Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort

My spouse and I LOVED our stay here. Torrie at front desk check in was amazing and so professional. Our room was beautiful, gorgeously renovated and faced the ocean. The bike rentals were included in the resort fee and the coastal path was right next to the hotel. The shave ice was a nice touch when the weather is good. The hot tub was extra hot, so even with a little rain it was still enjoyable. Hammocks and chairs by the water were great. I would stay here again

Rooms seem to be outdated and could need some renovation; service differs - some members of the staff are really nice and helpful, unfortunately not all of them. The location is quite nice, with some shops and restaurants nearby. Rental car definitely recommended in order to be flexible. Summarizing - there are better locations available on Kaua’i for the same or even less money.

The good. Nice rooms. Very helpful staff. Nice beach. Great pool area. The bad. The breakfast buffet. Location is not the best. This review is is heavily influenced by the breakfast buffet, very expensive yet limited in variety. I have stayed at courtyard Marriots with much better breakfast bars included in rate. No cold cuts, no cheeses, poor selection of pastries. Cooked meats was also lacking. The made to order omelet tasted like burned cooking oil. Biggest disappointment ever on a breakfast buffet. Beach bar is not very impressive either. The rooms are good and clean. The front desk crew is very cordial.

We booked a day room because we had a late flight. It was not that much less than the full rate btw, and we spent nearly $100 on food. But we got treated so differently. The hotel was nowhere near full, but Day room guests evidently get a different level of service. The hotel is under construction, and our room was in between the construction and the garbage dumpsters and the loading dock, adjacent to the parking lot. That room should have been 1/4 of the price we paid. If you are given room 357, ask to change immediately. When we checked in, we noticed everyone else being offered fresh juice. But not for the day room guests! This was our first time trying this hotel out, but will be our last. Do better for ALL paying guests.
