Amazing dive with Dive Kauai at Koloa Landing! My guides, Dominic and Chris, were phenomenal. Thanks to them I saw two sea turtles sleeping tucked under the rocks, which I definitely would have swum right past on my own. They kept pointing out all kinds of cool fish and marine life the whole dive, and they made me feel completely comfortable and safe. Huge shout out to them both. If you're diving on Kauai's south shore, book with these guys. Highly recommend!

VIATOR IS NOT THE TOUR PROVIDER!! Yes, this dive is from the shore...but is not stereotypical at all. With easy entry and exit, short surface swim and lots of unique and plentiful marine life, this is the most popular south shore dive site. This is a shore dive located in very protected Hanaka’ape Bay, which is sheltered from surf, wind, and chop. There is very little surface swim involved, as the dive site begins just steps off the ramp. We set up all of your equipment close to the water in a comfortable setting. The large horseshoe-shaped bay allows us to dive in two distinct areas, perfect for a two tank excursion. The maximum depth here is approximately 50 feet with an average bottom time of 45 minutes, depending upon air consumption. The animals we encounter on a regular basis are: Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, up to seven species of moray eels (including the rare dragon eel), leaf and devil scorpionfish, octopus, hermit crabs, a variety of invertebrates (cone snails, auger snails, helmet snails, shrimp, sea stars, urchins), and hundreds of tropical fish!

This was a terrific shore dive experience. We are new divers and had only ever been on boat dives. But the cove was rich with life and we everything from sea turtles, rays, octopus, and countless species of fish and vibrant coral. Our dive master, Logan was amazing. We'll definitely be back to with Kauai Dive.
This was the first shore dive. It was a different experience. The undercurrent was quite difficult getting in and out, but the dive instructor was excellent. He was knowledgeable and funny and experienced with the surroundings. My daughter was having equalizing issues and he took his time and was very helpful. I would use him again.
This dive was excellent. Dive Kauai kept us informed of where to meet and had all of the gear ready to go. Did a great job of having a safety briefing and reviewing the wildlife we were likely to see prior to getting our gear ready to go. Once on the dive, they were very conscientious to show wildlife to view. So many turtles and eels! It was an awesome dive. Highly recommend.
What a completely unique experience! The amount of turtles was mind blowing ! I loved both dives! Our DM Zack was the BEST! We had 2 first time divers with us, and he truly took time and patience to help us all! Thank you Zack! He also brought a GoPro for us to use since I left mine at home. Great job by the whole crew at Kauai dive!
This was an excellent dive, very convenient marina to get to and park at. The boat, gear, and crew were excellent - we had a ton of fun the entire time we were out on the water. Dive sites were great, we saw a ton of marine life, especially turtles and even got to listen to humpback whales that were somewhere nearby.
Excellent! Water was clear - we saw lots of colorful fish and turtles. It was so good we are doing it again in a few days.
Staff had lots of knowledge, were helpful, and made this dive experience as best as it could possibly be in less than optimal weather and water conditions. In fact, an afternoon scooter dive had to be canceled due to weather and water conditions, and they slid me to a same-day morning two-tank boat dive. I’m glad they did this and had a very good time (I saw the biggest sea turtle I’ve ever seen).
Jimmy was an excellent dive master guide. He was patient and also described many aspects of the dive we would encounter.
Had a great time diving with Alejandra!! Awesome dives where we saw multiple turtles along with octopus, eels, amd lots of amazing fish!!
Our family had an exceptional experience with Dive Kauai during the Ultimate Shore Dive. From start to finish, the dive was professionally organized and our crew was welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do. A special shout‑out to our divemaster, Avery Smith, whose professionalism and deep knowledge of the reef ecosystem made the entire dive unforgettable. Avery has a gift for blending expertise with approachability—he took the time to explain what we were seeing, why it mattered, and how to move through the water in a way that respected the marine environment. This was our second dive with him and we searched him out because of his expertise. Most importantly, Avery brought tremendous comfort and confidence to our young diver. His calm presence, clear communication, and genuine care transformed what could have been a nervous moment into a joyful and empowering experience. Watching our child light up underwater was something we’ll never forget, and Avery played a huge role in that. If you’re considering diving on Kauai—especially with kids or newer divers—Dive Kauai and the Ultimate Shore Dive are absolutely the way to go. We left with new skills, great memories, and a deeper appreciation for the island’s incredible underwater world. Highly recommended.
