Don't let the negative reviews put you off. We stayed there from March 13th to 15th, and it was definitely worth it. The service was consistently very friendly. Communication was seamless in English and, to some extent, in German. The grounds are quite spacious, but it's practically impossible to get lost – everything is well signposted, and you also receive a map at check-in. The location is absolutely fantastic, just a 10-minute walk to the city center. The rooms are a bit dated, but perfectly adequate and, most importantly, clean. Karlovy Vary isn't exactly a modern, high-end metropolis, and the overall impression is perfectly fitting. The breakfast was ample and varied, so you'll definitely leave satisfied. The spa area is also decent. In my opinion, the pool could perhaps be one or two degrees warmer, but it's still perfectly usable. The whirlpool was pleasantly warm, and the steam room was perfectly fine. I was only slightly disappointed that the saunas were separate. The biggest drawback, in my view, is the parking situation. We were lucky and managed to get a spot, but I imagine that's quite difficult, especially during peak season. Overall, though, we had a pleasant stay and would come back.

Hotel Bristol is a beautiful cozy hotel located very close to the center of Karlovy Vary, I was very pleasantly surprised even though you have to register in the main hotel and you have to take the elevator to your hotel but it's not a bad thing at all, you can at least look around the beautiful landscape around the main hotel. The staff who gave us the keys to the rooms and registered us were very helpful and accommodating and the young lady with the older lady were very pleasant and smiling. The room was beautiful and clean, too bad it was cold in the evening but you can warm up a little under the duvet otherwise we were very satisfied and at breakfast we were very impressed how everything was clean and prepared and everything was up to date, not to forget the lady who collected and replenished the goods for me for 1+, just great, thank you for a wonderful experience and we will definitely come again. Thank you Zimmermann

We expected more from our stay. To be fair, the plus points … The location is good, close to the thermal. There are nice views from where you have breakfast What we didn’t like … Their systems seem to be in a mess. We received more than one email saying our reservation had been cancelled (wasn’t the case). It’s inconvenient that the reception and restaurant are in a different hotel, Bristol Palace, next to this hotel. The hotel itself is in a shabby state for a 4 star hotel. Examples, showers really poor, old decor, holes in table cloth at breakfast. Their policy on paying for children felt unfair. We had to pay 50 euros extra per night, however we weren’t given a bed for our child, so left wondering what we were paying extra for. Staff were cold and unfriendly.
Swimming pool doesn’t work before the breakfast.
