Groups are small so you can connect with the guide and other passengers. She went the extra mile to get other excursion information. Helped find the little known white (Sugarloaf) pineapple. A must try if you've never had it before.

Itinerary
Our journey begins with a visit to the Menehune Fishpond. This is no ordinary pond, it is a jurassic size pond built in ancient times by the first inhabitants of Hawaii, the people from the Marquesas Islands. Marvel at the beautiful surroundings as we drive you through the Kipu Kai area. Learn about the fascinating legend of the Menehunes, the archeological and cultural importance of the pond. Many Hollywood movies have been filmed in this area. We will stop in two areas to take many pictures.
Next in the agenda will be at a stop at local bakery to sweeten our day. The price of food is not included in the tour.
Now is time to visit our first waterfall. Iconic Wailua Falls was featured on the opening scene of the old Fantasy Island Tv show. There is no hiking involved on this tour. We will however get out of the vehicle so you will have plenty of time for pictures.
Time to take a stroll down the path by the beautiful Lydgate Beach Park, where you can soak your feet in the famous Morgan Ponds (optional), learn about the ancient temple of worship were Hawaiians greeted the rising sun daily, the city of refuge, and more. This is a leisure walk for all age groups. you will have many picture opportunities. At this stop we will give you the opportunity to either hang out with your guide for a cultural immersion or have free time on your own.
At this stop you will take a short walk to visit two sites, Opaekaa Falls and the Wailua River lookout, located in Wailua town where the Hawaiian royalty lived in ancient times. Beautiful views and many picture ops await for you here.
We make eating fun! and that's why for lunch we will visit Kapaa town, where you will have many choices from food trucks and smoothie bars to restaurants. Your purchase will be supporting local mom and pop shops. In Kapaa you will also have the opportunity to visit the tasting room of Kauai's premier chocolatier, Lydgate Farms to do free chocolate tasting, and Kauai Gourmet Nuts for free nut tasting. You will also have the opportunity to shop for local souvenirs (optional). We will spend 1.5 hrs in this town, and that will be your free time to do what you choose to.

Coco is very knowledgeable and pleasant. She takes you to some amazing places and gives history on the way.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shasta and this family owned tour company. This was truly a top notch experience from beginning to end. Shasta is a local, and that made our tour feel so much more special. She shared beautiful places around Kauaʻi that felt like the kinds of places only locals would know. We weren’t simply sightseeing. We felt like we were getting to experience the island through someone who genuinely loves it and knows it so well. One of our stops was the beautiful Wailua Falls, and if you have the opportunity while you’re there, I hope you also get to meet Makepa B, the Lauhala Man. He was such a special person to meet and talk with and added another wonderful memory to our day. I thoroughly recommend taking the time to visit with him. You can also purchase a beautiful handmade keepsake to bring home, which makes the experience even more special. Shasta also took us to a wonderful local spot where we enjoyed fresh sugar cane and smoothies made with incredibly fresh ingredients. These little local experiences were some of my favorite parts of the day because they made the tour feel so authentic. It felt like we were getting a glimpse of the real Kauaʻi rather than just visiting the usual tourist stops. Because this was a small group island waterfall tour, we received such wonderful personal attention. Shasta was lovely, knowledgeable, fun, and incredibly helpful. We all had such a great time with her. What impressed me even more was how much she genuinely cared about us. I needed to get to the airport on time after the tour, and Shasta went out of her way to make sure I got there, personally dropping me off. That kind of kindness and customer service is something you don’t forget. Between the waterfalls, the beautiful scenery, the local experiences, and Shasta’s personal attention, this was such a special way to experience Kauaʻi. I would 100% recommend this family owned company and Shasta to anyone visiting the island. We had so much fun, made some wonderful memories, and I would book this tour again without hesitation! 🌺🌴
Coco is an amazing guide! We did the Waterfalls, Legends, and Geysers private tour. Our family of four had a wonderful day. Coco showed us some highlights we would never have even known about if we hadn't done this tour. She also shared with us some other "do not miss" tips. My son took careful notes of all of her recommendations and we tried them. She did not steer us wrong. She's very knowledgeable about the area, entertaining, and friendly. If you're on the fence about this tour, just do it!