We booked the 2 tank South Island Boat Adventure Dive in Dec 26 with Dive Kauai. My husband unfortunately had a respiratory infection and couldn't dive, but Captain Nick let him ride along on the boat which I was happy about as I already felt apprehensive about diving without him. Dive Master Zach was excellent, showing us unique underwater terrain at Sheraton Caverns & Harbor Ledges and pointed out different sea life along the way: sea turtles, moray eels, octopus, and so many varieties of fish! We even saw dolphins after our dive! Overall it was an excellent dive outing!
This was our fourth time with Dive Kauai and we had an excellent experience! Avery was a great dive master who communicated well, he connected with my nephew who was almost 14, and gave us great suggestions for a more successful dive, not only this time but for the future. The dive site, Kōloa Landing, had limited visibility, but we still saw quite a bit. Highly recommend!
Avery was such a goat. I had so much fun and I’m convinced his jokes and immaculate vibes brought out all the cool sea life: many turtles, THREE octopus, and this super tiny clear amoeba looking creature that I forgot the name of. I promise you will never have a bad time with this chill lil dude Avery!!
Avery was such a legend and taught me a lot about diving! He was super easy to understand and he made my friend and I feel like we were in very good hands.
The views are stunning, and the ship captain shared lots of interesting information! The staff were great as well. Highly recommended to see a view of Kauai you would otherwise never experience.
We had Logan, he was absolutely amazing! Made me feel so comfortable as a newbie, fun, very informative, knowledgeable and once again amazing!
Great morning for diving. Shore dive from Koala Landing in Poipu. Water and conditions were great. Diving guide was awesome. 2 50mins dives. Lots of fish, turtles, and eels. We go these dives each time was come to the island.
We had a fantastic 2 dive experience with Dominic our dive guide. We are on the old side and needed extra help to get in the water from the beech. Dominic was extremely helpful and accommodating. He lead us on a great dive where we saw ever kind of fish and a few sea turtles. The dive was fairly easy so if you rusty or new this is the perfect dive for you. Thanks Dominic for a great day from two old farts..
Wonderful experience for our first time dividing in Kauai! Alejandra was very knowledgeable and attentive to our group. She made sure to point out all of the diverse marine life on our dive and even provided snacks in between dives (thank you!). We will definitely be back and dive with Dive Kauai! Mahalo!
Great experience!! I’m a newly certified recreational diver. Dominic was professional patient and kind. I saw dolphins and sea turtles, so I was thrilled.
We did two, 2-tank dives. Two dives on Tuesday. Two dives on Friday...because Tuesday was amazing! The water was very clear and warm on both days. They equipment they provided was top-notch! We lucked out and got Logan both days as our dive leader. Logan knows his stuff!!! Not just diving, but every fish and other creature in the water. He did a super, relaxed briefing. He did a great job of getting us geared up. Under the water, he found tons of stuff. Turtles are almost always around. Green Lionfish are not! He found them for us. On on coral head, he found 2! Beautiful! The shore entry here is straight-forward and the water remains calm. Logan was a great help with my wife who was nervous about the shore entry. The dive group is kept small and manageable. 5 plus Logan on both days. Just an outstanding dive experience!!! Will definitely come back here!
