spots throughout the trip. He was friendly, attentive, and kept the whole tour fun and enjoyable. The atmosphere on the bus was always cheerful and lively, which made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommended!
Joan was very entertaining and takes great care of us! Took us to the good spots to get pictures! He also helps without asking. Learnt a great deal about Kauai. Love the Waimea Canyon!!
John was a great tour guide and we saw many beautiful views