Shasta, our guide, was so adorable, fun and very knowledgeable!! Would highly recommend!!
We had an excellent adventure. Coco our tour guide was phenomenal. Great personality, sense of humor , friendly & very knowledgeable. Loved the waterfalls
This is a fantastic way to see the east side of Kauai. The group is small; the guide is so fun and knowledgeable. She not only takes you to the sites, but also shares legends and history. It was a great day!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience today. We saw beautiful waterfalls without having to hike for miles, great information about the area, interesting history and great food with amazing choices of cuisine. If we could give 10 stars we would. We would really advise anyone in the area to check it out. Coco was wonderful- very knowledgeable and great fun.
The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable but the tour wasn’t what we expected. Saw 2 waterfalls but the rest of the tour was walkable from our hotel. We were expecting the tour to cover more area. The tour price was high for what we saw.
Coco is a very knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed the tales of history, the laughs, and the experiences she brought us to. Enjoyable! I highly recommend
We had a great time with Coco, she was an excellent guide. Very fun to talk to and had some interesting history to tell along with the sights we got to see. Would highly recommend.
Highly recommend this tour, As a solo traveler I got to ride shotgun and had the best seat in the house. Coco is super fun and knowledgeable. It was an excellent way to see the east side of the island. The bakery was an amazing way to start off the morning, it was exceptional! Then off to the pond and some famous waterfalls. Stopped at Lydgate beach and then to Kapaa town for shopping and lunch. ( I may have missed something). All in all, a great relaxing, and fun day. Coco is superb at her job, and it’s obvious that she loves what she does.
We really enjoyed our tour with Shasta! The small group really made it nice to see all the spots. Food at the mermaid was excellent. We went with two young kids and they were entertained the whole time. Highly recommend!
Had an absolute blast on this tour. Really chill, nothing super strenuous (if you’re looking for that). Punohu was our guide and was incredible. Super knowledgeable, really taught us about the land and was kind enough to share some fruits from him own garden.
The tour is mis-titled as a food tour. It is not. The breakfast and lunch stops are not included in the price and the chocolate and nut tasting are available to all visitors to the vendors. The scheduling is slipshod. About a week before the tour I was called to reschedule to the following week: no, I would be gone by then so I preferred the original date and she (Coco Marie) agreed to it. The day before the trip she called again to cancel it as there weren’t enough people signed up. As she was cancelling it there would be a refund. I asked her to give me a couple of hours to see if I could round up 2 more people for the tour. I had no takers so I made alternate plans and called her back. She stated that she had had more calls of interest in the tour so she would not cancel the tour after all and not refund me the payment even though she had said she would. She would not know until 8 pm if the tour was on (when she heard back from the interested party). When I expressed my dissatisfaction with this she changed to a 6 pm decision for the interested party and then to an earlier time. This reversal of scheduling and absolute refusal to refund the payment when she initially canceled the trip was unprofessional and maddening! My group of 3 finally agreed to the trip when the other interested party finally signed up. When we were on the tour she sent me an apologetic email which might have been an offer to refund to maintain the peace but it was disingenuous by that time. The tour was led by Shasta who was uninvolved in these shenanigans and she was a delight!
Shasta was a great tour guide! Full of energy and enthusiasm for her native island. If you like to have fun and hear some tall tales, I highly recommend booking a tour with her ASAP.
Shasta was fantastic. And a hoot. Tour was everything we were looking for in our last day in Kauai. She was informative and entertaining with lots of Hawai'i and Kauai info and some personal stories
Shasta was a joy, friendly and informative. She cheered everyone up all day long. We couldn't help but smile all day. What a pleasure to have her as our guide. Her driving was safe.
Absolutely fabulous tour, highly recommend. Shasta was our guide and she was so kind, and as a local, very knowledgeable about each area she showed us. We made several stops at beautiful locations, some of which were made famous from movies. Shasta took pictures for us and really made the outing very special. I will be recommending this tour to anyone I know visiting Kauai. Thank you for a great day!
Loved everything about this tour! Shasta was so amazing and upbeat. Even the other people in our group were wonderful. I loved the recommendations and patronizing Hawaiian businesses. My only regret is not doing this tour earlier in our trip.