Scheduled a 2 tank dive for myself and my great nephew to mark off one of my bucket list items and to have my last dive in Hawaii before retiring from diving. The dive was phenomenal and the two dive masters were great! Unfortunately, I had forgotten to bring my bridge with me and didn't realize it until I started the dive. Instead of aborting the dive I opted to try to at least do the first dive and then quit. As you can assume, without my teeth on one side of my mouth, I couldn't hold the regulator in and ended up asperating some water into my lungs. No fun let me tell you. I signaled to abort and the two dive masters took over expertly and professionally got me out of the water and into the capable hands of the EMT's. I highly praise them and Josh for the expert team he has assembled and would recommend them to any diver from new to experienced level. As for my last dive of my career (at 74 years old), it was an adventure I will never forget and will tell to my family of why I was able to tell them about it in person. GREAT TEAM Josh! And thank you!
Logan was a great dive master showing us the underwater sea life. He made it a great day. Very patient and friendly working with our group. 😊
I had a great dive today with Logan as dive-master and Drew as captain. Logan did a fantastic job in guiding us above and under water: first he gave us insights on places to visit while we were heading east. I added most to my bucket-list:) Following he securely showed us us Kipu Kai and Sheraton caverns. I trusted him from the very first moment on. Drew did also fantastic in shipping us through rough water… I wish for more such great adventures. Mahalo to the crew for this first dive on Hawaii. 🌸🧞🤿😎
Well organized - AJ and Captain Nick were efficient and accommodating. Saw turtles from the boat, on the way to dive sites, many while diving and when we got back to dock. Did Fishbowl and Sheraton Caverns - lot of fish and a ton of turtles. Easy boat diving - they provided all the gear to include wetsuits and dive computers. Loved it.
Logan and Brandon were great! We first went to Ledges and then Sheraton. Sheraton by far was the best. So many turtles and octopus and fish! Great site. Small boat. Small group. Love it.
Absolutely loved diving with them! Our divemaster Zach was incredibly friendly and professional - and we saw some great stuff too! 🐙 🐢 🐠
My husband and I had a fantastic time diving with Dive Kaua‘i for an afternoon trip on the south shore. It was an open-water dive—relatively shallow and just a short boat ride out. We visited two sites, including the amazing Sheraton Caverns. I’d absolutely recommend this spot! If you ask, they’ll do their best to make it happen. The swim-throughs and walls were so cool to explore, and the highlight was a turtle that got super close and even followed us through a swim-through—such an awesome moment! The boat is small, so it can get a bit rocky. If you’re prone to seasickness, bring medicine just in case. Also, bring your own water and snacks, but pack light because space is tight and things will likely get wet. Overall, a great dive experience with beautiful sites and plenty to see underwater!
Wonderful experience with guide Ginger. Want to have turtle exposure, this was it! Beautiful animals! Explored the mountains of rocks that lie beneath the the water's edge to see tropical fish and a Sea Dragon eel. Entry and exit a bit challenging due to currents but manageable to swim out to buoy.
Had a great shore dive with Logan. We saw a bunch of underwater life including sea turtles and even a pod of dolphins.
Great Dive! My first time diving in HI. Was so nice to dive from the shore and walk right out to the site. My Dive Master Reid was professional and led a great dive. I felt safe the entire time and we had a nice pre-dive brief about likely wildlife. If I'm back in Kauai I'd dive with them again.
First time dive with my daughter and what a fantastic experience. Our guide was Georgia and she was truly amazing. She took care of everything as far as set up for both dives and had snacks and drinks for the in-between. She was very friendly and engaging and made everyone feel safe and comfortable. She did a great job leading us and finding fish, turtles and much more. My daughter injured her back a few years ago and the walk in landing was perfect and Georgia went above and beyond helping her get her equipment on in the water. We truly had a great experience and highly recommend. Very detailed all the way to even the road directions and parking area signs to look for. Thanks for a great experience!
Logan killed it! Even though it was a low vis day, I had a blast! Saw turtles, eels, and so many fish. Loved this, would highly recommend!
