Kauai: Na Pali Coast Power Catamaran

Shawna and Jane were professional, fun, knowledgeable, and truly made our morning on 11/3/2026 memorable. The boat was full but there wads still plenty of space. They had chill music vibes three duration of the trip. We went with a 10, 12, 17, 27, 43, and 46 year old and equally enjoyed the 4 1/2 hours on the boat.

Very nice experience. Everything was exciting and me and my wife enjoyed every moment of this trip .

Jane and Raquel were so knowledgeable and made the ride so fun and relaxed! They made us feel safe, taken care of, and were willing to answer any questions we had. We had a blast and loved having Jane and Raquel as our guides! Would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing boat adventure along the Na Pali coast! The views were amazing, and the crew could not have been better. The size of the boat was perfect - not so small that the waves tossed us around but small enough that the crew all knew us and made our trip special and memorable. We did the 7am tour and spent a good deal of time watching the dolphins swimming in front and alongside our boat. Exploring sea caves, getting wet under a waterfall and seeing all the beautiful scenery were other highlights. Great for couples, families, friends or solo travelers. Our tour was about 4.5 hours long. 10/10 recommend!

Excellent trip, captain Jake and first mate RJ were great

The team of Liz, Jake & RJ was as good asone would hope. Liz was very personable at the parking/pier area for welcome and check in. Jake, as captain, was as serious and knowledgable as he needed to be. RJ was a fun loving, funny including self-deprecating at times, 2nd hand on the boat who was fully capable with his duties all around the boat and in the water.

Chaz and Dominique have been a super team, the trip was very well organized, good explanations during the tour and we all had a lot of fun.

Everything about this trip was amazing. The staff was great. The boat was great. I would do this all over again.

I thought this wouldn’t be as good as the helicopter but I was wrong. You get a completely wonderful perspective and are just captivated the whole time. Our all female crew took the best care of us and skillfully got us up close and personal with the coastline and into the caves. Wonderful experience and I would not hesitate doing it again with them!

Amazing tour of the Na Pali coast! Captain Jake and guide/captain RJ were fantastic. It is worth some extra driving time to depart from the “small boat harbor”. The departure point is easy to find and you get on the water straight after check in. The coastline is magnificent approaching from the sea; a must see in Kauai. Captain Jake backs into several caves - you get the full experience from inside. Dolphins were “sleeping” during the morning - so we observed a pod of approximately 200 around our boat. The swim/snorkel site is mostly protected so swimming is not too challenging. Fresh pineapple is a refreshing snack during the swim time. This company/crew puts their effort into making your trip memorable. The size, speed, and comfort of their boat offers a great combination of access with a smaller/intimate group. The crew is very knowledgeable; just beware of some corny jokes! Overall, if you only have one chance to see the coast, choose Na Pali Experience. You won’t regret it.

The trip was so much fun, Captain Jake and RJ were great hosts aboard this catamaran. We were given drinks, fruit, granola bars and chips. We took the early morning trip and it was well worth getting up early for. I highly recommend this tour.

Chellen and Casey gave us the most amazing experience! Great music, fantastic stories, and an unbelievably good time. There are other bigger-named operations on the island but Na Pali Experience is where you want to be. Casey knew us all by name, had some laughs and took the time to get to know us. We felt we were a little old (and out of shape) for the zodiac-type rides but their fast catamaran offered the perfect experience. We still got to be in the caves and had a pretty smooth but fun ride. Mahalo Na Pali Experience!!

Based on prior reviews we had high expectations and they were happily met and even exceeded. The crew were not only friendly and approachable but also masters of the sea and caves (shout out Cellen and Casey) with some of the best boat driving we have ever been a part of. The dolphin viewing, cave explorations, and swimming were a few highlights beyond the coastal views (7 AM trip). NB: for those who get sea sick easily, you may consider a more relaxed boat trip option.

We had an amazing experience with Na Pali Experience on our Na Pali Coast boat tour! The entire crew was incredibly attentive to every detail, professional, and very experienced. Our captain, Chellen, and his partner, Kasey, were absolutely wonderful and made the experience even more special. We got to swim, see breathtaking views of the coast, spend +4.5 hours in the ocean and even go inside the beautiful sea caves. Chellen did an excellent job navigating the ocean, especially since the conditions were not the best. Thanks to his experience and skills, we were still able to enjoy everything the tour had to offer. The whole experience was unforgettable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team. I would absolutely recommend Na Pali Experience to anyone visiting Kauai! We will definitely be coming back, and when we do, we plan to book another boat tour with this company. STUNNING! Best excursion ever! Trip of a lifetime as Jay and Chellen were amazing! Very personable, professional, funny and super informative. Fresh pineapple tasted like no other pineapple I'd ever had! Swam in the ocean and we saw TONS of dolphins! A nursing pod swam with our boat for about 45 minutes~absolutely unreal! One of the most memorable experiences in my life!

Jay and Chelli were wonderful. The coast was so beautiful and we were able to swim and have a wonderful break with fresh pineapple!