It was very enjoyable. Coco was very sweet. Very entertaining. The food from the food truck was awesome.
Great experience and way to see and learn about the local and inside information on the Island. So much easier than driving yourself and plenty of flexibility to explore. Coco felt like family and was a fabulous guide. Thanks !!!
I’m someone that loves to learn the history about the places I travel, the beautiful scenery and a good time. You get all of that and more with Kaua’i Soul Travel. Coco is the absolute best! I could listen to her and hang out with her all day. Awesome tour guide and even better historian. Not a dull moment on the tour. You can definitely experience Kaua’i from the comfort of a nice air conditioned van and not miss a thing. Highly recommended this tour!! Thanks for a great time Kaua’i Soul Travel.

great tour..family business, the guide Shasta was great. Went to lots of interesting places, took us to great place to eat,(not long after the chocolate shop visit) Totally reliable in picking up and dropping off. Very comfortable vehicle. good way to see the islandf. Thanks
Our tour was great! We learned so much about the history of Hawai'i and its culture! Our guide was born and raised in Kauai so he had a lot of personal knowledge and expertise to share. He took us to places we never would have seen otherwise. I highly recommend this tour company and would definitly use them again. Not to mention I left my cell phone on the tour bus and they brought it to me at the pier before our ship left port in less than 3 hours! Big brownie points there!!!!
This tour was great, our guide taught us a lot about the history of the island and of the local ways and customs. The sites he took us to were amazing. I definitely recommend this tour.
Coco is an amazing guide and a lover of life! You can tell that she's invested in the Hawaiian culture and history and makes genuine connections with the people she partners with on her tour. Meeting Punohu and the restoration project he's involved in was an honor as well as a history, cultural, and linguistics lesson. Would highly recommend doing this tour at the top of your trip to get all the tips and recommendations from Coco before enjoying the rest of your time. Aloha!
With this being our first visit to Kauai, this small group tour really was terrific. Coco Maria shared a lot of the island's history and culture which helped us gain a better insight in understanding Kauai. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed her perspective on many topics. The waterfalls were beautiful and the chocolate tasting was a winner. Highly recommend. Great communication through the process.
Coco was very knowledgeable about the area and history. We visited some waterfalls, sacred sites, and she gave us the Hawaiian words that defined what the site's were. We also visited a beach, bakery, chocolate tasting, and a donut shop. We had a delicious lunch coffee of A food truck which we chose.
My families experience with Shasta was phenomenal, our trip was at the beginning of the month and it was super hot haha but the tour van was always nice and cold and our guide even brought cold waters for all of us. The tour started off with sightseeing the Jurassic park and other movie locations , but the breadth of Shasta ( our tour guide) knowledge was amazing ! She gave us so much more information than we would have ever found our own. The tour took us to beautiful water falls, she showed us a great family friendly beach that we actually ended up going to the most out of all the beaches ( Lydgate beach) most of all Shasta was unbelievably welcoming and kind. My children absolutely LOVED her , she’s a local and had so many informational historical tidbits that I was super happy and grateful we booked the tour. To anyone who’s been to Kauai before, or thinks you can just drive yourself to these destinations, I implore you to take the tour ! You go so much more out of having a local give you historical and anecdotal information:) it was just marvelous and Shasta was a sweet, knowledgeable, engaging tour guide. 10/10 I highly recommend !
Shasta was awesome. She show us all the great points of interest and more. She took the time to interact with us and the kids.. I would highly recommend the tour.
A very nice and very informative trip. Coco, our tour guide, was very knowledgable and provided us with valuable information about Kauai especially because it was the family’s first trip to the island. She also went out of her way to accommodate every requests we had. The trip was a very fun experience because of Coco’s friendly and pleasing personality. The trip is highly recommended especially with Coco as the tour guide!
Our family had an amazing time on this tour! Shasta was wonderful. We didn’t have to worry about anything and she took us around all the beautiful places in the island.
We had a great experience!! Kauai is so beautiful and rich in history!! Our tour guide Shasta was so informative about many areas of Kauai !!
The tour was amazing! Coco was incredibly informational and very personable!! It was the perfect half day tour for what we were looking for. Enjoyed the malassadas at the beginning and the local recommendations for lunch!
