Overall, it is a great location. The staff are friendly, helpful, and willing to think along with you. Although the building is older, it is very well maintained. The view itself is absolutely stunning.

Definitely overpriced hotel for what you get. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. The room was cold and when asked about it, was told there is no more heating in May. The park is run down same as the hotel. The big guy in the reception was very rude. Pool was OK, but water not really very clean. The breakfast was pretty good. Enjoyed the sour herrings. To our surprise the heating got turned on.
Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend Our stay at The Bristol Palace Hotel in Karlovy Vary was far from what we expected. Upon arrival, there was no concierge to assist with luggage, and security did not allow us to park briefly in front of the entrance for unloading. The reception staff spoke very little English, making communication extremely difficult—surprising for an international hotel. The rooms were outdated and not very clean, and overall, the hotel’s customer service standards were quite low. The breakfast selection was very limited, repetitive, and not particularly tasty, to the point that we brought our own food. Accessing the pool required a five-minute walk through an underground tunnel connecting the buildings, which was inconvenient. Additionally, we had booked Fango treatments, but when our appointment time arrived, we were simply informed via letter that the treatment was canceled due to a lack of supplies, with no rescheduling or alternative offered. On a positive note, the massage therapists were friendly and spoke English, providing the only welcoming experience during our stay. Overall, if you expect good customer service, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere, I cannot recommend this hotel.
I was very impressed with how nice this hotel was for the very affordable price. The breakfast had good coffee and a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. Parking was unconventional, but worked for 15 euros a night. Our room was spacious and very clean. The landscaping and pool were wonderful. It is a 4 minute downhill walk to the main promenade.
Location: The hotel is located on a hill over the main attractions of Karlovy vary, so take this into account if you are unable to walk such ways. Overall, the view is great. The hotel: The entrance to the hotel is gated, the staff barely speaks any English. If you want to park at the hotel, it will cost you 15Euro per day. Make sure to have the reservation with you. The rooms are okay, a bit elegant and classy. The hotel is the same, but its visible that it is old. The spa: The spa which you get with your room is fine. Nothing to fancy, but overall okay. Just the way to it is slightly confusing and especially long. For most of the other parts, you need to pay. The breakfast: Its okay, costs 5 Euro and the buffet is fine. Just the coffee machine is very slow. The staff there just doesn't really care about the customers. We were even told to hurry up. The staff: Most of the staff doesn't speak English, max. is broken. One person at the reception speaks broken German. Overall, not customer friendly or able to support you with inqueries. Rather unfriendly. I expect in such a hotel to have fluent staff in English and especially, customer oriented. The parking situation: Really bad. I made a reservation incl. parking and the reception did not understand it. It was a huge discussion and the staff wanted me to go to a public parking spot and return there with our stuff. Luckily, the security managed to help me and I was able to park in the hotel area, the discussion took just 20 minutes. Would I book this hotel again? No, not at all. The price was too high, the staff was pretty unfriendly and unable to communicate in English. The parking situation is horrible and the check in took nearly 30 minutes, just than getting told "No parking, no". It seems the staff isn't trained to support the customers. At breakfast the staff even came to us, pointed at a seat and told us to hurry, just because we eat slowly and plan the day. The rooms are overall okay, but that is it. I am disappointed by price vs. value. So i can just give it a 2 star rating, because the overall stay was badly influenced by the staff, the long ways to pool and spa and the bad parking situation. Some fancy rooms and a good design do not cover that lack of customer orientation.
