This was an incredible experience from start to finish. For context, we stayed in a riverside room (after doing our research) as a young couple. After many years of hard work and studying, it was our first opportunity to experience a five starred hotel. The rooms were incredible, the cleanliness level was very high and the cleaning staff was very kind to us. The service we received for the cleaning of our room was one of the best parts of the experience. Spa amenities were great, but can’t speak to spa services since we didn’t have time for it. I am interested to try a massage or body treatment next time around. Many reviews complain beds are too hard but it was incredible as both myself and fiancé work in IT and have issues with back and posture. Personally I’m very into fitness and I would have appreciated more options for lighter weights at the gym as a woman. I need to protect my gains without injuries from lifting too heavy weights :) I appreciated the cleanliness and calm atmosphere there. I breakfast and pastries in the cafe were all very excellent and we had a great time at the James Bond themed bar. However, there are not many different menu items between cafe and the two restaurants. Between us and food allergies/sensitivities, we ended up with limited options and repeating our meals. The grand restaurant was an interesting atmosphere, but the service was a bit off and meat from duck leg was dry. There was not enough sauce for dumplings either. The spices and flavoring was nice but didn’t make up for it. It was my first Michelin starred restaurant, but I have eaten the same traditional Czech dish at a Michelin awarded (bib gourmand) restaurant in Prague and it was far superior. Next time we will explore restaurants outside of the hotel for lunch and dinner. We also experienced several staff members assuming we were children of guests waiting behind us at check in or at a restaurant entrance. It’s uncomfortable and not okay to assume this about guests. A simple question if we were a group would suffice. I understand that we are on the younger side in our 20s, but this was an odd assumption about our personal life from staff. We also appreciated the view from the balcony, but would have preferred the balcony to be cleaned and have some basic seating options to have our coffee in the morning there, for example. The balcony had bird excrement and dust on it, which didn’t make it the best to enjoy, although the views were beautiful. Overall, we had an incredible experience and cannot wait to stay again, especially now that we know what to expect.

I spent amazing longer weekend on Sunday and Monday. Even touch the weather was very hot air conditioning worked very well in the room as well as throughout rhe hotel. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I used SPA and swimingpool which was very relaxing. Very good breakfast. Amaizing space in a historic hotel building. For next stage in Karlovy Vary is Grandhotel PUPP my choise No.1
Exceptional hotel and services! Absolutely loved it here, the room is beautifully appointed and the staff is very responsive and helpful. Use the pillow menu located on the night stand - the pillows that are standard in rooms look great but are terrible. The breakfast is amazing; so many options (a bit overwhelming, but everything is delicious). The ginger wellness shots are excellent. We used the spa area and they provide robes and slippers. We loved the salt cave it; really helped with my allergies and it’s relaxing. The gym has weights but the dumbbells only go to 10 kg (aka baby weights). They have a few cardio machines but a nice multipurpose room. The restaurant in the main hotel is lacking presentation and service are excellent but the food falls flat for dinner. The gravy for the duck was terrible and ruined the food, the duck was warm not hot, and the salad, to which we added goat cheese, was mostly goat cheese…so odd. Cocktails and wine list excellent and the sourdough bread was mid but the brioche bread delicious. We had an excellent stay and would go back.
Wow! I have never stayed at a hotel with such incredible hospitality and service. The staff’s ability to provide care and solutions was almost magic. Particularly, Radek, Katrina, and Martin made our experience a once in a lifetime joy. The architecture and location are such a treat, but the people make the hotel truly spectacular.
Great hotel. It’s a tourist destination on its own. Lots of history at the hotel. The architecture is great. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The rooms vary a lot depending on the wing you’re staying in. The main hotel, has renovated rooms, so they have AC. Nice tall 14ft ceiling. We also stayed in the quisisanna suites. These rooms are a lot bigger, ours was a 2 room suite with 2 balconies. Downside was no personal AC but there was AC with a little control to help be comfortable. The downside of these rooms are they’re across the street and river. So it is detached from the hotel, so all your Spa appointments and breakfast is across the way. Though there is a bridge right at the front entrance to get you across. So it’s not far. Just for some spa appointments we found ourselves walking across the street in our bathrooms, saw others doing this as well.
