This was the best Polynesian show I have seen (4 others). We had front row seats… Being close is helpful.

Definitely upgrade to dinner at the Manor House. Lelo and staff were amazing. Show was outstanding and seating incredible. Getting the enacted history was special.
We bought the luau plus the manor house four course dinner. Exceeded my expectations. From the first step in to the re restaurant we were greeted. The customer service was excellent and the food was very good. We didn't feel rushed. It was well organized and the atmosphere was great. We were walked over to the luau and directed to our seats and had about 15 to 20 minutes until the show started. It was a a story themed luau and it was really good. I'll be doing this experience again if I go back to the island.
Pay for VIP, it's absolutely worth it! The views, seating, food was all so amazing. Performance was perfect
The meal at the Gaylord was worth the extra expense. We felt very special! The show was amazing with great performers.
Restaurant staff was friendly Clean and well cared for. Beautiful grounds and gardens Performance and performance were amazing!!
First, I was not aware that I selected VIP event. From the check-in (twice) to the 4 course meal and the play. My family enjoyed this beautiful evening. Dava was our hostess and server, she was knowledgeable funny and awesome. Overall, the Voye family had a great and wonderful time.
I visited 2019. I enjoyed the entire show I just re lived here in 2026. Lasting impression.
The dinner and show were both amazing. Wonderful dinner at Gaylord's followed by the show. The fire dancers were beyond anything we expected. We loved the way the dancers interacted with the children in the audience.
The front table seating at the luau, orchid lei welcome and escort to the performance was a nice touch! The luau show was great. Food at dinner was ok, nothing exceptional but our service at dinner was very good.
This is the second Luau we,'ve seen on Kauai this week, and it was the absolute best we've ever been to. The show is much closer to the audience, and the actors interact more with the guests. If you can, buy the upgrade ticket that includes the plantation mansion dinner, instead of the buffet. Much better food and service, and it includes VIP reserved seating in the first row of the theater. Well worth it !
Luau Kalamaku with Manor House 4-Course Dinner and Show. We had transportation from our resort to the Luau Kalamaku. The 4-course meal at the manor house was excellent. We had an opportunity to browse the shops before the show. We were escorted to our reserved front row seat for the luau. The show was fabulous!
We paid up for the 4-course dinner experience. The only reason to do so would be to secure front row seats at the show. Gaylord's has an opportunity to make the dinner experience something unique but have yet to do so. The restaurant service was good but the food was average.
A quiet and intimate dinner followed by a fantastic show. Great service. Talented performers and an opportunity to learn about the Hawaiian culture and history
The preshow dinner at the manor house was fabulous, it’s such a neat restaurant and beautiful property. We didn’t have to fight the crowds for seating because our package came with front row assigned seats. The show was great and done indoors so the rains didn’t get in the way of a great evening.
The show was very good, have seen multiple before. If you've done other luaus highly suggest the dinner package including the Gaylord restaurant pre- show. Great food
Fabulous! Started with a plated meal - everything was excellent. Then the show was tremendous with lively and entertaining performers. We also had added transportation. Our driver was very friendly and comical, providing for an enjoyable experience. Mahalo!
The show and overall experience is an10/10. The food is really quite bad. They have pork, teriyaki chicken and fish. Really tough meat- I recommend the fish, We put a bit of everything on our plates and the only thing we could all eat was the fish and the desserts!
The food was very good but the service and the luau show were outstanding. We chose the manor house dinner package and were delighted
Way too expensive for a dinner and show. Not good value for money for quality of food and drinks. :-(
Short , boring , not particularly authentic . Another tourist trap . OK if you’re desperate for a luau . Choreography was average for a high school level production. Staff was polite and accommodating. Very pricey for what is received. Cannot recommend.
We have been to Luau Kalamaku several times. I think the thing that sets the show apart from other luaus is that it actually tells a story. Seating is very comfortable at the table at which you also have dinner. The show features, strong voices and excellent dancing. Of course there are also fire dancers. Dinner is very good with many choices, and while the crowds are always large, they go table by table and it is very well organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this luau.
This was our first time at a luau and our family loved it! The private dinner before the show was very good, plantation house is so beautiful. The luau was done very well, performers were so talented and you could tell they take so much pride. This is a must do when coming to Kauai!
Dinner was excellent and up front seating for show was worth the price. Staff and service were outstanding
We booked the top package. It was a good experience for the most part. The bus driver that picks you up from the hotel was a bit obnoxious. The communication from the restaurant staff and the luau could have been better. Overall a great and entertaining show.
Loved the upgraded dinning room and show seating. The experience was well worth it. The food was very good and the service was fast and excellent. The hosts were all pleasant and thoughtful. They were more than happy to answer questions and provide help. The show was excellent. It provided great authentic insight into the culture and history of Hawaii. I would do this again and recommend it to others.
I have done several luaus on different islands in HI and this one was the best. Dinner was excellent. If you can get seats next to the stage.