Ample room to move on the vessel. Traveled along much of the coastline. The covering on the vessel helped block the sun. The padding and the seats were excellent. Chips, granola bars and various soft drinks were provided. As well as delicious pineapple. Take your seasick meds as the boats are fast. Well worth the experience and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Such an incredible trip - Kiley was an excellent boat captain and Casey was incredibly helpful and kind in the way that he served and looked out for us (sorry if I butchered spelling your names, guys!). Both were excellent guides to the sights of the Na Pali coast, 10 out of 10 would recommend this crew and this tour, such an excellent time - especially getting to see so many dolphins along the way, that was pretty dang cool.

This boat leaves out of the small boat harbor which meant we got to the Na Pali coast faster and then had time to snorkel after the tour. We had Colleen and Capt D (sorry totally forgot his name)- they were an awesome pair- fun, funny, and amazing with that boat. We went into caves right along the rocks- amazed at the captain’s skills- the coast is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen and only way to see is by air or by sea. You will be thankful you decided to go- well worth it. Plus this particular boat provides lots of seating, plus a partially covered section to stay out of sun if you desire and space up front to watch all the action. It was the best setup we found. Some of the boats were huge and other very small with just room on the side to sit. We were very happy with the choice of The NA PALI Experince and would choose them again! Oh - and you will get wet so be prepared- they provide dry bags for your stuff as well. Thank you!!

What a gorgeous adventure. If you are looking for a magical, scenic, and exciting tour led by personable and experienced guides, look no further. Captain Jane and Raquel provided us with a view of hundreds of dolphins, one-of-a-kind views of sea caves and the delightful history of the Na Pali coast. All the while we felt safe in their hands even as we rode some incredible waves! Highly recommend the earliest tour possible- 7AM. Worth it!!

Wonderful tour. Highly recommended. The captain (Jacky) and her assistant were very knowledgeable and attentive to any need of the passengers. They obviously love their job and want to share their love for this wonderful and unique corner of the world. Jackie maneuvered the boat as if it were a scooter, so we could enter caves, go behind a waterfall, and have close-up views of the cliffs. Besides the breath-taking scenery, with waterfalls and all, we were able to see at very close distance three pods of playful spinner dolphins. Unforgettable!

Was an amazing experience great Captain and deck hand with lots of knowledge to share that was insightful and fun to learn. Going in the caves was unbelievable and phenomenal experience. It was a great adventure for families or friends.

Great experience with really good guides

We had the BEST EXPERIENCE on this magical fun filled tour ! Jay was an incredible experienced and knowledgeable guide and so very funny. Chellen was a wiz at maneuvering the catamaran in the waves, along the shore and into the caves ! We were blown away by this experience and highly recommend them to any and all to see the Na Pali coast

Brian was phenomenal and Jane was so knowledgeable about the island and we learned so much about the na pali coast! We saw spinner dolphins and had such a great time.

The guide and captain were both so great, taught us a lot about history of the island and people. The views of the Na Pali coast are just incredible. We saw dolphins twice and the captain was quick to instruct us up front so we could all see. The dolphins were so close and the smaller babies began doing trick jumps and showing off. Amazing trip, highly recommend

Chas and Dominic were outstanding. We loved every minute of the trip. The history lesson was fabulous.

This tour was so fun and informative. Captain Jane and First mate RJ are amazing! It is was just a bit pricey at $250, but was worth it for the experience, snacks, and swimming. We saw dolphins, a sea turtle, waterfalls, and even went into some caves. There are only about 18 people on the tours so plenty of room to move around and switch up seats. Would definitely book again.

We had a wonderful day on the ocean, seeing the Na Pali Coast. Started on the South side, then turned around on the North side after seeing all the sites. Cap'n Chellen was Chillin' with great tunes and smooth sailing. Kasey and Bret were readily available and ever watching, mindful of our movements. Safety first. All 3 crew made light conversation and took our iphone photos of ourselves. I liked the way we were told what to expect at the next stop. Had time to get to jump in the ocean twice, with a nice fresh water shower hose to rinse off. The boat was perfect. It was big, sturdy, fast, and offered shaded seats. I felt very safe the whole excursion. My husband joked the boat had a NASCAR roll cage. All aluminum. A well-kept boat, brand new in appearance. The Na Pali Experience. Money well=spent. Right up there with seeing Antelope Canyon and Machu Picchu on the 'list'.

Captain Jake and RJ were incredible! They were extremely knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions we had. They were also super easy to talk to and made the entire trip special. My wife and I had planned to hike the coast but since it’s closed, this was our next best bet. So glad we decided to book. Would recommend 10/10!

After our sunset catamaran trip was canceled we scrambled to book another boat for the Napali Coast. Napali Experience far exceeded our expectations!!! Our Captain Chellen and First Mate Kasey were awesome! Super attentive to everyone and made the trip SO much fun! If you are looking to get into the caves, listen to great music and learn about the Hawaiian culture book this excursion!

The captain and 2 tour guides were amazing, attentive, and so knowledgeable about the area. They helped us with rec’s of things open due to the recent hurricane. It was such an amazing experience.