My snore dive experience with this company was great. My guide, Dominic, was patient, pointed out sea life he saw, and made sure I was doing alright throughout my dive. My last dive was over 20 years ago, so his patience was much appreciated. The company was very responsive with any questions I had. I would recommend this company if you’d like to go diving in Kaui
Had a great time diving with Dive Kauai. Our guide Logan was very knowledgeable about the area and fish. He did a great job pointing out what we were seeing. It was a bit cloudy and we still saw some great sights. Would use them again when I'm in Kauai
Logan was an incredible scuba diving instructor who took great care of our entire family. He came well-prepared with wetsuits for everyone, even though most of us didn’t end up needing them—it was thoughtful and reassuring to see that he was ready for anything. He provided properly sized shoes, comfortable fins, and masks/goggles that fit everyone well. During the dive, Logan guided us through an amazing underwater experience, pointing out a variety of fish and making sure we were all safe and having fun. He was extremely accommodating—offering snacks, switching out our tanks, and helping us in and out of our BCDs with ease. Logan was also incredibly kind and patient with our 11-year-old, taking him on as his buddy and helping out when we struggled with fins in the water. His friendly and well-mannered attitude made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We truly enjoyed spending time with him and appreciated everything he did to make the dive a great memory for our family.
I had two great dives at Koloa Landing with AJ. He was personable and knowledgeable. I hadn’t dived in nearly two years, but felt very comfortable with his guidance. The equipment was excellent. I recommend DiveKauai and will book with them again.
This is a fantastic dive! The staff was fantastic, friendly and I was able to see different species.
Jimmy (dive master) and Nick (captain) were both exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They are both very knowledgeable and eager to share that knowledge with the divers. Equipment was great as well. Highly recommend diving with these guys.
It was a great dive site and dive master. It was very fun, pretty, and stress free. No complaints at all, and I would definitely come back again for another dive with this company.
Fun time. Our diver master was very knowledgeable, laid back and put us at easy. Saw so many sea turtles, a barracuda, octopus, and many pretty fish!
Dominic was a great guide who was calm and helped my son and I have a fun and relaxing dive. We saw lots of cool fish and turtles.
Wow! Saw it all on the very first dive! Avery spotted a breaching humpback and playful dolphins before we entered the water. He was very attentive to proper procedures gearing up and entering the water. He showed us several types of nudibranchs, turtles galore, a large spotted eagle ray, octopus, various fish and rock formations. Hearing the whale songs were a special treat. "Rooster" did us right!
It was nice that the gear was included! Getting in can be tricky but just watch your step. Was a nice dive with about 20-30' visibility, lots of baby fish, turtles, eels, an octopus, and more crazy fish I had never seen before. The coral looked healthy and colorful as well. It was worth it!
Great staff, outstanding dives! Between Fishbowl and Sheraton Caves, the locations Kauai Divers accesses provide a huge diversity of tropical aquatic life (humpback whales on the boat ride out, white tip sharks, eagle ray, octopus, lots of sea turtles, and more!) and awesome underwater geological features, notably the lava tubes. Friendly, easygoing dive master/captain, small group size, solid choice for a dive outfitter on Kauai!
Dominic did an amazing job pointing out all the sea life and getting our attention if we missed anything cool. The other couple that was with us only stayed for one dive so we had a private dive for the second tank and it was absolutely an amazing experience. We seen at least a dozen turtles and quite a few eels and even a glimpse of an octopus. The reefs were full of life, truly was beautiful. During the surface interval Dominic provided snacks and drinks and continued to point out the whales breaching as we were on shore. Great valentines dive!
The dive master was very experienced. He knew the local creatures. Everything was set up for us without any difficulty. It was a great dive experience.
Our dive master, Logan, was top-notch. Very experienced, knowledgeable, thoroughly helpful especially for a couple of divers who were a bit rusty. His hands on approach was greatly appreciated.
What a great group of dive masters. Very familiar with the area, where the octopi live, where the turtles hang out. Easy dive, and a lot of fun. As a bonus, we had our 14 year old son certified by them through PADI - and he had a great experience also. Highly recommend these guys, from Jimi, to Rooster, to Alex - great dives, safe and fun. I just needed to bring my goggles and fins - easy as can be.