It was a wonderful tour with beautiful views of the land and waterfalls. The tour guide, Shasta, made it a fun tour with a lot of stories about the area and fun facts about Kauai.
What an amazing morning/afternoon! We did the East Side and Waterfalls tour and it was beyond what we could expect. Besides the amazing views, Shasta was a phenomenal host. We were with 6 people total and she was accommodated everyone’s needs/preferences. Her knowledge of the island and stories make the time go by so fast. If you want a fun way to explore the island, take in some waterfalls and views, this is an absolute must.
Coco is top notch. Very educated, great story telling, friendly and caring. The tour itself is awesome. Got to see many highlights without the hassle of driving ourselves. Highly recommend
I can’t say enough about how great Coco pie guide was. She was fun, informative and helpful. All of our stops were fabulous. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.
Small group as Coco took us to areas big buses couldn't go. She kept up an interesting talk about history, geology, culture, etc. While driving. Great personality. Loved each of the stops. You won't be disappointed.
We had a great time touring the East side of the island with our guide Coco. She created a perfect mix of fun, legends, history, and call-backs to movies shot here on the island. Small air conditioned van allows for more intimate group size. We saw waterfalls, beaches, historic sites and lunch in Kapa’a and so much more. Her years of experience living here provides expert advice on don’t miss parts of the island and excellent restaurants suggestions. She even helped us book a helicopter tour! Highly recommend- it flies by so fast and there’s no way you’d see this much on your own!
We loved this fun-filled, fast, beautiful introduction to the East side of Kauai. Coco, our guide, was hilarious, engaging and mixed in so many legends and historical tidbits as well as movie call-backs from classics shot here on the island. All from the comfort of her air conditioned van. Small group size makes it a very personalized, intimate group experience. She also gives a local expert’s advice on don’t-miss sites and excellent restaurants. She even helped us book a helicopter tour! The time flew by. Don’t miss this one.
A fun and educational tour. Our guide Coco is very knowledgeable about the history of the area. But more importantly for me, her great sense of humor and story telling ability made the time fly by. I highly recommend taking this tour.
Coco was an awesome guide for our private group tour. She had a great plan laid out and was flexible to meet the needs of the group. She was also attentive and accommodating to the needs of some from our group whom had physical limitations. She is a very safe driver, extremely knowledgeable of the area and culture, very sweet and quite funny. She knows everybody and everywhere we went we ran into her local friends who were also quite friendly and helpful, adding to the experience. Our group was part of a niched retreat and she helped us find a great place for a meditation experience we had planned internally. I highly recommend Coco for anyone interested in a safe, informative and entertaining trip and I will be booking with her again personally next time I visit the island.
The best part of this tour was our amazing tour guide, Coco. She was so kind, funny and had great stories to tell about the area. She took us to beautiful waterfalls, historic sites, a great beach picnic area and a nice restaurant for lunch. Her van had large windows so it was easy to see everything while we were driving. She never rushed us and we felt very comfortable and lucky to be on her tour. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai.
Excellent small group tour. Coco provides personal service and a fun and informative experience. The local legends stories were a unique aspect to the tour. I highly recommend you take this tour.
What a beautiful landscape. We had to choose a shorter excursion because of our cruise departing early. This was the best choice, BUT, what made all the difference making the day from good to excellent was our guide COCO from Kaui Soul Travel
We were delighted to hear all the stories and lore from our guide. It was fun to just watch and let someone else do the driving, parking etc. The fish pond and stories about the mountains were great. Our guide was fun and very entertaining. Don’t hesitate to join this tour, 1 suggestion is to do it early in your stay, it will open up more choices for your trip. Mahalo
Coco is the best tour guide & this was the best tour! We got to see so much of the island in a short amount of time. The landscape, waterfalls and beaches were beautiful. Coco is very knowledgeable of the island and a professional guide. She explained each location along with its’ history. She did an impressive job of catering the tour to our groups’ specific interests. I went with my family and there were two other families on the tour. We felt like old friends shortly into the tour because of how welcoming & comfortable Coco makes you feel. Delicious food, breathtaking views and new friends! Couldn’t ask for more. (Extra bonus her van is immaculate)