We had an amazing time with Na Pali Experience! Seeing the Nā Pali Coast from the water was unforgettable. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. If you’re considering a boat tour of the coast, I highly recommend Na Pali Experience. We’d happily do it again!

Very professional, they made it a point to stress safety. Purposely sought out spinner dolphins and allowed us to enjoy them twice on same tour. Also saw bottle noses dolphins. We always felt safe with Captain Mano and Corbin. Water was a little rough but Captain Mano took us safely through the caves in Nepali coast. Great tour!!

Would give this a 10/10 if I could. From the begging to end it was AMAZING! Casey and Chellan were our amazing crew and they made the experience even more wonderful. Clean boat, great snacks. Saw amazing caves and dolphins. Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing time on the 8:00 AM boat tour! It was incredible to see dolphins up close and the views along the coast were absolutely beautiful. Captain Jake and RJ were fantastic. They made sure we got to see some of the most beautiful spots and had a great opportunity to swim. They were both very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. They shared lots of interesting information about the island throughout the trip. We had such a great experience and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauai!

Great trip! Corbin and Erica made wonderful for everyone

This was the highlight of our trip to Kauai! We had the most amazing experience on this tour. The boat was a perfect size and had the perfect amount of people to take in all the sights. The mountains, valley's, wildlife and scenery is completely breathtaking! This would not have been the same if it was not for our amazing staff! Captain Jane and Captain Corbin are truly incredible! They made the tour extremely enjoyable. They did an amazing job explaining all of the sights and teaching us the history of the Na Pali coast. Captain Jane is an amazing driver, pulling and backing into caves to make sure everyone on the boat got amazing views and an unbelievable experience. They made us feel safe and accommodated to all of our needs. You have to use Na Pali Experience if you want to tour the Na Pali coast. An absolute must if you are in Kauai! Thank you to Captain Jane and Captain Corbin for making this a truly great memory we will never forget!

Our boat crew was Corbin and Manu, they were amazing! We would definitely do this again and would remind other folks to put sunscreen on again after you get out of the water if you have nice enough water to snorkel. No complaints at all about this, well communicated, well executed, well done!

We had the most magical morning on the tour. It was everything I had hoped it would be. Unbelievably stunning, we saw dolphins and turtles. Jay and Jane were absolutely superb, so friendly, so knowledgable - we couldn’t have asked for better! Jane’s boat driving skills were so impressive and Jay was kind, fun and made sure we were super looked after! Thank you so so much for a day we will always remember!

What an amazing experience! The boat is spacious and not crowded as the regular zodiac rafts. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They were also very nice to offer us an earlier tour since our original one had to be canceled because of hurricane Lowell. I highly recommend this tour. You get to see the beautiful Na Pali coast and snorkel in the Pacific Ocean!

It was a fantastic and eventful excursion. We took the 8 a.m. tour. The meeting point was easy to find, and the guide was already waiting for us. There were 12 other guests on board with us. We saw dolphins right at the start of the trip. The captain put a lot of effort into finding them, and it was simply breathtaking. Seeing the animals in action—swimming alongside the boat, jumping, and leaping—was a truly unique experience. Seeing Kauai’s natural beauty from the water is phenomenal—the mountains, the coastlines, the beaches, and the blue water. We visited several caves, and we even went inside one. It was incredible! We also had the opportunity to go snorkeling. Unfortunately, we didn't see that many fish, and the turtle only appeared once everyone was already back on board. Still, it was great to swim in the sea there. I can highly recommend the tour. You are well looked after, and it’s fun being on board. The price is relatively high, admittedly, but you really are out and about for 4–5 hours. The captain and her colleague (Brian) were very friendly.

We had a fabulous tour with Jackson and Colleen, both exceptional nice and experienced guides! Very good explanation on what is to be seen as well as historical background to the Valleys and trails along the Na Pali Coast line. Trip was very good: little wind, little waves and therefore we got lucky and saw a huge pod of spinner dolphins and with snorkeling several fairly large turtles as well. Booked this because we couldn't book the helicopter flight and it turned out that this tour here was the far better deal and experience! We enjoyed every minute!

Unbelievable experience. Captain Ian and first mate Rocky were awesome. Their deep knowledge and insight made the trip even more worth it. The views are stunning. You will get slightly wet from spray but it’s nothing to worry about. The dolphins were a plenty and the snorkeling was great. But the main star of the show was the NaPali Coast. Highly recommend. We had done the helicopter tour last time and I feel the boat trip was way better.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing trip with captains Jake and RJ. They were extremely friendly and informative with such amazing information on the history of the island’s. I think the price was a little high considering we still had to tip them (which they deserved) but that is another fee on top of the 600 dollar fee to go on the ride. I will say it was a slightly long trip but worth the time for sure. Especially because of the views we got to see and the snorkeling we were lucky to be able to do with the weather we had. The seating was very comfortable with the amount of people on our trip of about 16 people with plenty of space. For me the best thing was the views obviously and learning such a rich history behind all the Na Pali coast as well. I recommend doing this trip at least once but be prepared for a hearty price tag.