Manor house experience and luau was excellent. Great meal on the Plantation House patio before the luau. Best seats in the house for the luau. Luau was excellent and interesting
The manor experience was very nice. Lovely champagne & 4 course dinner in the garden and they took care of gluten free options for members of our group for all 4 courses. A photographer came and leis were given and then we were led to reserved seating for the show. We were able to taste the buffet options (ie: poi) and partake the bar options. The show was fun, and the dancers performed beautifully!
The food and service was top notch, like amazing all 4 courses were absolutely delicious and well presented. Our server was knowledgeable and polite. The show afterwards was the best Luau I've ever seen. Excellent storyline to follow, beautiful dancers, and music. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting a top of the line Luau experience.
The luau was unable to accommodate my wife's food allergy so we planned to eat at Gaylord's in the manor house. Unfortunately, it was a prix fix menu that we did not know about until we arrived at the restaurant. We previously have eaten at Gaylord's without any issues. The prix fix menus only had items for the main course that she could not eat. I would recommend that anyone with food allergies contact management ahead of time. The show was enjoyable and entertaining.
I highly recommend this luau! We paid for the upgrade to have dinner in the plantation house and reserved seats in front of the stage. It was well worth the extra cost. The food was delicious. The cast is so talented and they presented a beautiful story of the history of the Hawaiian people. We had the perfect seats and were able to see everything so well.
It was a great experience for sure. Best way to do it!! Great dinner and a wonderful close up to the show!!
Our first luau and we enjoyed it. Had silver package so we had a great view of the stage and a table for the 2 of us. Seemed well organized. The dinner buffet had a good selection clearly marked as gluten free or vegetarian. The desserts had no gf selections marked. I wish they would have had 1 gluten free option. The show was great! A nice evening out.
The people who run this event are amazing. They really made us feel special every step if the way. I highly recommend this experience.
Excellent food & show ! Best thing we have done so far. Worth every penny we spent. Upgrade your eating at The Plantation!
The VIP experience with dinner at the mansion was amazing and worth every penny! The show was awesome!
Outstanding talent! We had the mana house experience. Very good food & loved it front seats. Incredible dancers
Wonderful experience. We purchased the manor dinner option for the show and it was awesome. Meal was amazing and the customer service top notch.
We selected the premier package that included transportation, dinner at the mansion and reserved seats with no lines for the show. It was a great experience with no hiccups and we received what we paid for. The communication for pick up was great, it was a small bus that filled up, but the seats were comfortable. If I did it again, we might drive instead just for control of arrival and departure but I was happy with the service. One complaint or suggestion I might make to the event organizers is to tell us where to go when we got off the bus. There were hundreds of people in queue, but that was for general admission. I did search out and ask a staff person, and they escorted us to the mansion. This was stressful and I think this could have been handled better The mansion was beautiful and the food and service was great. Maybe a few other food choices we be good, but they did have two choices for the entree. We didn’t feel rushed and the Lei’s they gave us were fresh and beautiful. Great time for family pictures! If I had a suggestion for the mansion, it would be to keep the shops open later. The whole upstairs was closed and downstairs only had two shops. Prices were reasonable We were escorted to the show by torches. It set the mood. When we arrived, we were escorted directly to our table. Pay the extra. We were front row and comfortable. One of the dancers pulled my teen daughter up to dance and that made it more engaging. I really don’t have suggestions for the show or venue to make it better. It really was great. Again, the reserved seating is definitely worth it. There had to be 500 people or more. The premium seating is worth every penny. Ride back was uneventful and we all thought it was an incredible time
VIP Plantation experience. Reserved front row setting after a fabulous private dinner at the mansion. Ana was an attentive waitress and my water glass never ran dry. The show was amazing! The dancers had multiple costume changes and the story line was easy to follow! The fire dancers were impressive. Worth every penny. Even impressed my 20 year old kids.
The environment was warm and welcoming, and the performance depicted the story beautifully. I loved the dragons!
We did the Manor House dinner and Luau. Well worth the money. Show was fantastic and having front row seats was special. Our dinner was very good and we were given a glass of champagne. Had the tiki walk to the show and felt very special. This is definitely one of the best Luau.
Such a delicious 4 course meal and very enjoyable show!! I would definitely recommend! The dinner and Luau!
We paid for the sit down dinner and flame bearer escort to the event, which was a wonderful experience. The luau had top notch performers who delivered an amazing show that was entertaining from beginning to end
This was one first experience. It was wonderful! Dinner at the Manor House was delicious and the show was spectacular
Nice dinner and great seats. The show was awesome and the story was fun to follow. The costumes and music were done very well.
Dinner and experience were excellent. Experience started with a four course dinner instead of the buffet. This intimate setting was far superior than having to wait in long lines for the food. Food and wait staff were great and food plentiful. They then walked us to the luau pavilion where we had reserved front row seats. This was my first luau and the show did not disappoint!! Would highly recommend!
Enjoyed the luau and food was good. I felt mislead by what I paid for my ticket. I paid the premium price thinking I would be in front row of stage but I was put in the back and not happy with the seat. I would not pay the premium price again.
Never really knew what to expect, but we had such a great time watching the story unfold. They were wonderful at what they do
